Surah 6 al-Anʿām (The Cattle)

(6:13)

وَلَهُۥ  مَا  سَكَنَ  فِى  ٱلَّيْلِ  وَٱلنَّهَارِ  وَهُوَ  ٱلسَّمِيعُ  ٱلْعَلِيمُ wa‑lahu sakana l‑layli wa‑l‑nahāri wa‑huwa l‑samīʿu l‑ʿalīmu
To him belongeth all that dwelleth (or lurketh) in the night and the day. For he is the one who heareth and knoweth all things."

Surah 7 al-Aʿrāf (The Heights)
(7:189)

هُوَ  ٱلَّذِى  خَلَقَكُم  مِّن  نَّفْسٍ  وَٰحِدَةٍ  وَجَعَلَ  مِنْهَا  زَوْجَهَا  لِيَسْكُنَ  إِلَيْهَا  فَلَمَّا  تَغَشَّىٰهَا  حَمَلَتْ  حَمْلًا  خَفِيفًا  فَمَرَّتْ  بِهِۦ  فَلَمَّآ  أَثْقَلَت  دَّعَوَا  ٱللَّـهَ  رَبَّهُمَا  لَئِنْ  ءَاتَيْتَنَا  صَٰلِحًا  لَّنَكُونَنَّ  مِنَ  ٱلشَّٰكِرِينَ huwa alladhī khalaqakum min nafsin wāḥidatin wa‑jaʿala minhā zawjahā li‑yaskuna ilayhā fa‑lammā taghashshahā ḥamalat ḥamlan khafīfan fa‑marrat bihi fa‑lammā athqalat ddaʿawā allāha rabbahumā lain ātaytanā ṣāliḥan llanakūnanna mina l‑shākirīna
It is He Who created you from a single person, and made his mate of like nature, in order that he might dwell with her (in love). When they are united, she bears a light burden and carries it about (unnoticed). When she grows heavy, they both pray to Allah their Lord, (saying): "If Thou givest us a goodly child, we vow we shall (ever) be grateful."

Surah 27 al-Naml (The Ant)
(27:86)

أَلَمْ  يَرَوْا۟  أَنَّا  جَعَلْنَا  ٱلَّيْلَ  لِيَسْكُنُوا۟  فِيهِ  وَٱلنَّهَارَ  مُبْصِرًا  إِنَّ  فِى  ذَٰلِكَ  لَءَايَٰتٍ  لِّقَوْمٍ  يُؤْمِنُونَ a‑lam yaraw annā jaʿalnā l‑layla li‑yaskunū fīhi wa‑l‑nahāra mubṣiran inna dhālika la‑āyātin li‑qawmin yuʾminūna
See they not that We have made the Night for them to rest in and the Day to give them light? Verily in this are Signs for any people that believe!

Surah 28 al-Qaṣaṣ (The Narrative)
(28:58)

وَكَمْ  أَهْلَكْنَا  مِن  قَرْيَةٍۭ  بَطِرَتْ  مَعِيشَتَهَا  فَتِلْكَ  مَسَٰكِنُهُمْ  لَمْ  تُسْكَن  مِّنۢ  بَعْدِهِمْ  إِلَّا  قَلِيلًا  وَكُنَّا  نَحْنُ  ٱلْوَٰرِثِينَ wa‑kam ahlaknā min qaryatin baṭirat maʿīshatahā fa‑tilka masākinuhum lam tuskan min baʿdihim illā qalīlan wa‑kunnā naḥnu l‑wārithīna
And how many populations We destroyed, which exulted in their life (of ease and plenty)! now those habitations of theirs, after them, are deserted,- All but a (miserable) few! and We are their heirs!

Surah 42 al-Shūrā (The Counsel)
(42:33)

إِن  يَشَأْ  يُسْكِنِ  ٱلرِّيحَ  فَيَظْلَلْنَ  رَوَاكِدَ  عَلَىٰ  ظَهْرِهِۦٓ  إِنَّ  فِى  ذَٰلِكَ  لَءَايَٰتٍ  لِّكُلِّ  صَبَّارٍ  شَكُورٍ in yashaʾ yuskini l‑rīḥa fa‑yaẓlalna rawākida ʿalā ẓahrihi inna dhālika la‑āyātin li‑kulli ṣabbārin shakūrin
If it be His Will He can still the Wind: then would they become motionless on the back of the (ocean). Verily in this are Signs for everyone who patiently perseveres and is grateful.
