Surah 6 al-Anʿām (The Cattle)

(6:61)

وَهُوَ  ٱلْقَاهِرُ  فَوْقَ  عِبَادِهِۦ  وَيُرْسِلُ  عَلَيْكُمْ  حَفَظَةً  حَتَّىٰٓ  إِذَا  جَآءَ  أَحَدَكُمُ  ٱلْمَوْتُ  تَوَفَّتْهُ  رُسُلُنَا  وَهُمْ  لَا  يُفَرِّطُونَ wa‑huwa l‑qāhiru fawqa ʿibādihi wa‑yursilu ʿalaykum ḥafaẓatan ḥatta idhā jāa aḥadakumu l‑mawtu tawaffathu rusulunā wa‑hum yufarriṭūna
He is the irresistible, (watching) from above over His worshippers, and He sets guardians over you. At length, when death approaches one of you, Our angels take his soul, and they never fail in their duty.

Surah 12 Yūsuf (Joseph)
(12:80)

فَلَمَّا  ٱسْتَيْـَٔسُوا۟  مِنْهُ  خَلَصُوا۟  نَجِيًّا  قَالَ  كَبِيرُهُمْ  أَلَمْ  تَعْلَمُوٓا۟  أَنَّ  أَبَاكُمْ  قَدْ  أَخَذَ  عَلَيْكُم  مَّوْثِقًا  مِّنَ  ٱللَّـهِ  وَمِن  قَبْلُ  مَا  فَرَّطتُمْ  فِى  يُوسُفَ  فَلَنْ  أَبْرَحَ  ٱلْأَرْضَ  حَتَّىٰ  يَأْذَنَ  لِىٓ  أَبِىٓ  أَوْ  يَحْكُمَ  ٱللَّـهُ  لِى  وَهُوَ  خَيْرُ  ٱلْحَٰكِمِينَ fa‑lammā istayʾasū minhu khalaṣū najiyyan qalā kabīruhum a‑lam taʿlamū annā abākum qad akhadha ʿalaykum mawthiqan mina allāhi wa‑min qablu farraṭtum yūsufa falan abraḥa l‑arḍa ḥattā yadhana abī aw yaḥkuma allāhu wa‑huwa khayru l‑ḥākimīna
Now when they saw no hope of his (yielding), they held a conference in private. The leader among them said: "Know ye not that your father did take an oath from you in Allah's name, and how, before this, ye did fail in your duty with Joseph? Therefore will I not leave this land until my father permits me, or Allah commands me; and He is the best to command.

Surah 20 Ṭā Hā (Ta-Ha)
(20:45)

قَالَا  رَبَّنَآ  إِنَّنَا  نَخَافُ  أَن  يَفْرُطَ  عَلَيْنَآ  أَوْ  أَن  يَطْغَىٰ qalā rabbanā innanā nakhāfu an yafruṭa ʿalaynā aw an yaṭgha
They (Moses and Aaron) said: "Our Lord! We fear lest he hasten with insolence against us, or lest he transgress all bounds."
