Sura al-Aʿrāf 7:92

ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ شُعَيْبًا كَأَن لَّمْ يَغْنَوْا۟ فِيهَا ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ شُعَيْبًا كَانُوا۟ هُمُ ٱلْخَٰسِرِينَ

lladhīna kadhdhabū shuʿayban ka-an lam yaghnaw fīhā lladhīna kadhdhabū shuʿayban kānū humu l-khāsirīna

The men who reject Shu'aib became as if they had never been in the homes where they had flourished: the men who rejected Shu'aib - it was they who were ruined!

Sura Hūd 11:68

كَأَن لَّمْ يَغْنَوْا۟ فِيهَآ أَلَآ إِنَّ ثَمُودَا۟ كَفَرُوا۟ رَبَّهُمْ أَلَا بُعْدًا لِّثَمُودَ

ka-an lam yaghnaw fīhā āla inna thamūdā kafarū rabbahum āla buʿdan li-thamūda

As if they had never dwelt and flourished there. Ah! Behold! for the Thamud rejected their Lord and Cherisher! Ah! Behold! removed (from sight) were the Thamud!

Sura Hūd 11:95

كَأَن لَّمْ يَغْنَوْا۟ فِيهَآ أَلَا بُعْدًا لِّمَدْيَنَ كَمَا بَعِدَتْ ثَمُودُ

ka-an lam yaghnaw fīhā āla buʿdan li-madyana ka-mā baʿidat thamūdu

As if they had never dwelt and flourished there! Ah! Behold! How the Madyan were removed (from sight) as were removed the Thamud!

Sura al-Jāthiyah 45:19

إِنَّهُمْ لَن يُغْنُوا۟ عَنكَ مِنَ ٱللَّـهِ شَيْـًٔا وَإِنَّ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَآءُ بَعْضٍ وَٱللَّـهُ وَلِىُّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ

innahum lan yughnū ʿanka mina allāhi shayʾan wa-inna l-ẓālimīna baʿḍuhum awliyāʾu baʿḍin wallāhu waliyyu l-muttaqīna

They will be of no use to thee in the sight of Allah: it is only Wrong-doers (that stand as) protectors, one to another: but Allah is the Protector of the Righteous.
