Sura al-Baqara 2:26

إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ لَا يَسْتَحْىِۦٓ أَن يَضْرِبَ مَثَلًا مَّا بَعُوضَةً فَمَا فَوْقَهَا فَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ فَيَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّهُ ٱلْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّهِمْ وَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ فَيَقُولُونَ مَاذَآ أَرَادَ ٱللَّـهُ بِهَٰذَا مَثَلًا يُضِلُّ بِهِۦ كَثِيرًا وَيَهْدِى بِهِۦ كَثِيرًا وَمَا يُضِلُّ بِهِۦٓ إِلَّا ٱلْفَٰسِقِينَ

inna allāha lā yastaḥyi an yaḍriba mathalan mā baʿūḍatan fa-mā fawqahā fa-ammā lladhīna āmanū fayaʿlamūna annahu l-ḥaqqu min rabbihim wa-ammā lladhīna kafarū fayaqūlūna mādhā arāda allāhu bi-hādhā mathalan yuḍillu bihi kathīran wa-yahdī bihi kathīran wa-mā yuḍillu bihi illā l-fāsiqīna

Allah disdains not to use the similitude of things, lowest as well as highest. Those who believe know that it is truth from their Lord; but those who reject Faith say: "What means Allah by this similitude?" By it He causes many to stray, and many He leads into the right path; but He causes not to stray, except those who forsake (the path),-

Sura al-Baqara 2:108

أَمْ تُرِيدُونَ أَن تَسْـَٔلُوا۟ رَسُولَكُمْ كَمَا سُئِلَ مُوسَىٰ مِن قَبْلُ وَمَن يَتَبَدَّلِ ٱلْكُفْرَ بِٱلْإِيمَٰنِ فَقَدْ ضَلَّ سَوَآءَ ٱلسَّبِيلِ

am turīdūna an tasʾalū rasūlakum ka-mā suʾila mūsā min qablu wa-man yatabaddali l-kufra bi-l-īmāni fa-qad ḍalla sawāʾa l-sabīli

Would ye question your Messenger as Moses was questioned of old? but whoever changeth from Faith to Unbelief, Hath strayed without doubt from the even way.

Sura al-Baqara 2:185

شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أُنزِلَ فِيهِ ٱلْقُرْءَانُ هُدًى لِّلنَّاسِ وَبَيِّنَٰتٍ مِّنَ ٱلْهُدَىٰ وَٱلْفُرْقَانِ فَمَن شَهِدَ مِنكُمُ ٱلشَّهْرَ فَلْيَصُمْهُ وَمَن كَانَ مَرِيضًا أَوْ عَلَىٰ سَفَرٍ فَعِدَّةٌ مِّنْ أَيَّامٍ أُخَرَ يُرِيدُ ٱللَّـهُ بِكُمُ ٱلْيُسْرَ وَلَا يُرِيدُ بِكُمُ ٱلْعُسْرَ وَلِتُكْمِلُوا۟ ٱلْعِدَّةَ وَلِتُكَبِّرُوا۟ ٱللَّـهَ عَلَىٰ مَا هَدَىٰكُمْ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ

shahru ramaḍāna alladhī unzila fīhi l-qurʾānu hudan lil-nāsi wa-bayyinātin mina l-hudā wa-l-furqāni fa-man shahida minkumu l-shahra fa-l-yaṣumhu wa-man kāna marīḍan aw ʿalā safarin faʿiddatun min ayyāmin ukhara yurīdu allāhu bikumu l-yusra wa-lā yurīdu bikumu l-ʿusra wa-li-tukmilū l-ʿiddata wa-li-tukabbirū allāha ʿalā mā hadākum wa-la-ʿallakum tashkurūna

Ramadhan is the (month) in which was sent down the Qur'an, as a guide to mankind, also clear (Signs) for guidance and judgment (Between right and wrong). So every one of you who is present (at his home) during that month should spend it in fasting, but if any one is ill, or on a journey, the prescribed period (Should be made up) by days later. Allah intends every facility for you; He does not want to put to difficulties. (He wants you) to complete the prescribed period, and to glorify Him in that He has guided you; and perchance ye shall be grateful.

Sura al-Baqara 2:228

وَٱلْمُطَلَّقَٰتُ يَتَرَبَّصْنَ بِأَنفُسِهِنَّ ثَلَٰثَةَ قُرُوٓءٍ وَلَا يَحِلُّ لَهُنَّ أَن يَكْتُمْنَ مَا خَلَقَ ٱللَّـهُ فِىٓ أَرْحَامِهِنَّ إِن كُنَّ يُؤْمِنَّ بِٱللَّـهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْأَخِرِ وَبُعُولَتُهُنَّ أَحَقُّ بِرَدِّهِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ إِنْ أَرَادُوٓا۟ إِصْلَٰحًا وَلَهُنَّ مِثْلُ ٱلَّذِى عَلَيْهِنَّ بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ وَلِلرِّجَالِ عَلَيْهِنَّ دَرَجَةٌ وَٱللَّـهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ

wa-l-muṭallaqātu yatarabbaṣna bi-anfusihinna thalāthata qurūʾin wa-lā yaḥillu la-hunna an yaktumna mā khalaqa allāhu fī arḥāmihinna in kunna yuʾminna billāhi wa-l-yawmi l-akhiri wabuʿūlatuhunna aḥaqqu bi-raddihinna fī dhālika in arādū iṣlāḥan wa-lahunna mithlu alladhī ʿalayhinna bil-maʿrūfi wa-lil-rijāli ʿalayhinna darajatun wallāhu ʿazīzun ḥakīmun

Divorced women shall wait concerning themselves for three monthly periods. Nor is it lawful for them to hide what Allah Hath created in their wombs, if they have faith in Allah and the Last Day. And their husbands have the better right to take them back in that period, if they wish for reconciliation. And women shall have rights similar to the rights against them, according to what is equitable; but men have a degree (of advantage) over them. And Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise.

Sura al-Baqara 2:233

وَٱلْوَٰلِدَٰتُ يُرْضِعْنَ أَوْلَٰدَهُنَّ حَوْلَيْنِ كَامِلَيْنِ لِمَنْ أَرَادَ أَن يُتِمَّ ٱلرَّضَاعَةَ وَعَلَى ٱلْمَوْلُودِ لَهُۥ رِزْقُهُنَّ وَكِسْوَتُهُنَّ بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ لَا تُكَلَّفُ نَفْسٌ إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا لَا تُضَآرَّ وَٰلِدَةٌۢ بِوَلَدِهَا وَلَا مَوْلُودٌ لَّهُۥ بِوَلَدِهِۦ وَعَلَى ٱلْوَارِثِ مِثْلُ ذَٰلِكَ فَإِنْ أَرَادَا فِصَالًا عَن تَرَاضٍ مِّنْهُمَا وَتَشَاوُرٍ فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْهِمَا وَإِنْ أَرَدتُّمْ أَن تَسْتَرْضِعُوٓا۟ أَوْلَٰدَكُمْ فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذَا سَلَّمْتُم مَّآ ءَاتَيْتُم بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّـهَ وَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّـهَ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ

wal-wālidātu yurḍiʿna awlādahunna ḥawlayni kāmilayni liman arāda an yutimma l-raḍāʿata wa-ʿalā l-mawlūdi lahu rizquhunna wa-kiswatuhunna bil-maʿrūfi lā tukallafu nafsun illā wusʿahā lā tuḍārra wālidatun bi-waladihā wa-lā mawlūdun lahu bi-waladihi wa-ʿala l-wārithi mithlu dhālika fa-in arādā fiṣālan ʿan tarāḍin minhumā wa-tashāwurin fa-lā junāḥa ʿalayhimā wa-in aradttum an tastarḍiʿū awlādakum fa-lā junāḥa ʿalaykum idhā sallamtum mā ātaytum bil-maʿrūfi wattaqū allāha wa-iʿlamū annā allāha bi-mā taʿmalūna baṣīrun

The mothers shall give such to their offspring for two whole years, if the father desires to complete the term. But he shall bear the cost of their food and clothing on equitable terms. No soul shall have a burden laid on it greater than it can bear. No mother shall be Treated unfairly on account of her child. Nor father on account of his child, an heir shall be chargeable in the same way. If they both decide on weaning, by mutual consent, and after due consultation, there is no blame on them. If ye decide on a foster-mother for your offspring, there is no blame on you, provided ye pay (the mother) what ye offered, on equitable terms. But fear Allah and know that Allah sees well what ye do.

Sura al-Baqara 2:253

تِلْكَ ٱلرُّسُلُ فَضَّلْنَا بَعْضَهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ مِّنْهُم مَّن كَلَّمَ ٱللَّـهُ وَرَفَعَ بَعْضَهُمْ دَرَجَٰتٍ وَءَاتَيْنَا عِيسَى ٱبْنَ مَرْيَمَ ٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ وَأَيَّدْنَٰهُ بِرُوحِ ٱلْقُدُسِ وَلَوْ شَآءَ ٱللَّـهُ مَا ٱقْتَتَلَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِم مِّنۢ بَعْدِ مَا جَآءَتْهُمُ ٱلْبَيِّنَٰتُ وَلَٰكِنِ ٱخْتَلَفُوا۟ فَمِنْهُم مَّنْ ءَامَنَ وَمِنْهُم مَّن كَفَرَ وَلَوْ شَآءَ ٱللَّـهُ مَا ٱقْتَتَلُوا۟ وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ يَفْعَلُ مَا يُرِيدُ

tilka l-rusulu faḍḍalnā baʿḍahum ʿalā baʿḍin minhum man kallama allāhu wa-rafaʿa baʿḍahum darajātin wa-ātaynā ʿīsā ibna maryama l-bayyināti wa-ayyadnāhu bi-rūḥi l-qudusi wa-law shāʾa allāhu mā qtatala lladhīna min baʿdihim min baʿdi mā jāʾathumu l-bayyinātu wa-lākini akhtalafū fa-minhum man āmana wa-minhum man kafara wa-law shāʾa allāhu mā iqtatalū wa-lākinna allāha yafʿalu mā yurīdu

Those messengers We endowed with gifts, some above others: To one of them Allah spoke; others He raised to degrees (of honour); to Jesus the son of Mary We gave clear (Signs), and strengthened him with the holy spirit. If Allah had so willed, succeeding generations would not have fought among each other, after clear (Signs) had come to them, but they (chose) to wrangle, some believing and others rejecting. If Allah had so willed, they would not have fought each other; but Allah Fulfilleth His plan.

Sura Āl-ʿImrān 3:108

تِلْكَ ءَايَٰتُ ٱللَّـهِ نَتْلُوهَا عَلَيْكَ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَمَا ٱللَّـهُ يُرِيدُ ظُلْمًا لِّلْعَٰلَمِينَ

tilka āyātu allāhi natlūhā ʿalayka bil-ḥaqqi wa-mā allāhu yurīdu ẓulman lil-ʿālamīna

These are the Signs of Allah: We rehearse them to thee in Truth: And Allah means no injustice to any of His creatures.

Sura Āl-ʿImrān 3:145

وَمَا كَانَ لِنَفْسٍ أَن تَمُوتَ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ ٱللَّـهِ كِتَٰبًا مُّؤَجَّلًا وَمَن يُرِدْ ثَوَابَ ٱلدُّنْيَا نُؤْتِهِۦ مِنْهَا وَمَن يُرِدْ ثَوَابَ ٱلْأَخِرَةِ نُؤْتِهِۦ مِنْهَا وَسَنَجْزِى ٱلشَّٰكِرِينَ

wa-mā kāna li-nafsin an tamūta illā bi-idhni allāhi kitāban muajjalan wa-man yurid thawāba l-dunyā nuʾtihi minhā wa-man yurid thawāba l-akhirati nuʾtihi minhā wasanajzī l-shākirīna

Nor can a soul die except by Allah's leave, the term being fixed as by writing. If any do desire a reward in this life, We shall give it to him; and if any do desire a reward in the Hereafter, We shall give it to him. And swiftly shall We reward those that (serve us with) gratitude.

Sura Āl-ʿImrān 3:152

وَلَقَدْ صَدَقَكُمُ ٱللَّـهُ وَعْدَهُۥٓ إِذْ تَحُسُّونَهُم بِإِذْنِهِۦ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا فَشِلْتُمْ وَتَنَٰزَعْتُمْ فِى ٱلْأَمْرِ وَعَصَيْتُم مِّنۢ بَعْدِ مَآ أَرَىٰكُم مَّا تُحِبُّونَ مِنكُم مَّن يُرِيدُ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَمِنكُم مَّن يُرِيدُ ٱلْأَخِرَةَ ثُمَّ صَرَفَكُمْ عَنْهُمْ لِيَبْتَلِيَكُمْ وَلَقَدْ عَفَا عَنكُمْ وَٱللَّـهُ ذُو فَضْلٍ عَلَى ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

wa-la-qad ṣadaqakumu allāhu waʿdahu idh taḥussūnahum bi-idhnihi ḥatta idhā fashiltum wa-tanāzaʿtum fī l-amri wa-ʿaṣaytum min baʿdi mā arākum mā tuḥibbūna minkum man yurīdu l-dunyā wa-minkum man yurīdu l-akhirata thumma ṣarafakum ʿanhum li-yabtaliyakum wa-la-qad ʿafā ʿankum wallāhu dhū faḍlin ʿalā l-muʾminīna

Allah did indeed fulfil His promise to you when ye with His permission Were about to annihilate your enemy,-until ye flinched and fell to disputing about the order, and disobeyed it after He brought you in sight (of the booty) which ye covet. Among you are some that hanker after this world and some that desire the Hereafter. Then did He divert you from your foes in order to test you but He forgave you: For Allah is full of grace to those who believe.

Sura Āl-ʿImrān 3:176

وَلَا يَحْزُنكَ ٱلَّذِينَ يُسَٰرِعُونَ فِى ٱلْكُفْرِ إِنَّهُمْ لَن يَضُرُّوا۟ ٱللَّـهَ شَيْـًٔا يُرِيدُ ٱللَّـهُ أَلَّا يَجْعَلَ لَهُمْ حَظًّا فِى ٱلْأَخِرَةِ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ

wa-lā yaḥzunka lladhīna yusāriʿūna fī l-kufri innahum lan yaḍurrū allāha shayʾan yurīdu allāhu allā yajʿala lahum ḥaẓẓan fī l-akhirati wa-lahum ʿadhābun ʿaẓīmun

Let not those grieve thee who rush headlong into Unbelief: Not the least harm will they do to Allah: Allah's plan is that He will give them no portion in the Hereafter, but a severe punishment.

Sura al-Nisāʾ 4:20

وَإِنْ أَرَدتُّمُ ٱسْتِبْدَالَ زَوْجٍ مَّكَانَ زَوْجٍ وَءَاتَيْتُمْ إِحْدَىٰهُنَّ قِنطَارًا فَلَا تَأْخُذُوا۟ مِنْهُ شَيْـًٔا أَتَأْخُذُونَهُۥ بُهْتَٰنًا وَإِثْمًا مُّبِينًا

wa-in aradttumu istibdāla zawjin makāna zawjin wa-ātaytum iḥdahunna qinṭāran fa-lā takhudhū minhu shayʾan a-taʾkhudhūnahu buhtānan wa-ithman mubīnan

But if ye decide to take one wife in place of another, even if ye had given the latter a whole treasure for dower, Take not the least bit of it back: Would ye take it by slander and manifest wrong?

Sura al-Nisāʾ 4:26

يُرِيدُ ٱللَّـهُ لِيُبَيِّنَ لَكُمْ وَيَهْدِيَكُمْ سُنَنَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ وَيَتُوبَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَٱللَّـهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ

yurīdu allāhu li-yubayyina la-kum wa-yahdiyakum sunana lladhīna min qablikum wa-yatūba ʿalaykum wallāhu ʿalīmun ḥakīmun

Allah doth wish to make clear to you and to show you the ordinances of those before you; and (He doth wish to) turn to you (In Mercy): And Allah is All-knowing, All-wise.

Sura al-Nisāʾ 4:27

وَٱللَّـهُ يُرِيدُ أَن يَتُوبَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَيُرِيدُ ٱلَّذِينَ يَتَّبِعُونَ ٱلشَّهَوَٰتِ أَن تَمِيلُوا۟ مَيْلًا عَظِيمًا

wallāhu yurīdu an yatūba ʿalaykum wa-yurīdu lladhīna yattabiʿūna l-shahawāti an tamīlū maylan ʿaẓīman

Allah doth wish to Turn to you, but the wish of those who follow their lusts is that ye should turn away (from Him),- far, far away.

Sura al-Nisāʾ 4:28

يُرِيدُ ٱللَّـهُ أَن يُخَفِّفَ عَنكُمْ وَخُلِقَ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ ضَعِيفًا

yurīdu allāhu an yukhaffifa ʿankum wa-khuliqa l-insānu ḍaʿīfan

Allah doth wish to lighten your (difficulties): For man was created Weak (in flesh).

Sura al-Nisāʾ 4:35

وَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ شِقَاقَ بَيْنِهِمَا فَٱبْعَثُوا۟ حَكَمًا مِّنْ أَهْلِهِۦ وَحَكَمًا مِّنْ أَهْلِهَآ إِن يُرِيدَآ إِصْلَٰحًا يُوَفِّقِ ٱللَّـهُ بَيْنَهُمَآ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ كَانَ عَلِيمًا خَبِيرًا

wa-in khiftum shiqāqa baynihimā fabʿathū ḥakaman min ahlihi wa-ḥakaman min ahlihā in yurīdā iṣlāḥan yuwaffiqi allāhu baynahumā inna allāha kāna ʿalīman khabīran

If ye fear a breach between them twain, appoint (two) arbiters, one from his family, and the other from hers; if they wish for peace, Allah will cause their reconciliation: For Allah hath full knowledge, and is acquainted with all things.

Sura al-Nisāʾ 4:44

أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ نَصِيبًا مِّنَ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ يَشْتَرُونَ ٱلضَّلَٰلَةَ وَيُرِيدُونَ أَن تَضِلُّوا۟ ٱلسَّبِيلَ

a-lam tara ilā lladhīna ūtū naṣīban mina l-kitābi yashtarūna l-ḍalālata wa-yurīdūna an taḍillū l-sabīla

Hast thou not turned Thy vision to those who were given a portion of the Book? they traffic in error, and wish that ye should lose the right path.

Sura al-Nisāʾ 4:60

أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ يَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّهُمْ ءَامَنُوا۟ بِمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ مِن قَبْلِكَ يُرِيدُونَ أَن يَتَحَاكَمُوٓا۟ إِلَى ٱلطَّٰغُوتِ وَقَدْ أُمِرُوٓا۟ أَن يَكْفُرُوا۟ بِهِۦ وَيُرِيدُ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ أَن يُضِلَّهُمْ ضَلَٰلًۢا بَعِيدًا

a-lam tara ilā lladhīna yazʿumūna annahum āmanū bimā unzila ilayka wa-mā unzila min qablika yurīdūna an yataḥākamū ilā l-ṭāghūti wa-qad umirū an yakfurū bihi wa-yurīdu l-shayṭānu an yuḍillahum ḍalālan baʿīdan

Hast thou not turned Thy vision to those who declare that they believe in the revelations that have come to thee and to those before thee? Their (real) wish is to resort together for judgment (in their disputes) to the Evil One, though they were ordered to reject him. But Satan's wish is to lead them astray far away (from the right).

Sura al-Nisāʾ 4:62

فَكَيْفَ إِذَآ أَصَٰبَتْهُم مُّصِيبَةٌۢ بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ ثُمَّ جَآءُوكَ يَحْلِفُونَ بِٱللَّـهِ إِنْ أَرَدْنَآ إِلَّآ إِحْسَٰنًا وَتَوْفِيقًا

fa-kayfa idhā aṣābathum muṣībatun bi-mā qaddamat aydīhim thumma jāʾūka yaḥlifūna billāhi in aradnā illā iḥsānan wa-tawfīqan

How then, when they are seized by misfortune, because of the deeds which they hands have sent forth? Then their come to thee, swearing by Allah: "We meant no more than good-will and conciliation!"

Sura al-Nisāʾ 4:88

فَمَا لَكُمْ فِى ٱلْمُنَٰفِقِينَ فِئَتَيْنِ وَٱللَّـهُ أَرْكَسَهُم بِمَا كَسَبُوٓا۟ أَتُرِيدُونَ أَن تَهْدُوا۟ مَنْ أَضَلَّ ٱللَّـهُ وَمَن يُضْلِلِ ٱللَّـهُ فَلَن تَجِدَ لَهُۥ سَبِيلًا

fa-mā la-kum fī l-munāfiqīna fiʾatayni wallāhu arkasahum bi-mā kasabū aturīdūna an tahdū man aḍalla allāhu wa-man yuḍlili allāhu fa-lan tajida lahu sabīlan

Why should ye be divided into two parties about the Hypocrites? Allah hath upset them for their (evil) deeds. Would ye guide those whom Allah hath thrown out of the Way? For those whom Allah hath thrown out of the Way, never shalt thou find the Way.

Sura al-Nisāʾ 4:91

سَتَجِدُونَ ءَاخَرِينَ يُرِيدُونَ أَن يَأْمَنُوكُمْ وَيَأْمَنُوا۟ قَوْمَهُمْ كُلَّ مَا رُدُّوٓا۟ إِلَى ٱلْفِتْنَةِ أُرْكِسُوا۟ فِيهَا فَإِن لَّمْ يَعْتَزِلُوكُمْ وَيُلْقُوٓا۟ إِلَيْكُمُ ٱلسَّلَمَ وَيَكُفُّوٓا۟ أَيْدِيَهُمْ فَخُذُوهُمْ وَٱقْتُلُوهُمْ حَيْثُ ثَقِفْتُمُوهُمْ وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكُمْ جَعَلْنَا لَكُمْ عَلَيْهِمْ سُلْطَٰنًا مُّبِينًا

sa-tajidūna ākharīna yurīdūna an yaʾmanūkum wa-yaʾmanū qawmahum kulla mā ruddū ilā l-fitnati urkisū fīhā fa-in lam yaʿtazilūkum wa-yulqū ilaykumu l-salama wa-yakuffū aydiyahum fa-khudhūhum wa-aqtulūhum ḥaythu thaqiftumūhum wa-ūlāʾikum jaʿalnā la-kum ʿalayhim sulṭānan mubīnan

Others you will find that wish to gain your confidence as well as that of their people: Every time they are sent back to temptation, they succumb thereto: if they withdraw not from you nor give you (guarantees) of peace besides restraining their hands, seize them and slay them wherever ye get them: In their case We have provided you with a clear argument against them.

Sura al-Nisāʾ 4:134

مَّن كَانَ يُرِيدُ ثَوَابَ ٱلدُّنْيَا فَعِندَ ٱللَّـهِ ثَوَابُ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلْأَخِرَةِ وَكَانَ ٱللَّـهُ سَمِيعًۢا بَصِيرًا

man kāna yurīdu thawāba l-dunyā fa-ʿinda allāhi thawābu l-dunyā wa-l-akhirati wa-kāna allāhu samīʿan baṣīran

If any one desires a reward in this life, in Allah's (gift) is the reward (both) of this life and of the hereafter: for Allah is He that heareth and seeth (all things).

Sura al-Nisāʾ 4:144

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَتَّخِذُوا۟ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ أَوْلِيَآءَ مِن دُونِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَتُرِيدُونَ أَن تَجْعَلُوا۟ لِلَّـهِ عَلَيْكُمْ سُلْطَٰنًا مُّبِينًا

yā-ayyuhā lladhīna āmanū lā tattakhidhū l-kāfirīna awliyāʾa min dūni l-muʾminīna aturīdūna an tajʿalū lillāhi ʿalaykum sulṭānan mubīnan

O ye who believe! Take not for friends unbelievers rather than believers: Do ye wish to offer Allah an open proof against yourselves?

Sura al-Nisāʾ 4:150

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَكْفُرُونَ بِٱللَّـهِ وَرُسُلِهِۦ وَيُرِيدُونَ أَن يُفَرِّقُوا۟ بَيْنَ ٱللَّـهِ وَرُسُلِهِۦ وَيَقُولُونَ نُؤْمِنُ بِبَعْضٍ وَنَكْفُرُ بِبَعْضٍ وَيُرِيدُونَ أَن يَتَّخِذُوا۟ بَيْنَ ذَٰلِكَ سَبِيلًا

inna lladhīna yakfurūna billāhi wa-rusulihi wa-yurīdūna an yufarriqū bayna allāhi wa-rusulihi wa-yaqūlūna nuʾminu bi-baʿḍin wa-nakfuru bi-baʿḍin wa-yurīdūna an yattakhidhū bayna dhālika sabīlan

Those who deny Allah and His messengers, and (those who) wish to separate Allah from His messengers, saying: "We believe in some but reject others": And (those who) wish to take a course midway,-

Sura al-Māʾidah 5:1

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ أَوْفُوا۟ بِٱلْعُقُودِ أُحِلَّتْ لَكُم بَهِيمَةُ ٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ إِلَّا مَا يُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ غَيْرَ مُحِلِّى ٱلصَّيْدِ وَأَنتُمْ حُرُمٌ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ يَحْكُمُ مَا يُرِيدُ

yā-ayyuhā lladhīna āmanū awfū bil-ʿuqūdi uḥillat la-kum bahīmatu l-anʿāmi illā mā yutlā ʿalaykum ghayra muḥillī l-ṣaydi wa-antum ḥurumun inna allāha yaḥkumu mā yurīdu

O ye who believe! fulfil (all) obligations. Lawful unto you (for food) are all four-footed animals, with the exceptions named: But animals of the chase are forbidden while ye are in the sacred precincts or in pilgrim garb: for Allah doth command according to His will and plan.

Sura al-Māʾidah 5:6

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ إِذَا قُمْتُمْ إِلَى ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ فَٱغْسِلُوا۟ وُجُوهَكُمْ وَأَيْدِيَكُمْ إِلَى ٱلْمَرَافِقِ وَٱمْسَحُوا۟ بِرُءُوسِكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُمْ إِلَى ٱلْكَعْبَيْنِ وَإِن كُنتُمْ جُنُبًا فَٱطَّهَّرُوا۟ وَإِن كُنتُم مَّرْضَىٰٓ أَوْ عَلَىٰ سَفَرٍ أَوْ جَآءَ أَحَدٌ مِّنكُم مِّنَ ٱلْغَآئِطِ أَوْ لَٰمَسْتُمُ ٱلنِّسَآءَ فَلَمْ تَجِدُوا۟ مَآءً فَتَيَمَّمُوا۟ صَعِيدًا طَيِّبًا فَٱمْسَحُوا۟ بِوُجُوهِكُمْ وَأَيْدِيكُم مِّنْهُ مَا يُرِيدُ ٱللَّـهُ لِيَجْعَلَ عَلَيْكُم مِّنْ حَرَجٍ وَلَٰكِن يُرِيدُ لِيُطَهِّرَكُمْ وَلِيُتِمَّ نِعْمَتَهُۥ عَلَيْكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ

yā-ayyuhā lladhīna āmanū idhā qumtum ilā l-ṣalawti fa-ighsilū wujūhakum wa-aydiyakum ilā l-marāfiqi wa-amsaḥū biruūsikum wa-arjulakum ilā l-kaʿbayni wa-in kuntum junuban faṭṭahharū wa-in kuntum marḍā aw ʿalā safarin aw jāa aḥadun minkum mina l-ghāʾiṭi aw lāmastumu l-nisāʾa fa-lam tajidū māʾan fa-tayammamū ṣaʿīdan ṭayyiban fa-amsaḥū biwujūhikum wa-aydīkum minhu mā yurīdu allāhu li-yajʿala ʿalaykum min ḥarajin wa-lākin yurīdu li-yuṭahhirakum wa-li-yutimma niʿmatahu ʿalaykum la-ʿallakum tashkurūna

O ye who believe! when ye prepare for prayer, wash your faces, and your hands (and arms) to the elbows; Rub your heads (with water); and (wash) your feet to the ankles. If ye are in a state of ceremonial impurity, bathe your whole body. But if ye are ill, or on a journey, or one of you cometh from offices of nature, or ye have been in contact with women, and ye find no water, then take for yourselves clean sand or earth, and rub therewith your faces and hands, Allah doth not wish to place you in a difficulty, but to make you clean, and to complete his favour to you, that ye may be grateful.

Sura al-Māʾidah 5:17

لَّقَدْ كَفَرَ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ هُوَ ٱلْمَسِيحُ ٱبْنُ مَرْيَمَ قُلْ فَمَن يَمْلِكُ مِنَ ٱللَّـهِ شَيْـًٔا إِنْ أَرَادَ أَن يُهْلِكَ ٱلْمَسِيحَ ٱبْنَ مَرْيَمَ وَأُمَّهُۥ وَمَن فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًا وَلِلَّەِ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَآءُ وَٱللَّـهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

llaqad kafara lladhīna qālū inna allāha huwa l-masīḥu ibnu maryama qul fa-man yamliku mina allāhi shayʾan in arāda an yuhlika l-masīḥa ibna maryama wa-ummahu wa-man fī l-arḍi jamīʿan wa-lillahi mulku l-samāwāti wa-l-arḍi wa-mā baynahumā yakhluqu mā yashāʾu wallāhu ʿalā kulli shayʾin qadīrun

In blasphemy indeed are those that say that Allah is Christ the son of Mary. Say: "Who then hath the least power against Allah, if His will were to destroy Christ the son of Mary, his mother, and all every - one that is on the earth? For to Allah belongeth the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between. He createth what He pleaseth. For Allah hath power over all things."

Sura al-Māʾidah 5:29

إِنِّىٓ أُرِيدُ أَن تَبُوٓأَ بِإِثْمِى وَإِثْمِكَ فَتَكُونَ مِنْ أَصْحَٰبِ ٱلنَّارِ وَذَٰلِكَ جَزَٰٓؤُا۟ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

innī urīdu an tabūʾa biithmī waithmika fa-takūna min aṣḥābi l-nāri wa-dhālika jazāʾu l-ẓālimīna

"For me, I intend to let thee draw on thyself my sin as well as thine, for thou wilt be among the companions of the fire, and that is the reward of those who do wrong."

Sura al-Māʾidah 5:37

يُرِيدُونَ أَن يَخْرُجُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلنَّارِ وَمَا هُم بِخَٰرِجِينَ مِنْهَا وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مُّقِيمٌ

yurīdūna an yakhrujū mina l-nāri wa-mā hum bi-khārijīna minhā wa-lahum ʿadhābun muqīmun

Their wish will be to get out of the Fire, but never will they get out therefrom: their penalty will be one that endures.

Sura al-Māʾidah 5:41

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلرَّسُولُ لَا يَحْزُنكَ ٱلَّذِينَ يُسَٰرِعُونَ فِى ٱلْكُفْرِ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوٓا۟ ءَامَنَّا بِأَفْوَٰهِهِمْ وَلَمْ تُؤْمِن قُلُوبُهُمْ وَمِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ هَادُوا۟ سَمَّٰعُونَ لِلْكَذِبِ سَمَّٰعُونَ لِقَوْمٍ ءَاخَرِينَ لَمْ يَأْتُوكَ يُحَرِّفُونَ ٱلْكَلِمَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَوَاضِعِهِۦ يَقُولُونَ إِنْ أُوتِيتُمْ هَٰذَا فَخُذُوهُ وَإِن لَّمْ تُؤْتَوْهُ فَٱحْذَرُوا۟ وَمَن يُرِدِ ٱللَّـهُ فِتْنَتَهُۥ فَلَن تَمْلِكَ لَهُۥ مِنَ ٱللَّـهِ شَيْـًٔا أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَمْ يُرِدِ ٱللَّـهُ أَن يُطَهِّرَ قُلُوبَهُمْ لَهُمْ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا خِزْىٌ وَلَهُمْ فِى ٱلْأَخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ

yā-ayyuhā l-rasūlu lā yaḥzunka lladhīna yusāriʿūna fī l-kufri mina lladhīna qālū āmannā bi-afwāhihim wa-lam tuʾmin qulūbuhum wa-mina lladhīna hādū sammāʿūna lil-kadhibi sammāʿūna li-qawmin ākharīna lam yaʾtūka yuḥarrifūna l-kalima min baʿdi mawāḍiʿihi yaqūlūna in ūtītum hādhā fakhudhūhu wa-in lam tutawhu faḥdharū wa-man yuridi allāhu fitnatahu fa-lan tamlika lahu mina allāhi shayʾan ulāʾika lladhīna lam yuridi allāhu an yuṭahhira qulūbahum lahum fī l-dunyā khizun wa-lahum fī l-akhirati ʿadhābun ʿaẓīmun

O Messenger! let not those grieve thee, who race each other into unbelief: (whether it be) among those who say "We believe" with their lips but whose hearts have no faith; or it be among the Jews,- men who will listen to any lie,- will listen even to others who have never so much as come to thee. They change the words from their (right) times and places: they say, "If ye are given this, take it, but if not, beware!" If any one's trial is intended by Allah, thou hast no authority in the least for him against Allah. For such - it is not Allah's will to purify their hearts. For them there is disgrace in this world, and in the Hereafter a heavy punishment.

Sura al-Māʾidah 5:49

وَأَنِ ٱحْكُم بَيْنَهُم بِمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّـهُ وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَآءَهُمْ وَٱحْذَرْهُمْ أَن يَفْتِنُوكَ عَنۢ بَعْضِ مَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّـهُ إِلَيْكَ فَإِن تَوَلَّوْا۟ فَٱعْلَمْ أَنَّمَا يُرِيدُ ٱللَّـهُ أَن يُصِيبَهُم بِبَعْضِ ذُنُوبِهِمْ وَإِنَّ كَثِيرًا مِّنَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَفَٰسِقُونَ

wa-ani aḥkum baynahum bimā anzala allāhu wa-lā tattabiʿ ahwāʾahum wa-aḥdharhum an yaftinūka ʿan baʿḍi mā anzala allāhu ilayka fa-in tawallaw fa-iʿlam annamā yurīdu allāhu an yuṣībahum bi-baʿḍi dhunūbihim wa-inna kathīran mina l-nāsi lafāsiqūna

And this (He commands): Judge thou between them by what Allah hath revealed, and follow not their vain desires, but beware of them lest they beguile thee from any of that (teaching) which Allah hath sent down to thee. And if they turn away, be assured that for some of their crime it is Allah's purpose to punish them. And truly most men are rebellious.

Sura al-Māʾidah 5:91

إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ أَن يُوقِعَ بَيْنَكُمُ ٱلْعَدَٰوَةَ وَٱلْبَغْضَآءَ فِى ٱلْخَمْرِ وَٱلْمَيْسِرِ وَيَصُدَّكُمْ عَن ذِكْرِ ٱللَّـهِ وَعَنِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ فَهَلْ أَنتُم مُّنتَهُونَ

innamā yurīdu l-shayṭānu an yūqiʿa baynakumu l-ʿadāwata wa-l-baghḍāʾa fī l-khamri wa-l-maysiri wa-yaṣuddakum ʿan dhikri allāhi wa-ʿani l-ṣalawti fa-hal antum muntahūna

Satan's plan is (but) to excite enmity and hatred between you, with intoxicants and gambling, and hinder you from the remembrance of Allah, and from prayer: will ye not then abstain?

Sura al-Māʾidah 5:113

قَالُوا۟ نُرِيدُ أَن نَّأْكُلَ مِنْهَا وَتَطْمَئِنَّ قُلُوبُنَا وَنَعْلَمَ أَن قَدْ صَدَقْتَنَا وَنَكُونَ عَلَيْهَا مِنَ ٱلشَّٰهِدِينَ

qālū nurīdu an nnakula minhā wa-taṭmaʾinna qulūbunā wa-naʿlama an qad ṣadaqtanā wa-nakūna ʿalayhā mina l-shāhidīna

They said: "We only wish to eat thereof and satisfy our hearts, and to know that thou hast indeed told us the truth; and that we ourselves may be witnesses to the miracle."

Sura al-Anʿām 6:52

وَلَا تَطْرُدِ ٱلَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ رَبَّهُم بِٱلْغَدَوٰةِ وَٱلْعَشِىِّ يُرِيدُونَ وَجْهَهُۥ مَا عَلَيْكَ مِنْ حِسَابِهِم مِّن شَىْءٍ وَمَا مِنْ حِسَابِكَ عَلَيْهِم مِّن شَىْءٍ فَتَطْرُدَهُمْ فَتَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

wa-lā taṭrudi lladhīna yadʿūna rabbahum bil-ghadāti wa-l-ʿashiyyi yurīdūna wajhahu mā ʿalayka min ḥisābihim min shayʾin wa-mā min ḥisābika ʿalayhim min shayʾin fa-taṭrudahum fa-takūna mina l-ẓālimīna

Send not away those who call on their Lord morning and evening, seeking His face. In naught art thou accountable for them, and in naught are they accountable for thee, that thou shouldst turn them away, and thus be (one) of the unjust.

Sura al-Anʿām 6:125

فَمَن يُرِدِ ٱللَّـهُ أَن يَهْدِيَهُۥ يَشْرَحْ صَدْرَهُۥ لِلْإِسْلَٰمِ وَمَن يُرِدْ أَن يُضِلَّهُۥ يَجْعَلْ صَدْرَهُۥ ضَيِّقًا حَرَجًا كَأَنَّمَا يَصَّعَّدُ فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ كَذَٰلِكَ يَجْعَلُ ٱللَّـهُ ٱلرِّجْسَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ

fa-man yuridi allāhu an yahdiyahu yashraḥ ṣadrahu lil-islāmi wa-man yurid an yuḍillahu yajʿal ṣadrahu ḍayyiqan ḥarajan ka-annamā yaṣṣaʿʿadu fī l-samāʾi ka-dhālika yajʿalu allāhu l-rijsa ʿalā lladhīna lā yuʾminūna

Those whom Allah (in His plan) willeth to guide,- He openeth their breast to Islam; those whom He willeth to leave straying,- He maketh their breast close and constricted, as if they had to climb up to the skies: thus doth Allah (heap) the penalty on those who refuse to believe.

Sura al-Aʿrāf 7:110

يُرِيدُ أَن يُخْرِجَكُم مِّنْ أَرْضِكُمْ فَمَاذَا تَأْمُرُونَ

yurīdu an yukhrijakum min arḍikum fa-mādhā taʾmurūna

"His plan is to get you out of your land: then what is it ye counsel?"

Sura al-Anfāl 8:7

وَإِذْ يَعِدُكُمُ ٱللَّـهُ إِحْدَى ٱلطَّآئِفَتَيْنِ أَنَّهَا لَكُمْ وَتَوَدُّونَ أَنَّ غَيْرَ ذَاتِ ٱلشَّوْكَةِ تَكُونُ لَكُمْ وَيُرِيدُ ٱللَّـهُ أَن يُحِقَّ ٱلْحَقَّ بِكَلِمَٰتِهِۦ وَيَقْطَعَ دَابِرَ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ

wa-idh yaʿidukumu allāhu iḥda l-ṭāʾifatayni annahā la-kum wa-tawaddūna annā ghayra dhāti l-shawkati takūnu la-kum wa-yurīdu allāhu an yuḥiqqa l-ḥaqqa bi-kalimātihi wa-yaqṭaʿa dābira l-kāfirīna

Behold! Allah promised you one of the two (enemy) parties, that it should be yours: Ye wished that the one unarmed should be yours, but Allah willed to justify the Truth according to His words and to cut off the roots of the Unbelievers;-

Sura al-Anfāl 8:62

وَإِن يُرِيدُوٓا۟ أَن يَخْدَعُوكَ فَإِنَّ حَسْبَكَ ٱللَّـهُ هُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَيَّدَكَ بِنَصْرِهِۦ وَبِٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

wa-in yurīdū an yakhdaʿūka fa-inna ḥasbaka allāhu huwa alladhī ayyadaka binaṣrihi wa-bil-muminīna

Should they intend to deceive thee,- verily Allah sufficeth thee: He it is That hath strengthened thee with His aid and with (the company of) the Believers;

Sura al-Anfāl 8:67

مَا كَانَ لِنَبِىٍّ أَن يَكُونَ لَهُۥٓ أَسْرَىٰ حَتَّىٰ يُثْخِنَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ تُرِيدُونَ عَرَضَ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱللَّـهُ يُرِيدُ ٱلْأَخِرَةَ وَٱللَّـهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ

mā kāna li-nabiyyin an yakūna lahu asra ḥattā yuthkhina fī l-arḍi turīdūna ʿaraḍa l-dunyā wallāhu yurīdu l-akhirata wallāhu ʿazīzun ḥakīmun

It is not fitting for a prophet that he should have prisoners of war until he hath thoroughly subdued the land. Ye look for the temporal goods of this world; but Allah looketh to the Hereafter: And Allah is Exalted in might, Wise.

Sura al-Anfāl 8:71

وَإِن يُرِيدُوا۟ خِيَانَتَكَ فَقَدْ خَانُوا۟ ٱللَّـهَ مِن قَبْلُ فَأَمْكَنَ مِنْهُمْ وَٱللَّـهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ

wa-in yurīdū khīānataka fa-qad khānū allāha min qablu faamkana minhum wallāhu ʿalīmun ḥakīmun

But if they have treacherous designs against thee, (O Messenger!), they have already been in treason against Allah, and so hath He given (thee) power over them. And Allah so He Who hath (full) knowledge and wisdom.

Sura al-Tawbah 9:32

يُرِيدُونَ أَن يُطْفِـُٔوا۟ نُورَ ٱللَّـهِ بِأَفْوَٰهِهِمْ وَيَأْبَى ٱللَّـهُ إِلَّآ أَن يُتِمَّ نُورَهُۥ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ

yurīdūna an yuṭfiʾū nūra allāhi bi-afwāhihim wa-yaʾbā allāhu illā an yutimma nūrahu wa-law kariha l-kāfirūna

Fain would they extinguish Allah's light with their mouths, but Allah will not allow but that His light should be perfected, even though the Unbelievers may detest (it).

Sura al-Tawbah 9:46

وَلَوْ أَرَادُوا۟ ٱلْخُرُوجَ لَأَعَدُّوا۟ لَهُۥ عُدَّةً وَلَٰكِن كَرِهَ ٱللَّـهُ ٱنۢبِعَاثَهُمْ فَثَبَّطَهُمْ وَقِيلَ ٱقْعُدُوا۟ مَعَ ٱلْقَٰعِدِينَ

wa-law arādū l-khurūja la-aʿaddū lahu ʿuddatan wa-lākin kariha allāhu inbiʿāthahum fa-thabbaṭahum wa-qīla iqʿudū maʿa l-qāʿidīna

If they had intended to come out, they would certainly have made some preparation therefor; but Allah was averse to their being sent forth; so He made them lag behind, and they were told, "Sit ye among those who sit (inactive)."

Sura al-Tawbah 9:55

فَلَا تُعْجِبْكَ أَمْوَٰلُهُمْ وَلَآ أَوْلَٰدُهُمْ إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ ٱللَّـهُ لِيُعَذِّبَهُم بِهَا فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَتَزْهَقَ أَنفُسُهُمْ وَهُمْ كَٰفِرُونَ

fa-lā tuʿjibka amwāluhum wa-lā awlāduhum innamā yurīdu allāhu līuʿadhdhibahum bihā fī l-ḥayāti l-dunyā wa-tazhaqa anfusuhum wa-hum kāfirūna

Let not their wealth nor their (following in) sons dazzle thee: in reality Allah's plan is to punish them with these things in this life, and that their souls may perish in their (very) denial of Allah.

Sura al-Tawbah 9:85

وَلَا تُعْجِبْكَ أَمْوَٰلُهُمْ وَأَوْلَٰدُهُمْ إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ ٱللَّـهُ أَن يُعَذِّبَهُم بِهَا فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا وَتَزْهَقَ أَنفُسُهُمْ وَهُمْ كَٰفِرُونَ

wa-lā tuʿjibka amwāluhum wa-awlāduhum innamā yurīdu allāhu an yuʿadhdhibahum bihā fī l-dunyā wa-tazhaqa anfusuhum wa-hum kāfirūna

Nor let their wealth nor their (following in) sons dazzle thee: Allah's plan is to punish them with these things in this world, and that their souls may perish in their (very) denial of Allah.

Sura al-Tawbah 9:107

وَٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ مَسْجِدًا ضِرَارًا وَكُفْرًا وَتَفْرِيقًۢا بَيْنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَإِرْصَادًا لِّمَنْ حَارَبَ ٱللَّـهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ مِن قَبْلُ وَلَيَحْلِفُنَّ إِنْ أَرَدْنَآ إِلَّا ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ وَٱللَّـهُ يَشْهَدُ إِنَّهُمْ لَكَٰذِبُونَ

wa-lladhīna ittakhadhū masjidan ḍirāran wa-kufran wa-tafrīqan bayna l-muʾminīna wa-irṣādan li-man ḥāraba allāha wa-rasūlahu min qablu wa-la-yaḥlifunna in aradnā illā l-ḥusnā wallāhu yashhadu innahum la-kādhibūna

And there are those who put up a mosque by way of mischief and infidelity - to disunite the Believers - and in preparation for one who warred against Allah and His Messenger aforetime. They will indeed swear that their intention is nothing but good; But Allah doth declare that they are certainly liars.

Sura Yūnus 10:107

وَإِن يَمْسَسْكَ ٱللَّـهُ بِضُرٍّ فَلَا كَاشِفَ لَهُۥٓ إِلَّا هُوَ وَإِن يُرِدْكَ بِخَيْرٍ فَلَا رَآدَّ لِفَضْلِهِۦ يُصِيبُ بِهِۦ مَن يَشَآءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِۦ وَهُوَ ٱلْغَفُورُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ

wa-in yamsaska allāhu bi-ḍurrin fa-lā kāshifa lahu illā huwa wa-in yuridka bi-khayrin fa-lā rādda lifaḍlihi yuṣību bihi man yashāʾu min ʿibādihi wa-huwa l-ghafūru l-raḥīmu

If Allah do touch thee with hurt, there is none can remove it but He: if He do design some benefit for thee, there is none can keep back His favour: He causeth it to reach whomsoever of His servants He pleaseth. And He is the Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Sura Hūd 11:15

مَن كَانَ يُرِيدُ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَزِينَتَهَا نُوَفِّ إِلَيْهِمْ أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ فِيهَا وَهُمْ فِيهَا لَا يُبْخَسُونَ

man kāna yurīdu l-ḥayāta l-dunyā wa-zīnatahā nuwaffi ilayhim aʿmālahum fīhā wa-hum fīhā lā yubkhasūna

Those who desire the life of the present and its glitter,- to them we shall pay (the price of) their deeds therein,- without diminution.

Sura Hūd 11:34

وَلَا يَنفَعُكُمْ نُصْحِىٓ إِنْ أَرَدتُّ أَنْ أَنصَحَ لَكُمْ إِن كَانَ ٱللَّـهُ يُرِيدُ أَن يُغْوِيَكُمْ هُوَ رَبُّكُمْ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ

wa-lā yanfaʿukum nuṣḥī in aradttu an anṣaḥa la-kum in kāna allāhu yurīdu an yughwiyakum huwa rabbukum wa-ilayhi turjaʿūna

"Of no profit will be my counsel to you, much as I desire to give you (good) counsel, if it be that Allah willeth to leave you astray: He is your Lord! and to Him will ye return!"

Sura Hūd 11:79

قَالُوا۟ لَقَدْ عَلِمْتَ مَا لَنَا فِى بَنَاتِكَ مِنْ حَقٍّ وَإِنَّكَ لَتَعْلَمُ مَا نُرِيدُ

qālū la-qad ʿalimta mā la-nā fī banātika min ḥaqqin wainnaka lataʿlamu mā nurīdu

They said: "Well dost thou know we have no need of thy daughters: indeed thou knowest quite well what we want!"

Sura Hūd 11:88

قَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ أَرَءَيْتُمْ إِن كُنتُ عَلَىٰ بَيِّنَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّى وَرَزَقَنِى مِنْهُ رِزْقًا حَسَنًا وَمَآ أُرِيدُ أَنْ أُخَالِفَكُمْ إِلَىٰ مَآ أَنْهَىٰكُمْ عَنْهُ إِنْ أُرِيدُ إِلَّا ٱلْإِصْلَٰحَ مَا ٱسْتَطَعْتُ وَمَا تَوْفِيقِىٓ إِلَّا بِٱللَّـهِ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَإِلَيْهِ أُنِيبُ

qalā yā-qawmi a-raʾaytum in kuntu ʿalā bayyinatin min rrabbī wa-razaqanī minhu rizqan ḥasanan wa-mā urīdu an ukhālifakum ilā mā anhakum ʿanhu in urīdu illā l-iṣlāḥa mā istaṭaʿtu wa-mā tawfīqī illā billāhi ʿalayhi tawakkaltu wa-ilayhi unību

He said: "O my people! see ye whether I have a Clear (Sign) from my Lord, and He hath given me sustenance (pure and) good as from Himself? I wish not, in opposition to you, to do that which I forbid you to do. I only desire (your) betterment to the best of my power; and my success (in my task) can only come from Allah. In Him I trust, and unto Him I look.

Sura Hūd 11:107

خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا مَا دَامَتِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتُ وَٱلْأَرْضُ إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ رَبُّكَ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ فَعَّالٌ لِّمَا يُرِيدُ

khālidīna fīhā mā dāmati l-samāwātu wa-l-arḍu illā mā shāʾa rabbuka inna rabbaka faʿʿālun li-mā yurīdu

They will dwell therein for all the time that the heavens and the earth endure, except as thy Lord willeth: for thy Lord is the (sure) accomplisher of what He planneth.
