Surah 27 al-Naml (The Ant)
RefArabic    TransliterationTranslation
(27:19)

فَتَبَسَّمَ  ضَاحِكًا  مِّن  قَوْلِهَا  وَقَالَ  رَبِّ  أَوْزِعْنِىٓ  أَنْ  أَشْكُرَ  نِعْمَتَكَ  ٱلَّتِىٓ  أَنْعَمْتَ  عَلَىَّ  وَعَلَىٰ  وَٰلِدَىَّ  وَأَنْ  أَعْمَلَ  صَٰلِحًا  تَرْضَىٰهُ  وَأَدْخِلْنِى  بِرَحْمَتِكَ  فِى  عِبَادِكَ  ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ fa‑tabassama ḍāḥikan min qawlihā wa‑qāla rabbi awziʿnī an ashkura niʿmataka allatī anʿamta ʿalayya wa‑ʿalā wālidayya wa‑an aʿmala ṣāliḥan tarḍāhu wa‑adkhilnī bi‑raḥmatika ʿibādika l‑ṣāliḥīna
So he smiled, amused at her speech; and he said: "O my Lord! so order me that I may be grateful for Thy favours, which thou hast bestowed on me and on my parents, and that I may work the righteousness that will please Thee: And admit me, by Thy Grace, to the ranks of Thy righteous Servants."
(27:40)

قَالَ  ٱلَّذِى  عِندَهُۥ  عِلْمٌ  مِّنَ  ٱلْكِتَٰبِ  أَنَا۠  ءَاتِيكَ  بِهِۦ  قَبْلَ  أَن  يَرْتَدَّ  إِلَيْكَ  طَرْفُكَ  فَلَمَّا  رَءَاهُ  مُسْتَقِرًّا  عِندَهُۥ  قَالَ  هَٰذَا  مِن  فَضْلِ  رَبِّى  لِيَبْلُوَنِىٓ  ءَأَشْكُرُ  أَمْ  أَكْفُرُ  وَمَن  شَكَرَ  فَإِنَّمَا  يَشْكُرُ  لِنَفْسِهِۦ  وَمَن  كَفَرَ  فَإِنَّ  رَبِّى  غَنِىٌّ  كَرِيمٌ qalā alladhī ʿindahu ʿilmun mina l‑kitābi anā ātīka bihi qabla an yartadda ilayka ṭarfuka fa‑lammā raʾāhu mustaqirran ʿindahu qalā hādhā min faḍli rabbī li‑yabluwanī a‑ashkuru am akfuru wa‑man shakara fa‑innamā yashkuru li‑nafsihi wa‑man kafara fa‑inna rabbī ghaniyyun karīmun
Said one who had knowledge of the Book: "I will bring it to thee within the twinkling of an eye!" Then when (Solomon) saw it placed firmly before him, he said: "This is by the Grace of my Lord!- to test me whether I am grateful or ungrateful! and if any is grateful, truly his gratitude is (a gain) for his own soul; but if any is ungrateful, truly my Lord is Free of all Needs, Supreme in Honour !"

Surah 31 Luqmān (Lukman)
(31:12)

وَلَقَدْ  ءَاتَيْنَا  لُقْمَٰنَ  ٱلْحِكْمَةَ  أَنِ  ٱشْكُرْ  لِلَّـهِ  وَمَن  يَشْكُرْ  فَإِنَّمَا  يَشْكُرُ  لِنَفْسِهِۦ  وَمَن  كَفَرَ  فَإِنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  غَنِىٌّ  حَمِيدٌ wa‑la‑qad ātaynā luqmāna l‑ḥikmata ani ishkur lillāhi wa‑man yashkur fa‑innamā yashkuru li‑nafsihi wa‑man kafara fa‑inna allāha ghaniyyun ḥamīdun
we bestowed (in the past) Wisdom on Luqman: "Show (thy) gratitude to Allah." Any who is (so) grateful does so to the profit of his own soul: but if any is ungrateful, verily Allah is free of all wants, Worthy of all praise.
(31:14)

And We have enjoined on man (to be good) to his parents: in travail upon travail did his mother bear him, and in years twain was his weaning: (hear the command), "Show gratitude to Me and to thy parents: to Me is (thy final) Goal.

Surah 46 al-Aḥqāf (The Sandhills)
(46:15)

وَوَصَّيْنَا  ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ  بِوَٰلِدَيْهِ  إِحْسَٰنًا  حَمَلَتْهُ  أُمُّهُۥ  كُرْهًا  وَوَضَعَتْهُ  كُرْهًا  وَحَمْلُهُۥ  وَفِصَٰلُهُۥ  ثَلَٰثُونَ  شَهْرًا  حَتَّىٰٓ  إِذَا  بَلَغَ  أَشُدَّهُۥ  وَبَلَغَ  أَرْبَعِينَ  سَنَةً  قَالَ  رَبِّ  أَوْزِعْنِىٓ  أَنْ  أَشْكُرَ  نِعْمَتَكَ  ٱلَّتِىٓ  أَنْعَمْتَ  عَلَىَّ  وَعَلَىٰ  وَٰلِدَىَّ  وَأَنْ  أَعْمَلَ  صَٰلِحًا  تَرْضَىٰهُ  وَأَصْلِحْ  لِى  فِى  ذُرِّيَّتِىٓ  إِنِّى  تُبْتُ  إِلَيْكَ  وَإِنِّى  مِنَ  ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ wa‑waṣṣaynā l‑insāna bi‑wālidayhi iḥsānan ḥamalathu ummuhu kurhan wa‑waḍaʿathu kurhan wa‑ḥamluhu wa‑fiṣāluhu thalāthūna shahran ḥatta idhā balagha ashuddahu wa‑balagha arbaʿīna sanatan qalā rabbi awziʿnī an ashkura niʿmataka allatī anʿamta ʿalayya wa‑ʿalā wālidayya wa‑an aʿmala ṣāliḥan tarḍāhu wa‑aṣliḥ dhurriyyatī innī tubtu ilayka wa‑innī mina l‑muslimīna
We have enjoined on man kindness to his parents: In pain did his mother bear him, and in pain did she give him birth. The carrying of the (child) to his weaning is (a period of) thirty months. At length, when he reaches the age of full strength and attains forty years, he says, "O my Lord! Grant me that I may be grateful for Thy favour which Thou has bestowed upon me, and upon both my parents, and that I may work righteousness such as Thou mayest approve; and be gracious to me in my issue. Truly have I turned to Thee and truly do I bow (to Thee) in Islam."

Surah 54 al-Qamar (The Moon)

نِّعْمَةً  مِّنْ  عِندِنَا  كَذَٰلِكَ  نَجْزِى  مَن  شَكَرَ niʿmatan min ʿindinā ka‑dhālika najzī man shakara
As a Grace from Us: thus do We reward those who give thanks.
