(2:58) | وَإِذْ قُلْنَا ٱدْخُلُوا۟ هَٰذِهِ ٱلْقَرْيَةَ فَكُلُوا۟ مِنْهَا حَيْثُ شِئْتُمْ رَغَدًا وَٱدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْبَابَ سُجَّدًا وَقُولُوا۟ حِطَّةٌ نَّغْفِرْ لَكُمْ خَطَٰيَٰكُمْ وَسَنَزِيدُ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ | wa‑idh qulnā idkhulū hādhihi l‑qaryata fa‑kulū minhā ḥaythu shiʾtum raghadan wa‑adkhulū l‑bāba sujjadan wa‑qūlū ḥiṭṭaṭun naghfir la‑kum khaṭāyākum wa‑sanazīdu l‑muḥsinīna | And remember We said: "Enter this town, and eat of the plenty
therein as ye wish; but enter the gate with humility, in posture and in
words, and We shall forgive you your faults and increase (the portion of)
those who do good."
Sura al-Baqara 2:58 وَإِذْ قُلْنَا ٱدْخُلُوا۟ هَٰذِهِ ٱلْقَرْيَةَ فَكُلُوا۟ مِنْهَا حَيْثُ شِئْتُمْ رَغَدًا وَٱدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْبَابَ سُجَّدًا وَقُولُوا۟ حِطَّةٌ نَّغْفِرْ لَكُمْ خَطَٰيَٰكُمْ وَسَنَزِيدُ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ wa-idh qulnā idkhulū hādhihi l-qaryata fa-kulū minhā ḥaythu shiʾtum raghadan wa-adkhulū l-bāba sujjadan wa-qūlū ḥiṭṭaṭun naghfir la-kum khaṭāyākum wa-sanazīdu l-muḥsinīna And remember We said: "Enter this town, and eat of the plenty therein as ye wish; but enter the gate with humility, in posture and in words, and We shall forgive you your faults and increase (the portion of) those who do good." |
(2:111) | وَقَالُوا۟ لَن يَدْخُلَ ٱلْجَنَّةَ إِلَّا مَن كَانَ هُودًا أَوْ نَصَٰرَىٰ تِلْكَ أَمَانِيُّهُمْ قُلْ هَاتُوا۟ بُرْهَٰنَكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَ | wa‑qālū lan yadkhula l‑jannata illā man kāna hūdan aw naṣārā tilka amānīyuhum qul hātū burhānakum in kuntum ṣādiqīna | And they say: "None shall enter Paradise unless he be a Jew or
a Christian." Those are their (vain) desires. Say: "Produce your proof if
ye are truthful."
Sura al-Baqara 2:111 وَقَالُوا۟ لَن يَدْخُلَ ٱلْجَنَّةَ إِلَّا مَن كَانَ هُودًا أَوْ نَصَٰرَىٰ تِلْكَ أَمَانِيُّهُمْ قُلْ هَاتُوا۟ بُرْهَٰنَكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَ wa-qālū lan yadkhula l-jannata illā man kāna hūdan aw naṣārā tilka amānīyuhum qul hātū burhānakum in kuntum ṣādiqīna And they say: "None shall enter Paradise unless he be a Jew or a Christian." Those are their (vain) desires. Say: "Produce your proof if ye are truthful." |
(2:114) | وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّن مَّنَعَ مَسَٰجِدَ ٱللَّـهِ أَن يُذْكَرَ فِيهَا ٱسْمُهُۥ وَسَعَىٰ فِى خَرَابِهَآ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ مَا كَانَ لَهُمْ أَن يَدْخُلُوهَآ إِلَّا خَآئِفِينَ لَهُمْ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا خِزْىٌ وَلَهُمْ فِى ٱلْأَخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ | wa‑man aẓlamu mimman manaʿa masājida allāhi an yudhkara fīhā ismuhu wa‑saʿa fī kharābihā ulāʾika mā kāna lahum an yadkhulūhā illā khāʾifīna lahum fī l‑dunyā khizun wa‑lahum fī l‑akhirati ʿadhābun ʿaẓīmun | And who is more unjust than he who forbids that in places for
the worship of Allah, Allah's name should be celebrated?-whose zeal is (in
fact) to ruin them? It was not fitting that such should themselves enter
them except in fear. For them there is nothing but disgrace in this world,
and in the world to come, an exceeding torment.
Sura al-Baqara 2:114 وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّن مَّنَعَ مَسَٰجِدَ ٱللَّـهِ أَن يُذْكَرَ فِيهَا ٱسْمُهُۥ وَسَعَىٰ فِى خَرَابِهَآ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ مَا كَانَ لَهُمْ أَن يَدْخُلُوهَآ إِلَّا خَآئِفِينَ لَهُمْ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا خِزْىٌ وَلَهُمْ فِى ٱلْأَخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ wa-man aẓlamu mimman manaʿa masājida allāhi an yudhkara fīhā ismuhu wa-saʿa fī kharābihā ulāʾika mā kāna lahum an yadkhulūhā illā khāʾifīna lahum fī l-dunyā khizun wa-lahum fī l-akhirati ʿadhābun ʿaẓīmun And who is more unjust than he who forbids that in places for the worship of Allah, Allah's name should be celebrated?-whose zeal is (in fact) to ruin them? (2:208) | يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱدْخُلُوا۟ فِى ٱلسِّلْمِ كَآفَّةً وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا۟ خُطُوَٰتِ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنِ إِنَّهُۥ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُّبِينٌ | yā‑ayyuhā lladhīna āmanū idkhulū fī l‑silmi kāffatan wa‑lā tattabiʿū khuṭuwāti l‑shayṭāni innahu la‑kum ʿaduwwun mubīnun | O ye who believe! Enter into Islam whole-heartedly; and follow
not the footsteps of the evil one; for he is to you an avowed enemy.
Sura al-Baqara 2:208 يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱدْخُلُوا۟ فِى ٱلسِّلْمِ كَآفَّةً وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا۟ خُطُوَٰتِ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنِ إِنَّهُۥ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُّبِينٌ yā-ayyuhā lladhīna āmanū idkhulū fī l-silmi kāffatan wa-lā tattabiʿū khuṭuwāti l-shayṭāni innahu la-kum ʿaduwwun mubīnun O ye who believe! Enter into Islam whole-heartedly; and follow not the footsteps of the evil one; for he is to you an avowed enemy. |
(2:214) | أَمْ حَسِبْتُمْ أَن تَدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْجَنَّةَ وَلَمَّا يَأْتِكُم مَّثَلُ ٱلَّذِينَ خَلَوْا۟ مِن قَبْلِكُم مَّسَّتْهُمُ ٱلْبَأْسَآءُ وَٱلضَّرَّآءُ وَزُلْزِلُوا۟ حَتَّىٰ يَقُولَ ٱلرَّسُولُ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مَعَهُۥ مَتَىٰ نَصْرُ ٱللَّـهِ أَلَآ إِنَّ نَصْرَ ٱللَّـهِ قَرِيبٌ | am ḥasibtum an tadkhulū l‑jannata wa‑lammā yatikum mathalu lladhīna khalaw min qablikum massathumu l‑baʾsāʾu wa‑l‑ḍarrāʾu wazulzilū ḥattā yaqūla l‑rasūlu wa‑lladhīna āmanū maʿahu mata naṣru allāhi āla inna naṣra allāhi qarībun | Or do ye think that ye shall enter the Garden (of bliss)
without such (trials) as came to those who passed away before you? they
encountered suffering and adversity, and were so shaken in spirit that even
the Messenger and those of faith who were with him cried: "When (will come)
the help of Allah?" Ah! Verily, the help of Allah is (always) near!
Sura al-Baqara 2:214 أَمْ حَسِبْتُمْ أَن تَدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْجَنَّةَ وَلَمَّا يَأْتِكُم مَّثَلُ ٱلَّذِينَ خَلَوْا۟ مِن قَبْلِكُم مَّسَّتْهُمُ ٱلْبَأْسَآءُ وَٱلضَّرَّآءُ وَزُلْزِلُوا۟ حَتَّىٰ يَقُولَ ٱلرَّسُولُ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مَعَهُۥ مَتَىٰ نَصْرُ ٱللَّـهِ أَلَآ إِنَّ نَصْرَ ٱللَّـهِ قَرِيبٌ am ḥasibtum an tadkhulū l-jannata wa-lammā yatikum mathalu lladhīna khalaw min qablikum massathumu l-baʾsāʾu wa-l-ḍarrāʾu wazulzilū ḥattā yaqūla l-rasūlu wa-lladhīna āmanū maʿahu mata naṣru allāhi āla inna naṣra allāhi qarībun Or do ye think that ye shall enter the Garden (of bliss) without such (trials) as came to those who passed away before you? they encountered suffering and adversity, and were so shaken in spirit that even the Messenger and those of faith who were with him cried: "When (will come) the help of Allah?" Ah! Verily, the help of Allah is (always) near! |
(3:37) | فَتَقَبَّلَهَا رَبُّهَا بِقَبُولٍ حَسَنٍ وَأَنۢبَتَهَا نَبَاتًا حَسَنًا وَكَفَّلَهَا زَكَرِيَّا كُلَّمَا دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا زَكَرِيَّا ٱلْمِحْرَابَ وَجَدَ عِندَهَا رِزْقًا قَالَ يَٰمَرْيَمُ أَنَّىٰ لَكِ هَٰذَا قَالَتْ هُوَ مِنْ عِندِ ٱللَّـهِ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ يَرْزُقُ مَن يَشَآءُ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ | fa‑taqabbalahā rabbuhā bi‑qabūlin ḥasanin wa‑anbatahā nabātan ḥasanan wa‑kaffalahā zakariyyā kullamā dakhala ʿalayhā zakariyyā l‑miḥrāba wajada ʿindahā rizqan qalā yā‑maryamu annā laki hādhā qālat huwa min ʿindi allāhi inna allāha yarzuqu man yashāʾu bi‑ghayri ḥisābin | Right graciously did her Lord accept her: He made her grow in
purity and beauty: To the care of Zakariya was she assigned. Every time
that he entered (Her) chamber to see her, He found her supplied with
sustenance. He said: "O Mary! Whence (comes) this to you?" She said: "From
Allah: for Allah Provides sustenance to whom He pleases without measure."
Sura Āl-ʿImrān 3:37 فَتَقَبَّلَهَا رَبُّهَا بِقَبُولٍ حَسَنٍ وَأَنۢبَتَهَا نَبَاتًا حَسَنًا وَكَفَّلَهَا زَكَرِيَّا كُلَّمَا دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا زَكَرِيَّا ٱلْمِحْرَابَ وَجَدَ عِندَهَا رِزْقًا قَالَ يَٰمَرْيَمُ أَنَّىٰ لَكِ هَٰذَا قَالَتْ هُوَ مِنْ عِندِ ٱللَّـهِ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ يَرْزُقُ مَن يَشَآءُ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ fa-taqabbalahā rabbuhā bi-qabūlin ḥasanin wa-anbatahā nabātan ḥasanan wa-kaffalahā zakariyyā kullamā dakhala ʿalayhā zakariyyā l-miḥrāba wajada ʿindahā rizqan qalā yā-maryamu annā laki hādhā qālat huwa min ʿindi allāhi inna allāha yarzuqu man yashāʾu bi-ghayri ḥisābin Right graciously did her Lord accept her: He made her grow in purity and beauty: To the care of Zakariya was she assigned. (3:97) | فِيهِ ءَايَٰتٌۢ بَيِّنَٰتٌ مَّقَامُ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَمَن دَخَلَهُۥ كَانَ ءَامِنًا وَلِلَّەِ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ حِجُّ ٱلْبَيْتِ مَنِ ٱسْتَطَاعَ إِلَيْهِ سَبِيلًا وَمَن كَفَرَ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ غَنِىٌّ عَنِ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ | fīhi āyātun bayyinātun maqāmu ibrāhīma wa‑man dakhalahu kāna āminan wa‑lillahi ʿalā l‑nāsi ḥijju l‑bayti mani staṭāʿa ilayhi sabīlan wa‑man kafara fa‑inna allāha ghaniyyun ʿani l‑ʿālamīna | In it are Signs Manifest; (for example), the Station of
Abraham; whoever enters it attains security; Pilgrimage thereto is a duty
men owe to Allah,- those who can afford the journey; but if any deny faith,
Allah stands not in need of any of His creatures.
Sura Āl-ʿImrān 3:97 فِيهِ ءَايَٰتٌۢ بَيِّنَٰتٌ مَّقَامُ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَمَن دَخَلَهُۥ كَانَ ءَامِنًا وَلِلَّەِ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ حِجُّ ٱلْبَيْتِ مَنِ ٱسْتَطَاعَ إِلَيْهِ سَبِيلًا وَمَن كَفَرَ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ غَنِىٌّ عَنِ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ fīhi āyātun bayyinātun maqāmu ibrāhīma wa-man dakhalahu kāna āminan wa-lillahi ʿalā l-nāsi ḥijju l-bayti mani staṭāʿa ilayhi sabīlan wa-man kafara fa-inna allāha ghaniyyun ʿani l-ʿālamīna In it are Signs Manifest; (for example), the Station of Abraham; whoever enters it attains security; Pilgrimage thereto is a duty men owe to Allah,- those who can afford the journey; but if any deny faith, Allah stands not in need of any of His creatures. |
(3:142) | أَمْ حَسِبْتُمْ أَن تَدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْجَنَّةَ وَلَمَّا يَعْلَمِ ٱللَّـهُ ٱلَّذِينَ جَٰهَدُوا۟ مِنكُمْ وَيَعْلَمَ ٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ | am ḥasibtum an tadkhulū l‑jannata wa‑lammā yaʿlami allāhu lladhīna jāhadū minkum wayaʿlama l‑ṣābirīna | Did ye think that ye would enter Heaven without Allah testing
those of you who fought hard (In His Cause) and remained steadfast?
Sura Āl-ʿImrān 3:142 أَمْ حَسِبْتُمْ أَن تَدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْجَنَّةَ وَلَمَّا يَعْلَمِ ٱللَّـهُ ٱلَّذِينَ جَٰهَدُوا۟ مِنكُمْ وَيَعْلَمَ ٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ am ḥasibtum an tadkhulū l-jannata wa-lammā yaʿlami allāhu lladhīna jāhadū minkum wayaʿlama l-ṣābirīna Did ye think that ye would enter Heaven without Allah testing those of you who fought hard (In His Cause) and remained steadfast? |
(3:185) | كُلُّ نَفْسٍ ذَآئِقَةُ ٱلْمَوْتِ وَإِنَّمَا تُوَفَّوْنَ أُجُورَكُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ فَمَن زُحْزِحَ عَنِ ٱلنَّارِ وَأُدْخِلَ ٱلْجَنَّةَ فَقَدْ فَازَ وَمَا ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنْيَآ إِلَّا مَتَٰعُ ٱلْغُرُورِ | kullu nafsin dhāʾiqtu l‑mawti wa‑innamā tuwaffawna ujūrakum yawma l‑qiyāmati fa‑man zuḥziḥa ʿani l‑nāri wa‑udkhila l‑jannata fa‑qad fāza wa‑mā l‑ḥayātu l‑dunyā illā matāʿu l‑ghurūri | Every soul shall have a taste of death: And only on the Day of
Judgment shall you be paid your full recompense. Only he who is saved far
from the Fire and admitted to the Garden will have attained the object (of
Life): For the life of this world is but goods and chattels of deception.
Sura Āl-ʿImrān 3:185 كُلُّ نَفْسٍ ذَآئِقَةُ ٱلْمَوْتِ وَإِنَّمَا تُوَفَّوْنَ أُجُورَكُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ فَمَن زُحْزِحَ عَنِ ٱلنَّارِ وَأُدْخِلَ ٱلْجَنَّةَ فَقَدْ فَازَ وَمَا ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنْيَآ إِلَّا مَتَٰعُ ٱلْغُرُورِ kullu nafsin dhāʾiqtu l-mawti wa-innamā tuwaffawna ujūrakum yawma l-qiyāmati fa-man zuḥziḥa ʿani l-nāri wa-udkhila l-jannata fa-qad fāza wa-mā l-ḥayātu l-dunyā illā matāʿu l-ghurūri Every soul shall have a taste of death: And only on the Day of Judgment shall you be paid your full recompense. Only he who is saved far from the Fire and admitted to the Garden will have attained the object (of Life): For the life of this world is but goods and chattels of deception. |
(3:192) | رَبَّنَآ إِنَّكَ مَن تُدْخِلِ ٱلنَّارَ فَقَدْ أَخْزَيْتَهُۥ وَمَا لِلظَّٰلِمِينَ مِنْ أَنصَارٍ | rabbanā innaka man tudkhili l‑nāra fa‑qad akhzaytahu wa‑mā lil‑ẓālimīna min anṣārin | "Our Lord! any whom Thou dost admit to the Fire, Truly Thou
coverest with shame, and never will wrong-doers Find any helpers!
Sura Āl-ʿImrān 3:192 رَبَّنَآ إِنَّكَ مَن تُدْخِلِ ٱلنَّارَ فَقَدْ أَخْزَيْتَهُۥ وَمَا لِلظَّٰلِمِينَ مِنْ أَنصَارٍ rabbanā innaka man tudkhili l-nāra fa-qad akhzaytahu wa-mā lil-ẓālimīna min anṣārin "Our Lord! any whom Thou dost admit to the Fire, Truly Thou coverest with shame, and never will wrong-doers Find any helpers! |
(3:195) | فَٱسْتَجَابَ لَهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ أَنِّى لَآ أُضِيعُ عَمَلَ عَٰمِلٍ مِّنكُم مِّن ذَكَرٍ أَوْ أُنثَىٰ بَعْضُكُم مِّنۢ بَعْضٍ فَٱلَّذِينَ هَاجَرُوا۟ وَأُخْرِجُوا۟ مِن دِيَٰرِهِمْ وَأُوذُوا۟ فِى سَبِيلِى وَقَٰتَلُوا۟ وَقُتِلُوا۟ لَأُكَفِّرَنَّ عَنْهُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمْ وَلَأُدْخِلَنَّهُمْ جَنَّٰتٍ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ ثَوَابًا مِّنْ عِندِ ٱللَّـهِ وَٱللَّـهُ عِندَهُۥ حُسْنُ ٱلثَّوَابِ | fa‑istajāba lahum rabbuhum annī lā uḍīʿu ʿamala ʿāmilin minkum min dhakarin aw unthā baʿḍukum min baʿḍin fa‑lladhīna hājarū wa‑ukhrijū min diyārihim wa‑ūdhū fī sabīlī wa‑qātalū wa‑qutilū la‑ukaffiranna ʿanhum sayyiʾātihim wa‑la‑udkhilannahum jannātin tajrī min taḥtihā l‑anhāru thawāban min ʿindi allāhi wallāhu ʿindahu ḥusnu l‑thawābi | And their Lord hath accepted of them, and answered them:
"Never will I suffer to be lost the work of any of you, be he male or
female: Ye are members, one of another: Those who have left their homes, or
been driven out therefrom, or suffered harm in My Cause, or fought or been
slain,- verily, I will blot out from them their iniquities, and admit them
into Gardens with rivers flowing beneath;- A reward from the presence of
Allah, and from His presence is the best of rewards."
Sura Āl-ʿImrān 3:195 فَٱسْتَجَابَ لَهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ أَنِّى لَآ أُضِيعُ عَمَلَ عَٰمِلٍ مِّنكُم مِّن ذَكَرٍ أَوْ أُنثَىٰ بَعْضُكُم مِّنۢ بَعْضٍ فَٱلَّذِينَ هَاجَرُوا۟ وَأُخْرِجُوا۟ مِن دِيَٰرِهِمْ وَأُوذُوا۟ فِى سَبِيلِى وَقَٰتَلُوا۟ وَقُتِلُوا۟ لَأُكَفِّرَنَّ عَنْهُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمْ وَلَأُدْخِلَنَّهُمْ جَنَّٰتٍ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ ثَوَابًا مِّنْ عِندِ ٱللَّـهِ وَٱللَّـهُ عِندَهُۥ حُسْنُ ٱلثَّوَابِ fa-istajāba lahum rabbuhum annī lā uḍīʿu ʿamala ʿāmilin minkum min dhakarin aw unthā baʿḍukum min baʿḍin fa-lladhīna hājarū wa-ukhrijū min diyārihim wa-ūdhū fī sabīlī wa-qātalū wa-qutilū la-ukaffiranna ʿanhum sayyiʾātihim wa-la-udkhilannahum jannātin tajrī min taḥtihā l-anhāru thawāban min ʿindi allāhi wallāhu ʿindahu ḥusnu l-thawābi And their Lord hath accepted of them, and answered them: "Never will I suffer to be lost the work of any of you, be he male or female: Ye are members, one of another: Those who have left their homes, or been driven out therefrom, or suffered harm in My Cause, or fought or been slain,- verily, I will blot out from them their iniquities, and admit them into Gardens with rivers flowing beneath;- A reward from the presence of Allah, and from His presence is the best of rewards." |
(4:13) | تِلْكَ حُدُودُ ٱللَّـهِ وَمَن يُطِعِ ٱللَّـهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ يُدْخِلْهُ جَنَّٰتٍ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا وَذَٰلِكَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْعَظِيمُ | tilka ḥudūdu allāhi wa‑man yuṭiʿi allāha wa‑rasūlahu yudkhilhu jannātin tajrī min taḥtihā l‑anhāru khālidīna fīhā wa‑dhālika l‑fawzu l‑ʿaẓīmu | Those are limits set by Allah: those who obey Allah and His
Messenger will be admitted to Gardens with rivers flowing beneath, to abide
therein (for ever) and that will be the supreme achievement.
Sura al-Nisāʾ 4:13 تِلْكَ حُدُودُ ٱللَّـهِ وَمَن يُطِعِ ٱللَّـهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ يُدْخِلْهُ جَنَّٰتٍ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا وَذَٰلِكَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْعَظِيمُ tilka ḥudūdu allāhi wa-man yuṭiʿi allāha wa-rasūlahu yudkhilhu jannātin tajrī min taḥtihā l-anhāru khālidīna fīhā wa-dhālika l-fawzu l-ʿaẓīmu Those are limits set by Allah: those who obey Allah and His Messenger will be admitted to Gardens with rivers flowing beneath, to abide therein (for ever) and that will be the supreme achievement. |
(4:14) | وَمَن يَعْصِ ٱللَّـهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ وَيَتَعَدَّ حُدُودَهُۥ يُدْخِلْهُ نَارًا خَٰلِدًا فِيهَا وَلَهُۥ عَذَابٌ مُّهِينٌ | wa‑man yaʿṣi allāha wa‑rasūlahu wa‑yataʿadda ḥudūdahu yudkhilhu nāran khālidan fīhā walahu ʿadhābun muhīnun | But those who disobey Allah and His Messenger and transgress His
limits will be admitted to a Fire, to abide therein: And they shall have a
humiliating punishment.
Sura al-Nisāʾ 4:14 وَمَن يَعْصِ ٱللَّـهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ وَيَتَعَدَّ حُدُودَهُۥ يُدْخِلْهُ نَارًا خَٰلِدًا فِيهَا وَلَهُۥ عَذَابٌ مُّهِينٌ wa-man yaʿṣi allāha wa-rasūlahu wa-yataʿadda ḥudūdahu yudkhilhu nāran khālidan fīhā walahu ʿadhābun muhīnun But those who disobey Allah and His Messenger and transgress His limits will be admitted to a Fire, to abide therein: And they shall have a humiliating punishment. |
(4:23) | حُرِّمَتْ عَلَيْكُمْ أُمَّهَٰتُكُمْ وَبَنَاتُكُمْ وَأَخَوَٰتُكُمْ وَعَمَّٰتُكُمْ وَخَٰلَٰتُكُمْ وَبَنَاتُ ٱلْأَخِ وَبَنَاتُ ٱلْأُخْتِ وَأُمَّهَٰتُكُمُ ٱلَّٰتِىٓ أَرْضَعْنَكُمْ وَأَخَوَٰتُكُم مِّنَ ٱلرَّضَٰعَةِ وَأُمَّهَٰتُ نِسَآئِكُمْ وَرَبَٰٓئِبُكُمُ ٱلَّٰتِى فِى حُجُورِكُم مِّن نِّسَآئِكُمُ ٱلَّٰتِى دَخَلْتُم بِهِنَّ فَإِن لَّمْ تَكُونُوا۟ دَخَلْتُم بِهِنَّ فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَحَلَٰٓئِلُ أَبْنَآئِكُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ مِنْ أَصْلَٰبِكُمْ وَأَن تَجْمَعُوا۟ بَيْنَ ٱلْأُخْتَيْنِ إِلَّا مَا قَدْ سَلَفَ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ كَانَ غَفُورًا رَّحِيمًا | ḥurrimat ʿalaykum ummahātukum wa‑banātukum wa‑akhawātukum wa‑ʿammātukum wa‑khālātukum wa‑banātu l‑akhi wa‑banātu l‑ukhti wa‑ummahātukumu allātī arḍaʿnakum wa‑akhawātukum mina l‑raḍāʿati wa‑ummahātu nasāʾikum wa‑rabāʾibukumu allātī fī ḥujūrikum min nisāʾikumu allātī dakhaltum bihinna fa‑in lam takūnū dakhaltum bihinna fa‑lā junāḥa ʿalaykum wa‑ḥalāʾilu abnāʾikumu lladhīna min aṣlābikum wa‑an tajmaʿū bayna l‑ukhtayni illā mā qad salafa inna allāha kāna ghafūran raḥīman | Prohibited to you (For marriage) are:- Your mothers,
daughters, sisters; father's sisters, Mother's sisters; brother's
daughters, sister's daughters; foster-mothers (Who gave you suck),
foster-sisters; your wives' mothers; your step-daughters under your
guardianship, born of your wives to whom ye have gone in,- no prohibition
if ye have not gone in;- (Those who have been) wives of your sons
proceeding from your loins; and two sisters in wedlock at one and the same
time, except for what is past; for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful;-
Sura al-Nisāʾ 4:23 حُرِّمَتْ عَلَيْكُمْ أُمَّهَٰتُكُمْ وَبَنَاتُكُمْ وَأَخَوَٰتُكُمْ وَعَمَّٰتُكُمْ وَخَٰلَٰتُكُمْ وَبَنَاتُ ٱلْأَخِ وَبَنَاتُ ٱلْأُخْتِ وَأُمَّهَٰتُكُمُ ٱلَّٰتِىٓ أَرْضَعْنَكُمْ وَأَخَوَٰتُكُم مِّنَ ٱلرَّضَٰعَةِ وَأُمَّهَٰتُ نِسَآئِكُمْ وَرَبَٰٓئِبُكُمُ ٱلَّٰتِى فِى حُجُورِكُم مِّن نِّسَآئِكُمُ ٱلَّٰتِى دَخَلْتُم بِهِنَّ فَإِن لَّمْ تَكُونُوا۟ دَخَلْتُم بِهِنَّ فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَحَلَٰٓئِلُ أَبْنَآئِكُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ مِنْ أَصْلَٰبِكُمْ وَأَن تَجْمَعُوا۟ بَيْنَ ٱلْأُخْتَيْنِ إِلَّا مَا قَدْ سَلَفَ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ كَانَ غَفُورًا رَّحِيمًا ḥurrimat ʿalaykum ummahātukum wa-banātukum wa-akhawātukum wa-ʿammātukum wa-khālātukum wa-banātu l-akhi wa-banātu l-ukhti wa-ummahātukumu allātī arḍaʿnakum wa-akhawātukum mina l-raḍāʿati wa-ummahātu nasāʾikum wa-rabāʾibukumu allātī fī ḥujūrikum min nisāʾikumu allātī dakhaltum bihinna fa-in lam takūnū dakhaltum bihinna fa-lā junāḥa ʿalaykum wa-ḥalāʾilu abnāʾikumu lladhīna min aṣlābikum wa-an tajmaʿū bayna l-ukhtayni illā mā qad salafa inna allāha kāna ghafūran raḥīman Prohibited to you (For marriage) are:- Your mothers, daughters, sisters; father's sisters, Mother's sisters; brother's daughters, sister's daughters; foster-mothers (Who gave you suck), foster-sisters; your wives' mothers; your step-daughters under your guardianship, born of your wives to whom ye have gone in,- no prohibition if ye have not gone in;- (Those who have been) wives of your sons proceeding from your loins; and two sisters in wedlock at one and the same time, except for what is past; for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful;- |
(4:31) | إِن تَجْتَنِبُوا۟ كَبَآئِرَ مَا تُنْهَوْنَ عَنْهُ نُكَفِّرْ عَنكُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتِكُمْ وَنُدْخِلْكُم مُّدْخَلًا كَرِيمًا | in tajtanibū kabāʾira mā tunhawna ʿanhu nukaffir ʿankum sayyiʾātikum wa‑nudkhilkum mudkhalan karīman | If ye (but) eschew the most heinous of the things which ye are
forbidden to do, We shall expel out of you all the evil in you, and admit
you to a gate of great honour.
Sura al-Nisāʾ 4:31 إِن تَجْتَنِبُوا۟ كَبَآئِرَ مَا تُنْهَوْنَ عَنْهُ نُكَفِّرْ عَنكُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتِكُمْ وَنُدْخِلْكُم مُّدْخَلًا كَرِيمًا in tajtanibū kabāʾira mā tunhawna ʿanhu nukaffir ʿankum sayyiʾātikum wa-nudkhilkum mudkhalan karīman If ye (but) eschew the most heinous of the things which ye are forbidden to do, We shall expel out of you all the evil in you, and admit you to a gate of great honour. |
(4:57) | وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ سَنُدْخِلُهُمْ جَنَّٰتٍ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ أَبَدًا لَّهُمْ فِيهَآ أَزْوَٰجٌ مُّطَهَّرَةٌ وَنُدْخِلُهُمْ ظِلًّا ظَلِيلًا | wa‑lladhīna āmanū wa‑ʿamilū l‑ṣāliḥāti sa‑nudkhiluhum jannātin tajrī min taḥtihā l‑anhāru khālidīna fīhā abadan lahum fīhā azwājun muṭahharatun wa‑nudkhiluhum ẓillan ẓalīlan | But those who believe and do deeds of righteousness, We shall
soon admit to Gardens, with rivers flowing beneath,- their eternal home:
Therein shall they have companions pure and holy: We shall admit them to
shades, cool and ever deepening.
Sura al-Nisāʾ 4:57 وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ سَنُدْخِلُهُمْ جَنَّٰتٍ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ أَبَدًا لَّهُمْ فِيهَآ أَزْوَٰجٌ مُّطَهَّرَةٌ وَنُدْخِلُهُمْ ظِلًّا ظَلِيلًا wa-lladhīna āmanū wa-ʿamilū l-ṣāliḥāti sa-nudkhiluhum jannātin tajrī min taḥtihā l-anhāru khālidīna fīhā abadan lahum fīhā azwājun muṭahharatun wa-nudkhiluhum ẓillan ẓalīlan But those who believe and do deeds of righteousness, We shall soon admit to Gardens, with rivers flowing beneath,- their eternal home: Therein shall they have companions pure and holy: We shall admit them to shades, cool and ever deepening. |
(4:122) | وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ سَنُدْخِلُهُمْ جَنَّٰتٍ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ أَبَدًا وَعْدَ ٱللَّـهِ حَقًّا وَمَنْ أَصْدَقُ مِنَ ٱللَّـهِ قِيلًا | wa‑lladhīna āmanū wa‑ʿamilū l‑ṣāliḥāti sa‑nudkhiluhum jannātin tajrī min taḥtihā l‑anhāru khālidīna fīhā abadan waʿda allāhi ḥaqqan wa‑man aṣdaqu mina allāhi qīlan | But those who believe and do deeds of righteousness,- we shall
soon admit them to gardens, with rivers flowing beneath,-to dwell therein
for ever. Allah's promise is the truth, and whose word can be truer than
Allah's?

Allah's promise is the truth, and whose word can be truer than Allah's? |
(4:124) | وَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ مِن ذَكَرٍ أَوْ أُنثَىٰ وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ يَدْخُلُونَ ٱلْجَنَّةَ وَلَا يُظْلَمُونَ نَقِيرًا | wa‑man yaʿmal mina l‑ṣāliḥāti min dhakarin aw unthā wa‑huwa muʾminun fa‑ūlāʾika yadkhulūna l‑jannata wa‑lā yuẓlamūna naqīran | If any do deeds of righteousness,- be they male or female -
and have faith, they will enter Heaven, and not the least injustice will be
done to them.
Sura al-Nisāʾ 4:124 وَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ مِن ذَكَرٍ أَوْ أُنثَىٰ وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ يَدْخُلُونَ ٱلْجَنَّةَ وَلَا يُظْلَمُونَ نَقِيرًا wa-man yaʿmal mina l-ṣāliḥāti min dhakarin aw unthā wa-huwa muʾminun fa-ūlāʾika yadkhulūna l-jannata wa-lā yuẓlamūna naqīran If any do deeds of righteousness,- be they male or female - and have faith, they will enter Heaven, and not the least injustice will be done to them. |
(4:154) | وَرَفَعْنَا فَوْقَهُمُ ٱلطُّورَ بِمِيثَٰقِهِمْ وَقُلْنَا لَهُمُ ٱدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْبَابَ سُجَّدًا وَقُلْنَا لَهُمْ لَا تَعْدُوا۟ فِى ٱلسَّبْتِ وَأَخَذْنَا مِنْهُم مِّيثَٰقًا غَلِيظًا | wa‑rafaʿnā fawqahumu l‑ṭūra bi‑mīthāqihim wa‑qulnā lahumu idkhulū l‑bāba sujjadan wa‑qulnā lahum lā taʿdū fī l‑sabti wa‑akhadhnā minhum mīthāqan ghalīẓan | And for their covenant we raised over them (the towering
height) of Mount (Sinai); and (on another occasion) we said: "Enter the
gate with humility"; and (once again) we commanded them: "Transgress not in
the matter of the sabbath." And we took from them a solemn covenant.
Sura al-Nisāʾ 4:154 وَرَفَعْنَا فَوْقَهُمُ ٱلطُّورَ بِمِيثَٰقِهِمْ وَقُلْنَا لَهُمُ ٱدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْبَابَ سُجَّدًا وَقُلْنَا لَهُمْ لَا تَعْدُوا۟ فِى ٱلسَّبْتِ وَأَخَذْنَا مِنْهُم مِّيثَٰقًا غَلِيظًا wa-rafaʿnā fawqahumu l-ṭūra bi-mīthāqihim wa-qulnā lahumu idkhulū l-bāba sujjadan wa-qulnā lahum lā taʿdū fī l-sabti wa-akhadhnā minhum mīthāqan ghalīẓan And for their covenant we raised over them (the towering height) of Mount (Sinai); and (on another occasion) we said: "Enter the gate with humility"; and (once again) we commanded them: "Transgress not in the matter of the sabbath." And we took from them a solemn covenant. |
(4:175) | فَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ بِٱللَّـهِ وَٱعْتَصَمُوا۟ بِهِۦ فَسَيُدْخِلُهُمْ فِى رَحْمَةٍ مِّنْهُ وَفَضْلٍ وَيَهْدِيهِمْ إِلَيْهِ صِرَٰطًا مُّسْتَقِيمًا | fa‑ammā lladhīna āmanū billāhi wa‑aʿtaṣamū bihi fa‑sa‑yudkhiluhum fī raḥmatin minhu wa‑faḍlin wa‑yahdīhim ilayhi ṣirāṭan mustaqīman | Then those who believe in Allah, and hold fast to Him,- soon
will He admit them to mercy and grace from Himself, and guide them to
Himself by a straight way.
Sura al-Nisāʾ 4:175 فَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ بِٱللَّـهِ وَٱعْتَصَمُوا۟ بِهِۦ فَسَيُدْخِلُهُمْ فِى رَحْمَةٍ مِّنْهُ وَفَضْلٍ وَيَهْدِيهِمْ إِلَيْهِ صِرَٰطًا مُّسْتَقِيمًا fa-ammā lladhīna āmanū billāhi wa-aʿtaṣamū bihi fa-sa-yudkhiluhum fī raḥmatin minhu wa-faḍlin wa-yahdīhim ilayhi ṣirāṭan mustaqīman Then those who believe in Allah, and hold fast to Him,- soon will He admit them to mercy and grace from Himself, and guide them to Himself by a straight way. |
(5:12) | وَلَقَدْ أَخَذَ ٱللَّـهُ مِيثَٰقَ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ وَبَعَثْنَا مِنْهُمُ ٱثْنَىْ عَشَرَ نَقِيبًا وَقَالَ ٱللَّـهُ إِنِّى مَعَكُمْ لَئِنْ أَقَمْتُمُ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتَيْتُمُ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَءَامَنتُم بِرُسُلِى وَعَزَّرْتُمُوهُمْ وَأَقْرَضْتُمُ ٱللَّـهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًا لَّأُكَفِّرَنَّ عَنكُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتِكُمْ وَلَأُدْخِلَنَّكُمْ جَنَّٰتٍ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ فَمَن كَفَرَ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ مِنكُمْ فَقَدْ ضَلَّ سَوَآءَ ٱلسَّبِيلِ | wa‑la‑qad akhadha allāhu mīthāqa banī isrāʾīla wa‑baʿathnā minhumu ithnā ʿashara naqīban wa‑qāla allāhu innī maʿakum lain aqamtumu l‑ṣalāta wa‑ātaytumu l‑zakāta wa‑āmantum birusulī wa‑ʿazzartumūhum wa‑aqraḍtumu allāha qarḍan ḥasanan llaukaffiranna ʿankum sayyiʾātikum wa‑la‑udkhilannakum jannātin tajrī min taḥtihā l‑anhāru fa‑man kafara baʿda dhālika minkum fa‑qad ḍalla sawāʾa l‑sabīli | Allah did aforetime take a covenant from the Children of Israel,
and we appointed twelve captains among them. And Allah said: "I am with you:
if ye (but) establish regular prayers, practise regular charity, believe in
my messengers, honour and assist them, and loan to Allah a beautiful loan,
verily I will wipe out from you your evils, and admit you to gardens with
rivers flowing beneath; but if any of you, after this, resisteth faith, he
hath truly wandered from the path or rectitude."
Sura al-Māʾidah 5:12 وَلَقَدْ أَخَذَ ٱللَّـهُ مِيثَٰقَ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ وَبَعَثْنَا مِنْهُمُ ٱثْنَىْ عَشَرَ نَقِيبًا وَقَالَ ٱللَّـهُ إِنِّى مَعَكُمْ لَئِنْ أَقَمْتُمُ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتَيْتُمُ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَءَامَنتُم بِرُسُلِى وَعَزَّرْتُمُوهُمْ وَأَقْرَضْتُمُ ٱللَّـهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًا لَّأُكَفِّرَنَّ عَنكُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتِكُمْ وَلَأُدْخِلَنَّكُمْ جَنَّٰتٍ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ فَمَن كَفَرَ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ مِنكُمْ فَقَدْ ضَلَّ سَوَآءَ ٱلسَّبِيلِ wa-la-qad akhadha allāhu mīthāqa banī isrāʾīla wa-baʿathnā minhumu ithnā ʿashara naqīban wa-qāla allāhu innī maʿakum lain aqamtumu l-ṣalāta wa-ātaytumu l-zakāta wa-āmantum birusulī wa-ʿazzartumūhum wa-aqraḍtumu allāha qarḍan ḥasanan llaukaffiranna ʿankum sayyiʾātikum wa-la-udkhilannakum jannātin tajrī min taḥtihā l-anhāru fa-man kafara baʿda dhālika minkum fa-qad ḍalla sawāʾa l-sabīli Allah did aforetime take a covenant from the Children of Israel, and we appointed twelve captains among them. (5:21) | يَٰقَوْمِ ٱدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْأَرْضَ ٱلْمُقَدَّسَةَ ٱلَّتِى كَتَبَ ٱللَّـهُ لَكُمْ وَلَا تَرْتَدُّوا۟ عَلَىٰٓ أَدْبَارِكُمْ فَتَنقَلِبُوا۟ خَٰسِرِينَ | yā‑qawmi idkhulū l‑arḍa l‑muqaddasata allatī kataba allāhu la‑kum wa‑lā tartaddū ʿala adbārikum fa‑tanqalibū khāsirīna | "O my people! Enter the holy land which Allah hath assigned unto
you, and turn not back ignominiously, for then will ye be overthrown, to
your own ruin."
Sura al-Māʾidah 5:21 يَٰقَوْمِ ٱدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْأَرْضَ ٱلْمُقَدَّسَةَ ٱلَّتِى كَتَبَ ٱللَّـهُ لَكُمْ وَلَا تَرْتَدُّوا۟ عَلَىٰٓ أَدْبَارِكُمْ فَتَنقَلِبُوا۟ خَٰسِرِينَ yā-qawmi idkhulū l-arḍa l-muqaddasata allatī kataba allāhu la-kum wa-lā tartaddū ʿala adbārikum fa-tanqalibū khāsirīna "O my people! Enter the holy land which Allah hath assigned unto you, and turn not back ignominiously, for then will ye be overthrown, to your own ruin." |
(5:22) | قَالُوا۟ يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ إِنَّ فِيهَا قَوْمًا جَبَّارِينَ وَإِنَّا لَن نَّدْخُلَهَا حَتَّىٰ يَخْرُجُوا۟ مِنْهَا فَإِن يَخْرُجُوا۟ مِنْهَا فَإِنَّا دَٰخِلُونَ | qālū yā‑mūsā inna fīhā qawman jabbārīna wa‑innā lan nadkhulahā ḥattā yakhrujū minhā fa‑in yakhrujū minhā fa‑innā dākhilūna | They said: "O Moses! In this land are a people of exceeding
strength: Never shall we enter it until they leave it: if (once) they
leave, then shall we enter."
Sura al-Māʾidah 5:22 قَالُوا۟ يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ إِنَّ فِيهَا قَوْمًا جَبَّارِينَ وَإِنَّا لَن نَّدْخُلَهَا حَتَّىٰ يَخْرُجُوا۟ مِنْهَا فَإِن يَخْرُجُوا۟ مِنْهَا فَإِنَّا دَٰخِلُونَ qālū yā-mūsā inna fīhā qawman jabbārīna wa-innā lan nadkhulahā ḥattā yakhrujū minhā fa-in yakhrujū minhā fa-innā dākhilūna They said: "O Moses! In this land are a people of exceeding strength: Never shall we enter it until they leave it: if (once) they leave, then shall we enter." |
(5:23) | قَالَ رَجُلَانِ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ أَنْعَمَ ٱللَّـهُ عَلَيْهِمَا ٱدْخُلُوا۟ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْبَابَ فَإِذَا دَخَلْتُمُوهُ فَإِنَّكُمْ غَٰلِبُونَ وَعَلَى ٱللَّـهِ فَتَوَكَّلُوٓا۟ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ | qalā rajulāni mina lladhīna yakhāfūna anʿama allāhu ʿalayhimā idkhulū ʿalayhimu l‑bāba fa‑idhā dakhaltumūhu fainnakum ghālibūna wa‑ʿalā allāhi fatawakkalū in kuntum muʾminīna | (But) among (their) Allah-fearing men were two on whom Allah had
bestowed His grace: They said: "Assault them at the (proper) Gate: when
once ye are in, victory will be yours; But on Allah put your trust if ye have
faith."
Sura al-Māʾidah 5:23 قَالَ رَجُلَانِ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ أَنْعَمَ ٱللَّـهُ عَلَيْهِمَا ٱدْخُلُوا۟ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْبَابَ فَإِذَا دَخَلْتُمُوهُ فَإِنَّكُمْ غَٰلِبُونَ وَعَلَى ٱللَّـهِ فَتَوَكَّلُوٓا۟ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ qalā rajulāni mina lladhīna yakhāfūna anʿama allāhu ʿalayhimā idkhulū ʿalayhimu l-bāba fa-idhā dakhaltumūhu fainnakum ghālibūna wa-ʿalā allāhi fatawakkalū in kuntum muʾminīna (But) among (their) Allah-fearing men were two on whom Allah had bestowed His grace: They said: "Assault them at the (proper) Gate: when once ye are in, victory will be yours; But on Allah put your trust if ye have faith." |
(5:24) | قَالُوا۟ يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ إِنَّا لَن نَّدْخُلَهَآ أَبَدًا مَّا دَامُوا۟ فِيهَا فَٱذْهَبْ أَنتَ وَرَبُّكَ فَقَٰتِلَآ إِنَّا هَٰهُنَا قَٰعِدُونَ | qālū yā‑mūsā innā lan nnadkhulahā abadan mā dāmū fīhā fadhhab anta wa‑rabbuka fa‑qātilā innā hāhunā qāʿidūna | They said: "O Moses! while they remain there, never shall we
be able to enter, to the end of time. Go thou, and thy Lord, and fight ye
two, while we sit here (and watch)."
Sura al-Māʾidah 5:24 قَالُوا۟ يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ إِنَّا لَن نَّدْخُلَهَآ أَبَدًا مَّا دَامُوا۟ فِيهَا فَٱذْهَبْ أَنتَ وَرَبُّكَ فَقَٰتِلَآ إِنَّا هَٰهُنَا قَٰعِدُونَ qālū yā-mūsā innā lan nnadkhulahā abadan mā dāmū fīhā fadhhab anta wa-rabbuka fa-qātilā innā hāhunā qāʿidūna They said: "O Moses! while they remain there, never shall we be able to enter, to the end of time. Go thou, and thy Lord, and fight ye two, while we sit here (and watch)." |
(5:61) | وَإِذَا جَآءُوكُمْ قَالُوٓا۟ ءَامَنَّا وَقَد دَّخَلُوا۟ بِٱلْكُفْرِ وَهُمْ قَدْ خَرَجُوا۟ بِهِۦ وَٱللَّـهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْتُمُونَ | wa‑idhā jāʾūkum qālū āmannā waqad dakhalū bil‑kufri wa‑hum qad kharajū bihi wallāhu aʿlamu bi‑mā kānū yaktumūna | When they come to thee, they say: "We believe": but in fact
they enter with a mind against Faith, and they go out with the same but Allah
knoweth fully all that they hide.
Sura al-Māʾidah 5:61 وَإِذَا جَآءُوكُمْ قَالُوٓا۟ ءَامَنَّا وَقَد دَّخَلُوا۟ بِٱلْكُفْرِ وَهُمْ قَدْ خَرَجُوا۟ بِهِۦ وَٱللَّـهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْتُمُونَ wa-idhā jāʾūkum qālū āmannā waqad dakhalū bil-kufri wa-hum qad kharajū bihi wallāhu aʿlamu bi-mā kānū yaktumūna When they come to thee, they say: "We believe": but in fact they enter with a mind against Faith, and they go out with the same but Allah knoweth fully all that they hide. |
(5:65) | وَلَوْ أَنَّ أَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَٱتَّقَوْا۟ لَكَفَّرْنَا عَنْهُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمْ وَلَأَدْخَلْنَٰهُمْ جَنَّٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ | wa‑law annā ahla l‑kitābi āmanū wa‑ittaqaw la‑kaffarnā ʿanhum sayyiʾātihim wa‑la‑adkhalnāhum jannāti l‑naʿīmi | If only the People of the Book had believed and been
righteous, We should indeed have blotted out their iniquities and admitted
them to gardens of bliss.
Sura al-Māʾidah 5:65 وَلَوْ أَنَّ أَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَٱتَّقَوْا۟ لَكَفَّرْنَا عَنْهُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمْ وَلَأَدْخَلْنَٰهُمْ جَنَّٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ wa-law annā ahla l-kitābi āmanū wa-ittaqaw la-kaffarnā ʿanhum sayyiʾātihim wa-la-adkhalnāhum jannāti l-naʿīmi If only the People of the Book had believed and been righteous, We should indeed have blotted out their iniquities and admitted them to gardens of bliss. |
(5:84) | وَمَا لَنَا لَا نُؤْمِنُ بِٱللَّـهِ وَمَا جَآءَنَا مِنَ ٱلْحَقِّ وَنَطْمَعُ أَن يُدْخِلَنَا رَبُّنَا مَعَ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ | wa‑mā la‑nā lā nuʾminu billāhi wa‑mā jāʾanā mina l‑ḥaqqi wanaṭmaʿu an yudkhilanā rabbunā maʿa l‑qawmi l‑ṣāliḥīna | "What cause can we have not to believe in Allah and the truth
which has come to us, seeing that we long for our Lord to admit us to the
company of the righteous?"
Sura al-Māʾidah 5:84 وَمَا لَنَا لَا نُؤْمِنُ بِٱللَّـهِ وَمَا جَآءَنَا مِنَ ٱلْحَقِّ وَنَطْمَعُ أَن يُدْخِلَنَا رَبُّنَا مَعَ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ wa-mā la-nā lā nuʾminu billāhi wa-mā jāʾanā mina l-ḥaqqi wanaṭmaʿu an yudkhilanā rabbunā maʿa l-qawmi l-ṣāliḥīna "What cause can we have not to believe in Allah and the truth which has come to us, seeing that we long for our Lord to admit us to the company of the righteous?" |
(7:38) | قَالَ ٱدْخُلُوا۟ فِىٓ أُمَمٍ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِكُم مِّنَ ٱلْجِنِّ وَٱلْإِنسِ فِى ٱلنَّارِ كُلَّمَا دَخَلَتْ أُمَّةٌ لَّعَنَتْ أُخْتَهَا حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا ٱدَّارَكُوا۟ فِيهَا جَمِيعًا قَالَتْ أُخْرَىٰهُمْ لِأُولَىٰهُمْ رَبَّنَا هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ أَضَلُّونَا فَـَٔاتِهِمْ عَذَابًا ضِعْفًا مِّنَ ٱلنَّارِ قَالَ لِكُلٍّ ضِعْفٌ وَلَٰكِن لَّا تَعْلَمُونَ | qalā idkhulū fī umamin qad khalat min qablikum mina l‑jinni wa‑l‑insi fī l‑nāri kullamā dakhalat ummatun llaʿanat ukhtahā ḥatta idhā addārakū fīhā jamīʿan qālat ukhrahum li‑ūlāhum rabbanā hāʾulāʾi aḍallūnā fa‑ātihim ʿadhāban ḍiʿfan mina l‑nāri qalā li‑kullin ḍiʿfun wa‑lākin lā taʿlamūna | He will say: "Enter ye in the company of the peoples who
passed away before you - men and jinns, - into the Fire." Every time a new
people enters, it curses its sister-people (that went before), until they
follow each other, all into the Fire. Saith the last about the first: "Our
Lord! it is these that misled us: so give them a double penalty in the
Fire." He will say: "Doubled for all" : but this ye do not understand.
Sura al-Aʿrāf 7:38 قَالَ ٱدْخُلُوا۟ فِىٓ أُمَمٍ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِكُم مِّنَ ٱلْجِنِّ وَٱلْإِنسِ فِى ٱلنَّارِ كُلَّمَا دَخَلَتْ أُمَّةٌ لَّعَنَتْ أُخْتَهَا حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا ٱدَّارَكُوا۟ فِيهَا جَمِيعًا قَالَتْ أُخْرَىٰهُمْ لِأُولَىٰهُمْ رَبَّنَا هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ أَضَلُّونَا فَـَٔاتِهِمْ عَذَابًا ضِعْفًا مِّنَ ٱلنَّارِ قَالَ لِكُلٍّ ضِعْفٌ وَلَٰكِن لَّا تَعْلَمُونَ qalā idkhulū fī umamin qad khalat min qablikum mina l-jinni wa-l-insi fī l-nāri kullamā dakhalat ummatun llaʿanat ukhtahā ḥatta idhā addārakū fīhā jamīʿan qālat ukhrahum li-ūlāhum rabbanā hāʾulāʾi aḍallūnā fa-ātihim ʿadhāban ḍiʿfan mina l-nāri qalā li-kullin ḍiʿfun wa-lākin lā taʿlamūna He will say: "Enter ye in the company of the peoples who passed away before you - men and jinns, - into the Fire." (7:40) | إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا وَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ عَنْهَا لَا تُفَتَّحُ لَهُمْ أَبْوَٰبُ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَلَا يَدْخُلُونَ ٱلْجَنَّةَ حَتَّىٰ يَلِجَ ٱلْجَمَلُ فِى سَمِّ ٱلْخِيَاطِ وَكَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ | inna lladhīna kadhdhabū bi‑āyātinā wa‑istakbarū ʿanhā lā tufattaḥu lahum abwābu l‑samāʾi wa‑lā yadkhulūna l‑jannata ḥattā yalija l‑jamalu fī sammi l‑khiyāṭi wa‑ka‑dhālika najzī l‑mujrimīna | To those who reject Our signs and treat them with arrogance,
no opening will there be of the gates of heaven, nor will they enter the
garden, until the camel can pass through the eye of the needle: Such is Our
reward for those in sin.
Sura al-Aʿrāf 7:40 إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا وَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ عَنْهَا لَا تُفَتَّحُ لَهُمْ أَبْوَٰبُ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَلَا يَدْخُلُونَ ٱلْجَنَّةَ حَتَّىٰ يَلِجَ ٱلْجَمَلُ فِى سَمِّ ٱلْخِيَاطِ وَكَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ inna lladhīna kadhdhabū bi-āyātinā wa-istakbarū ʿanhā lā tufattaḥu lahum abwābu l-samāʾi wa-lā yadkhulūna l-jannata ḥattā yalija l-jamalu fī sammi l-khiyāṭi wa-ka-dhālika najzī l-mujrimīna To those who reject Our signs and treat them with arrogance, no opening will there be of the gates of heaven, nor will they enter the garden, until the camel can pass through the eye of the needle: Such is Our reward for those in sin. |
(7:46) | وَبَيْنَهُمَا حِجَابٌ وَعَلَى ٱلْأَعْرَافِ رِجَالٌ يَعْرِفُونَ كُلًّۢا بِسِيمَىٰهُمْ وَنَادَوْا۟ أَصْحَٰبَ ٱلْجَنَّةِ أَن سَلَٰمٌ عَلَيْكُمْ لَمْ يَدْخُلُوهَا وَهُمْ يَطْمَعُونَ | wa‑baynahumā ḥijābun wa‑ʿala l‑aʿrāfi rijālun yaʿrifūna kullan bi‑sīmāhum wa‑nādaw aṣḥāba l‑jannati an salāmun ʿalaykum lam yadkhulūhā wa‑hum yaṭmaʿūna | Between them shall be a veil, and on the heights will be men
who would know every one by his marks: they will call out to the Companions
of the Garden, "peace on you": they will not have entered, but they will
have an assurance (thereof).
Sura al-Aʿrāf 7:46 وَبَيْنَهُمَا حِجَابٌ وَعَلَى ٱلْأَعْرَافِ رِجَالٌ يَعْرِفُونَ كُلًّۢا بِسِيمَىٰهُمْ وَنَادَوْا۟ أَصْحَٰبَ ٱلْجَنَّةِ أَن سَلَٰمٌ عَلَيْكُمْ لَمْ يَدْخُلُوهَا وَهُمْ يَطْمَعُونَ wa-baynahumā ḥijābun wa-ʿala l-aʿrāfi rijālun yaʿrifūna kullan bi-sīmāhum wa-nādaw aṣḥāba l-jannati an salāmun ʿalaykum lam yadkhulūhā wa-hum yaṭmaʿūna Between them shall be a veil, and on the heights will be men who would know every one by his marks: they will call out to the Companions of the Garden, "peace on you": they will not have entered, but they will have an assurance (thereof). |
(7:49) | أَهَٰٓؤُلَآءِ ٱلَّذِينَ أَقْسَمْتُمْ لَا يَنَالُهُمُ ٱللَّـهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ ٱدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْجَنَّةَ لَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْكُمْ وَلَآ أَنتُمْ تَحْزَنُونَ | a‑hāʾulāʾi lladhīna aqsamtum lā yanāluhumu allāhu bi‑raḥmaṭin idkhulū l‑jannata lā khawfun ʿalaykum wa‑lā antum taḥzanūna | "Behold! are these not the men whom you swore that Allah with
His Mercy would never bless? Enter ye the Garden: no fear shall be on you,
nor shall ye grieve."
Sura al-Aʿrāf 7:49 أَهَٰٓؤُلَآءِ ٱلَّذِينَ أَقْسَمْتُمْ لَا يَنَالُهُمُ ٱللَّـهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ ٱدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْجَنَّةَ لَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْكُمْ وَلَآ أَنتُمْ تَحْزَنُونَ a-hāʾulāʾi lladhīna aqsamtum lā yanāluhumu allāhu bi-raḥmaṭin idkhulū l-jannata lā khawfun ʿalaykum wa-lā antum taḥzanūna "Behold! are these not the men whom you swore that Allah with His Mercy would never bless? Enter ye the Garden: no fear shall be on you, nor shall ye grieve." |
(7:151) | قَالَ رَبِّ ٱغْفِرْ لِى وَلِأَخِى وَأَدْخِلْنَا فِى رَحْمَتِكَ وَأَنتَ أَرْحَمُ ٱلرَّٰحِمِينَ | qalā rabbi aghfir lī wa‑li‑akhī wa‑adkhilnā fī raḥmatika waanta arḥamu l‑rāḥimīna | Moses prayed: "O my Lord! forgive me and my brother! admit us
to Thy mercy! for Thou art the Most Merciful of those who show mercy!"
Sura al-Aʿrāf 7:151 قَالَ رَبِّ ٱغْفِرْ لِى وَلِأَخِى وَأَدْخِلْنَا فِى رَحْمَتِكَ وَأَنتَ أَرْحَمُ ٱلرَّٰحِمِينَ qalā rabbi aghfir lī wa-li-akhī wa-adkhilnā fī raḥmatika waanta arḥamu l-rāḥimīna Moses prayed: "O my Lord! forgive me and my brother! admit us to Thy mercy! for Thou art the Most Merciful of those who show mercy!" |
(7:161) | وَإِذْ قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱسْكُنُوا۟ هَٰذِهِ ٱلْقَرْيَةَ وَكُلُوا۟ مِنْهَا حَيْثُ شِئْتُمْ وَقُولُوا۟ حِطَّةٌ وَٱدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْبَابَ سُجَّدًا نَّغْفِرْ لَكُمْ خَطِيٓـَٰٔتِكُمْ سَنَزِيدُ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ | wa‑idh qīla lahumu iskunū hādhihi l‑qaryata wa‑kulū minhā ḥaythu shiʾtum wa‑qūlū ḥiṭṭaṭun wa‑adkhulū l‑bāba sujjadan naghfir la‑kum khaṭīʾātikum sa‑nazīdu l‑muḥsinīna | And remember it was said to them: "Dwell in this town and eat
therein as ye wish, but say the word of humility and enter the gate in a
posture of humility: We shall forgive you your faults; We shall increase
(the portion of) those who do good."
Sura al-Aʿrāf 7:161 وَإِذْ قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱسْكُنُوا۟ هَٰذِهِ ٱلْقَرْيَةَ وَكُلُوا۟ مِنْهَا حَيْثُ شِئْتُمْ وَقُولُوا۟ حِطَّةٌ وَٱدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْبَابَ سُجَّدًا نَّغْفِرْ لَكُمْ خَطِيٓـَٰٔتِكُمْ سَنَزِيدُ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ wa-idh qīla lahumu iskunū hādhihi l-qaryata wa-kulū minhā ḥaythu shiʾtum wa-qūlū ḥiṭṭaṭun wa-adkhulū l-bāba sujjadan naghfir la-kum khaṭīʾātikum sa-nazīdu l-muḥsinīna And remember it was said to them: "Dwell in this town and eat therein as ye wish, but say the word of humility and enter the gate in a posture of humility: We shall forgive you your faults; We shall increase (the portion of) those who do good." |
(9:99) | وَمِنَ ٱلْأَعْرَابِ مَن يُؤْمِنُ بِٱللَّـهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْأَخِرِ وَيَتَّخِذُ مَا يُنفِقُ قُرُبَٰتٍ عِندَ ٱللَّـهِ وَصَلَوَٰتِ ٱلرَّسُولِ أَلَآ إِنَّهَا قُرْبَةٌ لَّهُمْ سَيُدْخِلُهُمُ ٱللَّـهُ فِى رَحْمَتِهِۦٓ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ | wa‑mina l‑aʿrābi man yuʾminū billāhi wa‑l‑yawmi l‑akhiri wa‑yattakhidhu mā yunfiqu qurubātin ʿinda allāhi wa‑ṣalawāti l‑rasūli āla innahā qurbatun lahum sa‑yudkhiluhumu allāhu fī raḥmatihi inna allāha ghafūrun raḥīmun | But some of the desert Arabs believe in Allah and the Last Day,
and look on their payments as pious gifts bringing them nearer to Allah and
obtaining the prayers of the Messenger. Aye, indeed they bring them nearer
(to Him): soon will Allah admit them to His Mercy: for Allah is Oft-forgiving,
Most Merciful.
Sura al-Tawbah 9:99 وَمِنَ ٱلْأَعْرَابِ مَن يُؤْمِنُ بِٱللَّـهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْأَخِرِ وَيَتَّخِذُ مَا يُنفِقُ قُرُبَٰتٍ عِندَ ٱللَّـهِ وَصَلَوَٰتِ ٱلرَّسُولِ أَلَآ إِنَّهَا قُرْبَةٌ لَّهُمْ سَيُدْخِلُهُمُ ٱللَّـهُ فِى رَحْمَتِهِۦٓ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ wa-mina l-aʿrābi man yuʾminū billāhi wa-l-yawmi l-akhiri wa-yattakhidhu mā yunfiqu qurubātin ʿinda allāhi wa-ṣalawāti l-rasūli āla innahā qurbatun lahum sa-yudkhiluhumu allāhu fī raḥmatihi inna allāha ghafūrun raḥīmun But some of the desert Arabs believe in Allah and the Last Day, and look on their payments as pious gifts bringing them nearer to Allah and obtaining the prayers of the Messenger. Aye, indeed they bring them nearer (to Him): soon will Allah admit them to His Mercy: for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful. |
(12:36) | وَدَخَلَ مَعَهُ ٱلسِّجْنَ فَتَيَانِ قَالَ أَحَدُهُمَآ إِنِّىٓ أَرَىٰنِىٓ أَعْصِرُ خَمْرًا وَقَالَ ٱلْأَخَرُ إِنِّىٓ أَرَىٰنِىٓ أَحْمِلُ فَوْقَ رَأْسِى خُبْزًا تَأْكُلُ ٱلطَّيْرُ مِنْهُ نَبِّئْنَا بِتَأْوِيلِهِۦٓ إِنَّا نَرَىٰكَ مِنَ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ | wa‑dakhala maʿahu l‑sijna fatayāni qalā aḥaduhumā innī aranī aʿṣiru khamran wa‑qāla l‑akharu innī aranī aḥmilu fawqa rasī khubzan taʾkulu l‑ṭayru minhu nabbinā bi‑taʾwīlihi innā naraka mina l‑muḥsinīna | Now with him there came into the prison two young men. Said
one of them: "I see myself (in a dream) pressing wine." said the other: "I
see myself (in a dream) carrying bread on my head, and birds are eating,
thereof." "Tell us" (they said) "The truth and meaning thereof: for we see
thou art one that doth good (to all)."
Sura Yūsuf 12:36 وَدَخَلَ مَعَهُ ٱلسِّجْنَ فَتَيَانِ قَالَ أَحَدُهُمَآ إِنِّىٓ أَرَىٰنِىٓ أَعْصِرُ خَمْرًا وَقَالَ ٱلْأَخَرُ إِنِّىٓ أَرَىٰنِىٓ أَحْمِلُ فَوْقَ رَأْسِى خُبْزًا تَأْكُلُ ٱلطَّيْرُ مِنْهُ نَبِّئْنَا بِتَأْوِيلِهِۦٓ إِنَّا نَرَىٰكَ مِنَ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ wa-dakhala maʿahu l-sijna fatayāni qalā aḥaduhumā innī aranī aʿṣiru khamran wa-qāla l-akharu innī aranī aḥmilu fawqa rasī khubzan taʾkulu l-ṭayru minhu nabbinā bi-taʾwīlihi innā naraka mina l-muḥsinīna Now with him there came into the prison two young men. Said one of them: "I see myself (in a dream) pressing wine." said the other: "I see myself (in a dream) carrying bread on my head, and birds are eating, thereof." "Tell us" (they said) "The truth and meaning thereof: for we see thou art one that doth good (to all)." |
(12:58) | وَجَآءَ إِخْوَةُ يُوسُفَ فَدَخَلُوا۟ عَلَيْهِ فَعَرَفَهُمْ وَهُمْ لَهُۥ مُنكِرُونَ | wa‑jāʾa ikhwatu yūsufa fa‑dakhalū ʿalayhi fa‑ʿarafahum wa‑hum lahu munkirūna | Then came Joseph's brethren: they entered his presence, and he
knew them, but they knew him not.
Sura Yūsuf 12:58 وَجَآءَ إِخْوَةُ يُوسُفَ فَدَخَلُوا۟ عَلَيْهِ فَعَرَفَهُمْ وَهُمْ لَهُۥ مُنكِرُونَ wa-jāʾa ikhwatu yūsufa fa-dakhalū ʿalayhi fa-ʿarafahum wa-hum lahu munkirūna Then came Joseph's brethren: they entered his presence, and he knew them, but they knew him not. |
(12:67) | وَقَالَ يَٰبَنِىَّ لَا تَدْخُلُوا۟ مِنۢ بَابٍ وَٰحِدٍ وَٱدْخُلُوا۟ مِنْ أَبْوَٰبٍ مُّتَفَرِّقَةٍ وَمَآ أُغْنِى عَنكُم مِّنَ ٱللَّـهِ مِن شَىْءٍ إِنِ ٱلْحُكْمُ إِلَّا لِلَّـهِ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَعَلَيْهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ ٱلْمُتَوَكِّلُونَ | wa‑qāla yā‑baniyya lā tadkhulū min bābin wāḥidin wa‑adkhulū min abwābin mutafarriqatin wa‑mā ughnī ʿankum mina allāhi min shayʾin ini l‑ḥukmu illā lillāhi ʿalayhi tawakkaltu wa‑ʿalayhi fa‑l‑yatawakkali l‑mutawakkilūna | Further he said: "O my sons! enter not all by one gate: enter
ye by different gates. Not that I can profit you aught against Allah (with my
advice): None can command except Allah: On Him do I put my trust: and let
all that trust put their trust on Him."
Sura Yūsuf 12:67 وَقَالَ يَٰبَنِىَّ لَا تَدْخُلُوا۟ مِنۢ بَابٍ وَٰحِدٍ وَٱدْخُلُوا۟ مِنْ أَبْوَٰبٍ مُّتَفَرِّقَةٍ وَمَآ أُغْنِى عَنكُم مِّنَ ٱللَّـهِ مِن شَىْءٍ إِنِ ٱلْحُكْمُ إِلَّا لِلَّـهِ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَعَلَيْهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ ٱلْمُتَوَكِّلُونَ wa-qāla yā-baniyya lā tadkhulū min bābin wāḥidin wa-adkhulū min abwābin mutafarriqatin wa-mā ughnī ʿankum mina allāhi min shayʾin ini l-ḥukmu illā lillāhi ʿalayhi tawakkaltu wa-ʿalayhi fa-l-yatawakkali l-mutawakkilūna Further he said: "O my sons! enter not all by one gate: enter ye by different gates. Not that I can profit you aught against Allah (with my advice): None can command except Allah: On Him do I put my trust: and let all that trust put their trust on Him." |
(12:68) | وَلَمَّا دَخَلُوا۟ مِنْ حَيْثُ أَمَرَهُمْ أَبُوهُم مَّا كَانَ يُغْنِى عَنْهُم مِّنَ ٱللَّـهِ مِن شَىْءٍ إِلَّا حَاجَةً فِى نَفْسِ يَعْقُوبَ قَضَىٰهَا وَإِنَّهُۥ لَذُو عِلْمٍ لِّمَا عَلَّمْنَٰهُ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ | wa‑lammā dakhalū min ḥaythu amarahum abūhum mā kāna yughnī ʿanhum mina allāhi min shayʾin illā ḥājatan fī nafsi yaʿqūba qaḍahā wa‑innahu la‑dhū ʿilmin li‑mā ʿallamnāhu wa‑lākinna akthara l‑nāsi lā yaʿlamūna | And when they entered in the manner their father had enjoined,
it did not profit them in the least against (the plan of) Allah: It was but a
necessity of Jacob's soul, which he discharged. For he was, by our
instruction, full of knowledge (and experience): but most men know not.
Sura Yūsuf 12:68 وَلَمَّا دَخَلُوا۟ مِنْ حَيْثُ أَمَرَهُمْ أَبُوهُم مَّا كَانَ يُغْنِى عَنْهُم مِّنَ ٱللَّـهِ مِن شَىْءٍ إِلَّا حَاجَةً فِى نَفْسِ يَعْقُوبَ قَضَىٰهَا وَإِنَّهُۥ لَذُو عِلْمٍ لِّمَا عَلَّمْنَٰهُ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ wa-lammā dakhalū min ḥaythu amarahum abūhum mā kāna yughnī ʿanhum mina allāhi min shayʾin illā ḥājatan fī nafsi yaʿqūba qaḍahā wa-innahu la-dhū ʿilmin li-mā ʿallamnāhu wa-lākinna akthara l-nāsi lā yaʿlamūna And when they entered in the manner their father had enjoined, it did not profit them in the least against (the plan of) Allah: It was but a necessity of Jacob's soul, which he discharged. (full) brother to stay with him. He said (to him): "Behold! I am thy (own)
brother; so grieve not at aught of their doings."
Sura Yūsuf 12:69 وَلَمَّا دَخَلُوا۟ عَلَىٰ يُوسُفَ ءَاوَىٰٓ إِلَيْهِ أَخَاهُ قَالَ إِنِّىٓ أَنَا۠ أَخُوكَ فَلَا تَبْتَئِسْ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ wa-lammā dakhalū ʿalā yūsufa āwa ilayhi akhāhu qalā innī anā akhūka fa-lā tabtaʾis bi-mā kānū yaʿmalūna Now when they came into Joseph's presence, he received his (full) brother to stay with him. He said (to him): "Behold! I am thy (own) brother; so grieve not at aught of their doings." |
(12:88) | فَلَمَّا دَخَلُوا۟ عَلَيْهِ قَالُوا۟ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْعَزِيزُ مَسَّنَا وَأَهْلَنَا ٱلضُّرُّ وَجِئْنَا بِبِضَٰعَةٍ مُّزْجَىٰةٍ فَأَوْفِ لَنَا ٱلْكَيْلَ وَتَصَدَّقْ عَلَيْنَآ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ يَجْزِى ٱلْمُتَصَدِّقِينَ | fa‑lammā dakhalū ʿalayhi qālū yā‑ayyuhā l‑ʿazīzu massanā wa‑ahlanā l‑ḍurru wa‑jiʾnā bibiḍāʿatin muzjatin fa‑awfi la‑nā l‑kayla wa‑taṣaddaq ʿalaynā inna allāha yajzī l‑mutaṣaddiqīna | Then, when they came (back) into (Joseph's) presence they
said: "O exalted one! distress has seized us and our family: we have (now)
brought but scanty capital: so pay us full measure, (we pray thee), and
treat it as charity to us: for Allah doth reward the charitable."
Sura Yūsuf 12:88 فَلَمَّا دَخَلُوا۟ عَلَيْهِ قَالُوا۟ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْعَزِيزُ مَسَّنَا وَأَهْلَنَا ٱلضُّرُّ وَجِئْنَا بِبِضَٰعَةٍ مُّزْجَىٰةٍ فَأَوْفِ لَنَا ٱلْكَيْلَ وَتَصَدَّقْ عَلَيْنَآ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ يَجْزِى ٱلْمُتَصَدِّقِينَ fa-lammā dakhalū ʿalayhi qālū yā-ayyuhā l-ʿazīzu massanā wa-ahlanā l-ḍurru wa-jiʾnā bibiḍāʿatin muzjatin fa-awfi la-nā l-kayla wa-taṣaddaq ʿalaynā inna allāha yajzī l-mutaṣaddiqīna Then, when they came (back) into (Joseph's) presence they said: "O exalted one! distress has seized us and our family: we have (now) brought but scanty capital: so pay us full measure, (we pray thee), and treat it as charity to us: for Allah doth reward the charitable." |
(12:99) | فَلَمَّا دَخَلُوا۟ عَلَىٰ يُوسُفَ ءَاوَىٰٓ إِلَيْهِ أَبَوَيْهِ وَقَالَ ٱدْخُلُوا۟ مِصْرَ إِن شَآءَ ٱللَّـهُ ءَامِنِينَ | fa‑lammā dakhalū ʿalā yūsufa āwa ilayhi abawayhi wa‑qāla idkhulū miṣra in shāʾa allāhu āminīna | Then when they entered the presence of Joseph, he provided a
home for his parents with himself, and said: "Enter ye Egypt (all) in
safety if it please Allah."
Sura Yūsuf 12:99 فَلَمَّا دَخَلُوا۟ عَلَىٰ يُوسُفَ ءَاوَىٰٓ إِلَيْهِ أَبَوَيْهِ وَقَالَ ٱدْخُلُوا۟ مِصْرَ إِن شَآءَ ٱللَّـهُ ءَامِنِينَ fa-lammā dakhalū ʿalā yūsufa āwa ilayhi abawayhi wa-qāla idkhulū miṣra in shāʾa allāhu āminīna Then when they entered the presence of Joseph, he provided a home for his parents with himself, and said: "Enter ye Egypt (all) in safety if it please Allah." |
(13:23) | جَنَّٰتُ عَدْنٍ يَدْخُلُونَهَا وَمَن صَلَحَ مِنْ ءَابَآئِهِمْ وَأَزْوَٰجِهِمْ وَذُرِّيَّٰتِهِمْ وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ يَدْخُلُونَ عَلَيْهِم مِّن كُلِّ بَابٍ | jannātu ʿadnin yadkhulūnahā wa‑man ṣalaḥa min ābāʾihim wa‑azwājihim wa‑dhurriyyātihim wa‑l‑malāʾikatu yadkhulūna ʿalayhim min kulli bābin | Gardens of perpetual bliss: they shall enter there, as well as
the righteous among their fathers, their spouses, and their offspring: and
angels shall enter unto them from every gate (with the salutation):
Sura al-Raʿd 13:23 جَنَّٰتُ عَدْنٍ يَدْخُلُونَهَا وَمَن صَلَحَ مِنْ ءَابَآئِهِمْ وَأَزْوَٰجِهِمْ وَذُرِّيَّٰتِهِمْ وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ يَدْخُلُونَ عَلَيْهِم مِّن كُلِّ بَابٍ jannātu ʿadnin yadkhulūnahā wa-man ṣalaḥa min ābāʾihim wa-azwājihim wa-dhurriyyātihim wa-l-malāʾikatu yadkhulūna ʿalayhim min kulli bābin Gardens of perpetual bliss: they shall enter there, as well as the righteous among their fathers, their spouses, and their offspring: and angels shall enter unto them from every gate (with the salutation): |
(14:23) | وَأُدْخِلَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ جَنَّٰتٍ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِمْ تَحِيَّتُهُمْ فِيهَا سَلَٰمٌ | wa‑udkhila lladhīna āmanū wa‑ʿamilū l‑ṣāliḥāti jannātin tajrī min taḥtihā l‑anhāru khālidīna fīhā bi‑idhni rabbihim taḥiyyatuhum fīhā salāmun | But those who believe and work righteousness will be admitted
to gardens beneath which rivers flow,- to dwell therein for aye with the
leave of their Lord. Their greeting therein will be: "Peace!"
Sura Ibrāhīm 14:23 وَأُدْخِلَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ جَنَّٰتٍ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِمْ تَحِيَّتُهُمْ فِيهَا سَلَٰمٌ wa-udkhila lladhīna āmanū wa-ʿamilū l-ṣāliḥāti jannātin tajrī min taḥtihā l-anhāru khālidīna fīhā bi-idhni rabbihim taḥiyyatuhum fīhā salāmun But those who believe and work righteousness will be admitted to gardens beneath which rivers flow,- to dwell therein for aye with the leave of their Lord. Their greeting therein will be: "Peace!" |
(15:46) | ٱدْخُلُوهَا بِسَلَٰمٍ ءَامِنِينَ | idkhulūhā bi‑salāmin āminīna | (Their greeting will be): "Enter ye here in peace and
security."
Sura al-Ḥijr 15:46 ٱدْخُلُوهَا بِسَلَٰمٍ ءَامِنِينَ idkhulūhā bi-salāmin āminīna (Their greeting will be): "Enter ye here in peace and security." |
(15:52) | إِذْ دَخَلُوا۟ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالُوا۟ سَلَٰمًا قَالَ إِنَّا مِنكُمْ وَجِلُونَ | idh dakhalū ʿalayhi fa‑qālū salāman qalā innā minkum wajilūna | When they entered his presence and said, "Peace!" He said, "We
feel afraid of you!"
Sura al-Ḥijr 15:52 إِذْ دَخَلُوا۟ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالُوا۟ سَلَٰمًا قَالَ إِنَّا مِنكُمْ وَجِلُونَ idh dakhalū ʿalayhi fa-qālū salāman qalā innā minkum wajilūna When they entered his presence and said, "Peace!" He said, "We feel afraid of you!" |
(16:29) | فَٱدْخُلُوٓا۟ أَبْوَٰبَ جَهَنَّمَ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا فَلَبِئْسَ مَثْوَى ٱلْمُتَكَبِّرِينَ | fa‑idkhulū abwāba jahannama khālidīna fīhā fa‑la‑biʾsa mathwā l‑mutakabbirīna | "So enter the gates of Hell, to dwell therein. Thus evil
indeed is the abode of the arrogant."
Sura al-Naḥl 16:29 فَٱدْخُلُوٓا۟ أَبْوَٰبَ جَهَنَّمَ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا فَلَبِئْسَ مَثْوَى ٱلْمُتَكَبِّرِينَ fa-idkhulū abwāba jahannama khālidīna fīhā fa-la-biʾsa mathwā l-mutakabbirīna "So enter the gates of Hell, to dwell therein. Thus evil indeed is the abode of the arrogant." |
(16:31) | جَنَّٰتُ عَدْنٍ يَدْخُلُونَهَا تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ لَهُمْ فِيهَا مَا يَشَآءُونَ كَذَٰلِكَ يَجْزِى ٱللَّـهُ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ | jannātu ʿadnin yadkhulūnahā tajrī min taḥtihā l‑anhāru lahum fīhā mā yashāʾūna ka‑dhālika yajzī allāhu l‑muttaqīna | Gardens of Eternity which they will enter: beneath them flow
(pleasant) rivers: they will have therein all that they wish: thus doth Allah
reward the righteous,-
Sura al-Naḥl 16:31 جَنَّٰتُ عَدْنٍ يَدْخُلُونَهَا تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ لَهُمْ فِيهَا مَا يَشَآءُونَ كَذَٰلِكَ يَجْزِى ٱللَّـهُ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ jannātu ʿadnin yadkhulūnahā tajrī min taḥtihā l-anhāru lahum fīhā mā yashāʾūna ka-dhālika yajzī allāhu l-muttaqīna Gardens of Eternity which they will enter: beneath them flow (pleasant) rivers: they will have therein all that they wish: thus doth Allah reward the righteous,- |
(16:32) | ٱلَّذِينَ تَتَوَفَّىٰهُمُ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ طَيِّبِينَ يَقُولُونَ سَلَٰمٌ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْجَنَّةَ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ | lladhīna tatawaffahumu l‑malāʾikatu ṭayyibīna yaqūlūna salāmun ʿalaykumu idkhulū l‑jannata bi‑mā kuntum taʿmalūna | (Namely) those whose lives the angels take in a state of
purity, saying (to them), "Peace be on you; enter ye the Garden, because of
(the good) which ye did (in the world)."
Sura al-Naḥl 16:32 ٱلَّذِينَ تَتَوَفَّىٰهُمُ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ طَيِّبِينَ يَقُولُونَ سَلَٰمٌ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْجَنَّةَ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ lladhīna tatawaffahumu l-malāʾikatu ṭayyibīna yaqūlūna salāmun ʿalaykumu idkhulū l-jannata bi-mā kuntum taʿmalūna (Namely) those whose lives the angels take in a state of purity, saying (to them), "Peace be on you; enter ye the Garden, because of (the good) which ye did (in the world)." |
(17:7) | إِنْ أَحْسَنتُمْ أَحْسَنتُمْ لِأَنفُسِكُمْ وَإِنْ أَسَأْتُمْ فَلَهَا فَإِذَا جَآءَ وَعْدُ ٱلْأَخِرَةِ لِيَسُۥٓـُٔوا۟ وُجُوهَكُمْ وَلِيَدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْمَسْجِدَ كَمَا دَخَلُوهُ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ وَلِيُتَبِّرُوا۟ مَا عَلَوْا۟ تَتْبِيرًا | in aḥsantum aḥsantum li‑anfusikum wa‑in asaʾtum fa‑lahā fa‑idhā jāa waʿdu l‑akhirati li‑yasuʾū wujūhakum wa‑li‑yadkhulū l‑masjida ka‑mā dakhalūhu awwala marratin wa‑li‑yutabbirū mā ʿalaw tatbīran | If ye did well, ye did well for yourselves; if ye did evil,
(ye did it) against yourselves. So when the second of the warnings came to
pass, (We permitted your enemies) to disfigure your faces, and to enter
your Temple as they had entered it before, and to visit with destruction
all that fell into their power.
Sura al-Isrāʾ 17:7 إِنْ أَحْسَنتُمْ أَحْسَنتُمْ لِأَنفُسِكُمْ وَإِنْ أَسَأْتُمْ فَلَهَا فَإِذَا جَآءَ وَعْدُ ٱلْأَخِرَةِ لِيَسُۥٓـُٔوا۟ وُجُوهَكُمْ وَلِيَدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْمَسْجِدَ كَمَا دَخَلُوهُ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ وَلِيُتَبِّرُوا۟ مَا عَلَوْا۟ تَتْبِيرًا in aḥsantum aḥsantum li-anfusikum wa-in asaʾtum fa-lahā fa-idhā jāa waʿdu l-akhirati li-yasuʾū wujūhakum wa-li-yadkhulū l-masjida ka-mā dakhalūhu awwala marratin wa-li-yutabbirū mā ʿalaw tatbīran If ye did well, ye did well for yourselves; if ye did evil, (ye did it) against yourselves.
