Surah 2 al-Baqara (The Cow)

(2:48)

وَٱتَّقُوا۟  يَوْمًا  لَّا  تَجْزِى  نَفْسٌ  عَن  نَّفْسٍ  شَيْـًٔا  وَلَا  يُقْبَلُ  مِنْهَا  شَفَٰعَةٌ  وَلَا  يُؤْخَذُ  مِنْهَا  عَدْلٌ  وَلَا  هُمْ  يُنصَرُونَ wa‑ittaqū yawman tajzī nafsun ʿan nafsin shayʾan wa‑lā yuqbalu minhā shafāʿatun wa‑lā yuʾkhadhu minhā ʿadlun wa‑lā hum yunṣarūna
Then guard yourselves against a day when one soul shall not avail another nor shall intercession be accepted for her, nor shall compensation be taken from her, nor shall anyone be helped (from outside).
(2:123)

وَٱتَّقُوا۟  يَوْمًا  لَّا  تَجْزِى  نَفْسٌ  عَن  نَّفْسٍ  شَيْـًٔا  وَلَا  يُقْبَلُ  مِنْهَا  عَدْلٌ  وَلَا  تَنفَعُهَا  شَفَٰعَةٌ  وَلَا  هُمْ  يُنصَرُونَ wa‑ittaqū yawman tajzī nafsun ʿan nafsin shayʾan wa‑lā yuqbalu minhā ʿadlun wa‑lā tanfaʿuhā shafāʿatun wa‑lā hum yunṣarūna
Then guard yourselves against a-Day when one soul shall not avail another, nor shall compensation be accepted from her nor shall intercession profit her nor shall anyone be helped (from outside).
(2:127)

وَإِذْ  يَرْفَعُ  إِبْرَٰهِـۧمُ  ٱلْقَوَاعِدَ  مِنَ  ٱلْبَيْتِ  وَإِسْمَٰعِيلُ  رَبَّنَا  تَقَبَّلْ  مِنَّآ  إِنَّكَ  أَنتَ  ٱلسَّمِيعُ  ٱلْعَلِيمُ wa‑idh yarfaʿu ibrāhīmu l‑qawāʿida mina l‑bayti wa‑ismāʿīlu rabbanā taqabbal minnā innaka anta l‑samīʿu l‑ʿalīmu
And remember Abraham and Isma'il raised the foundations of the House (With this prayer): "Our Lord! Accept (this service) from us: For Thou art the All-Hearing, the All-knowing.

Surah 3 Āl-ʿImrān (The Family of Imran)
(3:35)

إِذْ  قَالَتِ  ٱمْرَأَتُ  عِمْرَٰنَ  رَبِّ  إِنِّى  نَذَرْتُ  لَكَ  مَا  فِى  بَطْنِى  مُحَرَّرًا  فَتَقَبَّلْ  مِنِّىٓ  إِنَّكَ  أَنتَ  ٱلسَّمِيعُ  ٱلْعَلِيمُ idh qālati imraʾatu ʿimrāna rabbi innī nadhartu la‑ka baṭnī muḥarraran fa‑taqabbal minnī innaka anta l‑samīʿu l‑ʿalīmu
Behold! a woman of 'Imran said: "O my Lord! I do dedicate unto Thee what is in my womb for Thy special service: So accept this of me: For Thou hearest and knowest all things."
(3:37)

فَتَقَبَّلَهَا  رَبُّهَا  بِقَبُولٍ  حَسَنٍ  وَأَنۢبَتَهَا  نَبَاتًا  حَسَنًا  وَكَفَّلَهَا  زَكَرِيَّا  كُلَّمَا  دَخَلَ  عَلَيْهَا  زَكَرِيَّا  ٱلْمِحْرَابَ  وَجَدَ  عِندَهَا  رِزْقًا  قَالَ  يَٰمَرْيَمُ  أَنَّىٰ  لَكِ  هَٰذَا  قَالَتْ  هُوَ  مِنْ  عِندِ  ٱللَّـهِ  إِنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  يَرْزُقُ  مَن  يَشَآءُ  بِغَيْرِ  حِسَابٍ fa‑taqabbalahā rabbuhā bi‑qabūlin ḥasanin wa‑anbatahā nabātan ḥasanan wa‑kaffalahā zakariyyā kullamā dakhala ʿalayhā zakariyyā l‑miḥrāba wajada ʿindahā rizqan qalā yā‑maryamu annā laki hādhā qālat huwa min ʿindi allāhi inna allāha yarzuqu man yashāʾu bi‑ghayri ḥisābin
Right graciously did her Lord accept her: He made her grow in purity and beauty: To the care of Zakariya was she assigned. Every time that he entered (Her) chamber to see her, He found her supplied with sustenance. He said: "O Mary! Whence (comes) this to you?" She said: "From Allah: for Allah Provides sustenance to whom He pleases without measure."
(3:85)

وَمَن  يَبْتَغِ  غَيْرَ  ٱلْإِسْلَٰمِ  دِينًا  فَلَن  يُقْبَلَ  مِنْهُ  وَهُوَ  فِى  ٱلْأَخِرَةِ  مِنَ  ٱلْخَٰسِرِينَ wa‑man yabtaghi ghayra l‑islāmi dīnan fa‑lan yuqbala minhu wa‑huwa l‑akhirati mina l‑khāsirīna
If anyone desires a religion other than Islam (submission to Allah), never will it be accepted of him; and in the Hereafter He will be in the ranks of those who have lost (All spiritual good).
(3:91)

إِنَّ  ٱلَّذِينَ  كَفَرُوا۟  وَمَاتُوا۟  وَهُمْ  كُفَّارٌ  فَلَن  يُقْبَلَ  مِنْ  أَحَدِهِم  مِّلْءُ  ٱلْأَرْضِ  ذَهَبًا  وَلَوِ  ٱفْتَدَىٰ  بِهِۦٓ  أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ  لَهُمْ  عَذَابٌ  أَلِيمٌ  وَمَا  لَهُم  مِّن  نَّٰصِرِينَ inna lladhīna kafarū wa‑mātū wa‑hum kuffārun fa‑lan yuqbala min aḥadihim milʾu l‑arḍi dhahaban wa‑lawi iftadā bihi ulāʾika lahum ʿadhābun alīmun wa‑mā lahum min nāṣirīna
As to those who reject Faith, and die rejecting,- never would be accepted from any such as much gold as the earth contains, though they should offer it for ransom. For such is (in store) a penalty grievous, and they will find no helpers.

Surah 5 al-Māʾidah (The Table Spread)
(5:27)

وَٱتْلُ  عَلَيْهِمْ  نَبَأَ  ٱبْنَىْ  ءَادَمَ  بِٱلْحَقِّ  إِذْ  قَرَّبَا  قُرْبَانًا  فَتُقُبِّلَ  مِنْ  أَحَدِهِمَا  وَلَمْ  يُتَقَبَّلْ  مِنَ  ٱلْأَخَرِ  قَالَ  لَأَقْتُلَنَّكَ  قَالَ  إِنَّمَا  يَتَقَبَّلُ  ٱللَّـهُ  مِنَ  ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ wa‑itlu ʿalayhim nabaʾa abna ādama bil‑ḥaqqi idh qarrabā qurbānan fa‑tuqubbila min aḥadihimā wa‑lam yutaqabbal mina l‑akhari qalā la‑aqtulannaka qalā innamā yataqabbalu allāhu mina l‑muttaqīna
Recite to them the truth of the story of the two sons of Adam. Behold! they each presented a sacrifice (to Allah): It was accepted from one, but not from the other. Said the latter: "Be sure I will slay thee." "Surely," said the former, "Allah doth accept of the sacrifice of those who are righteous.
(5:36)

إِنَّ  ٱلَّذِينَ  كَفَرُوا۟  لَوْ  أَنَّ  لَهُم  مَّا  فِى  ٱلْأَرْضِ  جَمِيعًا  وَمِثْلَهُۥ  مَعَهُۥ  لِيَفْتَدُوا۟  بِهِۦ  مِنْ  عَذَابِ  يَوْمِ  ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ  مَا  تُقُبِّلَ  مِنْهُمْ  وَلَهُمْ  عَذَابٌ  أَلِيمٌ inna lladhīna kafarū law annā lahum l‑arḍi jamīʿan wamithlahu maʿahu li‑yaftadū bihi min ʿadhābi yawmi l‑qiyāmati tuqubbila minhum wa‑lahum ʿadhābun alīmun
As to those who reject Faith,- if they had everything on earth, and twice repeated, to give as ransom for the penalty of the Day of Judgment, it would never be accepted of them, theirs would be a grievous penalty.

Surah 9 al-Tawbah (Repentance)
(9:53)

قُلْ  أَنفِقُوا۟  طَوْعًا  أَوْ  كَرْهًا  لَّن  يُتَقَبَّلَ  مِنكُمْ  إِنَّكُمْ  كُنتُمْ  قَوْمًا  فَٰسِقِينَ qul anfiqū ṭawʿan aw karhan lan yutaqabbala minkum innakum kuntum qawman fāsiqīna
Say: "Spend (for the cause) willingly or unwillingly: not from you will it be accepted: for ye are indeed a people rebellious and wicked."
(9:104)

أَلَمْ  يَعْلَمُوٓا۟  أَنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  هُوَ  يَقْبَلُ  ٱلتَّوْبَةَ  عَنْ  عِبَادِهِۦ  وَيَأْخُذُ  ٱلصَّدَقَٰتِ  وَأَنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  هُوَ  ٱلتَّوَّابُ  ٱلرَّحِيمُ a‑lam yaʿlamū annā allāha huwa yaqbalu l‑tawbata ʿan ʿibādihi wa‑yaʾkhudhu l‑ṣadaqāti wa‑anna allāha huwa l‑tawwābu l‑raḥīmu
Know they not that Allah doth accept repentance from His votaries and receives their gifts of charity, and that Allah is verily He, the Oft-Returning, Most Merciful?

Surah 12 Yūsuf (Joseph)
(12:71)

قَالُوا۟  وَأَقْبَلُوا۟  عَلَيْهِم  مَّاذَا  تَفْقِدُونَ qālū wa‑aqbalū ʿalayhim mādhā tafqidūna
They said, turning towards them: "What is it that ye miss?"

Surah 14 Ibrāhīm (Abraham)
(14:40)

رَبِّ  ٱجْعَلْنِى  مُقِيمَ  ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ  وَمِن  ذُرِّيَّتِى  رَبَّنَا  وَتَقَبَّلْ  دُعَآءِ rabbi ajʿalnī muqīma l‑ṣalawti wa‑min dhurriyyatī rabbanā wa‑taqabbal duʿāʾī
O my Lord! make me one who establishes regular Prayer, and also (raise such) among my offspring O our Lord! and accept Thou my Prayer.

Surah 24 al-Nūr (The Light)
(24:4)

وَٱلَّذِينَ  يَرْمُونَ  ٱلْمُحْصَنَٰتِ  ثُمَّ  لَمْ  يَأْتُوا۟  بِأَرْبَعَةِ  شُهَدَآءَ  فَٱجْلِدُوهُمْ  ثَمَٰنِينَ  جَلْدَةً  وَلَا  تَقْبَلُوا۟  لَهُمْ  شَهَٰدَةً  أَبَدًا  وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ  هُمُ  ٱلْفَٰسِقُونَ wa‑lladhīna yarmūna l‑muḥṣanāti thumma lam yaʾtū bi‑arbaʿati shuhadāʾa fa‑ijlidūhum thamānīna jaldatan wa‑lā taqbalū lahum shahādatan abadan wa‑ūlāʾika humu l‑fāsiqūna
And those who launch a charge against chaste women, and produce not four witnesses (to support their allegations),- flog them with eighty stripes; and reject their evidence ever after: for such men are wicked transgressors;-

Surah 28 al-Qaṣaṣ (The Narrative)
(28:31)

وَأَنْ  أَلْقِ  عَصَاكَ  فَلَمَّا  رَءَاهَا  تَهْتَزُّ  كَأَنَّهَا  جَآنٌّ  وَلَّىٰ  مُدْبِرًا  وَلَمْ  يُعَقِّبْ  يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ  أَقْبِلْ  وَلَا  تَخَفْ  إِنَّكَ  مِنَ  ٱلْأَمِنِينَ wa‑an alqi ʿaṣāka fa‑lammā raʾāhā tahtazzu ka‑annahā jānnun walla mudbiran wa‑lam yuʿaqqib yā‑mūsā aqbil wa‑lā takhaf innaka mina l‑aminīna
"Now do thou throw thy rod!" but when he saw it moving (of its own accord) as if it had been a snake, he turned back in retreat, and retraced not his steps: O Moses!" (It was said), "Draw near, and fear not: for thou art of those who are secure.

Surah 37 al-Ṣaffāt (The Rangers)
(37:27)

وَأَقْبَلَ  بَعْضُهُمْ  عَلَىٰ  بَعْضٍ  يَتَسَآءَلُونَ wa‑aqbala baʿḍuhum ʿalā baʿḍin yatasāʾalūna
And they will turn to one another, and question one another.
(37:50)

فَأَقْبَلَ  بَعْضُهُمْ  عَلَىٰ  بَعْضٍ  يَتَسَآءَلُونَ fa‑aqbala baʿḍuhum ʿalā baʿḍin yatasāʾalūna
Then they will turn to one another and question one another.
(37:94)

فَأَقْبَلُوٓا۟  إِلَيْهِ  يَزِفُّونَ fa‑aqbalū ilayhi yaziffūna
Then came (the worshippers) with hurried steps, and faced (him).

Surah 42 al-Shūrā (The Counsel)
(42:25)

وَهُوَ  ٱلَّذِى  يَقْبَلُ  ٱلتَّوْبَةَ  عَنْ  عِبَادِهِۦ  وَيَعْفُوا۟  عَنِ  ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ  وَيَعْلَمُ  مَا  تَفْعَلُونَ wa‑huwa alladhī yaqbalu l‑tawbata ʿan ʿibādihi wa‑yaʿfū ʿani l‑sayyiʾāti wa‑yaʿlamu tafʿalūna
He is the One that accepts repentance from His Servants and forgives sins: and He knows all that ye do.

Surah 52 al-Ṭūr (The Mountain)
(52:25)

وَأَقْبَلَ  بَعْضُهُمْ  عَلَىٰ  بَعْضٍ  يَتَسَآءَلُونَ wa‑aqbala baʿḍuhum ʿalā baʿḍin yatasāʾalūna
They will advance to each other, engaging in mutual enquiry.

Surah 68 al-Qalam (The Pen)
(68:30)

فَأَقْبَلَ  بَعْضُهُمْ  عَلَىٰ  بَعْضٍ  يَتَلَٰوَمُونَ fa‑aqbala baʿḍuhum ʿalā baʿḍin yatalāwamūna
Then they turned, one against another, in reproach.
