Sura al-Baqara 2:245

مَّن ذَا ٱلَّذِى يُقْرِضُ ٱللَّـهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًا فَيُضَٰعِفَهُۥ لَهُۥٓ أَضْعَافًا كَثِيرَةً وَٱللَّـهُ يَقْبِضُ وَيَبْصُۜطُ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ

man dhā alladhī yuqriḍu allāha qarḍan ḥasanan fayuḍāʿifahu lahu aḍʿāfan kathīratan wallāhu yaqbiḍu wa-yabṣuṭu wa-ilayhi turjaʿūna

Who is he that will loan to Allah a beautiful loan, which Allah will double unto his credit and multiply many times? It is Allah that giveth (you) Want or plenty, and to Him shall be your return.

Sura al-Baqara 2:261

مَّثَلُ ٱلَّذِينَ يُنفِقُونَ أَمْوَٰلَهُمْ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّـهِ كَمَثَلِ حَبَّةٍ أَنۢبَتَتْ سَبْعَ سَنَابِلَ فِى كُلِّ سُنۢبُلَةٍ مِّا۟ئَةُ حَبَّةٍ وَٱللَّـهُ يُضَٰعِفُ لِمَن يَشَآءُ وَٱللَّـهُ وَٰسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ

mathalu lladhīna yunfiqūna amwālahum fī sabīli allāhi ka-mathali ḥabbatin anbatat sabʿa sanābila fī kulli sunbulatin miatu ḥabbatin wallāhu yuḍāʿifu li-man yashāʾu wallāhu wāsiʿun ʿalīmun

The parable of those who spend their substance in the way of Allah is that of a grain of corn: it groweth seven ears, and each ear Hath a hundred grains. Allah giveth manifold increase to whom He pleaseth: And Allah careth for all and He knoweth all things.

Sura Āl-ʿImrān 3:146

وَكَأَيِّن مِّن نَّبِىٍّ قَٰتَلَ مَعَهُۥ رِبِّيُّونَ كَثِيرٌ فَمَا وَهَنُوا۟ لِمَآ أَصَابَهُمْ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّـهِ وَمَا ضَعُفُوا۟ وَمَا ٱسْتَكَانُوا۟ وَٱللَّـهُ يُحِبُّ ٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ

wakaayyin min nabiyyin qātala maʿahu ribbīyūna kathīrun fa-mā wahanū limā aṣābahum fī sabīli allāhi wa-mā ḍaʿufū wa-mā astakānū wallāhu yuḥibbu l-ṣābirīna

How many of the prophets fought (in Allah's way), and with them (fought) Large bands of godly men? but they never lost heart if they met with disaster in Allah's way, nor did they weaken (in will) nor give in. And Allah Loves those who are firm and steadfast.

Sura al-Nisāʾ 4:40

إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ لَا يَظْلِمُ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ وَإِن تَكُ حَسَنَةً يُضَٰعِفْهَا وَيُؤْتِ مِن لَّدُنْهُ أَجْرًا عَظِيمًا

inna allāha lā yaẓlimu mithqāla dharratin wa-in taku ḥasanatan yuḍāʿifhā wa-yuʾti min lladunhu ajran ʿaẓīman

Allah is never unjust in the least degree: If there is any good (done), He doubleth it, and giveth from His own presence a great reward.

Sura al-Aʿrāf 7:75

قَالَ ٱلْمَلَأُ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ مِن قَوْمِهِۦ لِلَّذِينَ ٱسْتُضْعِفُوا۟ لِمَنْ ءَامَنَ مِنْهُمْ أَتَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّ صَٰلِحًا مُّرْسَلٌ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا بِمَآ أُرْسِلَ بِهِۦ مُؤْمِنُونَ

qalā l-malaʾu lladhīna istakbarū min qawmihi li-lladhīna istuḍʿifū liman āmana minhum ataʿlamūna annā ṣāliḥan mursalun min rabbihi qālū innā bimā ursila bihi muʾminūna

The leaders of the arrogant party among his people said to those who were reckoned powerless - those among them who believed: "know ye indeed that Salih is a messenger from his Lord?" They said: "We do indeed believe in the revelation which hath been sent through him."

Sura al-Aʿrāf 7:137

وَأَوْرَثْنَا ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَانُوا۟ يُسْتَضْعَفُونَ مَشَٰرِقَ ٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَغَٰرِبَهَا ٱلَّتِى بَٰرَكْنَا فِيهَا وَتَمَّتْ كَلِمَتُ رَبِّكَ ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ عَلَىٰ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ بِمَا صَبَرُوا۟ وَدَمَّرْنَا مَا كَانَ يَصْنَعُ فِرْعَوْنُ وَقَوْمُهُۥ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْرِشُونَ

wa-awrathnā l-qawma lladhīna kānū yustaḍʿafūna mashāriqa l-arḍi wa-maghāribahā allatī bāraknā fīhā wa-tammat kalimatu rabbika l-ḥusnā ʿalā banī isrāʾīla bi-mā ṣabarū wa-dammarnā mā kāna yaṣnaʿu firʿawun wa-qawmuhu wa-mā kānū yaʿrishūna

And We made a people, considered weak (and of no account), inheritors of lands in both east and west, - lands whereon We sent down Our blessings. The fair promise of thy Lord was fulfilled for the Children of Israel, because they had patience and constancy, and We levelled to the ground the great works and fine buildings which Pharaoh and his people erected (with such pride).

Sura al-Aʿrāf 7:150

وَلَمَّا رَجَعَ مُوسَىٰٓ إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِۦ غَضْبَٰنَ أَسِفًا قَالَ بِئْسَمَا خَلَفْتُمُونِى مِنۢ بَعْدِىٓ أَعَجِلْتُمْ أَمْرَ رَبِّكُمْ وَأَلْقَى ٱلْأَلْوَاحَ وَأَخَذَ بِرَأْسِ أَخِيهِ يَجُرُّهُۥٓ إِلَيْهِ قَالَ ٱبْنَ أُمَّ إِنَّ ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱسْتَضْعَفُونِى وَكَادُوا۟ يَقْتُلُونَنِى فَلَا تُشْمِتْ بِىَ ٱلْأَعْدَآءَ وَلَا تَجْعَلْنِى مَعَ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

wa-lammā rajaʿa mūsā ilā qawmihi ghaḍbāna asifan qalā biʾsamā khalaftumūnī min baʿdī aʿajiltum amra rabbikum wa-alqa l-alwāḥa wa-akhadha bi-raʾsi akhīhi yajurruhu ilayhi qalā ibna umma inna l-qawma istaḍʿafūnī wa-kādū yaqtulūnanī fa-lā tushmit biya l-aʿdāʾa wa-lā tajʿalnī maʿa l-qawmi l-ẓālimīna

When Moses came back to his people, angry and grieved, he said: "Evil it is that ye have done in my place in my absence: did ye make haste to bring on the judgment of your Lord?" He put down the tablets, seized his brother by (the hair of) his head, and dragged him to him. Aaron said: "Son of my mother! the people did indeed reckon me as naught, and went near to slaying me! Make not the enemies rejoice over my misfortune, nor count thou me amongst the people of sin."

Sura Hūd 11:20

أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ لَمْ يَكُونُوا۟ مُعْجِزِينَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا كَانَ لَهُم مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّـهِ مِنْ أَوْلِيَآءَ يُضَٰعَفُ لَهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَسْتَطِيعُونَ ٱلسَّمْعَ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ يُبْصِرُونَ

ulāʾika lam yakūnū muʿjizīna fī l-arḍi wa-mā kāna lahum min dūni allāhi min awliyāʾa yuḍāʿafu lahumu l-ʿadhābu mā kānū yastaṭīʿūna l-samʿa wa-mā kānū yubṣirūna

They will in no wise frustrate (His design) on earth, nor have they protectors besides Allah! Their penalty will be doubled! They lost the power to hear, and they did not see!

Sura al-Ḥajj 22:73

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ ضُرِبَ مَثَلٌ فَٱسْتَمِعُوا۟ لَهُۥٓ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّـهِ لَن يَخْلُقُوا۟ ذُبَابًا وَلَوِ ٱجْتَمَعُوا۟ لَهُۥ وَإِن يَسْلُبْهُمُ ٱلذُّبَابُ شَيْـًٔا لَّا يَسْتَنقِذُوهُ مِنْهُ ضَعُفَ ٱلطَّالِبُ وَٱلْمَطْلُوبُ

yā-ayyuhā l-nāsu ḍuriba mathalun fa-istamiʿū lahu inna lladhīna tadʿūna min dūni allāhi lan yakhluqū dhubāban wa-lawi ijtamaʿū lahu wa-in yaslubhumu l-dhubābu shayʾan lā yastanqidhūhu minhu ḍaʿufa l-ṭālibu wa-l-maṭlūbu

O men! Here is a parable set forth! listen to it! Those on whom, besides Allah, ye call, cannot create (even) a fly, if they all met together for the purpose! and if the fly should snatch away anything from them, they would have no power to release it from the fly. Feeble are those who petition and those whom they petition!

Sura al-Furqān 25:69

يُضَٰعَفْ لَهُ ٱلْعَذَابُ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ وَيَخْلُدْ فِيهِۦ مُهَانًا

yuḍāʿaf lahu l-ʿadhābu yawma l-qiyāmati wa-yakhlud fīhi muhānan

(But) the Penalty on the Day of Judgment will be doubled to him, and he will dwell therein in ignominy,-

Sura al-Qaṣaṣ 28:4

إِنَّ فِرْعَوْنَ عَلَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَجَعَلَ أَهْلَهَا شِيَعًا يَسْتَضْعِفُ طَآئِفَةً مِّنْهُمْ يُذَبِّحُ أَبْنَآءَهُمْ وَيَسْتَحْىِۦ نِسَآءَهُمْ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ

inna firʿawna ʿalā fī l-arḍi wa-jaʿala ahlahā shiyaʿan yastaḍʿifu ṭāʾifatan minhum yudhabbiḥu abnāʾahum wa-yastaḥyi nisāʾahum innahu kāna mina l-mufsidīna

Truly Pharaoh elated himself in the land and broke up its people into sections, depressing a small group among them: their sons he slew, but he kept alive their females: for he was indeed a maker of mischief.

Sura al-Qaṣaṣ 28:5

وَنُرِيدُ أَن نَّمُنَّ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ ٱسْتُضْعِفُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَنَجْعَلَهُمْ أَئِمَّةً وَنَجْعَلَهُمُ ٱلْوَٰرِثِينَ

wa-nurīdu an nnamunna ʿalā lladhīna istuḍʿifū fī l-arḍi wa-najʿalahum aʾimmatan wa-najʿalahumu l-wārithīna

And We wished to be Gracious to those who were being depressed in the land, to make them leaders (in Faith) and make them heirs,

Sura al-Aḥzāb 33:30

يَٰنِسَآءَ ٱلنَّبِىِّ مَن يَأْتِ مِنكُنَّ بِفَٰحِشَةٍ مُّبَيِّنَةٍ يُضَٰعَفْ لَهَا ٱلْعَذَابُ ضِعْفَيْنِ وَكَانَ ذَٰلِكَ عَلَى ٱللَّـهِ يَسِيرًا

yā-nisāʾa l-nabiyyi man yaʾti minkunna bi-fāḥishatin mubayyinatin yuḍāʿaf lahā l-ʿadhābu ḍiʿfayni wa-kāna dhālika ʿalā allāhi yasīran

O Consorts of the Prophet! If any of you were guilty of evident unseemly conduct, the Punishment would be doubled to her, and that is easy for Allah.

Sura Sabaʾ 34:31

وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَن نُّؤْمِنَ بِهَٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانِ وَلَا بِٱلَّذِى بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَلَوْ تَرَىٰٓ إِذِ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ مَوْقُوفُونَ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ يَرْجِعُ بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَىٰ بَعْضٍ ٱلْقَوْلَ يَقُولُ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱسْتُضْعِفُوا۟ لِلَّذِينَ ٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ لَوْلَآ أَنتُمْ لَكُنَّا مُؤْمِنِينَ

wa-qāla lladhīna kafarū lan nuʾmina bi-hādhā l-qurʾāni wa-lā bi-lladhī bayna yadayhi wa-law tara idhi l-ẓālimūna mawqūfūna ʿinda rabbihim yarjiʿu baʿḍuhum ilā baʿḍin l-qawla yaqūlu lladhīna istuḍʿifū li-lladhīna istakbarū lawlā antum la-kunnā muminīna

The Unbelievers say: "We shall neither believe in this scripture nor in (any) that (came) before it." Couldst thou but see when the wrong-doers will be made to stand before their Lord, throwing back the word (of blame) on one another! Those who had been despised will say to the arrogant ones: "Had it not been for you, we should certainly have been believers!"

Sura Sabaʾ 34:32

قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ لِلَّذِينَ ٱسْتُضْعِفُوٓا۟ أَنَحْنُ صَدَدْنَٰكُمْ عَنِ ٱلْهُدَىٰ بَعْدَ إِذْ جَآءَكُم بَلْ كُنتُم مُّجْرِمِينَ

qalā lladhīna istakbarū li-lladhīna istuḍʿifū a-naḥnu ṣadadnākum ʿani l-hudā baʿda idh jāʾakum bal kuntum mujrimīna

The arrogant ones will say to those who had been despised: "Was it we who kept you back from Guidance after it reached you? Nay, rather, it was ye who transgressed.

Sura Sabaʾ 34:33

وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱسْتُضْعِفُوا۟ لِلَّذِينَ ٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ بَلْ مَكْرُ ٱلَّيْلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ إِذْ تَأْمُرُونَنَآ أَن نَّكْفُرَ بِٱللَّـهِ وَنَجْعَلَ لَهُۥٓ أَندَادًا وَأَسَرُّوا۟ ٱلنَّدَامَةَ لَمَّا رَأَوُا۟ ٱلْعَذَابَ وَجَعَلْنَا ٱلْأَغْلَٰلَ فِىٓ أَعْنَاقِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ هَلْ يُجْزَوْنَ إِلَّا مَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ

wa-qāla lladhīna istuḍʿifū li-lladhīna istakbarū bal makru l-layli wa-l-nahāri idh taʾmurūnanā an nnakfura billāhi wa-najʿala lahu andādan wa-asarrū l-nadāmata lammā raʾawu l-ʿadhāba wa-jaʿalnā l-aghlāla fī aʿnāqi lladhīna kafarū hal yujzawna illā mā kānū yaʿmalūna

Those who had been despised will say to the arrogant ones: "Nay! it was a plot (of yours) by day and by night: Behold! Ye (constantly) ordered us to be ungrateful to Allah and to attribute equals to Him!" They will declare (their) repentance when they see the Penalty: We shall put yokes on the necks of the Unbelievers: It would only be a requital for their (ill) Deeds.

Sura al-Ḥadīd 57:11

مَّن ذَا ٱلَّذِى يُقْرِضُ ٱللَّـهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًا فَيُضَٰعِفَهُۥ لَهُۥ وَلَهُۥٓ أَجْرٌ كَرِيمٌ

man dhā alladhī yuqriḍu allāha qarḍan ḥasanan fayuḍāʿifahu lahu wa-lahu ajrun karīmun

Who is he that will Loan to Allah a beautiful loan? for (Allah) will increase it manifold to his credit, and he will have (besides) a liberal Reward.

Sura al-Ḥadīd 57:18

إِنَّ ٱلْمُصَّدِّقِينَ وَٱلْمُصَّدِّقَٰتِ وَأَقْرَضُوا۟ ٱللَّـهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًا يُضَٰعَفُ لَهُمْ وَلَهُمْ أَجْرٌ كَرِيمٌ

inna l-muṣṣaddiqīna wa-l-muṣṣaddiqāti wa-aqraḍū allāha qarḍan ḥasanan yuḍāʿafu lahum wa-lahum ajrun karīmun

For those who give in Charity, men and women, and loan to Allah a Beautiful Loan, it shall be increased manifold (to their credit), and they shall have (besides) a liberal reward.

Sura al-Taghābun 64:17

إِن تُقْرِضُوا۟ ٱللَّـهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًا يُضَٰعِفْهُ لَكُمْ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ وَٱللَّـهُ شَكُورٌ حَلِيمٌ

in tuqriḍū allāha qarḍan ḥasanan yuḍāʿifhu la-kum wa-yaghfir la-kum wallāhu shakūrun ḥalīmun

If ye loan to Allah, a beautiful loan, He will double it to your (credit), and He will grant you Forgiveness: for Allah is most Ready to appreciate (service), Most Forbearing,-
