Surah 7 al-Aʿrāf (The Heights)

(7:105)

حَقِيقٌ  عَلَىٰٓ  أَن  لَّآ  أَقُولَ  عَلَى  ٱللَّـهِ  إِلَّا  ٱلْحَقَّ  قَدْ  جِئْتُكُم  بِبَيِّنَةٍ  مِّن  رَّبِّكُمْ  فَأَرْسِلْ  مَعِىَ  بَنِىٓ  إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ ḥaqīqun ʿala an aqūla ʿalā allāhi illā l‑ḥaqqa qad jiʾtukum bi‑bayyinatin min rabbikum fa‑arsil maʿiya banī isrāʾīla
One for whom it is right to say nothing but truth about Allah. Now have I come unto you (people), from your Lord, with a clear (Sign): So let the Children of Israel depart along with me."
(7:111)

قَالُوٓا۟  أَرْجِهْ  وَأَخَاهُ  وَأَرْسِلْ  فِى  ٱلْمَدَآئِنِ  حَٰشِرِينَ qālū arjih wa‑akhāhu wa‑arsil l‑madāʾini ḥāshirīna
They said: "Keep him and his brother in suspense (for a while); and send to the cities men to collect-

Surah 12 Yūsuf (Joseph)
(12:12)

أَرْسِلْهُ  مَعَنَا  غَدًا  يَرْتَعْ  وَيَلْعَبْ  وَإِنَّا  لَهُۥ  لَحَٰفِظُونَ arsilhu maʿanā ghadan yartaʿ wa‑yalʿab wa‑innā lahu la‑ḥāfiẓūna
"Send him with us tomorrow to enjoy himself and play, and we shall take every care of him."
(12:45)

وَقَالَ  ٱلَّذِى  نَجَا  مِنْهُمَا  وَٱدَّكَرَ  بَعْدَ  أُمَّةٍ  أَنَا۠  أُنَبِّئُكُم  بِتَأْوِيلِهِۦ  فَأَرْسِلُونِ wa‑qāla alladhī najā minhumā wa‑addakara baʿda ummatin anā unabbiʾukum bitawīlihi fa‑arsilūni
But the man who had been released, one of the two (who had been in prison) and who now bethought him after (so long) a space of time, said: "I will tell you the truth of its interpretation: send ye me (therefore)."
(12:63)

فَلَمَّا  رَجَعُوٓا۟  إِلَىٰٓ  أَبِيهِمْ  قَالُوا۟  يَٰٓأَبَانَا  مُنِعَ  مِنَّا  ٱلْكَيْلُ  فَأَرْسِلْ  مَعَنَآ  أَخَانَا  نَكْتَلْ  وَإِنَّا  لَهُۥ  لَحَٰفِظُونَ fa‑lammā rajaʿū ila abīhim qālū yā‑abānā muniʿa minnā l‑kaylu fa‑arsil maʿanā akhānā naktal wa‑innā lahu la‑ḥāfiẓūna
Now when they returned to their father, they said: "O our father! No more measure of grain shall we get (unless we take our brother): So send our brother with us, that we may get our measure; and we will indeed take every care of him."

Surah 14 Ibrāhīm (Abraham)
(14:9)

أَلَمْ  يَأْتِكُمْ  نَبَؤُا۟  ٱلَّذِينَ  مِن  قَبْلِكُمْ  قَوْمِ  نُوحٍ  وَعَادٍ  وَثَمُودَ  وَٱلَّذِينَ  مِنۢ  بَعْدِهِمْ  لَا  يَعْلَمُهُمْ  إِلَّا  ٱللَّـهُ  جَآءَتْهُمْ  رُسُلُهُم  بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ  فَرَدُّوٓا۟  أَيْدِيَهُمْ  فِىٓ  أَفْوَٰهِهِمْ  وَقَالُوٓا۟  إِنَّا  كَفَرْنَا  بِمَآ  أُرْسِلْتُم  بِهِۦ  وَإِنَّا  لَفِى  شَكٍّ  مِّمَّا  تَدْعُونَنَآ  إِلَيْهِ  مُرِيبٍ a‑lam yatikum nabaʾu lladhīna min qablikum qawmi nūḥin wa‑ʿādin wa‑thamūda wa‑lladhīna min baʿdihim yaʿlamuhum illā allāhu jāʾathum rusuluhum bil‑bayyināti fa‑raddū aydiyahum afwāhihim wa‑qālū innā kafarnā bimā ursiltum bihi wa‑innā la‑fī shakkin mimmā tadʿūnanā ilayhi murībin
Has not the story reached you, (O people!), of those who (went) before you? - of the people of Noah, and 'Ad, and Thamud? - And of those who (came) after them? None knows them but Allah. To them came messengers with Clear (Signs); but they put their hands up to their mouths, and said: "We do deny (the mission) on which ye have been sent, and we are really in suspicious (disquieting) doubt as to that to which ye invite us."

Surah 20 Ṭā Hā (Ta-Ha)
(20:47)

فَأْتِيَاهُ  فَقُولَآ  إِنَّا  رَسُولَا  رَبِّكَ  فَأَرْسِلْ  مَعَنَا  بَنِىٓ  إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ  وَلَا  تُعَذِّبْهُمْ  قَدْ  جِئْنَٰكَ  بِـَٔايَةٍ  مِّن  رَّبِّكَ  وَٱلسَّلَٰمُ  عَلَىٰ  مَنِ  ٱتَّبَعَ  ٱلْهُدَىٰٓ fa‑ʾtiyāhu fa‑qūlā innā rasūlā rabbika fa‑arsil maʿanā banī isrāʾīla wa‑lā tuʿadhdhibhum qad jiʾnāka bi‑āyatin min rabbika wal‑salāmu ʿalā mani ittabaʿa l‑hudā
"So go ye both to him, and say, 'Verily we are messengers sent by thy Lord: Send forth, therefore, the Children of Israel with us, and afflict them not: with a Sign, indeed, have we come from thy Lord! and peace to all who follow guidance!
(20:134)

وَلَوْ  أَنَّآ  أَهْلَكْنَٰهُم  بِعَذَابٍ  مِّن  قَبْلِهِۦ  لَقَالُوا۟  رَبَّنَا  لَوْلَآ  أَرْسَلْتَ  إِلَيْنَا  رَسُولًا  فَنَتَّبِعَ  ءَايَٰتِكَ  مِن  قَبْلِ  أَن  نَّذِلَّ  وَنَخْزَىٰ wa‑law annā ahlaknāhum bi‑ʿadhābin min qablihi la‑qālū rabbanā lawlā arsalta ilaynā rasūlan fa‑nattabiʿa āyātika min qabli an nnadhilla wa‑nakhza
And if We had inflicted on them a penalty before this, they would have said: "Our Lord! If only Thou hadst sent us a messenger, we should certainly have followed Thy Signs before we were humbled and put to shame."

Surah 26 al-Shuʿarā (The Poets)
(26:13)

وَيَضِيقُ  صَدْرِى  وَلَا  يَنطَلِقُ  لِسَانِى  فَأَرْسِلْ  إِلَىٰ  هَٰرُونَ wa‑yaḍīqu ṣadrī wa‑lā yanṭaliqu lisānī fa‑arsil ilā hārūna
"My breast will be straightened. And my speech may not go (smoothly): so send unto Aaron.
(26:17)

أَنْ  أَرْسِلْ  مَعَنَا  بَنِىٓ  إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ an arsil maʿanā banī isrāʾīla
"'Send thou with us the Children of Israel.'"

Surah 28 al-Qaṣaṣ (The Narrative)
(28:34)

وَأَخِى  هَٰرُونُ  هُوَ  أَفْصَحُ  مِنِّى  لِسَانًا  فَأَرْسِلْهُ  مَعِىَ  رِدْءًا  يُصَدِّقُنِىٓ  إِنِّىٓ  أَخَافُ  أَن  يُكَذِّبُونِ wa‑akhī hārūnu huwa afṣaḥu minnī lisānan fa‑arsilhu maʿiya ridʾan yuṣaddiqunī innī akhāfu an yukadhdhibūni
"And my brother Aaron - He is more eloquent in speech than I: so send him with me as a helper, to confirm (and strengthen) me: for I fear that they may accuse me of falsehood."
(28:47)

وَلَوْلَآ  أَن  تُصِيبَهُم  مُّصِيبَةٌۢ  بِمَا  قَدَّمَتْ  أَيْدِيهِمْ  فَيَقُولُوا۟  رَبَّنَا  لَوْلَآ  أَرْسَلْتَ  إِلَيْنَا  رَسُولًا  فَنَتَّبِعَ  ءَايَٰتِكَ  وَنَكُونَ  مِنَ  ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ wa‑lawlā an tuṣībahum muṣībatun bi‑mā qaddamat aydīhim fa‑yaqūlu rabbanā lawlā arsalta ilaynā rasūlan fa‑nattabiʿa āyātika wa‑nakūna mina l‑muʾminīna
If (We had) not (sent thee to the Quraish),- in case a calamity should seize them for (the deeds) that their hands have sent forth, they might say: "Our Lord! why didst Thou not sent us a messenger? We should then have followed Thy Signs and been amongst those who believe!"

Surah 34 Sabaʾ (Sheba)
(34:34)

وَمَآ  أَرْسَلْنَا  فِى  قَرْيَةٍ  مِّن  نَّذِيرٍ  إِلَّا  قَالَ  مُتْرَفُوهَآ  إِنَّا  بِمَآ  أُرْسِلْتُم  بِهِۦ  كَٰفِرُونَ wa‑mā arsalnā qaryatin min nnadhīrin illā qalā mutrafūhā innā bimā ursiltum bihi kāfirūna
Never did We send a warner to a population, but the wealthy ones among them said: "We believe not in the (Message) with which ye have been sent."

Surah 41 Fuṣṣilat (Revelations Well Expounded)
(41:14)

إِذْ  جَآءَتْهُمُ  ٱلرُّسُلُ  مِنۢ  بَيْنِ  أَيْدِيهِمْ  وَمِنْ  خَلْفِهِمْ  أَلَّا  تَعْبُدُوٓا۟  إِلَّا  ٱللَّـهَ  قَالُوا۟  لَوْ  شَآءَ  رَبُّنَا  لَأَنزَلَ  مَلَٰٓئِكَةً  فَإِنَّا  بِمَآ  أُرْسِلْتُم  بِهِۦ  كَٰفِرُونَ idh jāʾathumu l‑rusulu min bayni aydīhim wa‑min khalfihim allā taʿbudū illā allāha qālū law shāʾa rabbunā la‑anzala malāʾikatan fa‑innā bimā ursiltum bihi kāfirūna
Behold, the messengers came to them, from before them and behind them, (preaching): "Serve none but Allah." They said, "If our Lord had so pleased, He would certainly have sent down angels (to preach). Now we reject your mission (altogether)."

Surah 43 al-Zukhruf (The Embellishment)
(43:24)

قَٰلَ  أَوَلَوْ  جِئْتُكُم  بِأَهْدَىٰ  مِمَّا  وَجَدتُّمْ  عَلَيْهِ  ءَابَآءَكُمْ  قَالُوٓا۟  إِنَّا  بِمَآ  أُرْسِلْتُم  بِهِۦ  كَٰفِرُونَ qalā awalaw jiʾtukum biahda mimmā wajadttum ʿalayhi ābāʾakum qālū innā bimā ursiltum bihi kāfirūna
He said: "What! Even if I brought you better guidance than that which ye found your fathers following?" They said: "For us, we deny that ye (prophets) are sent (on a mission at all)."
