Surah 5 al-Māʾidah (The Table Spread)

(5:71)

وَحَسِبُوٓا۟  أَلَّا  تَكُونَ  فِتْنَةٌ  فَعَمُوا۟  وَصَمُّوا۟  ثُمَّ  تَابَ  ٱللَّـهُ  عَلَيْهِمْ  ثُمَّ  عَمُوا۟  وَصَمُّوا۟  كَثِيرٌ  مِّنْهُمْ  وَٱللَّـهُ  بَصِيرٌۢ  بِمَا  يَعْمَلُونَ wa‑ḥasibū allā takūna fitnatun faʿamū wa‑ṣammū thumma tāba allāhu ʿalayhim thumma ʿamū wa‑ṣammū kathīrun minhum wallāhu baṣīrun bi‑mā yaʿmalūna
They thought there would be no trial (or punishment); so they became blind and deaf; yet Allah (in mercy) turned to them; yet again many of them became blind and deaf. But Allah sees well all that they do.

Surah 6 al-Anʿām (The Cattle)
(6:104)

قَدْ  جَآءَكُم  بَصَآئِرُ  مِن  رَّبِّكُمْ  فَمَنْ  أَبْصَرَ  فَلِنَفْسِهِۦ  وَمَنْ  عَمِىَ  فَعَلَيْهَا  وَمَآ  أَنَا۠  عَلَيْكُم  بِحَفِيظٍ qad jāʾakum baṣāʾiru min rabbikum fa‑man abṣara fa‑li‑nafsihi wa‑man ʿamiya fa‑ʿalayhā wa‑mā anā ʿalaykum bi‑ḥafīẓin
"Now have come to you, from your Lord, proofs (to open your eyes): if any will see, it will be for (the good of) his own soul; if any will be blind, it will be to his own (harm): I am not (here) to watch over your doings."

Surah 11 Hūd (Hud)
(11:28)

قَالَ  يَٰقَوْمِ  أَرَءَيْتُمْ  إِن  كُنتُ  عَلَىٰ  بَيِّنَةٍ  مِّن  رَّبِّى  وَءَاتَىٰنِى  رَحْمَةً  مِّنْ  عِندِهِۦ  فَعُمِّيَتْ  عَلَيْكُمْ  أَنُلْزِمُكُمُوهَا  وَأَنتُمْ  لَهَا  كَٰرِهُونَ qalā yā‑qawmi a‑raʾaytum in kuntu ʿalā bayyinatin min rrabbī wa‑ātānī raḥmatan min ʿindihi fa‑ʿummiyat ʿalaykum a‑nulzimukumūhā wa‑antum lahā kārihūna
He said: "O my people! See ye if (it be that) I have a Clear Sign from my Lord, and that He hath sent Mercy unto me from His own presence, but that the Mercy hath been obscured from your sight? shall we compel you to accept it when ye are averse to it?

Surah 22 al-Ḥajj (The Pilgrimage)
(22:46)

أَفَلَمْ  يَسِيرُوا۟  فِى  ٱلْأَرْضِ  فَتَكُونَ  لَهُمْ  قُلُوبٌ  يَعْقِلُونَ  بِهَآ  أَوْ  ءَاذَانٌ  يَسْمَعُونَ  بِهَا  فَإِنَّهَا  لَا  تَعْمَى  ٱلْأَبْصَٰرُ  وَلَٰكِن  تَعْمَى  ٱلْقُلُوبُ  ٱلَّتِى  فِى  ٱلصُّدُورِ a‑fa‑lam yasīrū l‑arḍi fa‑takūna lahum qulūbun yaʿqilūna bihā aw ādhānun yasmaʿūna bihā fainnahā taʿma l‑abṣāru wa‑lākin taʿma l‑qulūbu allatī l‑ṣudūri
Do they not travel through the land, so that their hearts (and minds) may thus learn wisdom and their ears may thus learn to hear? Truly it is not their eyes that are blind, but their hearts which are in their breasts.

Surah 28 al-Qaṣaṣ (The Narrative)
(28:66)

فَعَمِيَتْ  عَلَيْهِمُ  ٱلْأَنۢبَآءُ  يَوْمَئِذٍ  فَهُمْ  لَا  يَتَسَآءَلُونَ fa‑ʿamiyat ʿalayhimu l‑anbāʾu yawmaʾidhin fa‑hum yatasāʾalūna
Then the (whole) story that Day will seem obscure to them (like light to the blind) and they will not be able (even) to question each other.

Surah 47 Muḥammad (Muhammad)
(47:23)

أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ  ٱلَّذِينَ  لَعَنَهُمُ  ٱللَّـهُ  فَأَصَمَّهُمْ  وَأَعْمَىٰٓ  أَبْصَٰرَهُمْ ulāʾika lladhīna laʿanahumu allāhu fa‑aṣammahum wa‑aʿmā abṣārahum
Such are the men whom Allah has cursed for He has made them deaf and blinded their sight.
