(2:151)

Those who conceal Allah's revelations in the Book, and purchase for them a miserable profit,- they swallow into themselves naught but Fire; Allah will not address them on the Day of Resurrection. Nor purify them: Grievous will be their penalty.

Surah 3 Āl-ʿImrān (The Family of Imran)

As for those who sell the faith they owe to Allah and their own plighted word for a small price, they shall have no portion in the Hereafter: Nor will Allah (Deign to) speak to them or look at them on the Day of Judgment, nor will He cleans them (of sin): They shall have a grievous penalty.
(3:164)

لَقَدْ  مَنَّ  ٱللَّـهُ  عَلَى  ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ  إِذْ  بَعَثَ  فِيهِمْ  رَسُولًا  مِّنْ  أَنفُسِهِمْ  يَتْلُوا۟  عَلَيْهِمْ  ءَايَٰتِهِۦ  وَيُزَكِّيهِمْ  وَيُعَلِّمُهُمُ  ٱلْكِتَٰبَ  وَٱلْحِكْمَةَ  وَإِن  كَانُوا۟  مِن  قَبْلُ  لَفِى  ضَلَٰلٍ  مُّبِينٍ la‑qad manna allāhu ʿalā l‑muʾminīna idh baʿatha fīhim rasūlan min anfusihim yatlū ʿalayhim āyātihi wa‑yuzakkīhim wa‑yuʿallimuhumu l‑kitāba wa‑l‑ḥikmata wa‑in kānū min qablu la‑fī ḍalālin mubīnin

Hast thou not turned Thy vision to those who claim sanctity for themselves? Nay-but Allah Doth sanctify whom He pleaseth. But never will they fail to receive justice in the least little thing.

Gardens of Eternity, beneath which flow rivers: they will dwell therein for aye: such is the reward of those who purify themselves (from evil).

Surah 24 al-Nūr (The Light)
(24:21)

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا  ٱلَّذِينَ  ءَامَنُوا۟  لَا  تَتَّبِعُوا۟  خُطُوَٰتِ  ٱلشَّيْطَٰنِ  وَمَن  يَتَّبِعْ  خُطُوَٰتِ  ٱلشَّيْطَٰنِ  فَإِنَّهُۥ  يَأْمُرُ  بِٱلْفَحْشَآءِ  وَٱلْمُنكَرِ  وَلَوْلَا  فَضْلُ  ٱللَّـهِ  عَلَيْكُمْ  وَرَحْمَتُهُۥ  مَا  زَكَىٰ  مِنكُم  مِّنْ  أَحَدٍ  أَبَدًا  وَلَٰكِنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  يُزَكِّى  مَن  يَشَآءُ  وَٱللَّـهُ  سَمِيعٌ  عَلِيمٌ yā‑ayyuhā lladhīna āmanū tattabiʿū khuṭuwāti l‑shayṭāni wa‑man yattabiʿ khuṭuwāti l‑shayṭāni fa‑innahu yaʾmuru bil‑faḥshāʾi wa‑l‑munkari wa‑lawlā faḍlu allāhi ʿalaykum wa‑raḥmatuhu zaka minkum min aḥadin abadan wa‑lākinna allāha yuzakkī man yashāʾu wallāhu samīʿun ʿalīmun
O ye who believe! follow not Satan's footsteps: if any will follow the footsteps of Satan, he will (but) command what is shameful and wrong: and were it not for the grace and mercy of Allah on you, not one of you would ever have been pure: but Allah doth purify whom He pleases: and Allah is One Who hears and knows (all things).

Surah 35 al-Faṭīr (The Creator)

وَلَا  تَزِرُ  وَازِرَةٌ  وِزْرَ  أُخْرَىٰ  وَإِن  تَدْعُ  مُثْقَلَةٌ  إِلَىٰ  حِمْلِهَا  لَا  يُحْمَلْ  مِنْهُ  شَىْءٌ  وَلَوْ  كَانَ  ذَا  قُرْبَىٰٓ  إِنَّمَا  تُنذِرُ  ٱلَّذِينَ  يَخْشَوْنَ  رَبَّهُم  بِٱلْغَيْبِ  وَأَقَامُوا۟  ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ  وَمَن  تَزَكَّىٰ  فَإِنَّمَا  يَتَزَكَّىٰ  لِنَفْسِهِۦ  وَإِلَى  ٱللَّـهِ  ٱلْمَصِيرُ wa‑lā taziru wāziratun wizra ukhrā wa‑in tadʿu muthqalatun ilā ḥimlihā yuḥmal minhu shayʾun wa‑law kāna dhā qurba innamā tundhiru lladhīna yakhshawna rabbahum bil‑ghaybi wa‑aqāmū l‑ṣalāta wa‑man tazakkā fa‑innamā yatazakka li‑nafsihi wa‑ilā allāhi l‑maṣīru
Nor can a bearer of burdens bear another's burdens if one heavily laden should call another to (bear) his load. Not the least portion of it can be carried (by the other). Even though he be nearly related. Thou canst but admonish such as fear their Lord unseen and establish regular Prayer. And whoever purifies himself does so for the benefit of his own soul; and the destination (of all) is to Allah.
