RefArabic    TransliterationTranslation
(7:100)

أَوَلَمْ  يَهْدِ  لِلَّذِينَ  يَرِثُونَ  ٱلْأَرْضَ  مِنۢ  بَعْدِ  أَهْلِهَآ  أَن  لَّوْ  نَشَآءُ  أَصَبْنَٰهُم  بِذُنُوبِهِمْ  وَنَطْبَعُ  عَلَىٰ  قُلُوبِهِمْ  فَهُمْ  لَا  يَسْمَعُونَ a‑wa‑lam yahdi li‑lladhīna yarithūna l‑arḍa min baʿdi ahlihā an law nashāʾu aṣabnāhum bi‑dhunūbihim wa‑naṭbaʿu ʿalā qulūbihim fa‑hum yasmaʿūna
To those who inherit the earth in succession to its (previous) possessors, is it not a guiding, (lesson) that, if We so willed, We could punish them (too) for their sins, and seal up their hearts so that they could not hear?
(7:156)

وَٱكْتُبْ  لَنَا  فِى  هَٰذِهِ  ٱلدُّنْيَا  حَسَنَةً  وَفِى  ٱلْأَخِرَةِ  إِنَّا  هُدْنَآ  إِلَيْكَ  قَالَ  عَذَابِىٓ  أُصِيبُ  بِهِۦ  مَنْ  أَشَآءُ  وَرَحْمَتِى  وَسِعَتْ  كُلَّ  شَىْءٍ  فَسَأَكْتُبُهَا  لِلَّذِينَ  يَتَّقُونَ  وَيُؤْتُونَ  ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ  وَٱلَّذِينَ  هُم  بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا  يُؤْمِنُونَ wa‑aktub la‑nā hādhihi l‑dunyā ḥasanatan wa‑fī l‑akhirati innā hudnā ilayka qalā ʿadhābī uṣību bihi man ashāʾu wa‑raḥmatī wasiʿat kulla shayʾin fa‑sa‑aktubuhā li‑lladhīna yattaqūna wa‑yuʾtūna l‑zakāta wa‑lladhīna hum bi‑āyātinā yuʾminūna
"And ordain for us that which is good, in this life and in the Hereafter: for we have turned unto Thee." He said: "With My punishment I visit whom I will; but My mercy extendeth to all things. That (mercy) I shall ordain for those who do right, and practise regular charity, and those who believe in Our signs;-

Surah 12 Yūsuf (Joseph)
(12:56)

وَكَذَٰلِكَ  مَكَّنَّا  لِيُوسُفَ  فِى  ٱلْأَرْضِ  يَتَبَوَّأُ  مِنْهَا  حَيْثُ  يَشَآءُ  نُصِيبُ  بِرَحْمَتِنَا  مَن  نَّشَآءُ  وَلَا  نُضِيعُ  أَجْرَ  ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ wa‑ka‑dhālika makkannā li‑yūsufa l‑arḍi yatabawwaʾu minhā ḥaythu yashāʾu nuṣību biraḥmatinā man nashāʾu wa‑lā nuḍīʿu ajra l‑muḥsinīna
Thus did We give established power to Joseph in the land, to take possession therein as, when, or where he pleased. We bestow of our Mercy on whom We please, and We suffer not, to be lost, the reward of those who do good.
