RefArabic    TransliterationTranslation
(2:57)

And We gave you the shade of clouds and sent down to you Manna and quails, saying: "Eat of the good things We have provided for you:" (But they rebelled); to us they did no harm, but they harmed their own souls.

We divided them into twelve tribes or nations. We directed Moses by inspiration, when his (thirsty) people asked him for water: "Strike the rock with thy staff": out of it there gushed forth twelve springs: Each group knew its own place for water. We gave them the shade of clouds, and sent down to them manna and quails, (saying): "Eat of the good things We have provided for you": (but they rebelled); to Us they did no harm, but they harmed their own souls.

Surah 15 al-Ḥijr (The Rocky Tract)
(15:14)

وَلَوْ  فَتَحْنَا  عَلَيْهِم  بَابًا  مِّنَ  ٱلسَّمَآءِ  فَظَلُّوا۟  فِيهِ  يَعْرُجُونَ wa‑law fataḥnā ʿalayhim bāban mina l‑samāʾi fa‑ẓallū fīhi yaʿrujūna
Even if We opened out to them a gate from heaven, and they were to continue (all day) ascending therein,

Surah 26 al-Shuʿarā (The Poets)
(26:71)

They said: "We worship idols, and we remain constantly in attendance on them."

Surah 30 al-Rūm (The Romans)
(30:51)

And if We (but) send a Wind from which they see (their tilth) turn yellow,- behold, they become, thereafter, Ungrateful (Unbelievers)!

Surah 42 al-Shūrā (The Counsel)
(42:33)

إِن  يَشَأْ  يُسْكِنِ  ٱلرِّيحَ  فَيَظْلَلْنَ  رَوَاكِدَ  عَلَىٰ  ظَهْرِهِۦٓ  إِنَّ  فِى  ذَٰلِكَ  لَءَايَٰتٍ  لِّكُلِّ  صَبَّارٍ  شَكُورٍ in yashaʾ yuskini l‑rīḥa fa‑yaẓlalna rawākida ʿalā ẓahrihi inna dhālika la‑āyātin li‑kulli ṣabbārin shakūrin
If it be His Will He can still the Wind: then would they become motionless on the back of the (ocean). Verily in this are Signs for everyone who patiently perseveres and is grateful.

Surah 56 al-Wāqiʿah (That Which is Coming)

Were it Our Will, We could crumble it to dry powder, and ye would be left in wonderment,
