Sura al-Nisāʾ 4:155

فَبِمَا نَقْضِهِم مِّيثَٰقَهُمْ وَكُفْرِهِم بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّـهِ وَقَتْلِهِمُ ٱلْأَنۢبِيَآءَ بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ وَقَوْلِهِمْ قُلُوبُنَا غُلْفٌۢ بَلْ طَبَعَ ٱللَّـهُ عَلَيْهَا بِكُفْرِهِمْ فَلَا يُؤْمِنُونَ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا

fa-bimā naqḍihim mīthāqahum wa-kufrihim bi-āyāti allāhi wa-qatlihimu l-anbiyāʾa bi-ghayri ḥaqqin wa-qawlihim qulūbunā ghulfun bal ṭabaʿa allāhu ʿalayhā bi-kufrihim fa-lā yuʾminūna illā qalīlan

(They have incurred divine displeasure): In that they broke their covenant; that they rejected the signs of Allah; that they slew the Messengers in defiance of right; that they said, "Our hearts are the wrappings (which preserve Allah's Word; We need no more)";- Nay, Allah hath set the seal on their hearts for their blasphemy, and little is it they believe;-

Sura al-Aʿrāf 7:100

أَوَلَمْ يَهْدِ لِلَّذِينَ يَرِثُونَ ٱلْأَرْضَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ أَهْلِهَآ أَن لَّوْ نَشَآءُ أَصَبْنَٰهُم بِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَنَطْبَعُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ فَهُمْ لَا يَسْمَعُونَ

a-wa-lam yahdi li-lladhīna yarithūna l-arḍa min baʿdi ahlihā an law nashāʾu aṣabnāhum bi-dhunūbihim wa-naṭbaʿu ʿalā qulūbihim fa-hum lā yasmaʿūna

To those who inherit the earth in succession to its (previous) possessors, is it not a guiding, (lesson) that, if We so willed, We could punish them (too) for their sins, and seal up their hearts so that they could not hear?

Sura al-Aʿrāf 7:101

تِلْكَ ٱلْقُرَىٰ نَقُصُّ عَلَيْكَ مِنْ أَنۢبَآئِهَا وَلَقَدْ جَآءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ فَمَا كَانُوا۟ لِيُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِمَا كَذَّبُوا۟ مِن قَبْلُ كَذَٰلِكَ يَطْبَعُ ٱللَّـهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ

tilka l-qurā naquṣṣu ʿalayka min anbāʾihā wa-la-qad jāʾathum rusuluhum bil-bayyināti fa-mā kānū li-yuʾminū bi-mā kadhdhabū min qablu ka-dhālika yaṭbaʿu allāhu ʿalā qulūbi l-kāfirīna

Such were the towns whose story We (thus) relate unto thee: There came indeed to them their messengers with clear (signs): But they would not believe what they had rejected before. Thus doth Allah seal up the hearts of those who reject faith.

Sura al-Tawbah 9:87

رَضُوا۟ بِأَن يَكُونُوا۟ مَعَ ٱلْخَوَالِفِ وَطُبِعَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ فَهُمْ لَا يَفْقَهُونَ

raḍū bi-an yakūnū maʿa l-khawālifi wa-ṭubiʿa ʿalā qulūbihim fa-hum lā yafqahūna

They prefer to be with (the women), who remain behind (at home): their hearts are sealed and so they understand not.

Sura al-Tawbah 9:93

إِنَّمَا ٱلسَّبِيلُ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ يَسْتَـْٔذِنُونَكَ وَهُمْ أَغْنِيَآءُ رَضُوا۟ بِأَن يَكُونُوا۟ مَعَ ٱلْخَوَالِفِ وَطَبَعَ ٱللَّـهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ فَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ

innamā l-sabīlu ʿalā lladhīna yastaʾdhinūnaka wa-hum aghniyāʾu raḍū bi-an yakūnū maʿa l-khawālifi wa-ṭabaʿa allāhu ʿalā qulūbihim fa-hum lā yaʿlamūna

The ground (of complaint) is against such as claim exemption while they are rich. They prefer to stay with the (women) who remain behind: Allah hath sealed their hearts; so they know not (What they miss).

Sura Yūnus 10:74

ثُمَّ بَعَثْنَا مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦ رُسُلًا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِمْ فَجَآءُوهُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ فَمَا كَانُوا۟ لِيُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِمَا كَذَّبُوا۟ بِهِۦ مِن قَبْلُ كَذَٰلِكَ نَطْبَعُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِ ٱلْمُعْتَدِينَ

thumma baʿathnā min baʿdihi rusulan ilā qawmihim fa-jāʾūhum bil-bayyināti fa-mā kānū li-yuʾminū bi-mā kadhdhabū bihi min qablu ka-dhālika naṭbaʿu ʿalā qulūbi l-muʿtadīna

Then after him We sent (many) messengers to their peoples: they brought them Clear Signs, but they would not believe what they had already rejected beforehand. Thus do We seal the hearts of the transgressors.

Sura al-Naḥl 16:108

أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ طَبَعَ ٱللَّـهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ وَسَمْعِهِمْ وَأَبْصَٰرِهِمْ وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْغَٰفِلُونَ

ulāʾika lladhīna ṭabaʿa allāhu ʿalā qulūbihim wa-samʿihim wa-abṣārihim wa-ūlāʾika humu l-ghāfilūna

Those are they whose hearts, ears, and eyes Allah has sealed up, and they take no heed.

Sura al-Rūm 30:59

كَذَٰلِكَ يَطْبَعُ ٱللَّـهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ

ka-dhālika yaṭbaʿu allāhu ʿalā qulūbi lladhīna lā yaʿlamūna

Thus does Allah seal up the hearts of those who understand not.

Sura al-Ghāfir 40:35

ٱلَّذِينَ يُجَٰدِلُونَ فِىٓ ءَايَٰتِ ٱللَّـهِ بِغَيْرِ سُلْطَٰنٍ أَتَىٰهُمْ كَبُرَ مَقْتًا عِندَ ٱللَّـهِ وَعِندَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ كَذَٰلِكَ يَطْبَعُ ٱللَّـهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ قَلْبِ مُتَكَبِّرٍ جَبَّارٍ

lladhīna yujādilūna fī āyāti allāhi bi-ghayri sulṭānin atāhum kabura maqtan ʿinda allāhi wa-ʿinda lladhīna āmanū ka-dhālika yaṭbaʿu allāhu ʿalā kulli qalbi mutakabbirin jabbārin

"(Such) as dispute about the Signs of Allah, without any authority that hath reached them, grievous and odious (is such conduct) in the sight of Allah and of the Believers. Thus doth Allah, seal up every heart - of arrogant and obstinate Transgressors."

Sura Muḥammad 47:16

وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَسْتَمِعُ إِلَيْكَ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا خَرَجُوا۟ مِنْ عِندِكَ قَالُوا۟ لِلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْعِلْمَ مَاذَا قَالَ ءَانِفًا أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ طَبَعَ ٱللَّـهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ وَٱتَّبَعُوٓا۟ أَهْوَآءَهُمْ

wa-minhum man yastamiʿu ilayka ḥatta idhā kharajū min ʿindika qālū li-lladhīna ūtū l-ʿilma mādhā qalā ānifan ulāʾika lladhīna ṭabaʿa allāhu ʿalā qulūbihim wa-ittabaʿū ahwāʾahum

And among them are men who listen to thee, but in the end, when they go out from thee, they say to those who have received Knowledge, "What is it he said just then?" Such are men whose hearts Allah has sealed, and who follow their own lusts.

Sura al-Munāfiqūn 63:3

ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ ءَامَنُوا۟ ثُمَّ كَفَرُوا۟ فَطُبِعَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ فَهُمْ لَا يَفْقَهُونَ

dhālika bi-annahum āmanū thumma kafarū fa-ṭubiʿa ʿalā qulūbihim fa-hum lā yafqahūna

That is because they believed, then they rejected Faith: So a seal was set on their hearts: therefore they understand not.
