He it is That hath made you the night that ye may rest therein, and the day to make things visible (to you). Verily in this are signs for those who listen (to His Message).

قُلْ  أَرَءَيْتُمْ  إِن  جَعَلَ  ٱللَّـهُ  عَلَيْكُمُ  ٱلنَّهَارَ  سَرْمَدًا  إِلَىٰ  يَوْمِ  ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ  مَنْ  إِلَٰهٌ  غَيْرُ  ٱللَّـهِ  يَأْتِيكُم  بِلَيْلٍ  تَسْكُنُونَ  فِيهِ  أَفَلَا  تُبْصِرُونَ qul a‑raʾaytum in jaʿala allāhu ʿalaykumu l‑nahāra sarmadan ilā yawmi l‑qiyāmati man ilāhun ghayru allāhi yaʾtīkum bilaylin taskunūna fīhi a‑fa‑lā tubṣirūna
Say: See ye? If Allah were to make the day perpetual over you to the Day of Judgment, what god is there other than Allah, who can give you a night in which ye can rest? Will ye not then see?
(28:73)

It is out of His Mercy that He has made for you Night and Day,- that ye may rest therein, and that ye may seek of his Grace;- and in order that ye may be grateful.

وَمِنْ  ءَايَٰتِهِۦٓ  أَنْ  خَلَقَ  لَكُم  مِّنْ  أَنفُسِكُمْ  أَزْوَٰجًا  لِّتَسْكُنُوٓا۟  إِلَيْهَا  وَجَعَلَ  بَيْنَكُم  مَّوَدَّةً  وَرَحْمَةً  إِنَّ  فِى  ذَٰلِكَ  لَءَايَٰتٍ  لِّقَوْمٍ  يَتَفَكَّرُونَ wa‑min āyātihi an khalaqa la‑kum min anfusikum azwājan llitaskunū ilayhā wa‑jaʿala baynakum mawaddatan wa‑raḥmatan inna dhālika la‑āyātin li‑qawmin yatafakkarūna
And among His Signs is this, that He created for you mates from among yourselves, that ye may dwell in tranquillity with them, and He has put love and mercy between your (hearts): verily in that are Signs for those who reflect.

Surah 40 al-Ghāfir (The Forgiving One)

It is Allah Who has made the Night for you, that ye may rest therein, and the days as that which helps (you) to see. Verily Allah is full of Grace and Bounty to men: yet most men give no thanks.

Let the women live (in 'iddat) in the same style as ye live, according to your means: Annoy them not, so as to restrict them. And if they carry (life in their wombs), then spend (your substance) on them until they deliver their burden: and if they suckle your (offspring), give them their recompense: and take mutual counsel together, according to what is just and reasonable. And if ye find yourselves in difficulties, let another woman suckle (the child) on the (father's) behalf.
