Surah 2 al-Baqara (The Cow)
RefArabic    TransliterationTranslation
(2:249)

فَلَمَّا  فَصَلَ  طَالُوتُ  بِٱلْجُنُودِ  قَالَ  إِنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  مُبْتَلِيكُم  بِنَهَرٍ  فَمَن  شَرِبَ  مِنْهُ  فَلَيْسَ  مِنِّى  وَمَن  لَّمْ  يَطْعَمْهُ  فَإِنَّهُۥ  مِنِّىٓ  إِلَّا  مَنِ  ٱغْتَرَفَ  غُرْفَةًۢ  بِيَدِهِۦ  فَشَرِبُوا۟  مِنْهُ  إِلَّا  قَلِيلًا  مِّنْهُمْ  فَلَمَّا  جَاوَزَهُۥ  هُوَ  وَٱلَّذِينَ  ءَامَنُوا۟  مَعَهُۥ  قَالُوا۟  لَا  طَاقَةَ  لَنَا  ٱلْيَوْمَ  بِجَالُوتَ  وَجُنُودِهِۦ  قَالَ  ٱلَّذِينَ  يَظُنُّونَ  أَنَّهُم  مُّلَٰقُوا۟  ٱللَّـهِ  كَم  مِّن  فِئَةٍ  قَلِيلَةٍ  غَلَبَتْ  فِئَةً  كَثِيرَةًۢ  بِإِذْنِ  ٱللَّـهِ  وَٱللَّـهُ  مَعَ  ٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ fa‑lammā faṣala ṭālūtu bil‑junūdi qalā inna allāha mubtalīkum binaharin fa‑man shariba minhu fa‑laysa minnī wa‑man lam yaṭʿamhu fa‑innahu minnī illā mani ightarafa ghurfatan bi‑yadihi fa‑sharibū minhu illā qalīlan minhum fa‑lammā jāwazahu huwa wa‑lladhīna āmanū maʿahu qālū ṭāqata la‑nā l‑yawma bi‑jālūta wa‑junūdihi qalā lladhīna yaẓunnūna annahum mulāqū allāhi kam min fiʾatin qalīlatin ghalabat fiatan kathīratan bi‑idhni allāhi wallāhu maʿa l‑ṣābirīna
When Talut set forth with the armies, he said: "Allah will test you at the stream: if any drinks of its water, He goes not with my army: Only those who taste not of it go with me: A mere sip out of the hand is excused." but they all drank of it, except a few. When they crossed the river,- He and the faithful ones with him,- they said: "This day We cannot cope with Goliath and his forces." but those who were convinced that they must meet Allah, said: "How oft, by Allah's will, Hath a small force vanquished a big one? Allah is with those who steadfastly persevere."

Surah 5 al-Māʾidah (The Table Spread)
(5:93)

On those who believe and do deeds of righteousness there is no blame for what they ate (in the past), when they guard themselves from evil, and believe, and do deeds of righteousness,- (or) again, guard themselves from evil and believe,- (or) again, guard themselves from evil and do good. For Allah loveth those who do good.

Surah 6 al-Anʿām (The Cattle)
(6:138)

وَقَالُوا۟  هَٰذِهِۦٓ  أَنْعَٰمٌ  وَحَرْثٌ  حِجْرٌ  لَّا  يَطْعَمُهَآ  إِلَّا  مَن  نَّشَآءُ  بِزَعْمِهِمْ  وَأَنْعَٰمٌ  حُرِّمَتْ  ظُهُورُهَا  وَأَنْعَٰمٌ  لَّا  يَذْكُرُونَ  ٱسْمَ  ٱللَّـهِ  عَلَيْهَا  ٱفْتِرَآءً  عَلَيْهِ  سَيَجْزِيهِم  بِمَا  كَانُوا۟  يَفْتَرُونَ wa‑qālū hādhihi anʿāmun wa‑ḥarthun ḥijrun yaṭʿamuhā illā man nashāʾu bi‑zaʿmihim wa‑anʿāmun ḥurrimat ẓuhūruhā wa‑anʿāmun yadhkurūna isma allāhi ʿalayhā iftirāʾan ʿalayhi sa‑yajzīhim bi‑mā kānū yaftarūna
And they say that such and such cattle and crops are taboo, and none should eat of them except those whom - so they say - We wish; further, there are cattle forbidden to yoke or burden, and cattle on which, (at slaughter), the name of Allah is not pronounced; - inventions against Allah's name: soon will He requite them for their inventions.
(6:145)

قُل  لَّآ  أَجِدُ  فِى  مَآ  أُوحِىَ  إِلَىَّ  مُحَرَّمًا  عَلَىٰ  طَاعِمٍ  يَطْعَمُهُۥٓ  إِلَّآ  أَن  يَكُونَ  مَيْتَةً  أَوْ  دَمًا  مَّسْفُوحًا  أَوْ  لَحْمَ  خِنزِيرٍ  فَإِنَّهُۥ  رِجْسٌ  أَوْ  فِسْقًا  أُهِلَّ  لِغَيْرِ  ٱللَّـهِ  بِهِۦ  فَمَنِ  ٱضْطُرَّ  غَيْرَ  بَاغٍ  وَلَا  عَادٍ  فَإِنَّ  رَبَّكَ  غَفُورٌ  رَّحِيمٌ qul ajidu ūḥiya ilayya muḥarraman ʿalā ṭāʿimin yaṭʿamuhu illā an yakūna maytatan aw daman masfūḥan aw laḥma khinzīrin fa‑innahu rijsun aw fisqan uhilla li‑ghayri allāhi bihi fa‑mani iḍṭurra ghayra bāghin wa‑lā ʿādin fa‑inna rabbaka ghafūrun raḥīmun
Say: "I find not in the message received by me by inspiration any (meat) forbidden to be eaten by one who wishes to eat it, unless it be dead meat, or blood poured forth, or the flesh of swine,- for it is an abomination - or, what is impious, (meat) on which a name has been invoked, other than Allah's". But (even so), if a person is forced by necessity, without wilful disobedience, nor transgressing due limits,- thy Lord is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.

O ye who believe! Enter not the Prophet's houses,- until leave is given you,- for a meal, (and then) not (so early as) to wait for its preparation: but when ye are invited, enter; and when ye have taken your meal, disperse, without seeking familiar talk. Such (behaviour) annoys the Prophet: he is ashamed to dismiss you, but Allah is not ashamed (to tell you) the truth. And when ye ask (his ladies) for anything ye want, ask them from before a screen: that makes for greater purity for your hearts and for theirs. Nor is it right for you that ye should annoy Allah's Messenger, or that ye should marry his widows after him at any time. Truly such a thing is in Allah's sight an enormity.
