(2:224) | وَلَا تَجْعَلُوا۟ ٱللَّـهَ عُرْضَةً لِّأَيْمَٰنِكُمْ أَن تَبَرُّوا۟ وَتَتَّقُوا۟ وَتُصْلِحُوا۟ بَيْنَ ٱلنَّاسِ وَٱللَّـهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ | wa‑lā tajʿalū allāha ʿurḍatan li‑aymānikum an tabarrū wa‑tattaqū wa‑tuṣliḥū bayna l‑nāsi wallāhu samīʿun ʿalīmun | And make not Allah's (name) an excuse in your oaths against
doing good, or acting rightly, or making peace between persons; for Allah is
One Who heareth and knoweth all things.
Sura al-Baqara 2:224 وَلَا تَجْعَلُوا۟ ٱللَّـهَ عُرْضَةً لِّأَيْمَٰنِكُمْ أَن تَبَرُّوا۟ وَتَتَّقُوا۟ وَتُصْلِحُوا۟ بَيْنَ ٱلنَّاسِ وَٱللَّـهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ wa-lā tajʿalū allāha ʿurḍatan li-aymānikum an tabarrū wa-tattaqū wa-tuṣliḥū bayna l-nāsi wallāhu samīʿun ʿalīmun And make not Allah's (name) an excuse in your oaths against doing good, or acting rightly, or making peace between persons; for Allah is One Who heareth and knoweth all things. |
(4:129) | وَلَن تَسْتَطِيعُوٓا۟ أَن تَعْدِلُوا۟ بَيْنَ ٱلنِّسَآءِ وَلَوْ حَرَصْتُمْ فَلَا تَمِيلُوا۟ كُلَّ ٱلْمَيْلِ فَتَذَرُوهَا كَٱلْمُعَلَّقَةِ وَإِن تُصْلِحُوا۟ وَتَتَّقُوا۟ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ كَانَ غَفُورًا رَّحِيمًا | wa‑lan tastaṭīʿū an taʿdilū bayna l‑nisāʾi wa‑law ḥaraṣtum fa‑lā tamīlū kulla l‑mayli fatadharūhā ka‑l‑muʿallaqati wa‑in tuṣliḥū wa‑tattaqū fa‑inna allāha kāna ghafūran raḥīman | Ye are never able to be fair and just as between women, even
if it is your ardent desire: But turn not away (from a woman) altogether,
so as to leave her (as it were) hanging (in the air). If ye come to a
friendly understanding, and practise self-restraint, Allah is Oft-forgiving,
Most Merciful.
Sura al-Nisāʾ 4:129 وَلَن تَسْتَطِيعُوٓا۟ أَن تَعْدِلُوا۟ بَيْنَ ٱلنِّسَآءِ وَلَوْ حَرَصْتُمْ فَلَا تَمِيلُوا۟ كُلَّ ٱلْمَيْلِ فَتَذَرُوهَا كَٱلْمُعَلَّقَةِ وَإِن تُصْلِحُوا۟ وَتَتَّقُوا۟ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ كَانَ غَفُورًا رَّحِيمًا wa-lan tastaṭīʿū an taʿdilū bayna l-nisāʾi wa-law ḥaraṣtum fa-lā tamīlū kulla l-mayli fatadharūhā ka-l-muʿallaqati wa-in tuṣliḥū wa-tattaqū fa-inna allāha kāna ghafūran raḥīman Ye are never able to be fair and just as between women, even if it is your ardent desire: But turn not away (from a woman) altogether, so as to leave her (as it were) hanging (in the air). If ye come to a friendly understanding, and practise self-restraint, Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful. |
(7:142) | وَوَٰعَدْنَا مُوسَىٰ ثَلَٰثِينَ لَيْلَةً وَأَتْمَمْنَٰهَا بِعَشْرٍ فَتَمَّ مِيقَٰتُ رَبِّهِۦٓ أَرْبَعِينَ لَيْلَةً وَقَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِأَخِيهِ هَٰرُونَ ٱخْلُفْنِى فِى قَوْمِى وَأَصْلِحْ وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ سَبِيلَ ٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ | wa‑wāʿadnā mūsā thalāthīna laylatan wa‑atmamnāhā biʿashrin fatamma mīqātu rabbihi arbaʿīna laylatan wa‑qāla mūsā liakhīhi hārūna akhlufnī fī qawmī wa‑aṣliḥ wa‑lā tattabiʿ sabīla l‑mufsidīna | We appointed for Moses thirty nights, and completed (the
period) with ten (more): thus was completed the term (of communion) with
his Lord, forty nights. And Moses had charged his brother Aaron (before he
went up): "Act for me amongst my people: Do right, and follow not the way
of those who do mischief."
Sura al-Aʿrāf 7:142 وَوَٰعَدْنَا مُوسَىٰ ثَلَٰثِينَ لَيْلَةً وَأَتْمَمْنَٰهَا بِعَشْرٍ فَتَمَّ مِيقَٰتُ رَبِّهِۦٓ أَرْبَعِينَ لَيْلَةً وَقَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِأَخِيهِ هَٰرُونَ ٱخْلُفْنِى فِى قَوْمِى وَأَصْلِحْ وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ سَبِيلَ ٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ wa-wāʿadnā mūsā thalāthīna laylatan wa-atmamnāhā biʿashrin fatamma mīqātu rabbihi arbaʿīna laylatan wa-qāla mūsā liakhīhi hārūna akhlufnī fī qawmī wa-aṣliḥ wa-lā tattabiʿ sabīla l-mufsidīna We appointed for Moses thirty nights, and completed (the period) with ten (more): thus was completed the term (of communion) with his Lord, forty nights. And Moses had charged his brother Aaron (before he went up): "Act for me amongst my people: Do right, and follow not the way of those who do mischief." |
(8:1) | يَسْـَٔلُونَكَ عَنِ ٱلْأَنفَالِ قُلِ ٱلْأَنفَالُ لِلَّـهِ وَٱلرَّسُولِ فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّـهَ وَأَصْلِحُوا۟ ذَاتَ بَيْنِكُمْ وَأَطِيعُوا۟ ٱللَّـهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥٓ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ | yasʾalūnaka ʿani l‑anfāli quli l‑anfālu lillāhi wa‑l‑rasūli fa‑ittaqū allāha wa‑aṣliḥū dhāta baynikum wa‑aṭīʿū allāha wa‑rasūlahu in kuntum muʾminīna | They ask thee concerning (things taken as) spoils of war. Say:
"(such) spoils are at the disposal of Allah and the Messenger: So fear Allah, and
keep straight the relations between yourselves: Obey Allah and His Messenger,
if ye do believe."
Sura al-Anfāl 8:1 يَسْـَٔلُونَكَ عَنِ ٱلْأَنفَالِ قُلِ ٱلْأَنفَالُ لِلَّـهِ وَٱلرَّسُولِ فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّـهَ وَأَصْلِحُوا۟ ذَاتَ بَيْنِكُمْ وَأَطِيعُوا۟ ٱللَّـهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥٓ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ yasʾalūnaka ʿani l-anfāli quli l-anfālu lillāhi wa-l-rasūli fa-ittaqū allāha wa-aṣliḥū dhāta baynikum wa-aṭīʿū allāha wa-rasūlahu in kuntum muʾminīna They ask thee concerning (things taken as) spoils of war. Say: "(such) spoils are at the disposal of Allah and the Messenger: So fear Allah, and keep straight the relations between yourselves: Obey Allah and His Messenger, if ye do believe." |
(46:15) | وَوَصَّيْنَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ بِوَٰلِدَيْهِ إِحْسَٰنًا حَمَلَتْهُ أُمُّهُۥ كُرْهًا وَوَضَعَتْهُ كُرْهًا وَحَمْلُهُۥ وَفِصَٰلُهُۥ ثَلَٰثُونَ شَهْرًا حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا بَلَغَ أَشُدَّهُۥ وَبَلَغَ أَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً قَالَ رَبِّ أَوْزِعْنِىٓ أَنْ أَشْكُرَ نِعْمَتَكَ ٱلَّتِىٓ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَىَّ وَعَلَىٰ وَٰلِدَىَّ وَأَنْ أَعْمَلَ صَٰلِحًا تَرْضَىٰهُ وَأَصْلِحْ لِى فِى ذُرِّيَّتِىٓ إِنِّى تُبْتُ إِلَيْكَ وَإِنِّى مِنَ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ | wa‑waṣṣaynā l‑insāna bi‑wālidayhi iḥsānan ḥamalathu ummuhu kurhan wa‑waḍaʿathu kurhan wa‑ḥamluhu wa‑fiṣāluhu thalāthūna shahran ḥatta idhā balagha ashuddahu wa‑balagha arbaʿīna sanatan qalā rabbi awziʿnī an ashkura niʿmataka allatī anʿamta ʿalayya wa‑ʿalā wālidayya wa‑an aʿmala ṣāliḥan tarḍāhu wa‑aṣliḥ lī fī dhurriyyatī innī tubtu ilayka wa‑innī mina l‑muslimīna | We have enjoined on man kindness to his parents: In pain did
his mother bear him, and in pain did she give him birth. The carrying of
the (child) to his weaning is (a period of) thirty months. At length, when
he reaches the age of full strength and attains forty years, he says, "O my
Lord! Grant me that I may be grateful for Thy favour which Thou has
bestowed upon me, and upon both my parents, and that I may work
righteousness such as Thou mayest approve; and be gracious to me in my
issue. Truly have I turned to Thee and truly do I bow (to Thee) in Islam."
Sura al-Aḥqāf 46:15 وَوَصَّيْنَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ بِوَٰلِدَيْهِ إِحْسَٰنًا حَمَلَتْهُ أُمُّهُۥ كُرْهًا وَوَضَعَتْهُ كُرْهًا وَحَمْلُهُۥ وَفِصَٰلُهُۥ ثَلَٰثُونَ شَهْرًا حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا بَلَغَ أَشُدَّهُۥ وَبَلَغَ أَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً قَالَ رَبِّ أَوْزِعْنِىٓ أَنْ أَشْكُرَ نِعْمَتَكَ ٱلَّتِىٓ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَىَّ وَعَلَىٰ وَٰلِدَىَّ وَأَنْ أَعْمَلَ صَٰلِحًا تَرْضَىٰهُ وَأَصْلِحْ لِى فِى ذُرِّيَّتِىٓ إِنِّى تُبْتُ إِلَيْكَ وَإِنِّى مِنَ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ wa-waṣṣaynā l-insāna bi-wālidayhi iḥsānan ḥamalathu ummuhu kurhan wa-waḍaʿathu kurhan wa-ḥamluhu wa-fiṣāluhu thalāthūna shahran ḥatta idhā balagha ashuddahu wa-balagha arbaʿīna sanatan qalā rabbi awziʿnī an ashkura niʿmataka allatī anʿamta ʿalayya wa-ʿalā wālidayya wa-an aʿmala ṣāliḥan tarḍāhu wa-aṣliḥ lī fī dhurriyyatī innī tubtu ilayka wa-innī mina l-muslimīna We have enjoined on man kindness to his parents: In pain did his mother bear him, and in pain did she give him birth. (49:9) | وَإِن طَآئِفَتَانِ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ٱقْتَتَلُوا۟ فَأَصْلِحُوا۟ بَيْنَهُمَا فَإِنۢ بَغَتْ إِحْدَىٰهُمَا عَلَى ٱلْأُخْرَىٰ فَقَٰتِلُوا۟ ٱلَّتِى تَبْغِى حَتَّىٰ تَفِىٓءَ إِلَىٰٓ أَمْرِ ٱللَّـهِ فَإِن فَآءَتْ فَأَصْلِحُوا۟ بَيْنَهُمَا بِٱلْعَدْلِ وَأَقْسِطُوٓا۟ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُقْسِطِينَ | wa‑in ṭāʾifatāni mina l‑muʾminīna iqtatalū fa‑aṣliḥū baynahumā fa‑in baghat iḥdāhumā ʿalā l‑ukhrā fa‑qātilū allatī tabghī ḥattā tafīʾa ila amri allāhi fa‑in fāʾat fa‑aṣliḥū baynahumā bil‑ʿadli wa‑aqsiṭū inna allāha yuḥibbu l‑muqsiṭīna | If two parties among the Believers fall into a quarrel, make
ye peace between them: but if one of them transgresses beyond bounds
against the other, then fight ye (all) against the one that transgresses
until it complies with the command of Allah; but if it complies, then
make peace between them with justice, and be fair: for Allah loves those
who are fair (and just).
Sura al-Ḥujurāt 49:9 وَإِن طَآئِفَتَانِ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ٱقْتَتَلُوا۟ فَأَصْلِحُوا۟ بَيْنَهُمَا فَإِنۢ بَغَتْ إِحْدَىٰهُمَا عَلَى ٱلْأُخْرَىٰ فَقَٰتِلُوا۟ ٱلَّتِى تَبْغِى حَتَّىٰ تَفِىٓءَ إِلَىٰٓ أَمْرِ ٱللَّـهِ فَإِن فَآءَتْ فَأَصْلِحُوا۟ بَيْنَهُمَا بِٱلْعَدْلِ وَأَقْسِطُوٓا۟ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُقْسِطِينَ wa-in ṭāʾifatāni mina l-muʾminīna iqtatalū fa-aṣliḥū baynahumā fa-in baghat iḥdāhumā ʿalā l-ukhrā fa-qātilū allatī tabghī ḥattā tafīʾa ila amri allāhi fa-in fāʾat fa-aṣliḥū baynahumā bil-ʿadli wa-aqsiṭū inna allāha yuḥibbu l-muqsiṭīna If two parties among the Believers fall into a quarrel, make ye peace between them: but if one of them transgresses beyond bounds against the other, then fight ye (all) against the one that transgresses until it complies with the command of Allah; but if it complies, then make peace between them with justice, and be fair: for Allah loves those who are fair (and just). |
(49:10) | إِنَّمَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ إِخْوَةٌ فَأَصْلِحُوا۟ بَيْنَ أَخَوَيْكُمْ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّـهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ | innamā l‑muʾminūna ikhwatun fa‑aṣliḥū bayna akhawaykum wa‑ittaqū allāha la‑ʿallakum turḥamūna | The Believers are but a single Brotherhood: So make peace and
reconciliation between your two (contending) brothers; and fear Allah, that
ye may receive Mercy.
Sura al-Ḥujurāt 49:10 إِنَّمَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ إِخْوَةٌ فَأَصْلِحُوا۟ بَيْنَ أَخَوَيْكُمْ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّـهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ innamā l-muʾminūna ikhwatun fa-aṣliḥū bayna akhawaykum wa-ittaqū allāha la-ʿallakum turḥamūna The Believers are but a single Brotherhood: So make peace and reconciliation between your two (contending) brothers; and fear Allah, that ye may receive Mercy. |
