Ye are never able to be fair and just as between women, even if it is your ardent desire: But turn not away (from a woman) altogether, so as to leave her (as it were) hanging (in the air). If ye come to a friendly understanding, and practise self-restraint, Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.

وَإِن  كَانَ  كَبُرَ  عَلَيْكَ  إِعْرَاضُهُمْ  فَإِنِ  ٱسْتَطَعْتَ  أَن  تَبْتَغِىَ  نَفَقًا  فِى  ٱلْأَرْضِ  أَوْ  سُلَّمًا  فِى  ٱلسَّمَآءِ  فَتَأْتِيَهُم  بِـَٔايَةٍ  وَلَوْ  شَآءَ  ٱللَّـهُ  لَجَمَعَهُمْ  عَلَى  ٱلْهُدَىٰ  فَلَا  تَكُونَنَّ  مِنَ  ٱلْجَٰهِلِينَ wa‑in kāna kabura ʿalayka iʿrāḍuhum fa‑ini istaṭaʿta an tabtaghiya nafaqan l‑arḍi aw sullaman l‑samāʾi fa‑taʾtiyahum bi‑āyatin wa‑law shāʾa allāhu lajamaʿahum ʿalā l‑hudā fa‑lā takūnanna mina l‑jāhilīna
If their spurning is hard on thy mind, yet if thou wert able to seek a tunnel in the ground or a ladder to the skies and bring them a sign,- (what good?). If it were Allah's will, He could gather them together unto true guidance: so be not thou amongst those who are swayed by ignorance (and impatience)!
(6:116)

وَإِن  تُطِعْ  أَكْثَرَ  مَن  فِى  ٱلْأَرْضِ  يُضِلُّوكَ  عَن  سَبِيلِ  ٱللَّـهِ  إِن  يَتَّبِعُونَ  إِلَّا  ٱلظَّنَّ  وَإِنْ  هُمْ  إِلَّا  يَخْرُصُونَ wa‑in tuṭiʿ akthara man l‑arḍi yuḍillūka ʿan sabīli allāhi in yattabiʿūna illā l‑ẓanna wa‑in hum illā yakhruṣūna
Wert thou to follow the common run of those on earth, they will lead thee away from the way of Allah. They follow nothing but conjecture: they do nothing but lie.
(6:121)

وَلَا  تَأْكُلُوا۟  مِمَّا  لَمْ  يُذْكَرِ  ٱسْمُ  ٱللَّـهِ  عَلَيْهِ  وَإِنَّهُۥ  لَفِسْقٌ  وَإِنَّ  ٱلشَّيَٰطِينَ  لَيُوحُونَ  إِلَىٰٓ  أَوْلِيَآئِهِمْ  لِيُجَٰدِلُوكُمْ  وَإِنْ  أَطَعْتُمُوهُمْ  إِنَّكُمْ  لَمُشْرِكُونَ wa‑lā taʾkulū mimmā lam yudhkari smu allāhi ʿalayhi wa‑innahu la‑fisqun wa‑inna l‑shayāṭīna la‑yūḥūna ila awliyāʾihim li‑yujādilūkum wa‑in aṭaʿtumūhum innakum la‑mushrikūna
Eat not of (meats) on which Allah's name hath not been pronounced: That would be impiety. But the evil ones ever inspire their friends to contend with you if ye were to obey them, ye would indeed be Pagans.

(26:179)

فَٱتَّقُوا۟  ٱللَّـهَ  وَأَطِيعُونِ fa‑ittaqū allāha wa‑aṭīʿūni
"So fear Allah and obey me.

Surah 33 al-Aḥzāb (The Allies)
(33:1)

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا  ٱلنَّبِىُّ  ٱتَّقِ  ٱللَّـهَ  وَلَا  تُطِعِ  ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ  وَٱلْمُنَٰفِقِينَ  إِنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  كَانَ  عَلِيمًا  حَكِيمًا yā‑ayyuhā l‑nabiyyu ittaqi allāha wa‑lā tuṭiʿi l‑kāfirīna wa‑l‑munāfiqīna inna allāha kāna ʿalīman ḥakīman
O Prophet! Fear Allah, and hearken not to the Unbelievers and the Hypocrites: verily Allah is full of Knowledge and Wisdom.
(33:33)

And stay quietly in your houses, and make not a dazzling display, like that of the former Times of Ignorance; and establish regular Prayer, and give regular Charity; and obey Allah and His Messenger. And Allah only wishes to remove all abomination from you, ye members of the Family, and to make you pure and spotless.
(33:48)

وَلَا  تُطِعِ  ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ  وَٱلْمُنَٰفِقِينَ  وَدَعْ  أَذَىٰهُمْ  وَتَوَكَّلْ  عَلَى  ٱللَّـهِ  وَكَفَىٰ  بِٱللَّـهِ  وَكِيلًا wa‑lā tuṭiʿi l‑kāfirīna wa‑l‑munāfiqīna wa‑daʿ adhahum wa‑tawakkal ʿalā allāhi wa‑kafā billāhi wakīlan
And obey not (the behests) of the Unbelievers and the Hypocrites, and heed not their annoyances, but put thy Trust in Allah. For enough is Allah as a Disposer of affairs.

Surah 43 al-Zukhruf (The Embellishment)
(43:63)

When Jesus came with Clear Signs, he said: "Now have I come to you with Wisdom, and in order to make clear to you some of the (points) on which ye dispute: therefore fear Allah and obey me.

Surah 47 Muḥammad (Muhammad)
(47:33)

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا  ٱلَّذِينَ  ءَامَنُوٓا۟  أَطِيعُوا۟  ٱللَّـهَ  وَأَطِيعُوا۟  ٱلرَّسُولَ  وَلَا  تُبْطِلُوٓا۟  أَعْمَٰلَكُمْ yā‑ayyuhā lladhīna āmanū aṭīʿū allāha wa‑aṭīʿū l‑rasūla wa‑lā tubṭilū aʿmālakum
O ye who believe! Obey Allah, and obey the messenger, and make not vain your deeds!

Surah 48 al-Fatḥ (The Victory)
(48:16)

قُل  لِّلْمُخَلَّفِينَ  مِنَ  ٱلْأَعْرَابِ  سَتُدْعَوْنَ  إِلَىٰ  قَوْمٍ  أُو۟لِى  بَأْسٍ  شَدِيدٍ  تُقَٰتِلُونَهُمْ  أَوْ  يُسْلِمُونَ  فَإِن  تُطِيعُوا۟  يُؤْتِكُمُ  ٱللَّـهُ  أَجْرًا  حَسَنًا  وَإِن  تَتَوَلَّوْا۟  كَمَا  تَوَلَّيْتُم  مِّن  قَبْلُ  يُعَذِّبْكُمْ  عَذَابًا  أَلِيمًا qul lil‑mukhallafīna mina l‑aʿrābi sa‑tudʿawna ilā qawmin ūlī baʾsin shadīdin tuqātilūnahum aw yuslimūna fa‑in tuṭīʿū yuʾtikumu allāhu ajran ḥasanan wa‑in tatawallaw ka‑mā tawallaytum min qablu yuʿadhdhibkum ʿadhāban alīman
Say to the desert Arabs who lagged behind: "Ye shall be summoned (to fight) against a people given to vehement war: then shall ye fight, or they shall submit. Then if ye show obedience, Allah will grant you a goodly reward, but if ye turn back as ye did before, He will punish you with a grievous Penalty."

Surah 49 al-Ḥujurāt (The Chambers)
(49:14)

قَالَتِ  ٱلْأَعْرَابُ  ءَامَنَّا  قُل  لَّمْ  تُؤْمِنُوا۟  وَلَٰكِن  قُولُوٓا۟  أَسْلَمْنَا  وَلَمَّا  يَدْخُلِ  ٱلْإِيمَٰنُ  فِى  قُلُوبِكُمْ  وَإِن  تُطِيعُوا۟  ٱللَّـهَ  وَرَسُولَهُۥ  لَا  يَلِتْكُم  مِّنْ  أَعْمَٰلِكُمْ  شَيْـًٔا  إِنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  غَفُورٌ  رَّحِيمٌ qālati l‑aʿrābu āmannā qul lam tūʾminū wa‑lākin qūlū aslamnā wa‑lammā yadkhuli l‑īmānu qulūbikum wa‑in tuṭīʿū allāha wa‑rasūlahu yalitkum min aʿmālikum shayʾan inna allāha ghafūrun raḥīmun
The desert Arabs say, "We believe." Say, "Ye have no faith; but ye (only)say, 'We have submitted our wills to Allah,' For not yet has Faith entered your hearts. But if ye obey Allah and His Messenger, He will not belittle aught of your deeds: for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful."

Surah 55 al-Raḥmān (The Merciful)
(55:33)

يَٰمَعْشَرَ  ٱلْجِنِّ  وَٱلْإِنسِ  إِنِ  ٱسْتَطَعْتُمْ  أَن  تَنفُذُوا۟  مِنْ  أَقْطَارِ  ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ  وَٱلْأَرْضِ  فَٱنفُذُوا۟  لَا  تَنفُذُونَ  إِلَّا  بِسُلْطَٰنٍ yā‑maʿshara l‑jinni wa‑l‑insi ini istaṭaʿtum an tanfudhū min aqṭāri l‑samāwāti wa‑l‑arḍi fa‑infudhū tanfudhūna illā bi‑sulṭānin
O ye assembly of Jinns and men! If it be ye can pass beyond the zones of the heavens and the earth, pass ye! not without authority shall ye be able to pass!

Surah 58 al-Mujādilah (She Who Pleaded)
(58:13)

ءَأَشْفَقْتُمْ  أَن  تُقَدِّمُوا۟  بَيْنَ  يَدَىْ  نَجْوَىٰكُمْ  صَدَقَٰتٍ  فَإِذْ  لَمْ  تَفْعَلُوا۟  وَتَابَ  ٱللَّـهُ  عَلَيْكُمْ  فَأَقِيمُوا۟  ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ  وَءَاتُوا۟  ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ  وَأَطِيعُوا۟  ٱللَّـهَ  وَرَسُولَهُۥ  وَٱللَّـهُ  خَبِيرٌۢ  بِمَا  تَعْمَلُونَ aashfaqtum an tuqaddimū bayna yada najwakum ṣadaqātin faidh lam tafʿalū wa‑tāba allāhu ʿalaykum fa‑aqīmū l‑ṣalāta wa‑ātū l‑zakāta wa‑aṭīʿū allāha wa‑rasūlahu wallāhu khabīrun bi‑mā taʿmalūna
Is it that ye are afraid of spending sums in charity before your private consultation (with him)? If, then, ye do not so, and Allah forgives you, then (at least) establish regular prayer; practise regular charity; and obey Allah and His Messenger. And Allah is well-acquainted with all that ye do.

Surah 64 al-Taghābun (The Cheating)
(64:12)

وَأَطِيعُوا۟  ٱللَّـهَ  وَأَطِيعُوا۟  ٱلرَّسُولَ  فَإِن  تَوَلَّيْتُمْ  فَإِنَّمَا  عَلَىٰ  رَسُولِنَا  ٱلْبَلَٰغُ  ٱلْمُبِينُ wa‑aṭīʿū allāha wa‑aṭīʿū l‑rasūla fa‑in tawallaytum fa‑innamā ʿalā rasūlinā l‑balāghu l‑mubīnu
So obey Allah, and obey His Messenger: but if ye turn back, the duty of Our Messenger is but to proclaim (the Message) clearly and openly.
(64:16)

فَٱتَّقُوا۟  ٱللَّـهَ  مَا  ٱسْتَطَعْتُمْ  وَٱسْمَعُوا۟  وَأَطِيعُوا۟  وَأَنفِقُوا۟  خَيْرًا  لِّأَنفُسِكُمْ  وَمَن  يُوقَ  شُحَّ  نَفْسِهِۦ  فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ  هُمُ  ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ fa‑ittaqū allāha istaṭaʿtum wa‑ismaʿū wa‑aṭīʿū wa‑anfiqū khayran llianfusikum wa‑man yūqa sḥuḥḥa nafsihi fa‑ūlāʾika humu l‑mufliḥūna
So fear Allah as much as ye can; listen and obey and spend in charity for the benefit of your own soul and those saved from the covetousness of their own souls,- they are the ones that achieve prosperity.
