Surah 11 Hūd (Hud)

(11:112)

فَٱسْتَقِمْ  كَمَآ  أُمِرْتَ  وَمَن  تَابَ  مَعَكَ  وَلَا  تَطْغَوْا۟  إِنَّهُۥ  بِمَا  تَعْمَلُونَ  بَصِيرٌ fa‑istaqim ka‑mā umirta wa‑man tāba maʿaka wa‑lā taṭghaw innahu bi‑mā taʿmalūna baṣīrun
Therefore stand firm (in the straight Path) as thou art commanded,- thou and those who with thee turn (unto Allah); and transgress not (from the Path): for He seeth well all that ye do.

Surah 20 Ṭā Hā (Ta-Ha)
(20:24)

ٱذْهَبْ  إِلَىٰ  فِرْعَوْنَ  إِنَّهُۥ  طَغَىٰ idhhab ilā firʿawna innahu ṭaghā
"Go thou to Pharaoh, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds."
(20:43)

ٱذْهَبَآ  إِلَىٰ  فِرْعَوْنَ  إِنَّهُۥ  طَغَىٰ idhhabā ilā firʿawna innahu ṭaghā
"Go, both of you, to Pharaoh, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds;
(20:45)

قَالَا  رَبَّنَآ  إِنَّنَا  نَخَافُ  أَن  يَفْرُطَ  عَلَيْنَآ  أَوْ  أَن  يَطْغَىٰ qalā rabbanā innanā nakhāfu an yafruṭa ʿalaynā aw an yaṭgha
They (Moses and Aaron) said: "Our Lord! We fear lest he hasten with insolence against us, or lest he transgress all bounds."
(20:81)

كُلُوا۟  مِن  طَيِّبَٰتِ  مَا  رَزَقْنَٰكُمْ  وَلَا  تَطْغَوْا۟  فِيهِ  فَيَحِلَّ  عَلَيْكُمْ  غَضَبِى  وَمَن  يَحْلِلْ  عَلَيْهِ  غَضَبِى  فَقَدْ  هَوَىٰ kulū min ṭayyibāti razaqnākum wa‑lā taṭghaw fīhi fa‑yaḥilla ʿalaykum ghaḍabī wa‑man yaḥlil ʿalayhi ghaḍabī fa‑qad hawā
(Saying): "Eat of the good things We have provided for your sustenance, but commit no excess therein, lest My Wrath should justly descend on you: and those on whom descends My Wrath do perish indeed!

Surah 53 al-Najm (The Star)
(53:17)

مَا  زَاغَ  ٱلْبَصَرُ  وَمَا  طَغَىٰ zāgha l‑baṣaru wa‑mā ṭaghā
(His) sight never swerved, nor did it go wrong!

Surah 55 al-Raḥmān (The Merciful)
(55:8)

أَلَّا  تَطْغَوْا۟  فِى  ٱلْمِيزَانِ allā taṭghaw l‑mīzāni
In order that ye may not transgress (due) balance.

Surah 69 al-Ḥāqqah (The Inevitable)
(69:11)

إِنَّا  لَمَّا  طَغَا  ٱلْمَآءُ  حَمَلْنَٰكُمْ  فِى  ٱلْجَارِيَةِ innā lammā ṭaghā l‑māʾu ḥamalnākum l‑jāriyati
We, when the water (of Noah's Flood) overflowed beyond its limits, carried you (mankind), in the floating (Ark),

Surah 79 al-Nāziʿāt (Those Who Pull Out)
(79:17)

ٱذْهَبْ  إِلَىٰ  فِرْعَوْنَ  إِنَّهُۥ  طَغَىٰ idhhab ilā firʿawna innahu ṭaghā
"Go thou to Pharaoh for he has indeed transgressed all bounds:
(79:37)

فَأَمَّا  مَن  طَغَىٰ fa‑ammā man ṭaghā
Then, for such as had transgressed all bounds,

Surah 89 al-Fajr (The Dawn)
(89:11)

ٱلَّذِينَ  طَغَوْا۟  فِى  ٱلْبِلَٰدِ lladhīna ṭaghaw l‑bilādi
(All) these transgressed beyond bounds in the lands,

Surah 96 al-ʿAlaq (The Clot)
(96:6)

كَلَّآ  إِنَّ  ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ  لَيَطْغَىٰٓ kallā inna l‑insāna la‑yaṭghā
Day, but man doth transgress all bounds,
