Surah 14 Ibrāhīm (Abraham)
RefArabic    TransliterationTranslation
(14:45)

"And ye dwelt in the dwellings of men who wronged their own souls; ye were clearly shown how We dealt with them; and We put forth (many) parables in your behoof!"

Surah 18 al-Kahf (The Cave)
(18:11)

Then We draw (a veil) over their ears, for a number of years, in the Cave, (so that they heard not):

Surah 25 al-Furqān (The Criterion)
(25:39)

To each one We set forth Parables and examples; and each one We broke to utter annihilation (for their sins).

Surah 29 al-ʿAnkabūt (The Spider)
(29:43)

And such are the Parables We set forth for mankind, but only those understand them who have knowledge.

Surah 30 al-Rūm (The Romans)
(30:58)

وَلَقَدْ  ضَرَبْنَا  لِلنَّاسِ  فِى  هَٰذَا  ٱلْقُرْءَانِ  مِن  كُلِّ  مَثَلٍ  وَلَئِن  جِئْتَهُم  بِـَٔايَةٍ  لَّيَقُولَنَّ  ٱلَّذِينَ  كَفَرُوٓا۟  إِنْ  أَنتُمْ  إِلَّا  مُبْطِلُونَ wa‑la‑qad ḍarabnā lil‑nāsi hādhā l‑qurʾāni min kulli mathalin wa‑laʾin jiʾtahum bi‑āyatin la‑yaqūlanna lladhīna kafarū in antum illā mubṭilūna
verily We have propounded for men, in this Qur'an every kind of Parable: But if thou bring to them any Sign, the Unbelievers are sure to say, "Ye do nothing but talk vanities."

Surah 39 al-Zumar (The Companies)
(39:27)

We have put forth for men, in this Qur'an every kind of Parable, in order that they may receive admonition.

Surah 43 al-Zukhruf (The Embellishment)
(43:5)

أَفَنَضْرِبُ  عَنكُمُ  ٱلذِّكْرَ  صَفْحًا  أَن  كُنتُمْ  قَوْمًا  مُّسْرِفِينَ a‑fa‑naḍribu ʿankumu l‑dhikrā ṣafḥan an kuntum qawman musrifīna
Shall We then take away the Message from you and repel (you), for that ye are a people transgressing beyond bounds?

Surah 59 al-Ḥashr (The Exile)
(59:21)

لَوْ  أَنزَلْنَا  هَٰذَا  ٱلْقُرْءَانَ  عَلَىٰ  جَبَلٍ  لَّرَأَيْتَهُۥ  خَٰشِعًا  مُّتَصَدِّعًا  مِّنْ  خَشْيَةِ  ٱللَّـهِ  وَتِلْكَ  ٱلْأَمْثَٰلُ  نَضْرِبُهَا  لِلنَّاسِ  لَعَلَّهُمْ  يَتَفَكَّرُونَ law anzalnā hādhā l‑qurʾāna ʿalā jabalin llaraaytahu khāshiʿan mutaṣaddiʿan min khashyati allāhi wa‑tilka l‑amthālu naḍribuhā lil‑nāsi la‑ʿallahum yatafakkarūna
Had We sent down this Qur'an on a mountain, verily, thou wouldst have seen it humble itself and cleave asunder for fear of Allah. Such are the similitudes which We propound to men, that they may reflect.
