Surah 2 al-Baqara (The Cow)

(2:50)

وَإِذْ  فَرَقْنَا  بِكُمُ  ٱلْبَحْرَ  فَأَنجَيْنَٰكُمْ  وَأَغْرَقْنَآ  ءَالَ  فِرْعَوْنَ  وَأَنتُمْ  تَنظُرُونَ wa‑idh faraqnā bikumu l‑baḥra fa‑anjaynākum wa‑aghraqnā āla firʿawna wa‑antum tanẓurūna
And remember We divided the sea for you and saved you and drowned Pharaoh's people within your very sight.

Surah 7 al-Aʿrāf (The Heights)
(7:64)

فَكَذَّبُوهُ  فَأَنجَيْنَٰهُ  وَٱلَّذِينَ  مَعَهُۥ  فِى  ٱلْفُلْكِ  وَأَغْرَقْنَا  ٱلَّذِينَ  كَذَّبُوا۟  بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ  إِنَّهُمْ  كَانُوا۟  قَوْمًا  عَمِينَ fa‑kadhdhabūhu fa‑anjaynāhu wa‑lladhīna maʿahu l‑fulki wa‑aghraqnā lladhīna kadhdhabū bi‑āyātinā innahum kānū qawman ʿamīna
But they rejected him, and We delivered him, and those with him, in the Ark: but We overwhelmed in the flood those who rejected Our signs. They were indeed a blind people!
(7:136)

فَٱنتَقَمْنَا  مِنْهُمْ  فَأَغْرَقْنَٰهُمْ  فِى  ٱلْيَمِّ  بِأَنَّهُمْ  كَذَّبُوا۟  بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا  وَكَانُوا۟  عَنْهَا  غَٰفِلِينَ fa‑intaqamnā minhum fa‑aghraqnāhum l‑yammi bi‑annahum kadhdhabū bi‑āyātinā wa‑kānū ʿanhā ghāfilīna
So We exacted retribution from them: We drowned them in the sea, because they rejected Our Signs and failed to take warning from them.

Surah 8 al-Anfāl (The Spoils of War)
(8:54)

كَدَأْبِ  ءَالِ  فِرْعَوْنَ  وَٱلَّذِينَ  مِن  قَبْلِهِمْ  كَذَّبُوا۟  بِـَٔايَٰتِ  رَبِّهِمْ  فَأَهْلَكْنَٰهُم  بِذُنُوبِهِمْ  وَأَغْرَقْنَآ  ءَالَ  فِرْعَوْنَ  وَكُلٌّ  كَانُوا۟  ظَٰلِمِينَ ka‑daʾbi āli firʿawna wa‑lladhīna min qablihim kadhdhabū bi‑āyāti rabbihim fa‑ahlaknāhum bi‑dhunūbihim wa‑aghraqnā āla firʿawna wakullun kānū ẓālimīna
(Deeds) after the manner of the people of Pharaoh and those before them": They treated as false the Signs of their Lord: so We destroyed them for their crimes, and We drowned the people of Pharaoh: for they were all oppressors and wrong-doers.

Surah 10 Yūnus (Jonah)
(10:73)

فَكَذَّبُوهُ  فَنَجَّيْنَٰهُ  وَمَن  مَّعَهُۥ  فِى  ٱلْفُلْكِ  وَجَعَلْنَٰهُمْ  خَلَٰٓئِفَ  وَأَغْرَقْنَا  ٱلَّذِينَ  كَذَّبُوا۟  بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا  فَٱنظُرْ  كَيْفَ  كَانَ  عَٰقِبَةُ  ٱلْمُنذَرِينَ fa‑kadhdhabūhu fa‑najjaynāhu wa‑man maʿahu l‑fulki wa‑jaʿalnāhum khalāʾifa wa‑aghraqnā lladhīna kadhdhabū bi‑āyātinā fa‑inẓur kayfa kāna ʿāqibatu l‑mundharīna
They rejected Him, but We delivered him, and those with him, in the Ark, and We made them inherit (the earth), while We overwhelmed in the flood those who rejected Our Signs. Then see what was the end of those who were warned (but heeded not)!

Surah 17 al-Isrāʾ (The Children of Israel)
(17:103)

فَأَرَادَ  أَن  يَسْتَفِزَّهُم  مِّنَ  ٱلْأَرْضِ  فَأَغْرَقْنَٰهُ  وَمَن  مَّعَهُۥ  جَمِيعًا faarāda an yastafizzahum mina l‑arḍi fa‑aghraqnāhu wa‑man maʿahu jamīʿan
So he resolved to remove them from the face of the earth: but We did drown him and all who were with him.

Surah 21 al-Anbiyāʾ (The Prophets)
(21:77)

وَنَصَرْنَٰهُ  مِنَ  ٱلْقَوْمِ  ٱلَّذِينَ  كَذَّبُوا۟  بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ  إِنَّهُمْ  كَانُوا۟  قَوْمَ  سَوْءٍ  فَأَغْرَقْنَٰهُمْ  أَجْمَعِينَ wa‑naṣarnāhu mina l‑qawmi lladhīna kadhdhabū bi‑āyātinā innahum kānū qawma sawʾin fa‑aghraqnāhum ajmaʿīna
We helped him against people who rejected Our Signs: truly they were a people given to Evil: so We drowned them (in the Flood) all together.

Surah 25 al-Furqān (The Criterion)
(25:37)

وَقَوْمَ  نُوحٍ  لَّمَّا  كَذَّبُوا۟  ٱلرُّسُلَ  أَغْرَقْنَٰهُمْ  وَجَعَلْنَٰهُمْ  لِلنَّاسِ  ءَايَةً  وَأَعْتَدْنَا  لِلظَّٰلِمِينَ  عَذَابًا  أَلِيمًا wa‑qawma nūḥin llammā kadhdhabū l‑rusula aghraqnāhum wa‑jaʿalnāhum lil‑nāsi āyatan wa‑aʿtadnā lil‑ẓālimīna ʿadhāban alīman
And the people of Noah,- when they rejected the messengers, We drowned them, and We made them as a Sign for mankind; and We have prepared for (all) wrong-doers a grievous Penalty;-

Surah 26 al-Shuʿarā (The Poets)
(26:66)

ثُمَّ  أَغْرَقْنَا  ٱلْءَاخَرِينَ thumma aghraqnā l‑ākharīna
But We drowned the others.
(26:120)

ثُمَّ  أَغْرَقْنَا  بَعْدُ  ٱلْبَاقِينَ thumma aghraqnā baʿdu l‑bāqīna
Thereafter We drowned those who remained behind.

Surah 29 al-ʿAnkabūt (The Spider)
(29:40)

فَكُلًّا  أَخَذْنَا  بِذَنۢبِهِۦ  فَمِنْهُم  مَّنْ  أَرْسَلْنَا  عَلَيْهِ  حَاصِبًا  وَمِنْهُم  مَّنْ  أَخَذَتْهُ  ٱلصَّيْحَةُ  وَمِنْهُم  مَّنْ  خَسَفْنَا  بِهِ  ٱلْأَرْضَ  وَمِنْهُم  مَّنْ  أَغْرَقْنَا  وَمَا  كَانَ  ٱللَّـهُ  لِيَظْلِمَهُمْ  وَلَٰكِن  كَانُوٓا۟  أَنفُسَهُمْ  يَظْلِمُونَ fakullan akhadhnā bi‑dhanbihi fa‑minhum man arsalnā ʿalayhi ḥāṣiban wa‑minhum man akhadhathu l‑ṣayḥatu wa‑minhum man khasafnā bihi l‑arḍa wa‑minhum man aghraqnā wa‑mā kāna allāhu li‑yaẓlimahum wa‑lākin kānū anfusahum yaẓlimūna
Each one of them We seized for his crime: of them, against some We sent a violent tornado (with showers of stones); some were caught by a (mighty) Blast; some We caused the earth to swallow up; and some We drowned (in the waters): It was not Allah Who injured (or oppressed) them:" They injured (and oppressed) their own souls.

Surah 36 Yā Sin (Ya Sin)
(36:43)

وَإِن  نَّشَأْ  نُغْرِقْهُمْ  فَلَا  صَرِيخَ  لَهُمْ  وَلَا  هُمْ  يُنقَذُونَ wa‑in nashaʾ nughriqhum fa‑lā ṣarīkha lahum wa‑lā hum yunqadhūna
If it were Our Will, We could drown them: then would there be no helper (to hear their cry), nor could they be delivered,

Surah 37 al-Ṣaffāt (The Rangers)
(37:82)

ثُمَّ  أَغْرَقْنَا  ٱلْءَاخَرِينَ thumma aghraqnā l‑ākharīna
Then the rest we overwhelmed in the Flood.

Surah 43 al-Zukhruf (The Embellishment)
(43:55)

فَلَمَّآ  ءَاسَفُونَا  ٱنتَقَمْنَا  مِنْهُمْ  فَأَغْرَقْنَٰهُمْ  أَجْمَعِينَ fa‑lammā āsafūnā intaqamnā minhum fa‑aghraqnāhum ajmaʿīna
When at length they provoked Us, We exacted retribution from them, and We drowned them all.

Surah 71 Nūḥ (Noah)
(71:25)

مِّمَّا  خَطِيٓـَٰٔتِهِمْ  أُغْرِقُوا۟  فَأُدْخِلُوا۟  نَارًا  فَلَمْ  يَجِدُوا۟  لَهُم  مِّن  دُونِ  ٱللَّـهِ  أَنصَارًا mimmā khaṭīātihim ughriqū fa‑udkhilū nāran fa‑lam yajidū lahum min dūni allāhi anṣāran
Because of their sins they were drowned (in the flood), and were made to enter the Fire (of Punishment): and they found- in lieu of Allah- none to help them.
