But when they forgot the warning they had received, We opened to them the gates of all (good) things, until, in the midst of their enjoyment of Our gifts, on a sudden, We called them to account, when lo! they were plunged in despair!

Surah 7 al-Aʿrāf (The Heights)
(7:96)

وَلَوْ  أَنَّ  أَهْلَ  ٱلْقُرَىٰٓ  ءَامَنُوا۟  وَٱتَّقَوْا۟  لَفَتَحْنَا  عَلَيْهِم  بَرَكَٰتٍ  مِّنَ  ٱلسَّمَآءِ  وَٱلْأَرْضِ  وَلَٰكِن  كَذَّبُوا۟  فَأَخَذْنَٰهُم  بِمَا  كَانُوا۟  يَكْسِبُونَ wa‑law annā ahla al‑qura āmanū wa‑ittaqaw la‑fataḥnā ʿalayhim barakātin mina l‑samāʾi wa‑l‑arḍi wa‑lākin kadhdhabū fa‑akhadhnāhum bi‑mā kānū yaksibūna
If the people of the towns had but believed and feared Allah, We should indeed have opened out to them (All kinds of) blessings from heaven and earth; but they rejected (the truth), and We brought them to book for their misdeeds.

إِن  تَسْتَفْتِحُوا۟  فَقَدْ  جَآءَكُمُ  ٱلْفَتْحُ  وَإِن  تَنتَهُوا۟  فَهُوَ  خَيْرٌ  لَّكُمْ  وَإِن  تَعُودُوا۟  نَعُدْ  وَلَن  تُغْنِىَ  عَنكُمْ  فِئَتُكُمْ  شَيْـًٔا  وَلَوْ  كَثُرَتْ  وَأَنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  مَعَ  ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ in tastaftiḥū fa‑qad jāakumu l‑fatḥu wa‑in tantahū fa‑huwa khayrun la‑kum wa‑in taʿūdū naʿud wa‑lan tughniya ʿankum fiʾatukum shayʾan wa‑law kathurat wa‑anna allāha maʿa l‑muʾminīna
(O Unbelievers!) if ye prayed for victory and judgment, now hath the judgment come to you: if ye desist (from wrong), it will be best for you: if ye return (to the attack), so shall We. Not the least good will your forces be to you even if they were multiplied: for verily Allah is with those who believe!

Then when they opened their baggage, they found their stock-in-trade had been returned to them. They said: "O our father! What (more) can we desire? this our stock-in-trade has been returned to us: so we shall get (more) food for our family; We shall take care of our brother; and add (at the same time) a full camel's load (of grain to our provisions). This is but a small quantity.
