Surah 2 al-Baqara (The Cow)
RefArabic    TransliterationTranslation
(2:24)

فَإِن  لَّمْ  تَفْعَلُوا۟  وَلَن  تَفْعَلُوا۟  فَٱتَّقُوا۟  ٱلنَّارَ  ٱلَّتِى  وَقُودُهَا  ٱلنَّاسُ  وَٱلْحِجَارَةُ  أُعِدَّتْ  لِلْكَٰفِرِينَ fa‑in lam tafʿalū wa‑lan tafʿalū fa‑ittaqū l‑nāra allatī wa‑qūduhā l‑nāsu wa‑l‑ḥijāratu uʿiddat lil‑kāfirīna
But if ye cannot- and of a surety ye cannot- then fear the Fire whose fuel is men and stones,- which is prepared for those who reject Faith.
(2:68)

قَالُوا۟  ٱدْعُ  لَنَا  رَبَّكَ  يُبَيِّن  لَّنَا  مَا  هِىَ  قَالَ  إِنَّهُۥ  يَقُولُ  إِنَّهَا  بَقَرَةٌ  لَّا  فَارِضٌ  وَلَا  بِكْرٌ  عَوَانٌۢ  بَيْنَ  ذَٰلِكَ  فَٱفْعَلُوا۟  مَا  تُؤْمَرُونَ qālū idʿu la‑nā rabbaka yubayyin lanā hiya qalā innahu yaqūlu innahā baqaratun fāriḍun wa‑lā bikrun ʿawānun bayna dhālika fa‑ifʿalū tuʾmarūna
They said: "Beseech on our behalf Thy Lord to make plain to us what (heifer) it is!" He said; "He says: The heifer should be neither too old nor too young, but of middling age. Now do what ye are commanded!"
(2:71)

He said: "He says: A heifer not trained to till the soil or water the fields; sound and without blemish." They said: "Now hast thou brought the truth." Then they offered her in sacrifice, but not with good-will.
(2:85)

ثُمَّ  أَنتُمْ  هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ  تَقْتُلُونَ  أَنفُسَكُمْ  وَتُخْرِجُونَ  فَرِيقًا  مِّنكُم  مِّن  دِيَٰرِهِمْ  تَظَٰهَرُونَ  عَلَيْهِم  بِٱلْإِثْمِ  وَٱلْعُدْوَٰنِ  وَإِن  يَأْتُوكُمْ  أُسَٰرَىٰ  تُفَٰدُوهُمْ  وَهُوَ  مُحَرَّمٌ  عَلَيْكُمْ  إِخْرَاجُهُمْ  أَفَتُؤْمِنُونَ  بِبَعْضِ  ٱلْكِتَٰبِ  وَتَكْفُرُونَ  بِبَعْضٍ  فَمَا  جَزَآءُ  مَن  يَفْعَلُ  ذَٰلِكَ  مِنكُمْ  إِلَّا  خِزْىٌ  فِى  ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ  ٱلدُّنْيَا  وَيَوْمَ  ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ  يُرَدُّونَ  إِلَىٰٓ  أَشَدِّ  ٱلْعَذَابِ  وَمَا  ٱللَّـهُ  بِغَٰفِلٍ  عَمَّا  تَعْمَلُونَ thumma antum hāʾulāʾi taqtulūna anfusakum wa‑tukhrijūna farīqan minkum min diyārihim taẓāharūna ʿalayhim bi‑l‑ithmi wa‑l‑ʿudwāni wa‑in yatūkum usāra tufādūhum wa‑huwa muḥarramun ʿalaykum ikhrājuhum a‑fa‑tuʾminūna bi‑baʿḍi l‑kitābi wa‑takfurūna bi‑baʿḍin fa‑mā jazāʾu man yafʿalu dhālika minkum illā khizun l‑ḥayāti l‑dunyā wa‑yawma l‑qiyāmati yuraddūna ila ashaddi l‑ʿadhābi wa‑mā allāhu bi‑ghāfilin ʿammā taʿmalūna
After this it is ye, the same people, who slay among yourselves, and banish a party of you from their homes; assist (Their enemies) against them, in guilt and rancour; and if they come to you as captives, ye ransom them, though it was not lawful for you to banish them. Then is it only a part of the Book that ye believe in, and do ye reject the rest? but what is the reward for those among you who behave like this but disgrace in this life?- and on the Day of Judgment they shall be consigned to the most grievous penalty. For Allah is not unmindful of what ye do.
(2:197)

ٱلْحَجُّ  أَشْهُرٌ  مَّعْلُومَٰتٌ  فَمَن  فَرَضَ  فِيهِنَّ  ٱلْحَجَّ  فَلَا  رَفَثَ  وَلَا  فُسُوقَ  وَلَا  جِدَالَ  فِى  ٱلْحَجِّ  وَمَا  تَفْعَلُوا۟  مِنْ  خَيْرٍ  يَعْلَمْهُ  ٱللَّـهُ  وَتَزَوَّدُوا۟  فَإِنَّ  خَيْرَ  ٱلزَّادِ  ٱلتَّقْوَىٰ  وَٱتَّقُونِ  يَٰٓأُو۟لِى  ٱلْأَلْبَٰبِ l‑ḥajju ashhurun maʿlūmātun fa‑man faraḍa fī‑hinna l‑ḥajja fa‑lā rafatha wa‑lā fusūqa wa‑lā jidāla l‑ḥajji wa‑mā tafʿalū min khayrin yaʿlamhu allāhu wa‑tazawwadū fa‑inna khayra l‑zādi l‑taqwā wa‑attaqūni yā‑ūlī l‑albābi
For Hajj are the months well known. If any one undertakes that duty therein, Let there be no obscenity, nor wickedness, nor wrangling in the Hajj. And whatever good ye do, (be sure) Allah knoweth it. And take a provision (With you) for the journey, but the best of provisions is right conduct. So fear Me, o ye that are wise.
(2:215)

They ask thee what they should spend (In charity). Say: Whatever ye spend that is good, is for parents and kindred and orphans and those in want and for wayfarers. And whatever ye do that is good, -Allah knoweth it well.

When ye divorce women, and they fulfil the term of their ('Iddat), either take them back on equitable terms or set them free on equitable terms; but do not take them back to injure them, (or) to take undue advantage; if any one does that; He wrongs his own soul. Do not treat Allah's Signs as a jest, but solemnly rehearse Allah's favours on you, and the fact that He sent down to you the Book and Wisdom, for your instruction. And fear Allah, and know that Allah is well acquainted with all things.

If any of you die and leave widows behind, they shall wait concerning themselves four months and ten days: When they have fulfilled their term, there is no blame on you if they dispose of themselves in a just and reasonable manner. And Allah is well acquainted with what ye do.

Those messengers We endowed with gifts, some above others: To one of them Allah spoke; others He raised to degrees (of honour); to Jesus the son of Mary We gave clear (Signs), and strengthened him with the holy spirit. If Allah had so willed, succeeding generations would not have fought among each other, after clear (Signs) had come to them, but they (chose) to wrangle, some believing and others rejecting. If Allah had so willed, they would not have fought each other; but Allah Fulfilleth His plan.

O ye who believe! When ye deal with each other, in transactions involving future obligations in a fixed period of time, reduce them to writing Let a scribe write down faithfully as between the parties: let not the scribe refuse to write: as Allah Has taught him, so let him write. Let him who incurs the liability dictate, but let him fear His Lord Allah, and not diminish aught of what he owes. If the party liable is mentally deficient, or weak, or unable Himself to dictate, Let his guardian dictate faithfully, and get two witnesses, out of your own men, and if there are not two men, then a man and two women, such as ye choose, for witnesses, so that if one of them errs, the other can remind her. The witnesses should not refuse when they are called on (For evidence). Disdain not to reduce to writing (your contract) for a future period, whether it be small or big: it is juster in the sight of Allah, More suitable as evidence, and more convenient to prevent doubts among yourselves but if it be a transaction which ye carry out on the spot among yourselves, there is no blame on you if ye reduce it not to writing. But take witness whenever ye make a commercial contract; and let neither scribe nor witness suffer harm. If ye do (such harm), it would be wickedness in you. So fear Allah; For it is Allah that teaches you. And Allah is well acquainted with all things.

Surah 3 Āl-ʿImrān (The Family of Imran)
(3:28)

لَّا  يَتَّخِذِ  ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ  ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ  أَوْلِيَآءَ  مِن  دُونِ  ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ  وَمَن  يَفْعَلْ  ذَٰلِكَ  فَلَيْسَ  مِنَ  ٱللَّـهِ  فِى  شَىْءٍ  إِلَّآ  أَن  تَتَّقُوا۟  مِنْهُمْ  تُقَىٰةً  وَيُحَذِّرُكُمُ  ٱللَّـهُ  نَفْسَهُۥ  وَإِلَى  ٱللَّـهِ  ٱلْمَصِيرُ yattakhidhi l‑muʾminūna l‑kāfirīna awliyāʾa min dūni l‑muʾminīna wa‑man yafʿal dhālika fa‑laysa mina allāhi shayʾin illā an tattaqū minhum tuqatan wa‑yuḥadhdhirukumu allāhu nafsahu wa‑ilā allāhi l‑maṣīru
Let not the believers Take for friends or helpers Unbelievers rather than believers: if any do that, in nothing will there be help from Allah: except by way of precaution, that ye may Guard yourselves from them. But Allah cautions you (To remember) Himself; for the final goal is to Allah.
(3:40)

He said: "O my Lord! How shall I have son, seeing I am very old, and my wife is barren?" "Thus," was the answer, "Doth Allah accomplish what He willeth."
(3:115)

Of the good that they do, nothing will be rejected of them; for Allah knoweth well those that do right.
(3:135)

وَٱلَّذِينَ  إِذَا  فَعَلُوا۟  فَٰحِشَةً  أَوْ  ظَلَمُوٓا۟  أَنفُسَهُمْ  ذَكَرُوا۟  ٱللَّـهَ  فَٱسْتَغْفَرُوا۟  لِذُنُوبِهِمْ  وَمَن  يَغْفِرُ  ٱلذُّنُوبَ  إِلَّا  ٱللَّـهُ  وَلَمْ  يُصِرُّوا۟  عَلَىٰ  مَا  فَعَلُوا۟  وَهُمْ  يَعْلَمُونَ wa‑lladhīna idhā faʿalū fāḥishatan aw ẓalamū anfusahum dhakarū allāha fa‑astaghfarū lidhunūbihim wa‑man yaghfiru l‑dhunūba illā allāhu wa‑lam yuṣirrū ʿalā faʿalū wa‑hum yaʿlamūna
And those who, having done something to be ashamed of, or wronged their own souls, earnestly bring Allah to mind, and ask for forgiveness for their sins,- and who can forgive sins except Allah?- and are never obstinate in persisting knowingly in (the wrong) they have done.
(3:188)

لَا  تَحْسَبَنَّ  ٱلَّذِينَ  يَفْرَحُونَ  بِمَآ  أَتَوا۟  وَّيُحِبُّونَ  أَن  يُحْمَدُوا۟  بِمَا  لَمْ  يَفْعَلُوا۟  فَلَا  تَحْسَبَنَّهُم  بِمَفَازَةٍ  مِّنَ  ٱلْعَذَابِ  وَلَهُمْ  عَذَابٌ  أَلِيمٌ taḥsabanna lladhīna yafraḥūna bimā ātaw wwa‑yuḥibbūna an yuḥmadū bi‑mā lam yafʿalū fa‑lā taḥsabannahum bimafāzatin mina l‑ʿadhābi wa‑lahum ʿadhābun alīmun
Think not that those who exult in what they have brought about, and love to be praised for what they have not done,- think escape the penalty. For them is a penalty Grievous indeed.

Surah 4 al-Nisāʾ (The Women)
(4:30)

وَمَن  يَفْعَلْ  ذَٰلِكَ  عُدْوَٰنًا  وَظُلْمًا  فَسَوْفَ  نُصْلِيهِ  نَارًا  وَكَانَ  ذَٰلِكَ  عَلَى  ٱللَّـهِ  يَسِيرًا wa‑man yafʿal dhālika ʿudwānan wa‑ẓulman fa‑sawfa nuṣlīhi nāran wa‑kāna dhālika ʿalā allāhi yasīran
If any do that in rancour and injustice,- soon shall We cast them into the Fire: And easy it is for Allah.
(4:66)

If We had ordered them to sacrifice their lives or to leave their homes, very few of them would have done it: But if they had done what they were (actually) told, it would have been best for them, and would have gone farthest to strengthen their (faith);
(4:114)

In most of their secret talks there is no good: But if one exhorts to a deed of charity or justice or conciliation between men, (Secrecy is permissible): To him who does this, seeking the good pleasure of Allah, We shall soon give a reward of the highest (value).
(4:127)

وَيَسْتَفْتُونَكَ  فِى  ٱلنِّسَآءِ  قُلِ  ٱللَّـهُ  يُفْتِيكُمْ  فِيهِنَّ  وَمَا  يُتْلَىٰ  عَلَيْكُمْ  فِى  ٱلْكِتَٰبِ  فِى  يَتَٰمَى  ٱلنِّسَآءِ  ٱلَّٰتِى  لَا  تُؤْتُونَهُنَّ  مَا  كُتِبَ  لَهُنَّ  وَتَرْغَبُونَ  أَن  تَنكِحُوهُنَّ  وَٱلْمُسْتَضْعَفِينَ  مِنَ  ٱلْوِلْدَٰنِ  وَأَن  تَقُومُوا۟  لِلْيَتَٰمَىٰ  بِٱلْقِسْطِ  وَمَا  تَفْعَلُوا۟  مِنْ  خَيْرٍ  فَإِنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  كَانَ  بِهِۦ  عَلِيمًا wa‑yastaftūnaka l‑nisāʾi quli allāhu yuftīkum fī‑hinna wa‑mā yutlā ʿalaykum l‑kitābi yatāma l‑nisāʾi allātī tutūnahunna kutiba la‑hunna wa‑targhabūna an tankiḥūhunna wa‑l‑mustaḍʿafīna mina l‑wildāni wa‑an taqūmū lil‑yatāma bil‑qisṭi wa‑mā tafʿalū min khayrin fa‑inna allāha kāna bihi ʿalīman
They ask thy instruction concerning the women say: Allah doth instruct you about them: And (remember) what hath been rehearsed unto you in the Book, concerning the orphans of women to whom ye give not the portions prescribed, and yet whom ye desire to marry, as also concerning the children who are weak and oppressed: that ye stand firm for justice to orphans. There is not a good deed which ye do, but Allah is well-acquainted therewith.
(4:147)

مَّا  يَفْعَلُ  ٱللَّـهُ  بِعَذَابِكُمْ  إِن  شَكَرْتُمْ  وَءَامَنتُمْ  وَكَانَ  ٱللَّـهُ  شَاكِرًا  عَلِيمًا yafʿalu allāhu biʿadhābikum in shakartum wa‑āmantum wa‑kāna allāhu shākiran ʿalīman
What can Allah gain by your punishment, if ye are grateful and ye believe? Nay, it is Allah that recogniseth (all good), and knoweth all things.

Surah 5 al-Māʾidah (The Table Spread)
(5:67)

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا  ٱلرَّسُولُ  بَلِّغْ  مَآ  أُنزِلَ  إِلَيْكَ  مِن  رَّبِّكَ  وَإِن  لَّمْ  تَفْعَلْ  فَمَا  بَلَّغْتَ  رِسَالَتَهُۥ  وَٱللَّـهُ  يَعْصِمُكَ  مِنَ  ٱلنَّاسِ  إِنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  لَا  يَهْدِى  ٱلْقَوْمَ  ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ yā‑ayyuhā l‑rasūlu balligh unzila ilayka min rabbika wa‑in lam tafʿal fa‑mā ballaghta risālatahu wallāhu yaʿṣimuka mina l‑nāsi inna allāha yahdī l‑qawma l‑kāfirīna
O Messenger! proclaim the (message) which hath been sent to thee from thy Lord. If thou didst not, thou wouldst not have fulfilled and proclaimed His mission. And Allah will defend thee from men (who mean mischief). For Allah guideth not those who reject Faith.
(5:79)

كَانُوا۟  لَا  يَتَنَاهَوْنَ  عَن  مُّنكَرٍ  فَعَلُوهُ  لَبِئْسَ  مَا  كَانُوا۟  يَفْعَلُونَ kānū yatanāhawna ʿan munkarin faʿalūhu la‑biʾsa kānū yafʿalūna
Nor did they (usually) forbid one another the iniquities which they committed: evil indeed were the deeds which they did.

Surah 6 al-Anʿām (The Cattle)
(6:112)

وَكَذَٰلِكَ  جَعَلْنَا  لِكُلِّ  نَبِىٍّ  عَدُوًّا  شَيَٰطِينَ  ٱلْإِنسِ  وَٱلْجِنِّ  يُوحِى  بَعْضُهُمْ  إِلَىٰ  بَعْضٍ  زُخْرُفَ  ٱلْقَوْلِ  غُرُورًا  وَلَوْ  شَآءَ  رَبُّكَ  مَا  فَعَلُوهُ  فَذَرْهُمْ  وَمَا  يَفْتَرُونَ wa‑ka‑dhālika jaʿalnā li‑kulli nabiyyin ʿadūwan shayāṭīna l‑insi wa‑l‑jinni yūḥī baʿḍuhum ilā baʿḍin zukhrufa l‑qawli ghurūran wa‑law shāʾa rabbuka faʿalūhu fa‑dharhum wa‑mā yaftarūna
Likewise did We make for every Messenger an enemy,- evil ones among men and jinns, inspiring each other with flowery discourses by way of deception. If thy Lord had so planned, they would not have done it: so leave them and their inventions alone.
(6:137)

وَكَذَٰلِكَ  زَيَّنَ  لِكَثِيرٍ  مِّنَ  ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ  قَتْلَ  أَوْلَٰدِهِمْ  شُرَكَآؤُهُمْ  لِيُرْدُوهُمْ  وَلِيَلْبِسُوا۟  عَلَيْهِمْ  دِينَهُمْ  وَلَوْ  شَآءَ  ٱللَّـهُ  مَا  فَعَلُوهُ  فَذَرْهُمْ  وَمَا  يَفْتَرُونَ wa‑ka‑dhālika zayyana likathīrin mina l‑mushrikīna qatla awlādihim shurakāʾuhum li‑yurdūhum wa‑li‑yalbisū ʿalayhim dīnahum wa‑law shāʾa allāhu faʿalūhu fa‑dharhum wa‑mā yaftarūna
Even so, in the eyes of most of the pagans, their "partners" made alluring the slaughter of their children, in order to lead them to their own destruction, and cause confusion in their religion. If Allah had willed, they would not have done so: But leave alone them and their inventions.
(6:159)

إِنَّ  ٱلَّذِينَ  فَرَّقُوا۟  دِينَهُمْ  وَكَانُوا۟  شِيَعًا  لَّسْتَ  مِنْهُمْ  فِى  شَىْءٍ  إِنَّمَآ  أَمْرُهُمْ  إِلَى  ٱللَّـهِ  ثُمَّ  يُنَبِّئُهُم  بِمَا  كَانُوا۟  يَفْعَلُونَ inna lladhīna farraqū dīnahum wa‑kānū shiyaʿan llasta minhum shayʾin innamā amruhum ilā allāhi thumma yunabbiʾuhum bi‑mā kānū yafʿalūna
As for those who divide their religion and break up into sects, thou hast no part in them in the least: their affair is with Allah: He will in the end tell them the truth of all that they did.

Surah 7 al-Aʿrāf (The Heights)
(7:28)

وَإِذَا  فَعَلُوا۟  فَٰحِشَةً  قَالُوا۟  وَجَدْنَا  عَلَيْهَآ  ءَابَآءَنَا  وَٱللَّـهُ  أَمَرَنَا  بِهَا  قُلْ  إِنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  لَا  يَأْمُرُ  بِٱلْفَحْشَآءِ  أَتَقُولُونَ  عَلَى  ٱللَّـهِ  مَا  لَا  تَعْلَمُونَ wa‑idhā faʿalū fāḥishatan qālū wajadnā ʿalayhā ābāʾanā wallāhu amaranā bihā qul inna allāha yaʾmuru bil‑faḥshāʾi ataqūlūna ʿalā allāhi taʿlamūna
When they do aught that is shameful, they say: "We found our fathers doing so"; and "Allah commanded us thus": Say: "Nay, Allah never commands what is shameful: do ye say of Allah what ye know not?"
(7:155)

And Moses chose seventy of his people for Our place of meeting: when they were seized with violent quaking, he prayed: "O my Lord! if it had been Thy will Thou couldst have destroyed, long before, both them and me: wouldst Thou destroy us for the deeds of the foolish ones among us? this is no more than Thy trial: by it Thou causest whom Thou wilt to stray, and Thou leadest whom Thou wilt into the right path. Thou art our Protector: so forgive us and give us Thy mercy; for Thou art the best of those who forgive.
(7:173)

Or lest ye should say: "Our fathers before us may have taken false gods, but we are (their) descendants after them: wilt Thou then destroy us because of the deeds of men who were futile?"

Surah 8 al-Anfāl (The Spoils of War)
(8:73)

The Unbelievers are protectors, one of another: Unless ye do this, (protect each other), there would be tumult and oppression on earth, and great mischief.

Surah 10 Yūnus (Jonah)
(10:36)

وَمَا  يَتَّبِعُ  أَكْثَرُهُمْ  إِلَّا  ظَنًّا  إِنَّ  ٱلظَّنَّ  لَا  يُغْنِى  مِنَ  ٱلْحَقِّ  شَيْـًٔا  إِنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  عَلِيمٌۢ  بِمَا  يَفْعَلُونَ wa‑mā yattabiʿu aktharuhum illā ẓannan inna l‑ẓanna yughnī mina l‑ḥaqqi shayʾan inna allāha ʿalīmun bi‑mā yafʿalūna
But most of them follow nothing but fancy: truly fancy can be of no avail against truth. Verily Allah is well aware of all that they do.
(10:46)

Whether We show thee (realised in thy life-time) some part of what We promise them,- or We take thy soul (to Our Mercy) (Before that),- in any case, to Us is their return: ultimately Allah is witness, to all that they do.
(10:106)

وَلَا  تَدْعُ  مِن  دُونِ  ٱللَّـهِ  مَا  لَا  يَنفَعُكَ  وَلَا  يَضُرُّكَ  فَإِن  فَعَلْتَ  فَإِنَّكَ  إِذًا  مِّنَ  ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ wa‑lā tadʿu min dūni allāhi yanfaʿuka wa‑lā yaḍurruka fa‑in faʿalta fa‑innaka idhan mina l‑ẓālimīna
"'Nor call on any, other than Allah;- Such will neither profit thee nor hurt thee: if thou dost, behold! thou shalt certainly be of those who do wrong.'"

Surah 11 Hūd (Hud)
(11:36)

وَأُوحِىَ  إِلَىٰ  نُوحٍ  أَنَّهُۥ  لَن  يُؤْمِنَ  مِن  قَوْمِكَ  إِلَّا  مَن  قَدْ  ءَامَنَ  فَلَا  تَبْتَئِسْ  بِمَا  كَانُوا۟  يَفْعَلُونَ wa‑ūḥiya ilā nūḥin annahu lan yuʾmina min qawmika illā man qad āmana fa‑lā tabtaʾis bi‑mā kānū yafʿalūna
It was revealed to Noah: "None of thy people will believe except those who have believed already! So grieve no longer over their (evil) deeds.
(11:87)

They said: "O Shu'aib! Does thy (religion of) prayer command thee that we leave off the worship which our fathers practised, or that we leave off doing what we like with our property? truly, thou art the one that forbeareth with faults and is right-minded!"

Surah 12 Yūsuf (Joseph)
(12:32)

قَالَتْ  فَذَٰلِكُنَّ  ٱلَّذِى  لُمْتُنَّنِى  فِيهِ  وَلَقَدْ  رَٰوَدتُّهُۥ  عَن  نَّفْسِهِۦ  فَٱسْتَعْصَمَ  وَلَئِن  لَّمْ  يَفْعَلْ  مَآ  ءَامُرُهُۥ  لَيُسْجَنَنَّ  وَلَيَكُونًا  مِّنَ  ٱلصَّٰغِرِينَ qālat fa‑dhālikunna alladhī lumtunnanī fīhi wa‑la‑qad rāwadttuhu ʿan nafsihi fa‑istaʿṣama wa‑laʾin lam yafʿal āmuruhu la‑yusjananna wa‑la‑yakūnan mina l‑ṣāghirīna
She said: "There before you is the man about whom ye did blame me! I did seek to seduce him from his (true) self but he did firmly save himself guiltless!....and now, if he doth not my bidding, he shall certainly be cast into prison, and (what is more) be of the company of the vilest!"
(12:89)

He said: "Know ye how ye dealt with Joseph and his brother, not knowing (what ye were doing)?"

Surah 14 Ibrāhīm (Abraham)
(14:27)

Allah will establish in strength those who believe, with the word that stands firm, in this world and in the Hereafter; but Allah will leave, to stray, those who do wrong: Allah doeth what He willeth.
(14:45)

"And ye dwelt in the dwellings of men who wronged their own souls; ye were clearly shown how We dealt with them; and We put forth (many) parables in your behoof!"

Surah 16 al-Naḥl (The Bee)
(16:33)

هَلْ  يَنظُرُونَ  إِلَّآ  أَن  تَأْتِيَهُمُ  ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ  أَوْ  يَأْتِىَ  أَمْرُ  رَبِّكَ  كَذَٰلِكَ  فَعَلَ  ٱلَّذِينَ  مِن  قَبْلِهِمْ  وَمَا  ظَلَمَهُمُ  ٱللَّـهُ  وَلَٰكِن  كَانُوٓا۟  أَنفُسَهُمْ  يَظْلِمُونَ hal yanẓurūna illā an taʾtiyahumu l‑malāʾikatu aw yaʾtiya amru rabbika ka‑dhālika faʿala lladhīna min qablihim wa‑mā ẓalamahumu allāhu wa‑lākin kānū anfusahum yaẓlimūna
Do the (ungodly) wait until the angels come to them, or there comes the Command of thy Lord (for their doom)? So did those who went before them. But Allah wronged them not: nay, they wronged their own souls.
(16:35)

وَقَالَ  ٱلَّذِينَ  أَشْرَكُوا۟  لَوْ  شَآءَ  ٱللَّـهُ  مَا  عَبَدْنَا  مِن  دُونِهِۦ  مِن  شَىْءٍ  نَّحْنُ  وَلَآ  ءَابَآؤُنَا  وَلَا  حَرَّمْنَا  مِن  دُونِهِۦ  مِن  شَىْءٍ  كَذَٰلِكَ  فَعَلَ  ٱلَّذِينَ  مِن  قَبْلِهِمْ  فَهَلْ  عَلَى  ٱلرُّسُلِ  إِلَّا  ٱلْبَلَٰغُ  ٱلْمُبِينُ wa‑qāla lladhīna ashrakū law shāʾa allāhu ʿabadnā min dūnihi min shayʾin nnaḥnu wa‑lā ābāʾunā wa‑lā ḥarramnā min dūnihi min shayʾin ka‑dhālika faʿala lladhīna min qablihim fa‑hal ʿalā l‑rusuli illā l‑balāghu l‑mubīnu
The worshippers of false gods say: "If Allah had so willed, we should not have worshipped aught but Him - neither we nor our fathers,- nor should we have prescribed prohibitions other than His." So did those who went before them. But what is the mission of messengers but to preach the Clear Message?
(16:50)

They all revere their Lord, high above them, and they do all that they are commanded.
(16:91)

Fulfil the Covenant of Allah when ye have entered into it, and break not your oaths after ye have confirmed them; indeed ye have made Allah your surety; for Allah knoweth all that ye do.

Surah 18 al-Kahf (The Cave)
(18:82)

"As for the wall, it belonged to two youths, orphans, in the Town; there was, beneath it, a buried treasure, to which they were entitled: their father had been a righteous man: So thy Lord desired that they should attain their age of full strength and get out their treasure - a mercy (and favour) from thy Lord. I did it not of my own accord. Such is the interpretation of (those things) over which thou wast unable to hold patience."

Surah 21 al-Anbiyāʾ (The Prophets)
(21:23)

He cannot be questioned for His acts, but they will be questioned (for theirs).
(21:59)

They said, "Who has done this to our gods? He must indeed be some man of impiety!"
(21:62)

They said, "Art thou the one that did this with our gods, O Abraham?"
(21:63)

قَالَ  بَلْ  فَعَلَهُۥ  كَبِيرُهُمْ  هَٰذَا  فَسْـَٔلُوهُمْ  إِن  كَانُوا۟  يَنطِقُونَ qalā bal faʿalahu kabīruhum hādhā fa‑sʾalūhum in kānū yanṭiqūna
He said: "Nay, this was done by - this is their biggest one! ask them, if they can speak intelligently!"

Surah 22 al-Ḥajj (The Pilgrimage)
(22:14)

Verily Allah will admit those who believe and work righteous deeds, to Gardens, beneath which rivers flow: for Allah carries out all that He plans.
