Surah 7 al-Aʿrāf (The Heights)

(7:23)

قَالَا  رَبَّنَا  ظَلَمْنَآ  أَنفُسَنَا  وَإِن  لَّمْ  تَغْفِرْ  لَنَا  وَتَرْحَمْنَا  لَنَكُونَنَّ  مِنَ  ٱلْخَٰسِرِينَ qalā rabbanā ẓalamnā anfusanā wa‑in lam taghfir la‑nā wa‑tarḥamnā la‑nakūnanna mina l‑khāsirīna
They said: "Our Lord! We have wronged our own souls: If thou forgive us not and bestow not upon us Thy Mercy, we shall certainly be lost."

Surah 11 Hūd (Hud)
(11:101)

وَمَا  ظَلَمْنَٰهُمْ  وَلَٰكِن  ظَلَمُوٓا۟  أَنفُسَهُمْ  فَمَآ  أَغْنَتْ  عَنْهُمْ  ءَالِهَتُهُمُ  ٱلَّتِى  يَدْعُونَ  مِن  دُونِ  ٱللَّـهِ  مِن  شَىْءٍ  لَّمَّا  جَآءَ  أَمْرُ  رَبِّكَ  وَمَا  زَادُوهُمْ  غَيْرَ  تَتْبِيبٍ wa‑mā ẓalamnāhum wa‑lākin ẓalamū anfusahum fa‑mā aghnat ʿanhum ālihatuhumu allatī yadʿūna min dūni allāhi min shayʾin llammā jāa amru rabbika wa‑mā zādūhum ghayra tatbībin
It was not We that wronged them: They wronged their own souls: the deities, other than Allah, whom they invoked, profited them no whit when there issued the decree of thy Lord: Nor did they add aught (to their lot) but perdition!

Surah 16 al-Naḥl (The Bee)
(16:118)

وَعَلَى  ٱلَّذِينَ  هَادُوا۟  حَرَّمْنَا  مَا  قَصَصْنَا  عَلَيْكَ  مِن  قَبْلُ  وَمَا  ظَلَمْنَٰهُمْ  وَلَٰكِن  كَانُوٓا۟  أَنفُسَهُمْ  يَظْلِمُونَ wa‑ʿala lladhīna hādū ḥarramnā qaṣaṣnā ʿalayka min qablu wa‑mā ẓalamnāhum wa‑lākin kānū anfusahum yaẓlimūna
To the Jews We prohibited such things as We have mentioned to thee before: We did them no wrong, but they were used to doing wrong to themselves.

Surah 27 al-Naml (The Ant)
(27:44)

قِيلَ  لَهَا  ٱدْخُلِى  ٱلصَّرْحَ  فَلَمَّا  رَأَتْهُ  حَسِبَتْهُ  لُجَّةً  وَكَشَفَتْ  عَن  سَاقَيْهَا  قَالَ  إِنَّهُۥ  صَرْحٌ  مُّمَرَّدٌ  مِّن  قَوَارِيرَ  قَالَتْ  رَبِّ  إِنِّى  ظَلَمْتُ  نَفْسِى  وَأَسْلَمْتُ  مَعَ  سُلَيْمَٰنَ  لِلَّـهِ  رَبِّ  ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ qīla lahā adkhulī l‑ṣarḥa fa‑lammā raathu ḥasibathu lujjatan wa‑kashafat ʿan sāqayhā qalā innahu ṣarḥun mumarradun min qawārīra qālat rabbi innī ẓalamtu nafsī wa‑aslamtu maʿa sulaymāna lillāhi rabbi l‑ʿālamīna
She was asked to enter the lofty Palace: but when she saw it, she thought it was a lake of water, and she (tucked up her skirts), uncovering her legs. He said: "This is but a palace paved smooth with slabs of glass." She said: "O my Lord! I have indeed wronged my soul: I do (now) submit (in Islam), with Solomon, to the Lord of the Worlds."

Surah 28 al-Qaṣaṣ (The Narrative)
(28:16)

قَالَ  رَبِّ  إِنِّى  ظَلَمْتُ  نَفْسِى  فَٱغْفِرْ  لِى  فَغَفَرَ  لَهُۥٓ  إِنَّهُۥ  هُوَ  ٱلْغَفُورُ  ٱلرَّحِيمُ qalā rabbi innī ẓalamtu nafsī fa‑ighfir fa‑ghafara lahu innahu huwa l‑ghafūru l‑raḥīmu
He prayed: "O my Lord! I have indeed wronged my soul! Do Thou then forgive me!" So (Allah) forgave him: for He is the Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Surah 43 al-Zukhruf (The Embellishment)
(43:76)

وَمَا  ظَلَمْنَٰهُمْ  وَلَٰكِن  كَانُوا۟  هُمُ  ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ wa‑mā ẓalamnāhum wa‑lākin kānū humu l‑ẓālimīna
Nowise shall We be unjust to them: but it is they who have been unjust themselves.
