Sura al-Aʿrāf 7:185

أَوَلَمْ يَنظُرُوا۟ فِى مَلَكُوتِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا خَلَقَ ٱللَّـهُ مِن شَىْءٍ وَأَنْ عَسَىٰٓ أَن يَكُونَ قَدِ ٱقْتَرَبَ أَجَلُهُمْ فَبِأَىِّ حَدِيثٍۭ بَعْدَهُۥ يُؤْمِنُونَ

a-wa-lam yanẓurū fī malakūti l-samāwāti wa-l-arḍi wa-mā khalaqa allāhu min shayʾin wa-an ʿasā an yakūna qadi iqtaraba ajaluhum fa-bi-ayyi ḥadīthin baʿdahu yuʾminūna

Do they see nothing in the government of the heavens and the earth and all that Allah hath created? (Do they not see) that it may well be that their terms is nigh drawing to an end? In what message after this will they then believe?

Sura al-Anbiyāʾ 21:1

ٱقْتَرَبَ لِلنَّاسِ حِسَابُهُمْ وَهُمْ فِى غَفْلَةٍ مُّعْرِضُونَ

iqtaraba lil-nāsi ḥisābuhum wa-hum fī ghaflatin muʿriḍūna

Closer and closer to mankind comes their Reckoning: yet they heed not and they turn away.

Sura al-Anbiyāʾ 21:97

وَٱقْتَرَبَ ٱلْوَعْدُ ٱلْحَقُّ فَإِذَا هِىَ شَٰخِصَةٌ أَبْصَٰرُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ يَٰوَيْلَنَا قَدْ كُنَّا فِى غَفْلَةٍ مِّنْ هَٰذَا بَلْ كُنَّا ظَٰلِمِينَ

wa-iqtaraba l-waʿdu l-ḥaqqu fa-idhā hiya shākhiṣatun abṣāru lladhīna kafarū yā-waylanā qad kunnā fī ghaflatin min hādhā bal kunnā ẓālimīna

Then will the true promise draw nigh (of fulfilment): then behold! the eyes of the Unbelievers will fixedly stare in horror: "Ah! Woe to us! we were indeed heedless of this; nay, we truly did wrong!"

Sura Sabaʾ 34:37

وَمَآ أَمْوَٰلُكُمْ وَلَآ أَوْلَٰدُكُم بِٱلَّتِى تُقَرِّبُكُمْ عِندَنَا زُلْفَىٰٓ إِلَّا مَنْ ءَامَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَٰلِحًا فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمْ جَزَآءُ ٱلضِّعْفِ بِمَا عَمِلُوا۟ وَهُمْ فِى ٱلْغُرُفَٰتِ ءَامِنُونَ

wa-mā amwālukum wa-lā awlādukum billatī tuqarribukum ʿindanā zulfa illā man āmana wa-ʿamila ṣāliḥan fa-ūlāʾika lahum jazāʾu l-ḍiʿfi bi-mā ʿamilū wa-hum fī l-ghurufāti āminūna

It is not your wealth nor your sons, that will bring you nearer to Us in degree: but only those who believe and work righteousness - these are the ones for whom there is a multiplied Reward for their deeds, while secure they (reside) in the dwellings on high!

Sura al-Dhāriyāt 51:27

فَقَرَّبَهُۥٓ إِلَيْهِمْ قَالَ أَلَا تَأْكُلُونَ

fa-qarrabahu ilayhim qalā āla taʾkulūna

And placed it before them.. he said, "Will ye not eat?"

Sura al-Qamar 54:1

ٱقْتَرَبَتِ ٱلسَّاعَةُ وَٱنشَقَّ ٱلْقَمَرُ

iqtarabati l-sāʿatu wa-inshaqqa l-qamaru

The Hour (of Judgment) is nigh, and the moon is cleft asunder.

Sura al-ʿAlaq 96:19

كَلَّا لَا تُطِعْهُ وَٱسْجُدْ وَٱقْتَرِب

kallā lā tuṭiʿhu wa-isjud wa-iqtarib

Day, heed him not: But bow down in adoration, and bring thyself the closer (to Allah)!
