Sura al-Fātiḥah 1:5

إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ

iyyāka naʿbudu wa-iyyāka nastaʿīnu

Thee do we worship, and Thine aid we seek.

Sura al-Baqara 2:133

أَمْ كُنتُمْ شُهَدَآءَ إِذْ حَضَرَ يَعْقُوبَ ٱلْمَوْتُ إِذْ قَالَ لِبَنِيهِ مَا تَعْبُدُونَ مِنۢ بَعْدِى قَالُوا۟ نَعْبُدُ إِلَٰهَكَ وَإِلَٰهَ ءَابَآئِكَ إِبْرَٰهِـۧمَ وَإِسْمَٰعِيلَ وَإِسْحَٰقَ إِلَٰهًا وَٰحِدًا وَنَحْنُ لَهُۥ مُسْلِمُونَ

am kuntum shuhadāʾa idh ḥaḍara yaʿqūba l-mawtu idh qalā li-banīhi mā taʿbudūna min baʿdī qālū naʿbudu ilāhaka wa-ilāha ābāʾika ibrāhīma wa-ismāʿīla wa-isḥāqa ilāhan wāḥidan wa-naḥnu lahu muslimūna

Were ye witnesses when death appeared before Jacob? Behold, he said to his sons: "What will ye worship after me?" They said: "We shall worship Thy god and the god of thy fathers, of Abraham, Isma'il and Isaac,- the one (True) Allah: To Him we bow (in Islam)."

Sura Āl-ʿImrān 3:64

قُلْ يَٰٓأَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ تَعَالَوْا۟ إِلَىٰ كَلِمَةٍ سَوَآءٍۭ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكُمْ أَلَّا نَعْبُدَ إِلَّا ٱللَّـهَ وَلَا نُشْرِكَ بِهِۦ شَيْـًٔا وَلَا يَتَّخِذَ بَعْضُنَا بَعْضًا أَرْبَابًا مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّـهِ فَإِن تَوَلَّوْا۟ فَقُولُوا۟ ٱشْهَدُوا۟ بِأَنَّا مُسْلِمُونَ

qul yāʾahla l-kitābi taʿālaw ilā kalimatin sawāʾin baynanā wa-baynakum allā naʿbuda illā allāha wa-lā nushrika bihi shayʾan wa-lā yattakhidha baʿḍunā baʿḍan arbāban min dūni allāhi fa-in tawallaw fa-qūlū ishhadū bi-annā muslimūna

Say: "O People of the Book! come to common terms as between us and you: That we worship none but Allah; that we associate no partners with him; that we erect not, from among ourselves, Lords and patrons other than Allah." If then they turn back, say ye: "Bear witness that we (at least) are Muslims (bowing to Allah's Will).

Sura al-Anʿām 6:56

قُلْ إِنِّى نُهِيتُ أَنْ أَعْبُدَ ٱلَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّـهِ قُل لَّآ أَتَّبِعُ أَهْوَآءَكُمْ قَدْ ضَلَلْتُ إِذًا وَمَآ أَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلْمُهْتَدِينَ

qul innī nuhītu an aʿbuda lladhīna tadʿūna min dūni allāhi qul lā attabiʿu ahwāʾakum qad ḍalaltu idhan wa-mā anā mina l-muhtadīna

Say: "I am forbidden to worship those - others than Allah - whom ye call upon." Say: "I will not follow your wain desires: If I did, I would stray from the path, and be not of the company of those who receive guidance."

Sura al-Aʿrāf 7:70

قَالُوٓا۟ أَجِئْتَنَا لِنَعْبُدَ ٱللَّـهَ وَحْدَهُۥ وَنَذَرَ مَا كَانَ يَعْبُدُ ءَابَآؤُنَا فَأْتِنَا بِمَا تَعِدُنَآ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ

qālū a-jiʾtanā li-naʿbuda allāha waḥdahu wa-nadhara mā kāna yaʿbudu ābāʾunā fa-ʾtinā bi-mā taʿidunā in kunta mina l-ṣādiqīna

They said: "Comest thou to us, that we may worship Allah alone, and give up the cult of our fathers? bring us what thou threatenest us with, if so be that thou tellest the truth!"

Sura Yūnus 10:104

قُلْ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِن كُنتُمْ فِى شَكٍّ مِّن دِينِى فَلَآ أَعْبُدُ ٱلَّذِينَ تَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّـهِ وَلَٰكِنْ أَعْبُدُ ٱللَّـهَ ٱلَّذِى يَتَوَفَّىٰكُمْ وَأُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

qul yā-ayyuhā l-nāsu in kuntum fī shakkin min dīnī fa-lā aʿbudu lladhīna taʿbudūna min dūni allāhi wa-lākin aʿbudu allāha alladhī yatawaffakum wa-umirtu an akūna mina l-muʾminīna

Say: "O ye men! If ye are in doubt as to my religion, (behold!) I worship not what ye worship, other than Allah! But I worship Allah - Who will take your souls (at death): I am commanded to be (in the ranks) of the Believers,

Sura Hūd 11:62

قَالُوا۟ يَٰصَٰلِحُ قَدْ كُنتَ فِينَا مَرْجُوًّا قَبْلَ هَٰذَآ أَتَنْهَىٰنَآ أَن نَّعْبُدَ مَا يَعْبُدُ ءَابَآؤُنَا وَإِنَّنَا لَفِى شَكٍّ مِّمَّا تَدْعُونَآ إِلَيْهِ مُرِيبٍ

qālū yāṣāliḥu qad kunta fīnā marjūwan qabla hādhā atanhanā an nnaʿbuda mā yaʿbudu ābāʾunā wa-innanā la-fī shakkin mimmā tadʿūnā ilayhi murībin

They said: "O Salih! thou hast been of us! a centre of our hopes hitherto! dost thou (now) forbid us the worship of what our fathers worshipped? But we are really in suspicious (disquieting) doubt as to that to which thou invitest us."

Sura al-Raʿd 13:36

وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمُ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ يَفْرَحُونَ بِمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ وَمِنَ ٱلْأَحْزَابِ مَن يُنكِرُ بَعْضَهُۥ قُلْ إِنَّمَآ أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَعْبُدَ ٱللَّـهَ وَلَآ أُشْرِكَ بِهِۦٓ إِلَيْهِ أَدْعُوا۟ وَإِلَيْهِ مَـَٔابِ

wa-lladhīna ātaynāhumu l-kitāba yafraḥūna bimā unzila ilayka wa-mina l-aḥzābi man yunkiru baʿḍahu qul innamā umirtu an aʿbuda allāha wa-lā ushrika bihi ilayhi adʿū wa-ilayhi maʾābi

Those to whom We have given the Book rejoice at what hath been revealed unto thee: but there are among the clans those who reject a part thereof. Say: "I am commanded to worship Allah, and not to join partners with Him. Unto Him do I call, and unto Him is my return."

Sura Ibrāhīm 14:35

وَإِذْ قَالَ إِبْرَٰهِيمُ رَبِّ ٱجْعَلْ هَٰذَا ٱلْبَلَدَ ءَامِنًا وَٱجْنُبْنِى وَبَنِىَّ أَن نَّعْبُدَ ٱلْأَصْنَامَ

wa-idh qalā ibrāhīmu rabbi ajʿal hādhā l-balada āminan wa-ijnubnī wa-baniyya an nnaʿbuda l-aṣnāma

Remember Abraham said: "O my Lord! make this city one of peace and security: and preserve me and my sons from worshipping idols.

Sura al-Naḥl 16:35

وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا۟ لَوْ شَآءَ ٱللَّـهُ مَا عَبَدْنَا مِن دُونِهِۦ مِن شَىْءٍ نَّحْنُ وَلَآ ءَابَآؤُنَا وَلَا حَرَّمْنَا مِن دُونِهِۦ مِن شَىْءٍ كَذَٰلِكَ فَعَلَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ فَهَلْ عَلَى ٱلرُّسُلِ إِلَّا ٱلْبَلَٰغُ ٱلْمُبِينُ

wa-qāla lladhīna ashrakū law shāʾa allāhu mā ʿabadnā min dūnihi min shayʾin nnaḥnu wa-lā ābāʾunā wa-lā ḥarramnā min dūnihi min shayʾin ka-dhālika faʿala lladhīna min qablihim fa-hal ʿalā l-rusuli illā l-balāghu l-mubīnu

The worshippers of false gods say: "If Allah had so willed, we should not have worshipped aught but Him - neither we nor our fathers,- nor should we have prescribed prohibitions other than His." So did those who went before them. But what is the mission of messengers but to preach the Clear Message?

Sura al-Shuʿarā 26:71

قَالُوا۟ نَعْبُدُ أَصْنَامًا فَنَظَلُّ لَهَا عَٰكِفِينَ

qālū naʿbudu aṣnāman fanaẓallu lahā ʿākifīna

They said: "We worship idols, and we remain constantly in attendance on them."

Sura al-Naml 27:91

إِنَّمَآ أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَعْبُدَ رَبَّ هَٰذِهِ ٱلْبَلْدَةِ ٱلَّذِى حَرَّمَهَا وَلَهُۥ كُلُّ شَىْءٍ وَأُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ

innamā umirtu an aʿbuda rabba hādhihi l-baldati alladhī ḥarramahā wa-lahu kullu shayʾin wa-umirtu an akūna mina l-muslimīna

For me, I have been commanded to serve the Lord of this city, Him Who has sanctified it and to Whom (belong) all things: and I am commanded to be of those who bow in Islam to Allah's Will,-

Sura Yā Sin 36:22

وَمَا لِىَ لَآ أَعْبُدُ ٱلَّذِى فَطَرَنِى وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ

wa-mā liya lā aʿbudu alladhī faṭaranī wa-ilayhi turjaʿūna

"It would not be reasonable in me if I did not serve Him Who created me, and to Whom ye shall (all) be brought back.

Sura al-Zumar 39:3

أَلَا لِلَّـهِ ٱلدِّينُ ٱلْخَالِصُ وَٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ أَوْلِيَآءَ مَا نَعْبُدُهُمْ إِلَّا لِيُقَرِّبُونَآ إِلَى ٱللَّـهِ زُلْفَىٰٓ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ يَحْكُمُ بَيْنَهُمْ فِى مَا هُمْ فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ لَا يَهْدِى مَنْ هُوَ كَٰذِبٌ كَفَّارٌ

āla lillāhi l-dīnu l-khāliṣu wa-lladhīna ittakhadhū min dūnihi awliyāʾa mā naʿbuduhum illā li-yuqarribūnā ilā allāhi zulfa inna allāha yaḥkumu baynahum fī mā hum fīhi yakhtalifūna inna allāha lā yahdī man huwa kādhibun kaffārun

Is it not to Allah that sincere devotion is due? But those who take for protectors other than Allah (say): "We only serve them in order that they may bring us nearer to Allah." Truly Allah will judge between them in that wherein they differ. But Allah guides not such as are false and ungrateful.

Sura al-Zumar 39:11

قُلْ إِنِّىٓ أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَعْبُدَ ٱللَّـهَ مُخْلِصًا لَّهُ ٱلدِّينَ

qul innī umirtu an aʿbuda allāha mukhliṣan lahu l-dīna

Say: "Verily, I am commanded to serve Allah with sincere devotion;

Sura al-Zumar 39:14

قُلِ ٱللَّـهَ أَعْبُدُ مُخْلِصًا لَّهُۥ دِينِى

quli allāha aʿbudu mukhliṣan lahu dīnī

Say: "It is Allah I serve, with my sincere (and exclusive) devotion:

Sura al-Zumar 39:64

قُلْ أَفَغَيْرَ ٱللَّـهِ تَأْمُرُوٓنِّىٓ أَعْبُدُ أَيُّهَا ٱلْجَٰهِلُونَ

qul a-fa-ghayra allāhi taʾmurūnnī aʿbudu ayyuhā l-jāhilūna

Say: "Is it some one other than Allah that ye order me to worship, O ye ignorant ones?"

Sura al-Ghāfir 40:66

قُلْ إِنِّى نُهِيتُ أَنْ أَعْبُدَ ٱلَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّـهِ لَمَّا جَآءَنِىَ ٱلْبَيِّنَٰتُ مِن رَّبِّى وَأُمِرْتُ أَنْ أُسْلِمَ لِرَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

qul innī nuhītu an aʿbuda lladhīna tadʿūna min dūni allāhi lammā jāʾaniya l-bayyinātu min rrabbī wa-umirtu an uslima li-rabbi l-ʿālamīna

Say: "I have been forbidden to invoke those whom ye invoke besides Allah,- seeing that the Clear Signs have come to me from my Lord; and I have been commanded to bow (in Islam) to the Lord of the Worlds."

Sura al-Zukhruf 43:20

وَقَالُوا۟ لَوْ شَآءَ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ مَا عَبَدْنَٰهُم مَّا لَهُم بِذَٰلِكَ مِنْ عِلْمٍ إِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا يَخْرُصُونَ

wa-qālū law shāʾa l-raḥmānu mā ʿabadnāhum mā lahum bidhālika min ʿilmin in hum illā yakhruṣūna

("Ah!") they say, "If it had been the will of (Allah) Most Gracious, we should not have worshipped such (deities)!" Of that they have no knowledge! they do nothing but lie!

Sura al-Kāfirūn 109:2

لَآ أَعْبُدُ مَا تَعْبُدُونَ

lā aʿbudu mā taʿbudūna

I worship not that which ye worship,

Sura al-Kāfirūn 109:3

وَلَآ أَنتُمْ عَٰبِدُونَ مَآ أَعْبُدُ

wa-lā antum ʿābidūna mā aʿbudu

Nor will ye worship that which I worship.

Sura al-Kāfirūn 109:5

وَلَآ أَنتُمْ عَٰبِدُونَ مَآ أَعْبُدُ

wa-lā antum ʿābidūna mā aʿbudu

Nor will ye worship that which I worship.
