(5:95) | يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَقْتُلُوا۟ ٱلصَّيْدَ وَأَنتُمْ حُرُمٌ وَمَن قَتَلَهُۥ مِنكُم مُّتَعَمِّدًا فَجَزَآءٌ مِّثْلُ مَا قَتَلَ مِنَ ٱلنَّعَمِ يَحْكُمُ بِهِۦ ذَوَا عَدْلٍ مِّنكُمْ هَدْيًۢا بَٰلِغَ ٱلْكَعْبَةِ أَوْ كَفَّٰرَةٌ طَعَامُ مَسَٰكِينَ أَوْ عَدْلُ ذَٰلِكَ صِيَامًا لِّيَذُوقَ وَبَالَ أَمْرِهِۦ عَفَا ٱللَّـهُ عَمَّا سَلَفَ وَمَنْ عَادَ فَيَنتَقِمُ ٱللَّـهُ مِنْهُ وَٱللَّـهُ عَزِيزٌ ذُو ٱنتِقَامٍ | yā‑ayyuhā lladhīna āmanū lā taqtulū l‑ṣayda wa‑antum ḥurumun wa‑man qatalahu minkum mutaʿammidan fa‑jazāʾun mithlu mā qatala mina l‑naʿami yaḥkumu bihi dhawā ʿadlin minkum hadyan bāligha l‑kaʿbati aw kaffāratun ṭaʿāmu masākīna aw ʿadlu dhālika ṣiyāmān li‑yadhūqa wabāla amrihi ʿafā allāhu ʿammā salafa wa‑man ʿāda fa‑yantaqimu allāhu minhu wallāhu ʿazīzun dhū intiqāmin | O ye who believe! Kill not game while in the sacred precincts
or in pilgrim garb. If any of you doth so intentionally, the compensation
is an offering, brought to the Ka'ba, of a domestic animal equivalent to
the one he killed, as adjudged by two just men among you; or by way of
atonement, the feeding of the indigent; or its equivalent in fasts: that he
may taste of the penalty of his deed. Allah forgives what is past: for
repetition Allah will exact from him the penalty. For Allah is Exalted, and
Lord of Retribution.

(6:65) | قُلْ هُوَ ٱلْقَادِرُ عَلَىٰٓ أَن يَبْعَثَ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابًا مِّن فَوْقِكُمْ أَوْ مِن تَحْتِ أَرْجُلِكُمْ أَوْ يَلْبِسَكُمْ شِيَعًا وَيُذِيقَ بَعْضَكُم بَأْسَ بَعْضٍ ٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ نُصَرِّفُ ٱلْأَيَٰتِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَفْقَهُونَ | qul huwa l‑qādiru ʿala an yabʿatha ʿalaykum ʿadhāban min fawqikum aw min taḥti arjulikum aw yalbisakum shiyaʿan wa‑yudhīqa baʿḍakum baʾsa baʿḍin inẓur kayfa nuṣarrifu l‑ayāti la‑ʿallahum yafqahūna | Say: "He hath power to send calamities on you, from above and
below, or to cover you with confusion in party strife, giving you a taste
of mutual vengeance - each from the other." See how We explain the signs by
various (symbols); that they may understand.
Sura al-Anʿām 6:65 قُلْ هُوَ ٱلْقَادِرُ عَلَىٰٓ أَن يَبْعَثَ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابًا مِّن فَوْقِكُمْ أَوْ مِن تَحْتِ أَرْجُلِكُمْ أَوْ يَلْبِسَكُمْ شِيَعًا وَيُذِيقَ بَعْضَكُم بَأْسَ بَعْضٍ ٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ نُصَرِّفُ ٱلْأَيَٰتِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَفْقَهُونَ qul huwa l-qādiru ʿala an yabʿatha ʿalaykum ʿadhāban min fawqikum aw min taḥti arjulikum aw yalbisakum shiyaʿan wa-yudhīqa baʿḍakum baʾsa baʿḍin inẓur kayfa nuṣarrifu l-ayāti la-ʿallahum yafqahūna Say: "He hath power to send calamities on you, from above and below, or to cover you with confusion in party strife, giving you a taste of mutual vengeance - each from the other." See how We explain the signs by various (symbols); that they may understand. |
(16:112) | وَضَرَبَ ٱللَّـهُ مَثَلًا قَرْيَةً كَانَتْ ءَامِنَةً مُّطْمَئِنَّةً يَأْتِيهَا رِزْقُهَا رَغَدًا مِّن كُلِّ مَكَانٍ فَكَفَرَتْ بِأَنْعُمِ ٱللَّـهِ فَأَذَٰقَهَا ٱللَّـهُ لِبَاسَ ٱلْجُوعِ وَٱلْخَوْفِ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَصْنَعُونَ | wa‑ḍaraba allāhu mathalan qaryatan kānat āminatan muṭmaʾinnatan yaʾtīhā rizquhā raghadan min kulli makānin fa‑kafarat bi‑anʿumi allāhi fa‑adhāqahā allāhu libāsa l‑jūʿi wa‑l‑khawfi bi‑mā kānū yaṣnaʿūna | Allah sets forth a Parable: a city enjoying security and quiet,
abundantly supplied with sustenance from every place: Yet was it ungrateful
for the favours of Allah: so Allah made it taste of hunger and terror (in
extremes) (closing in on it) like a garment (from every side), because of
the (evil) which (its people) wrought.
Sura al-Naḥl 16:112 وَضَرَبَ ٱللَّـهُ مَثَلًا قَرْيَةً كَانَتْ ءَامِنَةً مُّطْمَئِنَّةً يَأْتِيهَا رِزْقُهَا رَغَدًا مِّن كُلِّ مَكَانٍ فَكَفَرَتْ بِأَنْعُمِ ٱللَّـهِ فَأَذَٰقَهَا ٱللَّـهُ لِبَاسَ ٱلْجُوعِ وَٱلْخَوْفِ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَصْنَعُونَ wa-ḍaraba allāhu mathalan qaryatan kānat āminatan muṭmaʾinnatan yaʾtīhā rizquhā raghadan min kulli makānin fa-kafarat bi-anʿumi allāhi fa-adhāqahā allāhu libāsa l-jūʿi wa-l-khawfi bi-mā kānū yaṣnaʿūna Allah sets forth a Parable: a city enjoying security and quiet, abundantly supplied with sustenance from every place: Yet was it ungrateful for the favours of Allah: so Allah made it taste of hunger and terror (in extremes) (closing in on it) like a garment (from every side), because of the (evil) which (its people) wrought. |
(30:33) | وَإِذَا مَسَّ ٱلنَّاسَ ضُرٌّ دَعَوْا۟ رَبَّهُم مُّنِيبِينَ إِلَيْهِ ثُمَّ إِذَآ أَذَاقَهُم مِّنْهُ رَحْمَةً إِذَا فَرِيقٌ مِّنْهُم بِرَبِّهِمْ يُشْرِكُونَ | wa‑idhā massa l‑nāsa ḍurrun daʿaw rabbahum munībīna ilayhi thumma idhā adhāqahum minhu raḥmatan idhā farīqun minhum bi‑rabbihim yushrikūna | When trouble touches men, they cry to their Lord, turning back
to Him in repentance: but when He gives them a taste of Mercy as from
Himself, behold, some of them pay part-worship to other god's besides their
Lord,-
Sura al-Rūm 30:33 وَإِذَا مَسَّ ٱلنَّاسَ ضُرٌّ دَعَوْا۟ رَبَّهُم مُّنِيبِينَ إِلَيْهِ ثُمَّ إِذَآ أَذَاقَهُم مِّنْهُ رَحْمَةً إِذَا فَرِيقٌ مِّنْهُم بِرَبِّهِمْ يُشْرِكُونَ wa-idhā massa l-nāsa ḍurrun daʿaw rabbahum munībīna ilayhi thumma idhā adhāqahum minhu raḥmatan idhā farīqun minhum bi-rabbihim yushrikūna When trouble touches men, they cry to their Lord, turning back to Him in repentance: but when He gives them a taste of Mercy as from Himself, behold, some of them pay part-worship to other god's besides their Lord,- |
(30:41) | ظَهَرَ ٱلْفَسَادُ فِى ٱلْبَرِّ وَٱلْبَحْرِ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ أَيْدِى ٱلنَّاسِ لِيُذِيقَهُم بَعْضَ ٱلَّذِى عَمِلُوا۟ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ | ẓahara l‑fasādu fī l‑barri wa‑l‑baḥri bi‑mā kasabat aydī l‑nāsi li‑yudhīqahum baʿḍa alladhī ʿamilū la‑ʿallahum yarjiʿūna | Mischief has appeared on land and sea because of (the meed)
that the hands of men have earned, that (Allah) may give them a taste of some
of their deeds: in order that they may turn back (from Evil).
Sura al-Rūm 30:41 ظَهَرَ ٱلْفَسَادُ فِى ٱلْبَرِّ وَٱلْبَحْرِ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ أَيْدِى ٱلنَّاسِ لِيُذِيقَهُم بَعْضَ ٱلَّذِى عَمِلُوا۟ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ ẓahara l-fasādu fī l-barri wa-l-baḥri bi-mā kasabat aydī l-nāsi li-yudhīqahum baʿḍa alladhī ʿamilū la-ʿallahum yarjiʿūna Mischief has appeared on land and sea because of (the meed) that the hands of men have earned, that (Allah) may give them a taste of some of their deeds: in order that they may turn back (from Evil). |
(30:46) | وَمِنْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦٓ أَن يُرْسِلَ ٱلرِّيَاحَ مُبَشِّرَٰتٍ وَلِيُذِيقَكُم مِّن رَّحْمَتِهِۦ وَلِتَجْرِىَ ٱلْفُلْكُ بِأَمْرِهِۦ وَلِتَبْتَغُوا۟ مِن فَضْلِهِۦ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ | wa‑min āyātihi an yursila l‑rīāḥa mubashshirātin wa‑li‑yudhīqakum min rraḥmatihi wa‑li‑tajriya l‑fulku bi‑amrihi wa‑li‑tabtaghū min faḍlihi wa‑la‑ʿallakum tashkurūna | Among His Signs is this, that He sends the Winds, as heralds
of Glad Tidings, giving you a taste of His (Grace and) Mercy,- that the
ships may sail (majestically) by His Command and that ye may seek of His
Bounty: in order that ye may be grateful.
Sura al-Rūm 30:46 وَمِنْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦٓ أَن يُرْسِلَ ٱلرِّيَاحَ مُبَشِّرَٰتٍ وَلِيُذِيقَكُم مِّن رَّحْمَتِهِۦ وَلِتَجْرِىَ ٱلْفُلْكُ بِأَمْرِهِۦ وَلِتَبْتَغُوا۟ مِن فَضْلِهِۦ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ wa-min āyātihi an yursila l-rīāḥa mubashshirātin wa-li-yudhīqakum min rraḥmatihi wa-li-tajriya l-fulku bi-amrihi wa-li-tabtaghū min faḍlihi wa-la-ʿallakum tashkurūna Among His Signs is this, that He sends the Winds, as heralds of Glad Tidings, giving you a taste of His (Grace and) Mercy,- that the ships may sail (majestically) by His Command and that ye may seek of His Bounty: in order that ye may be grateful. |
(39:26) | فَأَذَاقَهُمُ ٱللَّـهُ ٱلْخِزْىَ فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَلَعَذَابُ ٱلْأَخِرَةِ أَكْبَرُ لَوْ كَانُوا۟ يَعْلَمُونَ | faadhāqahumu allāhu l‑khizya fī l‑ḥayāti l‑dunyā wa‑la‑ʿadhābu l‑akhirati akbaru law kānū yaʿlamūna | So Allah gave them a taste of humiliation in the present life,
but greater is the punishment of the Hereafter, if they only knew!
Sura al-Zumar 39:26 فَأَذَاقَهُمُ ٱللَّـهُ ٱلْخِزْىَ فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَلَعَذَابُ ٱلْأَخِرَةِ أَكْبَرُ لَوْ كَانُوا۟ يَعْلَمُونَ faadhāqahumu allāhu l-khizya fī l-ḥayāti l-dunyā wa-la-ʿadhābu l-akhirati akbaru law kānū yaʿlamūna So Allah gave them a taste of humiliation in the present life, but greater is the punishment of the Hereafter, if they only knew! |
(44:49) | ذُقْ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْكَرِيمُ | dhuq innaka anta l‑ʿazīzu l‑karīmu | "Taste thou (this)! Truly wast thou mighty, full of honour!
Sura al-Dukhān 44:49 ذُقْ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْكَرِيمُ dhuq innaka anta l-ʿazīzu l-karīmu "Taste thou (this)! Truly wast thou mighty, full of honour! |
(65:9) | فَذَاقَتْ وَبَالَ أَمْرِهَا وَكَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ أَمْرِهَا خُسْرًا | fa‑dhāqat wabāla amrihā wa‑kāna ʿāqibatu amrihā khusran | Then did they taste the evil result of their conduct, and the
End of their conduct was Perdition.
Sura al-Ṭalāq 65:9 فَذَاقَتْ وَبَالَ أَمْرِهَا وَكَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ أَمْرِهَا خُسْرًا fa-dhāqat wabāla amrihā wa-kāna ʿāqibatu amrihā khusran Then did they taste the evil result of their conduct, and the End of their conduct was Perdition. |
