وَإِذْ  جَعَلْنَا  ٱلْبَيْتَ  مَثَابَةً  لِّلنَّاسِ  وَأَمْنًا  وَٱتَّخِذُوا۟  مِن  مَّقَامِ  إِبْرَٰهِـۧمَ  مُصَلًّى  وَعَهِدْنَآ  إِلَىٰٓ  إِبْرَٰهِـۧمَ  وَإِسْمَٰعِيلَ  أَن  طَهِّرَا  بَيْتِىَ  لِلطَّآئِفِينَ  وَٱلْعَٰكِفِينَ  وَٱلرُّكَّعِ  ٱلسُّجُودِ wa‑idh jaʿalnā l‑bayta mathābatan lil‑nāsi wa‑amnan wa‑ittakhidhū min maqāmi ibrāhīma muṣallan wa‑ʿahidnā ila ibrāhīma wa‑ismāʿīla an ṭahhirā baytiya lil‑ṭāʾifīna wa‑l‑ʿākifīna wa‑l‑rukkaʿi l‑sujūdi
Remember We made the House a place of assembly for men and a place of safety; and take ye the station of Abraham as a place of prayer; and We covenanted with Abraham and Isma'il, that they should sanctify My House for those who compass it round, or use it as a retreat, or bow, or prostrate themselves (therein in prayer).

Surah 3 Āl-ʿImrān (The Family of Imran)

Behold! the angels said: "O Mary! Allah hath chosen thee and purified thee- chosen thee above the women of all nations.

O ye who believe! when ye prepare for prayer, wash your faces, and your hands (and arms) to the elbows; Rub your heads (with water); and (wash) your feet to the ankles. If ye are in a state of ceremonial impurity, bathe your whole body. But if ye are ill, or on a journey, or one of you cometh from offices of nature, or ye have been in contact with women, and ye find no water, then take for yourselves clean sand or earth, and rub therewith your faces and hands, Allah doth not wish to place you in a difficulty, but to make you clean, and to complete his favour to you, that ye may be grateful.
(5:41)

O Messenger! let not those grieve thee, who race each other into unbelief: (whether it be) among those who say "We believe" with their lips but whose hearts have no faith; or it be among the Jews,- men who will listen to any lie,- will listen even to others who have never so much as come to thee. They change the words from their (right) times and places: they say, "If ye are given this, take it, but if not, beware!" If any one's trial is intended by Allah, thou hast no authority in the least for him against Allah. For such - it is not Allah's will to purify their hearts. For them there is disgrace in this world, and in the Hereafter a heavy punishment.

Surah 8 al-Anfāl (The Spoils of War)
(8:11)

إِذْ  يُغَشِّيكُمُ  ٱلنُّعَاسَ  أَمَنَةً  مِّنْهُ  وَيُنَزِّلُ  عَلَيْكُم  مِّنَ  ٱلسَّمَآءِ  مَآءً  لِّيُطَهِّرَكُم  بِهِۦ  وَيُذْهِبَ  عَنكُمْ  رِجْزَ  ٱلشَّيْطَٰنِ  وَلِيَرْبِطَ  عَلَىٰ  قُلُوبِكُمْ  وَيُثَبِّتَ  بِهِ  ٱلْأَقْدَامَ idh yughashshīkumu l‑nuʿāsa amanatan minhu wa‑yunazzilu ʿalaykum mina l‑samāʾi māʾan li‑yuṭahhirakum bihi wa‑yudhhiba ʿankum rijza l‑shayṭāni wa‑li‑yarbiṭa ʿalā qulūbikum wa‑yuthabbita bihi l‑aqdāma
Remember He covered you with a sort of drowsiness, to give you calm as from Himself, and he caused rain to descend on you from heaven, to clean you therewith, to remove from you the stain of Satan, to strengthen your hearts, and to plant your feet firmly therewith.

Surah 9 al-Tawbah (Repentance)
(9:103)

Of their goods, take alms, that so thou mightest purify and sanctify them; and pray on their behalf. Verily thy prayers are a source of security for them: And Allah is One Who heareth and knoweth.

Surah 22 al-Ḥajj (The Pilgrimage)
(22:26)

وَإِذْ  بَوَّأْنَا  لِإِبْرَٰهِيمَ  مَكَانَ  ٱلْبَيْتِ  أَن  لَّا  تُشْرِكْ  بِى  شَيْـًٔا  وَطَهِّرْ  بَيْتِىَ  لِلطَّآئِفِينَ  وَٱلْقَآئِمِينَ  وَٱلرُّكَّعِ  ٱلسُّجُودِ wa‑idh bawwaʾnā li‑ibrāhīma makāna l‑bayti an tushrik shayʾan wa‑ṭahhir baytiya lil‑ṭāʾifīna wa‑l‑qāʾimīna wa‑l‑rukkaʿi l‑sujūdi
Behold! We gave the site, to Abraham, of the (Sacred) House, (saying): "Associate not anything (in worship) with Me; and sanctify My House for those who compass it round, or stand up, or bow, or prostrate themselves (therein in prayer).

Surah 33 al-Aḥzāb (The Allies)
(33:33)

And stay quietly in your houses, and make not a dazzling display, like that of the former Times of Ignorance; and establish regular Prayer, and give regular Charity; and obey Allah and His Messenger. And Allah only wishes to remove all abomination from you, ye members of the Family, and to make you pure and spotless.

Surah 74 al-Muddaththir (The Clothed One)
(74:4)

وَثِيَابَكَ  فَطَهِّرْ wa‑thiyābaka fa‑ṭahhir
And thy garments keep free from stain!
