(2:222) | وَيَسْـَٔلُونَكَ عَنِ ٱلْمَحِيضِ قُلْ هُوَ أَذًى فَٱعْتَزِلُوا۟ ٱلنِّسَآءَ فِى ٱلْمَحِيضِ وَلَا تَقْرَبُوهُنَّ حَتَّىٰ يَطْهُرْنَ فَإِذَا تَطَهَّرْنَ فَأْتُوهُنَّ مِنْ حَيْثُ أَمَرَكُمُ ٱللَّـهُ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلتَّوَّٰبِينَ وَيُحِبُّ ٱلْمُتَطَهِّرِينَ | wa‑yasʾalūnaka ʿani l‑maḥīḍi qul huwa adhan faʿtazilū l‑nisāʾa fī l‑maḥīḍi wa‑lā taqrabūhunna ḥattā yaṭhurna fa‑idhā taṭahharna fatūhunna min ḥaythu amarakumu allāhu inna allāha yuḥibbu l‑tawwābīna wa‑yuḥibbu l‑mutaṭahhirīna | They ask thee concerning women's courses. Say: They are a hurt
and a pollution: So keep away from women in their courses, and do not
approach them until they are clean. But when they have purified themselves,
ye may approach them in any manner, time, or place ordained for you by Allah.
For Allah loves those who turn to Him constantly and He loves those who keep
themselves pure and clean.

(2:232) | وَإِذَا طَلَّقْتُمُ ٱلنِّسَآءَ فَبَلَغْنَ أَجَلَهُنَّ فَلَا تَعْضُلُوهُنَّ أَن يَنكِحْنَ أَزْوَٰجَهُنَّ إِذَا تَرَٰضَوْا۟ بَيْنَهُم بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ ذَٰلِكَ يُوعَظُ بِهِۦ مَن كَانَ مِنكُمْ يُؤْمِنُ بِٱللَّـهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْأَخِرِ ذَٰلِكُمْ أَزْكَىٰ لَكُمْ وَأَطْهَرُ وَٱللَّـهُ يَعْلَمُ وَأَنتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ | wa‑idhā ṭallaqtumu l‑nisāʾa fa‑balaghna ajalahunna fa‑lā taʿḍulūhunna an yankiḥna azwājahunna idhā tarāḍaw baynahum bil‑maʿrūfi dhālika yūʿaẓu bihi man kāna minkum yuʾminū billāhi wa‑l‑yawmi l‑akhiri dhālikum azka la‑kum wa‑aṭharu wallāhu yaʿlamu wa‑antum lā taʿlamūna | When ye divorce women, and they fulfil the term of their
('Iddat), do not prevent them from marrying their (former) husbands, if
they mutually agree on equitable terms. This instruction is for all amongst
you, who believe in Allah and the Last Day. That is (the course Making for)
most virtue and purity amongst you and Allah knows, and ye know not.
Sura al-Baqara 2:232 وَإِذَا طَلَّقْتُمُ ٱلنِّسَآءَ فَبَلَغْنَ أَجَلَهُنَّ فَلَا تَعْضُلُوهُنَّ أَن يَنكِحْنَ أَزْوَٰجَهُنَّ إِذَا تَرَٰضَوْا۟ بَيْنَهُم بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ ذَٰلِكَ يُوعَظُ بِهِۦ مَن كَانَ مِنكُمْ يُؤْمِنُ بِٱللَّـهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْأَخِرِ ذَٰلِكُمْ أَزْكَىٰ لَكُمْ وَأَطْهَرُ وَٱللَّـهُ يَعْلَمُ وَأَنتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ wa-idhā ṭallaqtumu l-nisāʾa fa-balaghna ajalahunna fa-lā taʿḍulūhunna an yankiḥna azwājahunna idhā tarāḍaw baynahum bil-maʿrūfi dhālika yūʿaẓu bihi man kāna minkum yuʾminū billāhi wa-l-yawmi l-akhiri dhālikum azka la-kum wa-aṭharu wallāhu yaʿlamu wa-antum lā taʿlamūna When ye divorce women, and they fulfil the term of their ('Iddat), do not prevent them from marrying their (former) husbands, if they mutually agree on equitable terms. (3:55) | إِذْ قَالَ ٱللَّـهُ يَٰعِيسَىٰٓ إِنِّى مُتَوَفِّيكَ وَرَافِعُكَ إِلَىَّ وَمُطَهِّرُكَ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَجَاعِلُ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّبَعُوكَ فَوْقَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ ثُمَّ إِلَىَّ مَرْجِعُكُمْ فَأَحْكُمُ بَيْنَكُمْ فِيمَا كُنتُمْ فِيهِ تَخْتَلِفُونَ | idh qalā allāhu yā‑ʿīsā innī mutawaffīka wa‑rāfiʿuka ilayya wa‑muṭahhiruka mina lladhīna kafarū wa‑jāʿilu lladhīna ttabaʿūka fawqa lladhīna kafarū ilā yawmi l‑qiyāmati thumma ilayya marjiʿukum fa‑aḥkumu baynakum fī‑mā kuntum fīhi takhtalifūna | Behold! Allah said: "O Jesus! I will take thee and raise thee to
Myself and clear thee (of the falsehoods) of those who blaspheme; I will
make those who follow thee superior to those who reject faith, to the Day
of Resurrection: Then shall ye all return unto me, and I will judge between
you of the matters wherein ye dispute.
Sura Āl-ʿImrān 3:55 إِذْ قَالَ ٱللَّـهُ يَٰعِيسَىٰٓ إِنِّى مُتَوَفِّيكَ وَرَافِعُكَ إِلَىَّ وَمُطَهِّرُكَ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَجَاعِلُ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّبَعُوكَ فَوْقَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ ثُمَّ إِلَىَّ مَرْجِعُكُمْ فَأَحْكُمُ بَيْنَكُمْ فِيمَا كُنتُمْ فِيهِ تَخْتَلِفُونَ idh qalā allāhu yā-ʿīsā innī mutawaffīka wa-rāfiʿuka ilayya wa-muṭahhiruka mina lladhīna kafarū wa-jāʿilu lladhīna ttabaʿūka fawqa lladhīna kafarū ilā yawmi l-qiyāmati thumma ilayya marjiʿukum fa-aḥkumu baynakum fī-mā kuntum fīhi takhtalifūna Behold! Allah said: "O Jesus! (9:108) | لَا تَقُمْ فِيهِ أَبَدًا لَّمَسْجِدٌ أُسِّسَ عَلَى ٱلتَّقْوَىٰ مِنْ أَوَّلِ يَوْمٍ أَحَقُّ أَن تَقُومَ فِيهِ فِيهِ رِجَالٌ يُحِبُّونَ أَن يَتَطَهَّرُوا۟ وَٱللَّـهُ يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُطَّهِّرِينَ | lā taqum fīhi abadan la‑masjidun ussisa ʿalā l‑taqwā min awwali yawmin aḥaqqu an taqūma fīhi fīhi rijālun yuḥibbūna an yataṭahharū wallāhu yuḥibbu l‑muṭṭahhirīna | Never stand thou forth therein. There is a mosque whose
foundation was laid from the first day on piety; it is more worthy of the
standing forth (for prayer) therein. In it are men who love to be purified;
and Allah loveth those who make themselves pure.
Sura al-Tawbah 9:108 لَا تَقُمْ فِيهِ أَبَدًا لَّمَسْجِدٌ أُسِّسَ عَلَى ٱلتَّقْوَىٰ مِنْ أَوَّلِ يَوْمٍ أَحَقُّ أَن تَقُومَ فِيهِ فِيهِ رِجَالٌ يُحِبُّونَ أَن يَتَطَهَّرُوا۟ وَٱللَّـهُ يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُطَّهِّرِينَ lā taqum fīhi abadan la-masjidun ussisa ʿalā l-taqwā min awwali yawmin aḥaqqu an taqūma fīhi fīhi rijālun yuḥibbūna an yataṭahharū wallāhu yuḥibbu l-muṭṭahhirīna Never stand thou forth therein. (11:78) | وَجَآءَهُۥ قَوْمُهُۥ يُهْرَعُونَ إِلَيْهِ وَمِن قَبْلُ كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ قَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ بَنَاتِى هُنَّ أَطْهَرُ لَكُمْ فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّـهَ وَلَا تُخْزُونِ فِى ضَيْفِىٓ أَلَيْسَ مِنكُمْ رَجُلٌ رَّشِيدٌ | wa‑jāahu qawmuhu yuhraʿūna ilayhi wa‑min qablu kānū yaʿmalūna l‑sayyiʾāti qalā yā‑qawmi hāʾulāʾi banātī hunna aṭharu la‑kum fa‑ittaqū allāha wa‑lā tukhzūni fī ḍayfī a‑laysa minkum rajulun rrashīdun | And his people came rushing towards him, and they had been
long in the habit of practising abominations. He said: "O my people! Here
are my daughters: they are purer for you (if ye marry)! Now fear Allah, and
cover me not with shame about my guests! Is there not among you a single
right-minded man?"
Sura Hūd 11:78 وَجَآءَهُۥ قَوْمُهُۥ يُهْرَعُونَ إِلَيْهِ وَمِن قَبْلُ كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ قَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ بَنَاتِى هُنَّ أَطْهَرُ لَكُمْ فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّـهَ وَلَا تُخْزُونِ فِى ضَيْفِىٓ أَلَيْسَ مِنكُمْ رَجُلٌ رَّشِيدٌ wa-jāahu qawmuhu yuhraʿūna ilayhi wa-min qablu kānū yaʿmalūna l-sayyiʾāti qalā yā-qawmi hāʾulāʾi banātī hunna aṭharu la-kum fa-ittaqū allāha wa-lā tukhzūni fī ḍayfī a-laysa minkum rajulun rrashīdun And his people came rushing towards him, and they had been long in the habit of practising abominations. He said: "O my people! Here are my daughters: they are purer for you (if ye marry)! Now fear Allah, and cover me not with shame about my guests! Is there not among you a single right-minded man?" |
(33:33) | وَقَرْنَ فِى بُيُوتِكُنَّ وَلَا تَبَرَّجْنَ تَبَرُّجَ ٱلْجَٰهِلِيَّةِ ٱلْأُولَىٰ وَأَقِمْنَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتِينَ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَأَطِعْنَ ٱللَّـهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥٓ إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ ٱللَّـهُ لِيُذْهِبَ عَنكُمُ ٱلرِّجْسَ أَهْلَ ٱلْبَيْتِ وَيُطَهِّرَكُمْ تَطْهِيرًا | wa‑qarna fī buyūtikunna wa‑lā tabarrajna tabarruja l‑jāhiliyyati l‑ūlā wa‑aqimna l‑ṣalāta wa‑ātīna l‑zakāta wa‑aṭiʿna allāha wa‑rasūlahu innamā yurīdu allāhu li‑yudhhiba ʿankumu l‑rijsa ahla l‑bayti wa‑yuṭahhirakum taṭhīran | And stay quietly in your houses, and make not a dazzling
display, like that of the former Times of Ignorance; and establish regular
Prayer, and give regular Charity; and obey Allah and His Messenger. And Allah
only wishes to remove all abomination from you, ye members of the Family,
and to make you pure and spotless.
Sura al-Aḥzāb 33:33 وَقَرْنَ فِى بُيُوتِكُنَّ وَلَا تَبَرَّجْنَ تَبَرُّجَ ٱلْجَٰهِلِيَّةِ ٱلْأُولَىٰ وَأَقِمْنَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتِينَ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَأَطِعْنَ ٱللَّـهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥٓ إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ ٱللَّـهُ لِيُذْهِبَ عَنكُمُ ٱلرِّجْسَ أَهْلَ ٱلْبَيْتِ وَيُطَهِّرَكُمْ تَطْهِيرًا wa-qarna fī buyūtikunna wa-lā tabarrajna tabarruja l-jāhiliyyati l-ūlā wa-aqimna l-ṣalāta wa-ātīna l-zakāta wa-aṭiʿna allāha wa-rasūlahu innamā yurīdu allāhu li-yudhhiba ʿankumu l-rijsa ahla l-bayti wa-yuṭahhirakum taṭhīran And stay quietly in your houses, and make not a dazzling display, like that of the former Times of Ignorance; and establish regular Prayer, and give regular Charity; and obey Allah and His Messenger. (33:53) | يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَدْخُلُوا۟ بُيُوتَ ٱلنَّبِىِّ إِلَّآ أَن يُؤْذَنَ لَكُمْ إِلَىٰ طَعَامٍ غَيْرَ نَٰظِرِينَ إِنَىٰهُ وَلَٰكِنْ إِذَا دُعِيتُمْ فَٱدْخُلُوا۟ فَإِذَا طَعِمْتُمْ فَٱنتَشِرُوا۟ وَلَا مُسْتَـْٔنِسِينَ لِحَدِيثٍ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكُمْ كَانَ يُؤْذِى ٱلنَّبِىَّ فَيَسْتَحْىِۦ مِنكُمْ وَٱللَّـهُ لَا يَسْتَحْىِۦ مِنَ ٱلْحَقِّ وَإِذَا سَأَلْتُمُوهُنَّ مَتَٰعًا فَسْـَٔلُوهُنَّ مِن وَرَآءِ حِجَابٍ ذَٰلِكُمْ أَطْهَرُ لِقُلُوبِكُمْ وَقُلُوبِهِنَّ وَمَا كَانَ لَكُمْ أَن تُؤْذُوا۟ رَسُولَ ٱللَّـهِ وَلَآ أَن تَنكِحُوٓا۟ أَزْوَٰجَهُۥ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦٓ أَبَدًا إِنَّ ذَٰلِكُمْ كَانَ عِندَ ٱللَّـهِ عَظِيمًا | yā‑ayyuhā lladhīna āmanū lā tadkhulū buyūta l‑nabiyyi illā an yudhana la‑kum ilā ṭaʿāmin ghayra nāẓirīna inahu wa‑lākin idhā duʿītum fa‑idkhulū fa‑idhā ṭaʿimtum fa‑intashirū wa‑lā mustaʾnisīna li‑ḥadīthin inna dhālikum kāna yuʾdhī l‑nabiyya fa‑yastaḥyi minkum wallāhu lā yastaḥyi mina l‑ḥaqqi wa‑idhā saʾaltumūhunna matāʿan fa‑sʾalūhunna min warāʾi ḥijābin dhālikum aṭharu li‑qulūbikum wa‑qulūbihinna wa‑mā kāna la‑kum an tuʾdhū rasūla allāhi wa‑lā an tankiḥū azwājahu min baʿdihi abadan inna dhālikum kāna ʿinda allāhi ʿaẓīman | O ye who believe! Enter not the Prophet's houses,- until leave
is given you,- for a meal, (and then) not (so early as) to wait for its
preparation: but when ye are invited, enter; and when ye have taken your
meal, disperse, without seeking familiar talk. Such (behaviour) annoys the
Prophet: he is ashamed to dismiss you, but Allah is not ashamed (to tell you)
the truth. And when ye ask (his ladies) for anything ye want, ask them from
before a screen: that makes for greater purity for your hearts and for
theirs. Nor is it right for you that ye should annoy Allah's Messenger, or that
ye should marry his widows after him at any time. Truly such a thing is in
Allah's sight an enormity.
Sura al-Aḥzāb 33:53 يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَدْخُلُوا۟ بُيُوتَ ٱلنَّبِىِّ إِلَّآ أَن يُؤْذَنَ لَكُمْ إِلَىٰ طَعَامٍ غَيْرَ نَٰظِرِينَ إِنَىٰهُ وَلَٰكِنْ إِذَا دُعِيتُمْ فَٱدْخُلُوا۟ فَإِذَا طَعِمْتُمْ فَٱنتَشِرُوا۟ وَلَا مُسْتَـْٔنِسِينَ لِحَدِيثٍ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكُمْ كَانَ يُؤْذِى ٱلنَّبِىَّ فَيَسْتَحْىِۦ مِنكُمْ وَٱللَّـهُ لَا يَسْتَحْىِۦ مِنَ ٱلْحَقِّ وَإِذَا سَأَلْتُمُوهُنَّ مَتَٰعًا فَسْـَٔلُوهُنَّ مِن وَرَآءِ حِجَابٍ ذَٰلِكُمْ أَطْهَرُ لِقُلُوبِكُمْ وَقُلُوبِهِنَّ وَمَا كَانَ لَكُمْ أَن تُؤْذُوا۟ رَسُولَ ٱللَّـهِ وَلَآ أَن تَنكِحُوٓا۟ أَزْوَٰجَهُۥ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦٓ أَبَدًا إِنَّ ذَٰلِكُمْ كَانَ عِندَ ٱللَّـهِ عَظِيمًا yā-ayyuhā lladhīna āmanū lā tadkhulū buyūta l-nabiyyi illā an yudhana la-kum ilā ṭaʿāmin ghayra nāẓirīna inahu wa-lākin idhā duʿītum fa-idkhulū fa-idhā ṭaʿimtum fa-intashirū wa-lā mustaʾnisīna li-ḥadīthin inna dhālikum kāna yuʾdhī l-nabiyya fa-yastaḥyi minkum wallāhu lā yastaḥyi mina l-ḥaqqi wa-idhā saʾaltumūhunna matāʿan fa-sʾalūhunna min warāʾi ḥijābin dhālikum aṭharu li-qulūbikum wa-qulūbihinna wa-mā kāna la-kum an tuʾdhū rasūla allāhi wa-lā an tankiḥū azwājahu min baʿdihi abadan inna dhālikum kāna ʿinda allāhi ʿaẓīman O ye who believe! (56:79) | لَّا يَمَسُّهُۥٓ إِلَّا ٱلْمُطَهَّرُونَ | lā yamassuhu illā l‑muṭahharūna | Which none shall touch but those who are clean:

(58:12) | يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ إِذَا نَٰجَيْتُمُ ٱلرَّسُولَ فَقَدِّمُوا۟ بَيْنَ يَدَىْ نَجْوَىٰكُمْ صَدَقَةً ذَٰلِكَ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ وَأَطْهَرُ فَإِن لَّمْ تَجِدُوا۟ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ | yā‑ayyuhā lladhīna āmanū idhā nājaytumu l‑rasūla faqaddimū bayna yada najwakum ṣadaqatan dhālika khayrun la‑kum wa‑aṭharu fa‑in lam tajidū fa‑inna allāha ghafūrun raḥīmun | O ye who believe! When ye consult the Messenger in private,
spend something in charity before your private consultation. That will be
best for you, and most conducive to purity (of conduct). But if ye find not
(the wherewithal), Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
Sura al-Mujādilah 58:12 يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ إِذَا نَٰجَيْتُمُ ٱلرَّسُولَ فَقَدِّمُوا۟ بَيْنَ يَدَىْ نَجْوَىٰكُمْ صَدَقَةً ذَٰلِكَ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ وَأَطْهَرُ فَإِن لَّمْ تَجِدُوا۟ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ yā-ayyuhā lladhīna āmanū idhā nājaytumu l-rasūla faqaddimū bayna yada najwakum ṣadaqatan dhālika khayrun la-kum wa-aṭharu fa-in lam tajidū fa-inna allāha ghafūrun raḥīmun O ye who believe! When ye consult the Messenger in private, spend something in charity before your private consultation. That will be best for you, and most conducive to purity (of conduct). But if ye find not (the wherewithal), Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. |
