Sura al-Baqara 2:27

ٱلَّذِينَ يَنقُضُونَ عَهْدَ ٱللَّـهِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مِيثَٰقِهِۦ وَيَقْطَعُونَ مَآ أَمَرَ ٱللَّـهُ بِهِۦٓ أَن يُوصَلَ وَيُفْسِدُونَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْخَٰسِرُونَ

lladhīna yanquḍūna ʿahda allāhi min baʿdi mīthāqihi wa-yaqṭaʿūna mā amara allāhu bihi an yūṣala wa-yufsidūna fī l-arḍi ulāʾika humu l-khāsirūna

Those who break Allah's Covenant after it is ratified, and who sunder what Allah Has ordered to be joined, and do mischief on earth: These cause loss (only) to themselves.

Sura al-Baqara 2:30

وَإِذْ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ إِنِّى جَاعِلٌ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ خَلِيفَةً قَالُوٓا۟ أَتَجْعَلُ فِيهَا مَن يُفْسِدُ فِيهَا وَيَسْفِكُ ٱلدِّمَآءَ وَنَحْنُ نُسَبِّحُ بِحَمْدِكَ وَنُقَدِّسُ لَكَ قَالَ إِنِّىٓ أَعْلَمُ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ

wa-idh qalā rabbuka lil-malāʾikati innī jāʿilun fī l-arḍi khalīfatan qālū atajʿalu fīhā man yufsidu fīhā wa-yasfiku l-dimāʾa wa-naḥnu nusabbiḥu biḥamdika wa-nuqaddisu la-ka qalā innī aʿlamu mā lā taʿlamūna

Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: "I will create a vicegerent on earth." They said: "Wilt Thou place therein one who will make mischief therein and shed blood?- whilst we do celebrate Thy praises and glorify Thy holy (name)?" He said: "I know what ye know not."

Sura al-Baqara 2:205

وَإِذَا تَوَلَّىٰ سَعَىٰ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ لِيُفْسِدَ فِيهَا وَيُهْلِكَ ٱلْحَرْثَ وَٱلنَّسْلَ وَٱللَّـهُ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلْفَسَادَ

wa-idhā tawalla saʿā fī l-arḍi li-yufsida fīhā wa-yuhlika l-ḥartha wa-l-nasla wallāhu lā yuḥibbu l-fasāda

When he turns his back, His aim everywhere is to spread mischief through the earth and destroy crops and cattle. But Allah loveth not mischief.

Sura al-Baqara 2:251

فَهَزَمُوهُم بِإِذْنِ ٱللَّـهِ وَقَتَلَ دَاوُۥدُ جَالُوتَ وَءَاتَىٰهُ ٱللَّـهُ ٱلْمُلْكَ وَٱلْحِكْمَةَ وَعَلَّمَهُۥ مِمَّا يَشَآءُ وَلَوْلَا دَفْعُ ٱللَّـهِ ٱلنَّاسَ بَعْضَهُم بِبَعْضٍ لَّفَسَدَتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ ذُو فَضْلٍ عَلَى ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

fa-hazamūhum bi-idhni allāhi wa-qatala dāwudu jālūta wa-ātahu allāhu l-mulka wa-l-ḥikmata wa-ʿallamahu mimmā yashāʾu wa-lawlā dafʿu allāhi l-nāsa baʿḍahum bi-baʿḍin la-fasadati l-arḍu wa-lākinna allāha dhū faḍlin ʿalā l-ʿālamīna

By Allah's will they routed them; and David slew Goliath; and Allah gave him power and wisdom and taught him whatever (else) He willed. And did not Allah Check one set of people by means of another, the earth would indeed be full of mischief: But Allah is full of bounty to all the worlds.

Sura al-Aʿrāf 7:127

وَقَالَ ٱلْمَلَأُ مِن قَوْمِ فِرْعَوْنَ أَتَذَرُ مُوسَىٰ وَقَوْمَهُۥ لِيُفْسِدُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَيَذَرَكَ وَءَالِهَتَكَ قَالَ سَنُقَتِّلُ أَبْنَآءَهُمْ وَنَسْتَحْىِۦ نِسَآءَهُمْ وَإِنَّا فَوْقَهُمْ قَٰهِرُونَ

wa-qāla l-malaʾu min qawmi firʿawna atadharu mūsā wa-qawmahu li-yufsidū fī l-arḍi wa-yadharaka wa-ālihataka qalā sa-nuqattilu abnāʾahum wa-nastaḥi nisāʾahum wa-innā fawqahum qāhirūna

Said the chiefs of Pharaoh's people: "Wilt thou leave Moses and his people, to spread mischief in the land, and to abandon thee and thy gods?" He said: "Their male children will we slay; (only) their females will we save alive; and we have over them (power) irresistible."

Sura al-Raʿd 13:25

وَٱلَّذِينَ يَنقُضُونَ عَهْدَ ٱللَّـهِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مِيثَٰقِهِۦ وَيَقْطَعُونَ مَآ أَمَرَ ٱللَّـهُ بِهِۦٓ أَن يُوصَلَ وَيُفْسِدُونَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمُ ٱللَّعْنَةُ وَلَهُمْ سُوٓءُ ٱلدَّارِ

wa-lladhīna yanquḍūna ʿahda allāhi min baʿdi mīthāqihi wa-yaqṭaʿūna mā amara allāhu bihi an yūṣala wa-yufsidūna fī l-arḍi ulāʾika lahumu l-laʿnatu wa-lahum sūu l-dāri

But those who break the Covenant of Allah, after having plighted their word thereto, and cut asunder those things which Allah has commanded to be joined, and work mischief in the land;- on them is the curse; for them is the terrible home!

Sura al-Naḥl 16:88

ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَصَدُّوا۟ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّـهِ زِدْنَٰهُمْ عَذَابًا فَوْقَ ٱلْعَذَابِ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يُفْسِدُونَ

lladhīna kafarū wa-ṣaddū ʿan sabīli allāhi zidnāhum ʿadhāban fawqa l-ʿadhābi bi-mā kānū yufsidūna

Those who reject Allah and hinder (men) from the Path of Allah - for them will We add Penalty to Penalty; for that they used to spread mischief.

Sura al-Anbiyāʾ 21:22

لَوْ كَانَ فِيهِمَآ ءَالِهَةٌ إِلَّا ٱللَّـهُ لَفَسَدَتَا فَسُبْحَٰنَ ٱللَّـهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَرْشِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ

law kāna fīhimā ālihatun illā allāhu la-fasadatā fa-subḥāna allāhi rabbi l-ʿarshi ʿammā yaṣifūna

If there were, in the heavens and the earth, other gods besides Allah, there would have been confusion in both! but glory to Allah, the Lord of the Throne: (High is He) above what they attribute to Him!

Sura al-Muʾminūn 23:71

وَلَوِ ٱتَّبَعَ ٱلْحَقُّ أَهْوَآءَهُمْ لَفَسَدَتِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتُ وَٱلْأَرْضُ وَمَن فِيهِنَّ بَلْ أَتَيْنَٰهُم بِذِكْرِهِمْ فَهُمْ عَن ذِكْرِهِم مُّعْرِضُونَ

wa-lawi ittabaʿa l-ḥaqqu ahwāʾahum la-fasadati l-samāwātu wa-l-arḍu wa-man fī-hinna bal ataynāhum bi-dhikrihim fa-hum ʿan dhikrihim muʿriḍūna

If the Truth had been in accord with their desires, truly the heavens and the earth, and all beings therein would have been in confusion and corruption! Nay, We have sent them their admonition, but they turn away from their admonition.

Sura al-Shuʿarā 26:152

ٱلَّذِينَ يُفْسِدُونَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَا يُصْلِحُونَ

lladhīna yufsidūna fī l-arḍi wa-lā yuṣliḥūna

"Who make mischief in the land, and mend not (their ways)."

Sura al-Naml 27:34

قَالَتْ إِنَّ ٱلْمُلُوكَ إِذَا دَخَلُوا۟ قَرْيَةً أَفْسَدُوهَا وَجَعَلُوٓا۟ أَعِزَّةَ أَهْلِهَآ أَذِلَّةً وَكَذَٰلِكَ يَفْعَلُونَ

qālat inna l-mulūka idhā dakhalū qaryatan afsadūhā wa-jaʿalū aʿizzata ahlihā adhillatan wa-ka-dhālika yafʿalūna

She said: "Kings, when they enter a country, despoil it, and make the noblest of its people its meanest thus do they behave.

Sura al-Naml 27:48

وَكَانَ فِى ٱلْمَدِينَةِ تِسْعَةُ رَهْطٍ يُفْسِدُونَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَا يُصْلِحُونَ

wa-kāna fī l-madīnati tisʿatu rahṭin yufsidūna fī l-arḍi wa-lā yuṣliḥūna

There were in the city nine men of a family, who made mischief in the land, and would not reform.
