O ye who believe! when ye prepare for prayer, wash your faces, and your hands (and arms) to the elbows; Rub your heads (with water); and (wash) your feet to the ankles. If ye are in a state of ceremonial impurity, bathe your whole body. But if ye are ill, or on a journey, or one of you cometh from offices of nature, or ye have been in contact with women, and ye find no water, then take for yourselves clean sand or earth, and rub therewith your faces and hands, Allah doth not wish to place you in a difficulty, but to make you clean, and to complete his favour to you, that ye may be grateful.

Allah will not call you to account for what is futile in your oaths, but He will call you to account for your deliberate oaths: for expiation, feed ten indigent persons, on a scale of the average for the food of your families; or clothe them; or give a slave his freedom. If that is beyond your means, fast for three days. That is the expiation for the oaths ye have sworn. But keep to your oaths. Thus doth Allah make clear to you His signs, that ye may be grateful.

(39:7)

إِن  تَكْفُرُوا۟  فَإِنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  غَنِىٌّ  عَنكُمْ  وَلَا  يَرْضَىٰ  لِعِبَادِهِ  ٱلْكُفْرَ  وَإِن  تَشْكُرُوا۟  يَرْضَهُ  لَكُمْ  وَلَا  تَزِرُ  وَازِرَةٌ  وِزْرَ  أُخْرَىٰ  ثُمَّ  إِلَىٰ  رَبِّكُم  مَّرْجِعُكُمْ  فَيُنَبِّئُكُم  بِمَا  كُنتُمْ  تَعْمَلُونَ  إِنَّهُۥ  عَلِيمٌۢ  بِذَاتِ  ٱلصُّدُورِ in takfurū fa‑inna allāha ghaniyyun ʿankum wa‑lā yarḍā li‑ʿibādihi l‑kufra wa‑in tashkurū yarḍahu la‑kum wa‑lā taziru wāziratun wizra ukhrā thumma ilā rabbikum marjiʿukum fa‑yunabbiʾukum bi‑mā kuntum taʿmalūna innahu ʿalīmun bi‑dhāti l‑ṣudūri
If ye reject (Allah), Truly Allah hath no need of you; but He liketh not ingratitude from His servants: if ye are grateful, He is pleased with you. No bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another. In the end, to your Lord is your Return, when He will tell you the truth of all that ye did (in this life). for He knoweth well all that is in (men's) hearts.

Surah 45 al-Jāthiyah (The Kneeling)
(45:12)

It is Allah Who has subjected the sea to you, that ships may sail through it by His command, that ye may seek of his Bounty, and that ye may be grateful.

Surah 56 al-Wāqiʿah (That Which is Coming)
(56:70)

لَوْ  نَشَآءُ  جَعَلْنَٰهُ  أُجَاجًا  فَلَوْلَا  تَشْكُرُونَ law nashāʾu jaʿalnāhu ujājan fa‑lawlā tashkurūna
Were it Our Will, We could make it salt (and unpalatable): then why do ye not give thanks?

Surah 67 al-Mulk (The Kingdom)
(67:23)

قُلْ  هُوَ  ٱلَّذِىٓ  أَنشَأَكُمْ  وَجَعَلَ  لَكُمُ  ٱلسَّمْعَ  وَٱلْأَبْصَٰرَ  وَٱلْأَفْـِٔدَةَ  قَلِيلًا  مَّا  تَشْكُرُونَ qul huwa alladhī anshaʾakum wa‑jaʿala lakumu l‑samʿa wa‑l‑abṣāra wa‑l‑afʾidata qalīlan tashkurūna
Say: "It is He Who has created you (and made you grow), and made for you the faculties of hearing, seeing, feeling and understanding: little thanks it is ye give.
