Surah 2 al-Baqara (The Cow)

(2:67)

وَإِذْ  قَالَ  مُوسَىٰ  لِقَوْمِهِۦٓ  إِنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  يَأْمُرُكُمْ  أَن  تَذْبَحُوا۟  بَقَرَةً  قَالُوٓا۟  أَتَتَّخِذُنَا  هُزُوًا  قَالَ  أَعُوذُ  بِٱللَّـهِ  أَنْ  أَكُونَ  مِنَ  ٱلْجَٰهِلِينَ wa‑idh qalā mūsā li‑qawmihi inna allāha yaʾmurukum an tadhbaḥū baqaratan qālū atattakhidhunā huzuwan qalā aʿūdhu billāhi an akūna mina l‑jāhilīna
And remember Moses said to his people: "Allah commands that ye sacrifice a heifer." They said: "Makest thou a laughing-stock of us?" He said: "Allah save me from being an ignorant (fool)!"

Surah 3 Āl-ʿImrān (The Family of Imran)
(3:36)

فَلَمَّا  وَضَعَتْهَا  قَالَتْ  رَبِّ  إِنِّى  وَضَعْتُهَآ  أُنثَىٰ  وَٱللَّـهُ  أَعْلَمُ  بِمَا  وَضَعَتْ  وَلَيْسَ  ٱلذَّكَرُ  كَٱلْأُنثَىٰ  وَإِنِّى  سَمَّيْتُهَا  مَرْيَمَ  وَإِنِّىٓ  أُعِيذُهَا  بِكَ  وَذُرِّيَّتَهَا  مِنَ  ٱلشَّيْطَٰنِ  ٱلرَّجِيمِ fa‑lammā waḍaʿathā qālat rabbi innī waḍaʿtuhā unthā wallāhu aʿlamu bi‑mā waḍaʿat walaysa l‑dhakaru kal‑untha wa‑innī sammaytuhā maryama wainnī uʿīdhuhā bika wa‑dhurriyyatahā mina l‑shayṭāni l‑rajīmi
When she was delivered, she said: "O my Lord! Behold! I am delivered of a female child!"- and Allah knew best what she brought forth- "And no wise is the male Like the female. I have named her Mary, and I commend her and her offspring to Thy protection from the Evil One, the Rejected."

Surah 7 al-Aʿrāf (The Heights)
(7:200)

وَإِمَّا  يَنزَغَنَّكَ  مِنَ  ٱلشَّيْطَٰنِ  نَزْغٌ  فَٱسْتَعِذْ  بِٱللَّـهِ  إِنَّهُۥ  سَمِيعٌ  عَلِيمٌ wa‑immā yanzaghannaka mina l‑shayṭāni nazghun fa‑istaʿidh billāhi innahu samīʿun ʿalīmun
If a suggestion from Satan assail thy (mind), seek refuge with Allah; for He heareth and knoweth (all things).

Surah 11 Hūd (Hud)
(11:47)

قَالَ  رَبِّ  إِنِّىٓ  أَعُوذُ  بِكَ  أَنْ  أَسْـَٔلَكَ  مَا  لَيْسَ  لِى  بِهِۦ  عِلْمٌ  وَإِلَّا  تَغْفِرْ  لِى  وَتَرْحَمْنِىٓ  أَكُن  مِّنَ  ٱلْخَٰسِرِينَ qalā rabbi innī aʿūdhu bika an asʾalaka laysa bihi ʿilmun wa‑illā taghfir wa‑tarḥamnī akun mina l‑khāsirīna
Noah said: "O my Lord! I do seek refuge with Thee, lest I ask Thee for that of which I have no knowledge. And unless thou forgive me and have Mercy on me, I should indeed be lost!"

Surah 16 al-Naḥl (The Bee)
(16:98)

فَإِذَا  قَرَأْتَ  ٱلْقُرْءَانَ  فَٱسْتَعِذْ  بِٱللَّـهِ  مِنَ  ٱلشَّيْطَٰنِ  ٱلرَّجِيمِ fa‑idhā qaraʾta l‑qurʾāna fa‑istaʿidh billāhi mina l‑shayṭāni l‑rajīmi
When thou dost read the Qur'an, seek Allah's protection from Satan the rejected one.

Surah 19 Maryam (Mary)
(19:18)

قَالَتْ  إِنِّىٓ  أَعُوذُ  بِٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ  مِنكَ  إِن  كُنتَ  تَقِيًّا qālat innī aʿūdhu bil‑raḥmāni minka in kunta taqiyyan
She said: "I seek refuge from thee to (Allah) Most Gracious: (come not near) if thou dost fear Allah."

Surah 23 al-Muʾminūn (The Believers)
(23:97)

وَقُل  رَّبِّ  أَعُوذُ  بِكَ  مِنْ  هَمَزَٰتِ  ٱلشَّيَٰطِينِ wa‑qul rrabbi aʿūdhu bika min hamazāti l‑shayāṭīni
And say "O my Lord! I seek refuge with Thee from the suggestions of the Evil Ones.
(23:98)

وَأَعُوذُ  بِكَ  رَبِّ  أَن  يَحْضُرُونِ wa‑aʿūdhu bika rabbi an yaḥḍurūni
"And I seek refuge with Thee O my Lord! lest they should come near me."

Surah 40 al-Ghāfir (The Forgiving One)
(40:27)

وَقَالَ  مُوسَىٰٓ  إِنِّى  عُذْتُ  بِرَبِّى  وَرَبِّكُم  مِّن  كُلِّ  مُتَكَبِّرٍ  لَّا  يُؤْمِنُ  بِيَوْمِ  ٱلْحِسَابِ wa‑qāla mūsā innī ʿudhtu bi‑rabbī wa‑rabbikum min kulli mutakabbirin yuʾminū bi‑yawmi l‑ḥisābi
Moses said: "I have indeed called upon my Lord and your Lord (for protection) from every arrogant one who believes not in the Day of Account!"
(40:56)

إِنَّ  ٱلَّذِينَ  يُجَٰدِلُونَ  فِىٓ  ءَايَٰتِ  ٱللَّـهِ  بِغَيْرِ  سُلْطَٰنٍ  أَتَىٰهُمْ  إِن  فِى  صُدُورِهِمْ  إِلَّا  كِبْرٌ  مَّا  هُم  بِبَٰلِغِيهِ  فَٱسْتَعِذْ  بِٱللَّـهِ  إِنَّهُۥ  هُوَ  ٱلسَّمِيعُ  ٱلْبَصِيرُ inna lladhīna yujādilūna āyāti allāhi bi‑ghayri sulṭānin atāhum in ṣudūrihim illā kibrun hum bi‑bālighīhi fa‑istaʿidh billāhi innahu huwa l‑samīʿu l‑baṣīru
Those who dispute about the signs of Allah without any authority bestowed on them,- there is nothing in their breasts but (the quest of) greatness, which they shall never attain to: seek refuge, then, in Allah: It is He Who hears and sees (all things).

Surah 41 Fuṣṣilat (Revelations Well Expounded)
(41:36)

وَإِمَّا  يَنزَغَنَّكَ  مِنَ  ٱلشَّيْطَٰنِ  نَزْغٌ  فَٱسْتَعِذْ  بِٱللَّـهِ  إِنَّهُۥ  هُوَ  ٱلسَّمِيعُ  ٱلْعَلِيمُ wa‑immā yanzaghannaka mina l‑shayṭāni nazghun fa‑istaʿidh billāhi innahu huwa l‑samīʿu l‑ʿalīmu
And if (at any time) an incitement to discord is made to thee by the Evil One, seek refuge in Allah. He is the One Who hears and knows all things.

Surah 44 al-Dukhān (The Evident Smoke)
(44:20)

وَإِنِّى  عُذْتُ  بِرَبِّى  وَرَبِّكُمْ  أَن  تَرْجُمُونِ wa‑innī ʿudhtu bi‑rabbī wa‑rabbikum an tarjumūni
"For me, I have sought safety with my Lord and your Lord, against your injuring me.

Surah 113 al-Falaq (The Daybreak)
(113:1)

قُلْ  أَعُوذُ  بِرَبِّ  ٱلْفَلَقِ qul aʿūdhu bi‑rabbī l‑falaqi
Say: I seek refuge with the Lord of the Dawn

Surah 114 al-Nās (The Men)
(114:1)

قُلْ  أَعُوذُ  بِرَبِّ  ٱلنَّاسِ qul aʿūdhu bi‑rabbī l‑nāsi
Say: I seek refuge with the Lord and Cherisher of Mankind,
