Sura al-Ḥijr 15:39

قَالَ رَبِّ بِمَآ أَغْوَيْتَنِى لَأُزَيِّنَنَّ لَهُمْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَأُغْوِيَنَّهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ

qalā rabbi bimā aghwaytanī la-uzayyinanna lahum fī l-arḍi wa-la-ughwiyannahum ajmaʿīna

(Iblis) said: "O my Lord! because Thou hast put me in the wrong, I will make (wrong) fair-seeming to them on the earth, and I will put them all in the wrong,-

Sura al-Qaṣaṣ 28:63

قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ حَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْقَوْلُ رَبَّنَا هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ ٱلَّذِينَ أَغْوَيْنَآ أَغْوَيْنَٰهُمْ كَمَا غَوَيْنَا تَبَرَّأْنَآ إِلَيْكَ مَا كَانُوٓا۟ إِيَّانَا يَعْبُدُونَ

qalā lladhīna ḥaqqa ʿalayhimu l-qawlu rabbanā hāʾulāʾi lladhīna aghwaynā aghwaynāhum ka-mā ghawaynā tabarranā ilayka mā kānū iyyānā yaʿbudūna

Those against whom the charge will be proved, will say: "Our Lord! These are the ones whom we led astray: we led them astray, as we were astray ourselves: we free ourselves (from them) in Thy presence: it was not us they worshipped."

Sura al-Ṣaffāt 37:32

فَأَغْوَيْنَٰكُمْ إِنَّا كُنَّا غَٰوِينَ

fa-aghwaynākum innā kunnā ghāwīna

"We led you astray: for truly we were ourselves astray."

Sura Ṣād 38:82

قَالَ فَبِعِزَّتِكَ لَأُغْوِيَنَّهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ

qalā fa-bi-ʿizzatika la-ughwiyannahum ajmaʿīna

(Iblis) said: "Then, by Thy power, I will put them all in the wrong,-
