Surah 4 al-Nisāʾ (The Women)

(4:133)

إِن  يَشَأْ  يُذْهِبْكُمْ  أَيُّهَا  ٱلنَّاسُ  وَيَأْتِ  بِـَٔاخَرِينَ  وَكَانَ  ٱللَّـهُ  عَلَىٰ  ذَٰلِكَ  قَدِيرًا in yashaʾ yudhhibkum ayyuhā l‑nāsu wa‑yaʾti bi‑ākharīna wa‑kāna allāhu ʿalā dhālika qadīran
If it were His will, He could destroy you, o mankind, and create another race; for He hath power this to do.

Surah 6 al-Anʿām (The Cattle)
(6:133)

وَرَبُّكَ  ٱلْغَنِىُّ  ذُو  ٱلرَّحْمَةِ  إِن  يَشَأْ  يُذْهِبْكُمْ  وَيَسْتَخْلِفْ  مِنۢ  بَعْدِكُم  مَّا  يَشَآءُ  كَمَآ  أَنشَأَكُم  مِّن  ذُرِّيَّةِ  قَوْمٍ  ءَاخَرِينَ wa‑rabbuka l‑ghaniyyu dhū l‑raḥmati in yashaʾ yudhhibkum wa‑yastakhlif min baʿdikum yashāʾu ka‑mā anshaʾakum min dhurriyyatī qawmin ākharīna
Thy Lord is self-sufficient, full of Mercy: if it were His will, He could destroy you, and in your place appoint whom He will as your successors, even as He raised you up from the posterity of other people.

Surah 8 al-Anfāl (The Spoils of War)
(8:11)

إِذْ  يُغَشِّيكُمُ  ٱلنُّعَاسَ  أَمَنَةً  مِّنْهُ  وَيُنَزِّلُ  عَلَيْكُم  مِّنَ  ٱلسَّمَآءِ  مَآءً  لِّيُطَهِّرَكُم  بِهِۦ  وَيُذْهِبَ  عَنكُمْ  رِجْزَ  ٱلشَّيْطَٰنِ  وَلِيَرْبِطَ  عَلَىٰ  قُلُوبِكُمْ  وَيُثَبِّتَ  بِهِ  ٱلْأَقْدَامَ idh yughashshīkumu l‑nuʿāsa amanatan minhu wa‑yunazzilu ʿalaykum mina l‑samāʾi māʾan li‑yuṭahhirakum bihi wa‑yudhhiba ʿankum rijza l‑shayṭāni wa‑li‑yarbiṭa ʿalā qulūbikum wa‑yuthabbita bihi l‑aqdāma
Remember He covered you with a sort of drowsiness, to give you calm as from Himself, and he caused rain to descend on you from heaven, to clean you therewith, to remove from you the stain of Satan, to strengthen your hearts, and to plant your feet firmly therewith.

Surah 9 al-Tawbah (Repentance)
(9:15)

وَيُذْهِبْ  غَيْظَ  قُلُوبِهِمْ  وَيَتُوبُ  ٱللَّـهُ  عَلَىٰ  مَن  يَشَآءُ  وَٱللَّـهُ  عَلِيمٌ  حَكِيمٌ wa‑yudhhib ghayẓa qulūbihim wa‑yatūbu allāhu ʿalā man yashāʾu wallāhu ʿalīmun ḥakīmun
And still the indignation of their hearts. For Allah will turn (in mercy) to whom He will; and Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.

Surah 11 Hūd (Hud)
(11:114)

وَأَقِمِ  ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ  طَرَفَىِ  ٱلنَّهَارِ  وَزُلَفًا  مِّنَ  ٱلَّيْلِ  إِنَّ  ٱلْحَسَنَٰتِ  يُذْهِبْنَ  ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ  ذَٰلِكَ  ذِكْرَىٰ  لِلذَّٰكِرِينَ wa‑aqimi l‑ṣalāta ṭarafayi l‑nahāri wa‑zulafan mina l‑layli inna l‑ḥasanāti yudhhibna l‑sayyiʾāti dhālika dhikra lil‑dhākirīna
And establish regular prayers at the two ends of the day and at the approaches of the night: For those things, that are good remove those that are evil: Be that the word of remembrance to those who remember (their Lord):

Surah 14 Ibrāhīm (Abraham)
(14:19)

أَلَمْ  تَرَ  أَنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  خَلَقَ  ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ  وَٱلْأَرْضَ  بِٱلْحَقِّ  إِن  يَشَأْ  يُذْهِبْكُمْ  وَيَأْتِ  بِخَلْقٍ  جَدِيدٍ a‑lam tara annā allāha khalaqa l‑samāwāti wa‑l‑arḍa bil‑ḥaqqi in yashaʾ yudhhibkum wa‑yaʾti bi‑khalqin jadīdin
Seest thou not that Allah created the heavens and the earth in Truth? If He so will, He can remove you and put (in your place) a new creation?

Surah 22 al-Ḥajj (The Pilgrimage)
(22:15)

مَن  كَانَ  يَظُنُّ  أَن  لَّن  يَنصُرَهُ  ٱللَّـهُ  فِى  ٱلدُّنْيَا  وَٱلْأَخِرَةِ  فَلْيَمْدُدْ  بِسَبَبٍ  إِلَى  ٱلسَّمَآءِ  ثُمَّ  لْيَقْطَعْ  فَلْيَنظُرْ  هَلْ  يُذْهِبَنَّ  كَيْدُهُۥ  مَا  يَغِيظُ man kāna yaẓunnu an lan yanṣurahu allāhu l‑dunyā wa‑l‑akhirati fa‑l‑yamdud bi‑sababin ilā l‑samāʾi thumma l‑yaqṭaʿ falyanẓur hal yudhhibanna kayduhu yaghīẓu
If any think that Allah will not help him (His Messenger) in this world and the Hereafter, let him stretch out a rope to the ceiling and cut (himself) off: then let him see whether his plan will remove that which enrages (him)!

Surah 33 al-Aḥzāb (The Allies)
(33:33)

وَقَرْنَ  فِى  بُيُوتِكُنَّ  وَلَا  تَبَرَّجْنَ  تَبَرُّجَ  ٱلْجَٰهِلِيَّةِ  ٱلْأُولَىٰ  وَأَقِمْنَ  ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ  وَءَاتِينَ  ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ  وَأَطِعْنَ  ٱللَّـهَ  وَرَسُولَهُۥٓ  إِنَّمَا  يُرِيدُ  ٱللَّـهُ  لِيُذْهِبَ  عَنكُمُ  ٱلرِّجْسَ  أَهْلَ  ٱلْبَيْتِ  وَيُطَهِّرَكُمْ  تَطْهِيرًا wa‑qarna buyūtikunna wa‑lā tabarrajna tabarruja l‑jāhiliyyati l‑ūlā wa‑aqimna l‑ṣalāta wa‑ātīna l‑zakāta wa‑aṭiʿna allāha wa‑rasūlahu innamā yurīdu allāhu li‑yudhhiba ʿankumu l‑rijsa ahla l‑bayti wa‑yuṭahhirakum taṭhīran
And stay quietly in your houses, and make not a dazzling display, like that of the former Times of Ignorance; and establish regular Prayer, and give regular Charity; and obey Allah and His Messenger. And Allah only wishes to remove all abomination from you, ye members of the Family, and to make you pure and spotless.

Surah 35 al-Faṭīr (The Creator)
(35:16)

إِن  يَشَأْ  يُذْهِبْكُمْ  وَيَأْتِ  بِخَلْقٍ  جَدِيدٍ in yashaʾ yudhhibkum wa‑yaʾti bi‑khalqin jadīdin
If He so pleased, He could blot you out and bring in a New Creation.
(35:34)

وَقَالُوا۟  ٱلْحَمْدُ  لِلَّـهِ  ٱلَّذِىٓ  أَذْهَبَ  عَنَّا  ٱلْحَزَنَ  إِنَّ  رَبَّنَا  لَغَفُورٌ  شَكُورٌ wa‑qālū l‑ḥamdu lillāhi alladhī adhhaba ʿannā l‑ḥazana inna rabbanā la‑ghafūrun shakūrun
And they will say: "Praise be to Allah, Who has removed from us (all) sorrow: for our Lord is indeed Oft-Forgiving Ready to appreciate (service):

Surah 46 al-Aḥqāf (The Sandhills)
(46:20)

وَيَوْمَ  يُعْرَضُ  ٱلَّذِينَ  كَفَرُوا۟  عَلَى  ٱلنَّارِ  أَذْهَبْتُمْ  طَيِّبَٰتِكُمْ  فِى  حَيَاتِكُمُ  ٱلدُّنْيَا  وَٱسْتَمْتَعْتُم  بِهَا  فَٱلْيَوْمَ  تُجْزَوْنَ  عَذَابَ  ٱلْهُونِ  بِمَا  كُنتُمْ  تَسْتَكْبِرُونَ  فِى  ٱلْأَرْضِ  بِغَيْرِ  ٱلْحَقِّ  وَبِمَا  كُنتُمْ  تَفْسُقُونَ wa‑yawma yuʿraḍu lladhīna kafarū ʿalā l‑nāri adhhabtum ṭayyibātikum ḥayātikumu l‑dunyā wa‑istamtaʿtum bihā fa‑l‑yawma tujzawna ʿadhāba l‑hūni bi‑mā kuntum tastakbirūna l‑arḍi bi‑ghayri l‑ḥaqqi wa‑bimā kuntum tafsuqūna
And on the Day that the Unbelievers will be placed before the Fire, (It will be said to them): "Ye received your good things in the life of the world, and ye took your pleasure out of them: but today shall ye be recompensed with a Penalty of humiliation: for that ye were arrogant on earth without just cause, and that ye (ever) transgressed."
