Sura Yūsuf 12:77

قَالُوٓا۟ إِن يَسْرِقْ فَقَدْ سَرَقَ أَخٌ لَّهُۥ مِن قَبْلُ فَأَسَرَّهَا يُوسُفُ فِى نَفْسِهِۦ وَلَمْ يُبْدِهَا لَهُمْ قَالَ أَنتُمْ شَرٌّ مَّكَانًا وَٱللَّـهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا تَصِفُونَ

qālū in yasriq fa-qad saraqa akhun lahu min qablu fa-asarrahā yūsufu fī nafsihi wa-lam yubdihā lahum qalā antum sharrun makānan wallāhu aʿlamu bi-mā taṣifūna

They said: "If he steals, there was a brother of his who did steal before (him)." But these things did Joseph keep locked in his heart, revealing not the secrets to them. He (simply) said (to himself): "Ye are the worse situated; and Allah knoweth best the truth of what ye assert!"

Sura Yūsuf 12:81

ٱرْجِعُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰٓ أَبِيكُمْ فَقُولُوا۟ يَٰٓأَبَانَآ إِنَّ ٱبْنَكَ سَرَقَ وَمَا شَهِدْنَآ إِلَّا بِمَا عَلِمْنَا وَمَا كُنَّا لِلْغَيْبِ حَٰفِظِينَ

irjiʿū ila abīkum fa-qūlū yāabānā inna ibnaka saraqa wa-mā shahidnā illā bi-mā ʿalimnā wa-mā kunnā lil-ghaybi ḥāfiẓīna

"Turn ye back to your father, and say, 'O our father! behold! thy son committed theft! we bear witness only to what we know, and we could not well guard against the unseen!

Sura al-Ḥijr 15:18

إِلَّا مَنِ ٱسْتَرَقَ ٱلسَّمْعَ فَأَتْبَعَهُۥ شِهَابٌ مُّبِينٌ

illā mani istaraqa l-samʿa fa-atbaʿahu shihābun mubīnun

But any that gains a hearing by stealth, is pursued by a flaming fire, bright (to see).
