Surah 7 al-Aʿrāf (The Heights)

(7:204)    | وَإِذَا قُرِئَ ٱلْقُرْءَانُ فَٱسْتَمِعُوا۟ لَهُۥ وَأَنصِتُوا۟ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ | wa‑idhā quriʾa l‑qurʾānu fa‑istamiʿū lahu wa‑anṣitū la‑ʿallakum turḥamūna | When the Qur'an is read, listen to it with attention, and hold
your peace: that ye may receive Mercy.
Sura al-Aʿrāf 7:204 وَإِذَا قُرِئَ ٱلْقُرْءَانُ فَٱسْتَمِعُوا۟ لَهُۥ وَأَنصِتُوا۟ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ wa-idhā quriʾa l-qurʾānu fa-istamiʿū lahu wa-anṣitū la-ʿallakum turḥamūna When the Qur'an is read, listen to it with attention, and hold your peace: that ye may receive Mercy. |
Surah 16 al-Naḥl (The Bee) | (16:98) | فَإِذَا قَرَأْتَ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ فَٱسْتَعِذْ بِٱللَّـهِ مِنَ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنِ ٱلرَّجِيمِ | fa‑idhā qaraʾta l‑qurʾāna fa‑istaʿidh billāhi mina l‑shayṭāni l‑rajīmi | When thou dost read the Qur'an, seek Allah's protection from
Satan the rejected one.
Sura al-Naḥl 16:98 فَإِذَا قَرَأْتَ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ فَٱسْتَعِذْ بِٱللَّـهِ مِنَ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنِ ٱلرَّجِيمِ fa-idhā qaraʾta l-qurʾāna fa-istaʿidh billāhi mina l-shayṭāni l-rajīmi When thou dost read the Qur'an, seek Allah's protection from Satan the rejected one. |
Surah 17 al-Isrāʾ (The Children of Israel) | (17:14) | ٱقْرَأْ كِتَٰبَكَ كَفَىٰ بِنَفْسِكَ ٱلْيَوْمَ عَلَيْكَ حَسِيبًا | iqraʾ kitābaka kafā binafsika l‑yawma ʿalayka ḥasīban | (It will be said to him:) "Read thine (own) record: Sufficient
is thy soul this day to make out an account against thee."
Sura al-Isrāʾ 17:14 ٱقْرَأْ كِتَٰبَكَ كَفَىٰ بِنَفْسِكَ ٱلْيَوْمَ عَلَيْكَ حَسِيبًا iqraʾ kitābaka kafā binafsika l-yawma ʿalayka ḥasīban (It will be said to him:) "Read thine (own) record: Sufficient is thy soul this day to make out an account against thee." |
| (17:45) | وَإِذَا قَرَأْتَ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ جَعَلْنَا بَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱلْأَخِرَةِ حِجَابًا مَّسْتُورًا | wa‑idhā qaraʾta l‑qurʾāna jaʿalnā baynaka wa‑bayna lladhīna lā yuʾminūna bil‑akhirati ḥijāban mastūran | When thou dost recite the Qur'an, We put, between thee and
those who believe not in the Hereafter, a veil invisible:
Sura al-Isrāʾ 17:45 وَإِذَا قَرَأْتَ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ جَعَلْنَا بَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱلْأَخِرَةِ حِجَابًا مَّسْتُورًا wa-idhā qaraʾta l-qurʾāna jaʿalnā baynaka wa-bayna lladhīna lā yuʾminūna bil-akhirati ḥijāban mastūran When thou dost recite the Qur'an, We put, between thee and those who believe not in the Hereafter, a veil invisible: |
| (17:106) | وَقُرْءَانًا فَرَقْنَٰهُ لِتَقْرَأَهُۥ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ عَلَىٰ مُكْثٍ وَنَزَّلْنَٰهُ تَنزِيلًا | wa‑qurānan faraqnāhu li‑taqraʾahu ʿalā l‑nāsi ʿalā mukthin wa‑nazzalnāhu tanzīlan | (It is) a Qur'an which We have divided (into parts from time
to time), in order that thou mightest recite it to men at intervals: We
have revealed it by stages.
Sura al-Isrāʾ 17:106 وَقُرْءَانًا فَرَقْنَٰهُ لِتَقْرَأَهُۥ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ عَلَىٰ مُكْثٍ وَنَزَّلْنَٰهُ تَنزِيلًا wa-qurānan faraqnāhu li-taqraʾahu ʿalā l-nāsi ʿalā mukthin wa-nazzalnāhu tanzīlan (It is) a Qur'an which We have divided (into parts from time to time), in order that thou mightest recite it to men at intervals: We have revealed it by stages. |
Surah 26 al-Shuʿarā (The Poets) | (26:199) | فَقَرَأَهُۥ عَلَيْهِم مَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ مُؤْمِنِينَ | fa‑qaraʾahu ʿalayhim mā kānū bihi muminīna | And had he recited it to them, they would not have believed in
it.
Sura al-Shuʿarā 26:199 فَقَرَأَهُۥ عَلَيْهِم مَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ مُؤْمِنِينَ fa-qaraʾahu ʿalayhim mā kānū bihi muminīna And had he recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. |
Surah 84 al-Inshiqāq (The Rending) | (84:21) | وَإِذَا قُرِئَ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْقُرْءَانُ لَا يَسْجُدُونَ | wa‑idhā quriʾa ʿalayhimu l‑qurʾānu lā yasjudūna | And when the Qur'an is read to them, they fall not prostrate,
Sura al-Inshiqāq 84:21 وَإِذَا قُرِئَ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْقُرْءَانُ لَا يَسْجُدُونَ wa-idhā quriʾa ʿalayhimu l-qurʾānu lā yasjudūna And when the Qur'an is read to them, they fall not prostrate, |
Surah 96 al-ʿAlaq (The Clot) | (96:1) | ٱقْرَأْ بِٱسْمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ | iqraʾ bi‑ismi rabbika alladhī khalaqa | Proclaim! (or read!) in the name of thy Lord and Cherisher,
Who created-
Sura al-ʿAlaq 96:1 ٱقْرَأْ بِٱسْمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ iqraʾ bi-ismi rabbika alladhī khalaqa Proclaim! (or read!) in the name of thy Lord and Cherisher, Who created- |
| (96:3) | ٱقْرَأْ وَرَبُّكَ ٱلْأَكْرَمُ | iqraʾ wa‑rabbuka l‑akramu | Proclaim! And thy Lord is Most Bountiful,-
Sura al-ʿAlaq 96:3 ٱقْرَأْ وَرَبُّكَ ٱلْأَكْرَمُ iqraʾ wa-rabbuka l-akramu Proclaim! And thy Lord is Most Bountiful,- |
