Sura al-Baqara 2:30

وَإِذْ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ إِنِّى جَاعِلٌ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ خَلِيفَةً قَالُوٓا۟ أَتَجْعَلُ فِيهَا مَن يُفْسِدُ فِيهَا وَيَسْفِكُ ٱلدِّمَآءَ وَنَحْنُ نُسَبِّحُ بِحَمْدِكَ وَنُقَدِّسُ لَكَ قَالَ إِنِّىٓ أَعْلَمُ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ

wa-idh qalā rabbuka lil-malāʾikati innī jāʿilun fī l-arḍi khalīfatan qālū atajʿalu fīhā man yufsidu fīhā wa-yasfiku l-dimāʾa wa-naḥnu nusabbiḥu biḥamdika wa-nuqaddisu la-ka qalā innī aʿlamu mā lā taʿlamūna

Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: "I will create a vicegerent on earth." They said: "Wilt Thou place therein one who will make mischief therein and shed blood?- whilst we do celebrate Thy praises and glorify Thy holy (name)?" He said: "I know what ye know not."

Sura al-Aʿrāf 7:206

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ عِندَ رَبِّكَ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ عَنْ عِبَادَتِهِۦ وَيُسَبِّحُونَهُۥ وَلَهُۥ يَسْجُدُونَ

inna lladhīna ʿinda rabbika lā yastakbirūna ʿan ʿibādatihi wa-yusabbiḥūnahu wa-lahu yasjudūna

Those who are near to thy Lord, disdain not to do Him worship: They celebrate His praises, and prostrate before Him.

Sura Maryam 19:11

فَخَرَجَ عَلَىٰ قَوْمِهِۦ مِنَ ٱلْمِحْرَابِ فَأَوْحَىٰٓ إِلَيْهِمْ أَن سَبِّحُوا۟ بُكْرَةً وَعَشِيًّا

fa-kharaja ʿalā qawmihi mina l-miḥrābi fa-awḥā ilayhim an sabbiḥū bukratan wa-ʿashiyyan

So Zakariya came out to his people from him chamber: He told them by signs to celebrate Allah's praises in the morning and in the evening.

Sura Ṭā Hā 20:33

كَىْ نُسَبِّحَكَ كَثِيرًا

kay nusabbiḥaka kathīran

"That we may celebrate Thy praise without stint,

Sura al-Anbiyāʾ 21:20

يُسَبِّحُونَ ٱلَّيْلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ لَا يَفْتُرُونَ

yusabbiḥūna l-layla wa-l-nahāra lā yafturūna

They celebrate His praises night and day, nor do they ever flag or intermit.

Sura al-Anbiyāʾ 21:33

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلَّيْلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ وَٱلشَّمْسَ وَٱلْقَمَرَ كُلٌّ فِى فَلَكٍ يَسْبَحُونَ

wa-huwa alladhī khalaqa l-layla wa-l-nahāra wa-l-shamsa wa-l-qamara kullun fī falakin yasbaḥūna

It is He Who created the Night and the Day, and the sun and the moon: all (the celestial bodies) swim along, each in its rounded course.

Sura al-Anbiyāʾ 21:79

فَفَهَّمْنَٰهَا سُلَيْمَٰنَ وَكُلًّا ءَاتَيْنَا حُكْمًا وَعِلْمًا وَسَخَّرْنَا مَعَ دَاوُۥدَ ٱلْجِبَالَ يُسَبِّحْنَ وَٱلطَّيْرَ وَكُنَّا فَٰعِلِينَ

fa-fahhamnāhā sulaymāna wa-kullan ātaynā ḥukman wa-ʿilman wa-sakhkharnā maʿa dāwuda l-jibāla yusabbiḥna wa-l-ṭayra wa-kunnā fāʿilīna

To Solomon We inspired the (right) understanding of the matter: to each (of them) We gave Judgment and Knowledge; it was Our power that made the hills and the birds celebrate Our praises, with David: it was We Who did (all these things).

Sura al-Sajdah 32:15

إِنَّمَا يُؤْمِنُ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا ٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا ذُكِّرُوا۟ بِهَا خَرُّوا۟ سُجَّدًا وَسَبَّحُوا۟ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّهِمْ وَهُمْ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ

innamā yuʾminū bi-āyātinā lladhīna idhā dhukkirū bihā kharrū sujjadan wa-sabbaḥū bi-ḥamdi rabbihim wa-hum lā yastakbirūna

Only those believe in Our Signs, who, when they are recited to them, fall down in prostration, and celebrate the praises of their Lord, nor are they (ever) puffed up with pride.

Sura al-Aḥzāb 33:42

وَسَبِّحُوهُ بُكْرَةً وَأَصِيلًا

wa-sabbiḥūhu bukratan wa-aṣīlan

And glorify Him morning and evening.

Sura Yā Sin 36:40

لَا ٱلشَّمْسُ يَنۢبَغِى لَهَآ أَن تُدْرِكَ ٱلْقَمَرَ وَلَا ٱلَّيْلُ سَابِقُ ٱلنَّهَارِ وَكُلٌّ فِى فَلَكٍ يَسْبَحُونَ

lā l-shamsu yanbaghī lahā an tudrika l-qamara wa-lā l-laylu sābiqu l-nahāri wa-kullun fī falakin yasbaḥūna

It is not permitted to the Sun to catch up the Moon, nor can the Night outstrip the Day: Each (just) swims along in (its own) orbit (according to Law).

Sura Ṣād 38:18

إِنَّا سَخَّرْنَا ٱلْجِبَالَ مَعَهُۥ يُسَبِّحْنَ بِٱلْعَشِىِّ وَٱلْإِشْرَاقِ

innā sakhkharnā l-jibāla maʿahu yusabbiḥna bil-ʿashiyyi wa-l-ishrāqi

It was We that made the hills declare, in unison with him, Our Praises, at eventide and at break of day,

Sura al-Zumar 39:75

وَتَرَى ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةَ حَآفِّينَ مِنْ حَوْلِ ٱلْعَرْشِ يُسَبِّحُونَ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّهِمْ وَقُضِىَ بَيْنَهُم بِٱلْحَقِّ وَقِيلَ ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّـهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

wa-tara l-malāikata ḥāffīna min ḥawli l-ʿarshi yusabbiḥūna bi-ḥamdi rabbihim wa-quḍiya baynahum bil-ḥaqqi wa-qīla l-ḥamdu lillāhi rabbi l-ʿālamīna

And thou wilt see the angels surrounding the Throne (Divine) on all sides, singing Glory and Praise to their Lord. The Decision between them (at Judgment) will be in (perfect) justice, and the cry (on all sides) will be, "Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds!"

Sura al-Ghāfir 40:7

ٱلَّذِينَ يَحْمِلُونَ ٱلْعَرْشَ وَمَنْ حَوْلَهُۥ يُسَبِّحُونَ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّهِمْ وَيُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِۦ وَيَسْتَغْفِرُونَ لِلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ رَبَّنَا وَسِعْتَ كُلَّ شَىْءٍ رَّحْمَةً وَعِلْمًا فَٱغْفِرْ لِلَّذِينَ تَابُوا۟ وَٱتَّبَعُوا۟ سَبِيلَكَ وَقِهِمْ عَذَابَ ٱلْجَحِيمِ

lladhīna yaḥmilūna l-ʿarsha wa-man ḥawlahu yusabbiḥūna bi-ḥamdi rabbihim wa-yuminūna bihi wa-yastaghfirūna li-lladhīna āmanū rabbanā wasiʿta kulla shayʾin rraḥmatan wa-ʿilman fa-ighfir li-lladhīna tābū wa-ittabaʿū sabīlaka wa-qihim ʿadhāba l-jaḥīmi

Those who sustain the Throne (of Allah) and those around it Sing Glory and Praise to their Lord; believe in Him; and implore Forgiveness for those who believe: "Our Lord! Thy Reach is over all things, in Mercy and Knowledge. Forgive, then, those who turn in Repentance, and follow Thy Path; and preserve them from the Penalty of the Blazing Fire!

Sura Fuṣṣilat 41:38

فَإِنِ ٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ فَٱلَّذِينَ عِندَ رَبِّكَ يُسَبِّحُونَ لَهُۥ بِٱلَّيْلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ وَهُمْ لَا يَسْـَٔمُونَ

fa-ini istakbarū fa-lladhīna ʿinda rabbika yusabbiḥūna lahu bil-layli wa-l-nahāri wa-hum lā yasamūna

But is the (Unbelievers) are arrogant, (no matter): for in the presence of thy Lord are those who celebrate His praises by night and by day. And they never flag (nor feel themselves above it).

Sura al-Shūrā 42:5

تَكَادُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتُ يَتَفَطَّرْنَ مِن فَوْقِهِنَّ وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ يُسَبِّحُونَ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّهِمْ وَيَسْتَغْفِرُونَ لِمَن فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ أَلَآ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ هُوَ ٱلْغَفُورُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ

takādu l-samāwātu yaṭafaṭṭarna min fawqihinna wa-l-malāʾikatu yusabbiḥūna bi-ḥamdi rabbihim wa-yastaghfirūna li-man fī l-arḍi āla inna allāha huwa l-ghafūru l-raḥīmu

The heavens are almost rent asunder from above them (by Him Glory): and the angels celebrate the Praises of their Lord, and pray for forgiveness for (all) beings on earth: Behold! Verily Allah is He, the Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Sura al-Fatḥ 48:9

لِّتُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِٱللَّـهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ وَتُعَزِّرُوهُ وَتُوَقِّرُوهُ وَتُسَبِّحُوهُ بُكْرَةً وَأَصِيلًا

li-tuʾminū billāhi wa-rasūlihi wa-tuʿazzirūhu wa-tuwaqqirūhu wa-tusabbiḥūhu bukratan wa-aṣīlan

In order that ye (O men) may believe in Allah and His Messenger, that ye may assist and honour Him, and celebrate His praise morning and evening.

Sura al-Qalam 68:28

قَالَ أَوْسَطُهُمْ أَلَمْ أَقُل لَّكُمْ لَوْلَا تُسَبِّحُونَ

qalā awsaṭuhum a-lam aqul la-kum lawlā tusabbiḥūna

Said one of them, more just (than the rest): "Did I not say to you, 'Why not glorify (Allah)?'"
