Surah 2 al-Baqara (The Cow)
RefArabic    TransliterationTranslation
(2:222)

وَيَسْـَٔلُونَكَ  عَنِ  ٱلْمَحِيضِ  قُلْ  هُوَ  أَذًى  فَٱعْتَزِلُوا۟  ٱلنِّسَآءَ  فِى  ٱلْمَحِيضِ  وَلَا  تَقْرَبُوهُنَّ  حَتَّىٰ  يَطْهُرْنَ  فَإِذَا  تَطَهَّرْنَ  فَأْتُوهُنَّ  مِنْ  حَيْثُ  أَمَرَكُمُ  ٱللَّـهُ  إِنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  يُحِبُّ  ٱلتَّوَّٰبِينَ  وَيُحِبُّ  ٱلْمُتَطَهِّرِينَ wa‑yasʾalūnaka ʿani l‑maḥīḍi qul huwa adhan faʿtazilū l‑nisāʾa l‑maḥīḍi wa‑lā taqrabūhunna ḥattā yaṭhurna fa‑idhā taṭahharna fatūhunna min ḥaythu amarakumu allāhu inna allāha yuḥibbu l‑tawwābīna wa‑yuḥibbu l‑mutaṭahhirīna
They ask thee concerning women's courses. Say: They are a hurt and a pollution: So keep away from women in their courses, and do not approach them until they are clean. But when they have purified themselves, ye may approach them in any manner, time, or place ordained for you by Allah. For Allah loves those who turn to Him constantly and He loves those who keep themselves pure and clean.

Surah 5 al-Māʾidah (The Table Spread)
(5:6)

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا  ٱلَّذِينَ  ءَامَنُوٓا۟  إِذَا  قُمْتُمْ  إِلَى  ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ  فَٱغْسِلُوا۟  وُجُوهَكُمْ  وَأَيْدِيَكُمْ  إِلَى  ٱلْمَرَافِقِ  وَٱمْسَحُوا۟  بِرُءُوسِكُمْ  وَأَرْجُلَكُمْ  إِلَى  ٱلْكَعْبَيْنِ  وَإِن  كُنتُمْ  جُنُبًا  فَٱطَّهَّرُوا۟  وَإِن  كُنتُم  مَّرْضَىٰٓ  أَوْ  عَلَىٰ  سَفَرٍ  أَوْ  جَآءَ  أَحَدٌ  مِّنكُم  مِّنَ  ٱلْغَآئِطِ  أَوْ  لَٰمَسْتُمُ  ٱلنِّسَآءَ  فَلَمْ  تَجِدُوا۟  مَآءً  فَتَيَمَّمُوا۟  صَعِيدًا  طَيِّبًا  فَٱمْسَحُوا۟  بِوُجُوهِكُمْ  وَأَيْدِيكُم  مِّنْهُ  مَا  يُرِيدُ  ٱللَّـهُ  لِيَجْعَلَ  عَلَيْكُم  مِّنْ  حَرَجٍ  وَلَٰكِن  يُرِيدُ  لِيُطَهِّرَكُمْ  وَلِيُتِمَّ  نِعْمَتَهُۥ  عَلَيْكُمْ  لَعَلَّكُمْ  تَشْكُرُونَ yā‑ayyuhā lladhīna āmanū idhā qumtum ilā l‑ṣalawti fa‑ighsilū wujūhakum wa‑aydiyakum ilā l‑marāfiqi wa‑amsaḥū biruūsikum wa‑arjulakum ilā l‑kaʿbayni wa‑in kuntum junuban faṭṭahharū wa‑in kuntum marḍā aw ʿalā safarin aw jāa aḥadun minkum mina l‑ghāʾiṭi aw lāmastumu l‑nisāʾa fa‑lam tajidū māʾan fa‑tayammamū ṣaʿīdan ṭayyiban fa‑amsaḥū biwujūhikum wa‑aydīkum minhu yurīdu allāhu li‑yajʿala ʿalaykum min ḥarajin wa‑lākin yurīdu li‑yuṭahhirakum wa‑li‑yutimma niʿmatahu ʿalaykum la‑ʿallakum tashkurūna
O ye who believe! when ye prepare for prayer, wash your faces, and your hands (and arms) to the elbows; Rub your heads (with water); and (wash) your feet to the ankles. If ye are in a state of ceremonial impurity, bathe your whole body. But if ye are ill, or on a journey, or one of you cometh from offices of nature, or ye have been in contact with women, and ye find no water, then take for yourselves clean sand or earth, and rub therewith your faces and hands, Allah doth not wish to place you in a difficulty, but to make you clean, and to complete his favour to you, that ye may be grateful.

Surah 7 al-Aʿrāf (The Heights)
(7:82)

وَمَا  كَانَ  جَوَابَ  قَوْمِهِۦٓ  إِلَّآ  أَن  قَالُوٓا۟  أَخْرِجُوهُم  مِّن  قَرْيَتِكُمْ  إِنَّهُمْ  أُنَاسٌ  يَتَطَهَّرُونَ wa‑mā kāna jawāba qawmihi illā an qālū akhrijūhum min qaryatikum innahum unāsun yataṭahharūna
And his people gave no answer but this: they said, "Drive them out of your city: these are indeed men who want to be clean and pure!"

Surah 9 al-Tawbah (Repentance)
(9:108)

لَا  تَقُمْ  فِيهِ  أَبَدًا  لَّمَسْجِدٌ  أُسِّسَ  عَلَى  ٱلتَّقْوَىٰ  مِنْ  أَوَّلِ  يَوْمٍ  أَحَقُّ  أَن  تَقُومَ  فِيهِ  فِيهِ  رِجَالٌ  يُحِبُّونَ  أَن  يَتَطَهَّرُوا۟  وَٱللَّـهُ  يُحِبُّ  ٱلْمُطَّهِّرِينَ taqum fīhi abadan la‑masjidun ussisa ʿalā l‑taqwā min awwali yawmin aḥaqqu an taqūma fīhi fīhi rijālun yuḥibbūna an yataṭahharū wallāhu yuḥibbu l‑muṭṭahhirīna
Never stand thou forth therein. There is a mosque whose foundation was laid from the first day on piety; it is more worthy of the standing forth (for prayer) therein. In it are men who love to be purified; and Allah loveth those who make themselves pure.

Surah 27 al-Naml (The Ant)
(27:56)

فَمَا  كَانَ  جَوَابَ  قَوْمِهِۦٓ  إِلَّآ  أَن  قَالُوٓا۟  أَخْرِجُوٓا۟  ءَالَ  لُوطٍ  مِّن  قَرْيَتِكُمْ  إِنَّهُمْ  أُنَاسٌ  يَتَطَهَّرُونَ fa‑mā kāna jawāba qawmihi illā an qālū akhrijū āla lūṭin min qaryatikum innahum unāsun yataṭahharūna
But his people gave no other answer but this: they said, "Drive out the followers of Lut from your city: these are indeed men who want to be clean and pure!"
