RefArabic    TransliterationTranslation
(2:199)

Then pass on at a quick pace from the place whence it is usual for the multitude so to do, and ask for Allah's forgiveness. For Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.
(2:286)

لَا  يُكَلِّفُ  ٱللَّـهُ  نَفْسًا  إِلَّا  وُسْعَهَا  لَهَا  مَا  كَسَبَتْ  وَعَلَيْهَا  مَا  ٱكْتَسَبَتْ  رَبَّنَا  لَا  تُؤَاخِذْنَآ  إِن  نَّسِينَآ  أَوْ  أَخْطَأْنَا  رَبَّنَا  وَلَا  تَحْمِلْ  عَلَيْنَآ  إِصْرًا  كَمَا  حَمَلْتَهُۥ  عَلَى  ٱلَّذِينَ  مِن  قَبْلِنَا  رَبَّنَا  وَلَا  تُحَمِّلْنَا  مَا  لَا  طَاقَةَ  لَنَا  بِهِۦ  وَٱعْفُ  عَنَّا  وَٱغْفِرْ  لَنَا  وَٱرْحَمْنَآ  أَنتَ  مَوْلَىٰنَا  فَٱنصُرْنَا  عَلَى  ٱلْقَوْمِ  ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ yukallifu allāhu nafsan illā wusʿahā lahā kasabat wa‑ʿalayhā aktasabat rabbanā tuʾākhidhnā in nasīnā aw akhṭanā rabbanā wa‑lā taḥmil ʿalaynā iṣran ka‑mā ḥamaltahu ʿalā lladhīna min qablinā rabbanā wa‑lā tuḥammilnā ṭāqata la‑nā bihi wa‑aʿfu ʿannā wa‑aghfir la‑nā wa‑arḥamnā anta mawlanā fa‑anṣurnā ʿalā l‑qawmi l‑kāfirīna
On no soul doth Allah Place a burden greater than it can bear. It gets every good that it earns, and it suffers every ill that it earns. (Pray:) "Our Lord! Condemn us not if we forget or fall into error; our Lord! Lay not on us a burden Like that which Thou didst lay on those before us; Our Lord! Lay not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear. Blot out our sins, and grant us forgiveness. Have mercy on us. Thou art our Protector; Help us against those who stand against faith."

Surah 3 Āl-ʿImrān (The Family of Imran)

(Namely), those who say: "Our Lord! we have indeed believed: forgive us, then, our sins, and save us from the agony of the Fire;"-
(3:147)

وَمَا  كَانَ  قَوْلَهُمْ  إِلَّآ  أَن  قَالُوا۟  رَبَّنَا  ٱغْفِرْ  لَنَا  ذُنُوبَنَا  وَإِسْرَافَنَا  فِىٓ  أَمْرِنَا  وَثَبِّتْ  أَقْدَامَنَا  وَٱنصُرْنَا  عَلَى  ٱلْقَوْمِ  ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ wa‑mā kāna qawlahum illā an qālū rabbanā aghfir la‑nā dhunūbanā waisrāfanā amrinā wa‑thabbit aqdāmanā wa‑anṣurnā ʿalā l‑qawmi l‑kāfirīna

It is part of the Mercy of Allah that thou dost deal gently with them Wert thou severe or harsh-hearted, they would have broken away from about thee: so pass over (Their faults), and ask for (Allah's) forgiveness for them; and consult them in affairs (of moment). Then, when thou hast Taken a decision put thy trust in Allah. For Allah loves those who put their trust (in Him).
(3:193)

فَٱعْلَمْ  أَنَّهُۥ  لَآ  إِلَٰهَ  إِلَّا  ٱللَّـهُ  وَٱسْتَغْفِرْ  لِذَنۢبِكَ  وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ  وَٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتِ  وَٱللَّـهُ  يَعْلَمُ  مُتَقَلَّبَكُمْ  وَمَثْوَىٰكُمْ fa‑iʿlam annahu ilāha illā allāhu wa‑istaghfir li‑dhanbika wa‑lil‑muʾminīna wa‑l‑muʾmināti wallāhu yaʿlamu mutaqallabakum wa‑mathwākum
Know, therefore, that there is no god but Allah, and ask forgiveness for thy fault, and for the men and women who believe: for Allah knows how ye move about and how ye dwell in your homes.

Surah 48 al-Fatḥ (The Victory)
(48:11)

سَيَقُولُ  لَكَ  ٱلْمُخَلَّفُونَ  مِنَ  ٱلْأَعْرَابِ  شَغَلَتْنَآ  أَمْوَٰلُنَا  وَأَهْلُونَا  فَٱسْتَغْفِرْ  لَنَا  يَقُولُونَ  بِأَلْسِنَتِهِم  مَّا  لَيْسَ  فِى  قُلُوبِهِمْ  قُلْ  فَمَن  يَمْلِكُ  لَكُم  مِّنَ  ٱللَّـهِ  شَيْـًٔا  إِنْ  أَرَادَ  بِكُمْ  ضَرًّا  أَوْ  أَرَادَ  بِكُمْ  نَفْعًۢا  بَلْ  كَانَ  ٱللَّـهُ  بِمَا  تَعْمَلُونَ  خَبِيرًۢا sa‑yaqūlu la‑ka l‑mukhallafūna mina l‑aʿrābi shaghalatnā amwālunā wa‑ahlūnā fastaghfir la‑nā yaqūlūna bi‑alsinatihim laysa qulūbihim qul fa‑man yamliku la‑kum mina allāhi shayʾan in arāda bikum ḍarran aw arāda bikum nafʿan bal kāna allāhu bi‑mā taʿmalūna khabīran
The desert Arabs who lagged behind will say to thee: "We were engaged in (looking after) our flocks and herds, and our families: do thou then ask forgiveness for us." They say with their tongues what is not in their hearts. Say: "Who then has any power at all (to intervene) on your behalf with Allah, if His Will is to give you some loss or to give you some profit? But Allah is well acquainted with all that ye do.

Surah 59 al-Ḥashr (The Exile)
(59:10)

And those who came after them say: "Our Lord! Forgive us, and our brethren who came before us into the Faith, and leave not, in our hearts, rancour (or sense of injury) against those who have believed. Our Lord! Thou art indeed Full of Kindness, Most Merciful."

Surah 60 al-Mumtaḥanah (She Who is Tested)
(60:5)

"Our Lord! Make us not a (test and) trial for the Unbelievers, but forgive us, our Lord! for Thou art the Exalted in Might, the Wise."
(60:12)

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا  ٱلنَّبِىُّ  إِذَا  جَآءَكَ  ٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتُ  يُبَايِعْنَكَ  عَلَىٰٓ  أَن  لَّا  يُشْرِكْنَ  بِٱللَّـهِ  شَيْـًٔا  وَلَا  يَسْرِقْنَ  وَلَا  يَزْنِينَ  وَلَا  يَقْتُلْنَ  أَوْلَٰدَهُنَّ  وَلَا  يَأْتِينَ  بِبُهْتَٰنٍ  يَفْتَرِينَهُۥ  بَيْنَ  أَيْدِيهِنَّ  وَأَرْجُلِهِنَّ  وَلَا  يَعْصِينَكَ  فِى  مَعْرُوفٍ  فَبَايِعْهُنَّ  وَٱسْتَغْفِرْ  لَهُنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  إِنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  غَفُورٌ  رَّحِيمٌ yā‑ayyuhā l‑nabiyyu idhā jāʾaka l‑muʾminātu yubāyiʿnaka ʿala an yushrikna billāhi shayʾan wa‑lā yasriqna wa‑lā yaznīna wa‑lā yaqtulna awlādahunna wa‑lā yaʾtīna bi‑buhtānin yaftarīnahu bayna aydīhinna wa‑arjulihinna wa‑lā yaʿṣīnaka maʿrūfin fa‑bāyiʿhunna wa‑istaghfir la‑hunna allāha inna allāha ghafūrun raḥīmun
O Prophet! When believing women come to thee to take the oath of fealty to thee, that they will not associate in worship any other thing whatever with Allah, that they will not steal, that they will not commit adultery (or fornication), that they will not kill their children, that they will not utter slander, intentionally forging falsehood, and that they will not disobey thee in any just matter,- then do thou receive their fealty, and pray to Allah for the forgiveness (of their sins): for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Surah 63 al-Munāfiqūn (The Hypocrites)
(63:6)

سَوَآءٌ  عَلَيْهِمْ  أَسْتَغْفَرْتَ  لَهُمْ  أَمْ  لَمْ  تَسْتَغْفِرْ  لَهُمْ  لَن  يَغْفِرَ  ٱللَّـهُ  لَهُمْ  إِنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  لَا  يَهْدِى  ٱلْقَوْمَ  ٱلْفَٰسِقِينَ sawāʾun ʿalayhim a‑staghfarta lahum am lam tastaghfir lahum lan yaghfira allāhu lahum inna allāha yahdī l‑qawma l‑fāsiqīna
It is equal to them whether thou pray for their forgiveness or not. Allah will not forgive them. Truly Allah guides not rebellious transgressors.

Surah 64 al-Taghābun (The Cheating)
(64:14)

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا  ٱلَّذِينَ  ءَامَنُوٓا۟  إِنَّ  مِنْ  أَزْوَٰجِكُمْ  وَأَوْلَٰدِكُمْ  عَدُوًّا  لَّكُمْ  فَٱحْذَرُوهُمْ  وَإِن  تَعْفُوا۟  وَتَصْفَحُوا۟  وَتَغْفِرُوا۟  فَإِنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  غَفُورٌ  رَّحِيمٌ yā‑ayyuhā lladhīna āmanū inna min azwājikum wa‑awlādikum ʿadūwan la‑kum fa‑iḥdharūhum wa‑in taʿfū wa‑taṣfaḥū wa‑taghfirū fa‑inna allāha ghafūrun raḥīmun
O ye who believe! Truly, among your wives and your children are (some that are) enemies to yourselves: so beware of them! But if ye forgive and overlook, and cover up (their faults), verily Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Surah 66 al-Taḥrīm (The Prohibition)
(66:8)

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا  ٱلَّذِينَ  ءَامَنُوا۟  تُوبُوٓا۟  إِلَى  ٱللَّـهِ  تَوْبَةً  نَّصُوحًا  عَسَىٰ  رَبُّكُمْ  أَن  يُكَفِّرَ  عَنكُمْ  سَيِّـَٔاتِكُمْ  وَيُدْخِلَكُمْ  جَنَّٰتٍ  تَجْرِى  مِن  تَحْتِهَا  ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ  يَوْمَ  لَا  يُخْزِى  ٱللَّـهُ  ٱلنَّبِىَّ  وَٱلَّذِينَ  ءَامَنُوا۟  مَعَهُۥ  نُورُهُمْ  يَسْعَىٰ  بَيْنَ  أَيْدِيهِمْ  وَبِأَيْمَٰنِهِمْ  يَقُولُونَ  رَبَّنَآ  أَتْمِمْ  لَنَا  نُورَنَا  وَٱغْفِرْ  لَنَآ  إِنَّكَ  عَلَىٰ  كُلِّ  شَىْءٍ  قَدِيرٌ yā‑ayyuhā lladhīna āmanū tūbū ilā allāhi tawbatan nnaṣūḥan ʿasā rabbukum an yukaffira ʿankum sayyiʾātikum wa‑yudkhilakum jannātin tajrī min taḥtihā l‑anhāru yawma yukhzī allāhu l‑nabiyya wa‑lladhīna āmanū maʿahu nūruhum yasʿā bayna aydīhim wa‑biaymānihim yaqūlūna rabbanā atmim la‑nā nūranā wa‑aghfir lanā innaka ʿalā kulli shayʾin qadīrun
O ye who believe! Turn to Allah with sincere repentance: In the hope that your Lord will remove from you your ills and admit you to Gardens beneath which Rivers flow,- the Day that Allah will not permit to be humiliated the Prophet and those who believe with him. Their Light will run forward before them and by their right hands, while they say, "Our Lord! Perfect our Light for us, and grant us Forgiveness: for Thou hast power over all things."

Surah 71 Nūḥ (Noah)
(71:7)

"And every time I have called to them, that Thou mightest forgive them, they have (only) thrust their fingers into their ears, covered themselves up with their garments, grown obstinate, and given themselves up to arrogance.

Surah 73 al-Muzzammil (The Mantled One)

Thy Lord doth know that thou standest forth (to prayer) nigh two-thirds of the night, or half the night, or a third of the night, and so doth a party of those with thee. But Allah doth appoint night and day in due measure He knoweth that ye are unable to keep count thereof. So He hath turned to you (in mercy): read ye, therefore, of the Qur'an as much as may be easy for you. He knoweth that there may be (some) among you in ill-health; others travelling through the land, seeking of Allah's bounty; yet others fighting in Allah's Cause, read ye, therefore, as much of the Qur'an as may be easy (for you); and establish regular Prayer and give regular Charity; and loan to Allah a Beautiful Loan. And whatever good ye send forth for your souls ye shall find it in Allah's Presence,- yea, better and greater, in Reward and seek ye the Grace of Allah: for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Surah 110 al-Naṣr (The Help)
(110:3)

Celebrate the praises of thy Lord, and pray for His Forgiveness: For He is Oft-Returning (in Grace and Mercy).
