Sura al-Baqara 2:11

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ لَا تُفْسِدُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّمَا نَحْنُ مُصْلِحُونَ

wa-idhā qīla lahum lā tufsidū fī l-arḍi qālū innamā naḥnu muṣliḥūna

When it is said to them: "Make not mischief on the earth," they say: "Why, we only Want to make peace!"

Sura al-Baqara 2:27

ٱلَّذِينَ يَنقُضُونَ عَهْدَ ٱللَّـهِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مِيثَٰقِهِۦ وَيَقْطَعُونَ مَآ أَمَرَ ٱللَّـهُ بِهِۦٓ أَن يُوصَلَ وَيُفْسِدُونَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْخَٰسِرُونَ

lladhīna yanquḍūna ʿahda allāhi min baʿdi mīthāqihi wa-yaqṭaʿūna mā amara allāhu bihi an yūṣala wa-yufsidūna fī l-arḍi ulāʾika humu l-khāsirūna

Those who break Allah's Covenant after it is ratified, and who sunder what Allah Has ordered to be joined, and do mischief on earth: These cause loss (only) to themselves.

Sura al-Baqara 2:30

وَإِذْ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ إِنِّى جَاعِلٌ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ خَلِيفَةً قَالُوٓا۟ أَتَجْعَلُ فِيهَا مَن يُفْسِدُ فِيهَا وَيَسْفِكُ ٱلدِّمَآءَ وَنَحْنُ نُسَبِّحُ بِحَمْدِكَ وَنُقَدِّسُ لَكَ قَالَ إِنِّىٓ أَعْلَمُ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ

wa-idh qalā rabbuka lil-malāʾikati innī jāʿilun fī l-arḍi khalīfatan qālū atajʿalu fīhā man yufsidu fīhā wa-yasfiku l-dimāʾa wa-naḥnu nusabbiḥu biḥamdika wa-nuqaddisu la-ka qalā innī aʿlamu mā lā taʿlamūna

Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: "I will create a vicegerent on earth." They said: "Wilt Thou place therein one who will make mischief therein and shed blood?- whilst we do celebrate Thy praises and glorify Thy holy (name)?" He said: "I know what ye know not."

Sura al-Baqara 2:205

وَإِذَا تَوَلَّىٰ سَعَىٰ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ لِيُفْسِدَ فِيهَا وَيُهْلِكَ ٱلْحَرْثَ وَٱلنَّسْلَ وَٱللَّـهُ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلْفَسَادَ

wa-idhā tawalla saʿā fī l-arḍi li-yufsida fīhā wa-yuhlika l-ḥartha wa-l-nasla wallāhu lā yuḥibbu l-fasāda

When he turns his back, His aim everywhere is to spread mischief through the earth and destroy crops and cattle. But Allah loveth not mischief.

Sura al-Aʿrāf 7:56

وَلَا تُفْسِدُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ بَعْدَ إِصْلَٰحِهَا وَٱدْعُوهُ خَوْفًا وَطَمَعًا إِنَّ رَحْمَتَ ٱللَّـهِ قَرِيبٌ مِّنَ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ

wa-lā tufsidū fī l-arḍi baʿda iṣlāḥihā wa-adʿūhu khawfan wa-ṭamaʿan inna raḥmata allāhi qarībun mina l-muḥsinīna

Do no mischief on the earth, after it hath been set in order, but call on Him with fear and longing (in your hearts): for the Mercy of Allah is (always) near to those who do good.

Sura al-Aʿrāf 7:85

وَإِلَىٰ مَدْيَنَ أَخَاهُمْ شُعَيْبًا قَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ ٱعْبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّـهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنْ إِلَٰهٍ غَيْرُهُۥ قَدْ جَآءَتْكُم بَيِّنَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ فَأَوْفُوا۟ ٱلْكَيْلَ وَٱلْمِيزَانَ وَلَا تَبْخَسُوا۟ ٱلنَّاسَ أَشْيَآءَهُمْ وَلَا تُفْسِدُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ بَعْدَ إِصْلَٰحِهَا ذَٰلِكُمْ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ

wa-ilā madyana akhāhum shuʿayban qalā yā-qawmi iʿbudū allāha mā la-kum min ilāhin ghayruhu qad jāʾatkum bayyinatun min rabbikum faawfū l-kayla wa-l-mīzāna wa-lā tabkhasū l-nāsa ashyāʾahum wa-lā tufsidū fī l-arḍi baʿda iṣlāḥihā dhālikum khayrun la-kum in kuntum muʾminīna

To the Madyan people We sent Shu'aib, one of their own brethren: he said: "O my people! worship Allah; Ye have no other god but Him. Now hath come unto you a clear (Sign) from your Lord! Give just measure and weight, nor withhold from the people the things that are their due; and do no mischief on the earth after it has been set in order: that will be best for you, if ye have Faith.

Sura al-Aʿrāf 7:127

وَقَالَ ٱلْمَلَأُ مِن قَوْمِ فِرْعَوْنَ أَتَذَرُ مُوسَىٰ وَقَوْمَهُۥ لِيُفْسِدُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَيَذَرَكَ وَءَالِهَتَكَ قَالَ سَنُقَتِّلُ أَبْنَآءَهُمْ وَنَسْتَحْىِۦ نِسَآءَهُمْ وَإِنَّا فَوْقَهُمْ قَٰهِرُونَ

wa-qāla l-malaʾu min qawmi firʿawna atadharu mūsā wa-qawmahu li-yufsidū fī l-arḍi wa-yadharaka wa-ālihataka qalā sa-nuqattilu abnāʾahum wa-nastaḥi nisāʾahum wa-innā fawqahum qāhirūna

Said the chiefs of Pharaoh's people: "Wilt thou leave Moses and his people, to spread mischief in the land, and to abandon thee and thy gods?" He said: "Their male children will we slay; (only) their females will we save alive; and we have over them (power) irresistible."

Sura al-Raʿd 13:25

وَٱلَّذِينَ يَنقُضُونَ عَهْدَ ٱللَّـهِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مِيثَٰقِهِۦ وَيَقْطَعُونَ مَآ أَمَرَ ٱللَّـهُ بِهِۦٓ أَن يُوصَلَ وَيُفْسِدُونَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمُ ٱللَّعْنَةُ وَلَهُمْ سُوٓءُ ٱلدَّارِ

wa-lladhīna yanquḍūna ʿahda allāhi min baʿdi mīthāqihi wa-yaqṭaʿūna mā amara allāhu bihi an yūṣala wa-yufsidūna fī l-arḍi ulāʾika lahumu l-laʿnatu wa-lahum sūu l-dāri

But those who break the Covenant of Allah, after having plighted their word thereto, and cut asunder those things which Allah has commanded to be joined, and work mischief in the land;- on them is the curse; for them is the terrible home!

Sura al-Naḥl 16:88

ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَصَدُّوا۟ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّـهِ زِدْنَٰهُمْ عَذَابًا فَوْقَ ٱلْعَذَابِ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يُفْسِدُونَ

lladhīna kafarū wa-ṣaddū ʿan sabīli allāhi zidnāhum ʿadhāban fawqa l-ʿadhābi bi-mā kānū yufsidūna

Those who reject Allah and hinder (men) from the Path of Allah - for them will We add Penalty to Penalty; for that they used to spread mischief.

Sura al-Isrāʾ 17:4

وَقَضَيْنَآ إِلَىٰ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ فِى ٱلْكِتَٰبِ لَتُفْسِدُنَّ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مَرَّتَيْنِ وَلَتَعْلُنَّ عُلُوًّا كَبِيرًا

wa-qaḍaynā ilā banī isrāʾīla fī l-kitābi la-tufsidunna fī l-arḍi marratayni wa-lataʿlunna ʿuluwwan kabīran

And We gave (Clear) Warning to the Children of Israel in the Book, that twice would they do mischief on the earth and be elated with mighty arrogance (and twice would they be punished)!

Sura al-Shuʿarā 26:152

ٱلَّذِينَ يُفْسِدُونَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَا يُصْلِحُونَ

lladhīna yufsidūna fī l-arḍi wa-lā yuṣliḥūna

"Who make mischief in the land, and mend not (their ways)."

Sura al-Naml 27:34

قَالَتْ إِنَّ ٱلْمُلُوكَ إِذَا دَخَلُوا۟ قَرْيَةً أَفْسَدُوهَا وَجَعَلُوٓا۟ أَعِزَّةَ أَهْلِهَآ أَذِلَّةً وَكَذَٰلِكَ يَفْعَلُونَ

qālat inna l-mulūka idhā dakhalū qaryatan afsadūhā wa-jaʿalū aʿizzata ahlihā adhillatan wa-ka-dhālika yafʿalūna

She said: "Kings, when they enter a country, despoil it, and make the noblest of its people its meanest thus do they behave.

Sura al-Naml 27:48

وَكَانَ فِى ٱلْمَدِينَةِ تِسْعَةُ رَهْطٍ يُفْسِدُونَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَا يُصْلِحُونَ

wa-kāna fī l-madīnati tisʿatu rahṭin yufsidūna fī l-arḍi wa-lā yuṣliḥūna

There were in the city nine men of a family, who made mischief in the land, and would not reform.

Sura Muḥammad 47:22

فَهَلْ عَسَيْتُمْ إِن تَوَلَّيْتُمْ أَن تُفْسِدُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَتُقَطِّعُوٓا۟ أَرْحَامَكُمْ

fa-hal ʿasaytum in tawallaytum an tufsidū fī l-arḍi wa-ṭuqaṭṭiʿū arḥāmakum

Then, is it to be expected of you, if ye were put in authority, that ye will do mischief in the land, and break your ties of kith and kin?
