Sura al-Anfāl 8:60

وَأَعِدُّوا۟ لَهُم مَّا ٱسْتَطَعْتُم مِّن قُوَّةٍ وَمِن رِّبَاطِ ٱلْخَيْلِ تُرْهِبُونَ بِهِۦ عَدُوَّ ٱللَّـهِ وَعَدُوَّكُمْ وَءَاخَرِينَ مِن دُونِهِمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَهُمُ ٱللَّـهُ يَعْلَمُهُمْ وَمَا تُنفِقُوا۟ مِن شَىْءٍ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّـهِ يُوَفَّ إِلَيْكُمْ وَأَنتُمْ لَا تُظْلَمُونَ

waaʿiddū lahum mā istaṭaʿtum min quwwatin wa-min rribāṭi l-khayli turhibūna bihi ʿadūwa allāhi wa-ʿaduwwakum wa-ākharīna min dūnihim lā taʿlamūnahumu allāhu yaʿlamuhum wa-mā tunfiqū min shayʾin fī sabīli allāhi yuwaffa ilaykum wa-antum lā tuẓlamūna

Against them make ready your strength to the utmost of your power, including steeds of war, to strike terror into (the hearts of) the enemies, of Allah and your enemies, and others besides, whom ye may not know, but whom Allah doth know. Whatever ye shall spend in the cause of Allah, shall be repaid unto you, and ye shall not be treated unjustly.

Sura al-Tawbah 9:46

وَلَوْ أَرَادُوا۟ ٱلْخُرُوجَ لَأَعَدُّوا۟ لَهُۥ عُدَّةً وَلَٰكِن كَرِهَ ٱللَّـهُ ٱنۢبِعَاثَهُمْ فَثَبَّطَهُمْ وَقِيلَ ٱقْعُدُوا۟ مَعَ ٱلْقَٰعِدِينَ

wa-law arādū l-khurūja la-aʿaddū lahu ʿuddatan wa-lākin kariha allāhu inbiʿāthahum fa-thabbaṭahum wa-qīla iqʿudū maʿa l-qāʿidīna

If they had intended to come out, they would certainly have made some preparation therefor; but Allah was averse to their being sent forth; so He made them lag behind, and they were told, "Sit ye among those who sit (inactive)."

Sura Ibrāhīm 14:34

وَءَاتَىٰكُم مِّن كُلِّ مَا سَأَلْتُمُوهُ وَإِن تَعُدُّوا۟ نِعْمَتَ ٱللَّـهِ لَا تُحْصُوهَآ إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ لَظَلُومٌ كَفَّارٌ

wa-ātakum min kulli mā saʾaltumūhu wa-in taʿuddū niʿmata allāhi lā tuḥṣūhā inna l-insāna la-ẓalūmun kaffārun

And He giveth you of all that ye ask for. But if ye count the favours of Allah, never will ye be able to number them. Verily, man is given up to injustice and ingratitude.

Sura al-Naḥl 16:18

وَإِن تَعُدُّوا۟ نِعْمَةَ ٱللَّـهِ لَا تُحْصُوهَآ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ لَغَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ

wa-in taʿuddū niʿmata allāhi lā tuḥṣūhā inna allāha la-ghafūrun raḥīmun

If ye would count up the favours of Allah, never would ye be able to number them: for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Sura Maryam 19:84

فَلَا تَعْجَلْ عَلَيْهِمْ إِنَّمَا نَعُدُّ لَهُمْ عَدًّا

fa-lā taʿjal ʿalayhim innamā naʿuddu lahum ʿaddan

So make no haste against them, for We but count out to them a (limited) number (of days).

Sura al-Ḥajj 22:47

وَيَسْتَعْجِلُونَكَ بِٱلْعَذَابِ وَلَن يُخْلِفَ ٱللَّـهُ وَعْدَهُۥ وَإِنَّ يَوْمًا عِندَ رَبِّكَ كَأَلْفِ سَنَةٍ مِّمَّا تَعُدُّونَ

wa-yastaʿjilūnaka bil-ʿadhābi wa-lan yukhlifa allāhu waʿdahu wa-inna yawman ʿinda rabbika kaalfi sanatin mimmā taʿuddūna

Yet they ask thee to hasten on the Punishment! But Allah will not fail in His Promise. Verily a Day in the sight of thy Lord is like a thousand years of your reckoning.

Sura al-Sajdah 32:5

يُدَبِّرُ ٱلْأَمْرَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ إِلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ ثُمَّ يَعْرُجُ إِلَيْهِ فِى يَوْمٍ كَانَ مِقْدَارُهُۥٓ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ مِّمَّا تَعُدُّونَ

yudabbiru l-amra mina l-samāʾi ilā l-arḍi thumma yaʿruju ilayhi fī yawmin kāna miqdāruhu alfa sanatin mimmā taʿuddūna

He rules (all) affairs from the heavens to the earth: in the end will (all affairs) go up to Him, on a Day, the space whereof will be (as) a thousand years of your reckoning.

Sura al-Aḥzāb 33:49

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ إِذَا نَكَحْتُمُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتِ ثُمَّ طَلَّقْتُمُوهُنَّ مِن قَبْلِ أَن تَمَسُّوهُنَّ فَمَا لَكُمْ عَلَيْهِنَّ مِنْ عِدَّةٍ تَعْتَدُّونَهَا فَمَتِّعُوهُنَّ وَسَرِّحُوهُنَّ سَرَاحًا جَمِيلًا

yā-ayyuhā lladhīna āmanū idhā nakaḥtumu l-muʾmināti thumma ṭallaqtumūhunna min qabli an tamassūhunna fa-mā la-kum ʿalayhinna min ʿiddatin taʿtaddūnahā fa-mattiʿūhunna wa-sarriḥūhunna sarāḥan jamīlan

O ye who believe! When ye marry believing women, and then divorce them before ye have touched them, no period of 'Iddat have ye to count in respect of them: so give them a present. And set them free in a handsome manner.

Sura Ṣād 38:62

وَقَالُوا۟ مَا لَنَا لَا نَرَىٰ رِجَالًا كُنَّا نَعُدُّهُم مِّنَ ٱلْأَشْرَارِ

wa-qālū mā la-nā lā narā rijālan kunnā naʿudduhum mina l-ashrāri

And they will say: "What has happened to us that we see not men whom we used to number among the bad ones?
