(7:143) | وَلَمَّا جَآءَ مُوسَىٰ لِمِيقَٰتِنَا وَكَلَّمَهُۥ رَبُّهُۥ قَالَ رَبِّ أَرِنِىٓ أَنظُرْ إِلَيْكَ قَالَ لَن تَرَىٰنِى وَلَٰكِنِ ٱنظُرْ إِلَى ٱلْجَبَلِ فَإِنِ ٱسْتَقَرَّ مَكَانَهُۥ فَسَوْفَ تَرَىٰنِى فَلَمَّا تَجَلَّىٰ رَبُّهُۥ لِلْجَبَلِ جَعَلَهُۥ دَكًّا وَخَرَّ مُوسَىٰ صَعِقًا فَلَمَّآ أَفَاقَ قَالَ سُبْحَٰنَكَ تُبْتُ إِلَيْكَ وَأَنَا۠ أَوَّلُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ | wa‑lammā jāa mūsā limīqātinā wa‑kallamahu rabbuhu qalā rabbi arinī anẓur ilayka qalā lan taranī wa‑lākini inẓur ilā l‑jabali fa‑ini staqarra makānahu fa‑sawfa taranī fa‑lammā tajallā rabbuhu lil‑jabali jaʿalahu dakkan wa‑kharra mūsā ṣaʿiqan fa‑lammā afāqa qalā subḥānaka tubtu ilayka wa‑anā awwalu l‑muʾminīna | When Moses came to the place appointed by Us, and his Lord
addressed him, He said: "O my Lord! show (Thyself) to me, that I may look
upon thee." Allah said: "By no means canst thou see Me (direct); But look
upon the mount; if it abide in its place, then shalt thou see Me." When his
Lord manifested His glory on the Mount, He made it as dust. And Moses fell
down in a swoon. When he recovered his senses he said: "Glory be to Thee!
to Thee I turn in repentance, and I am the first to believe."

(20:40) | إِذْ تَمْشِىٓ أُخْتُكَ فَتَقُولُ هَلْ أَدُلُّكُمْ عَلَىٰ مَن يَكْفُلُهُۥ فَرَجَعْنَٰكَ إِلَىٰٓ أُمِّكَ كَىْ تَقَرَّ عَيْنُهَا وَلَا تَحْزَنَ وَقَتَلْتَ نَفْسًا فَنَجَّيْنَٰكَ مِنَ ٱلْغَمِّ وَفَتَنَّٰكَ فُتُونًا فَلَبِثْتَ سِنِينَ فِىٓ أَهْلِ مَدْيَنَ ثُمَّ جِئْتَ عَلَىٰ قَدَرٍ يَٰمُوسَىٰ | idh tamshī ukhtuka fa‑taqūlu hal adullukum ʿalā man yakfuluhu farajaʿnāka ila ummika kay taqarra ʿaynuhā wa‑lā taḥzana wa‑qatalta nafsan fa‑najjaynāka mina l‑ghammi wa‑fatannāka futūnan fa‑labithta sinīna fī ahli madyana thumma jiʾta ʿalā qadarin yā‑mūsā | "Behold! thy sister goeth forth and saith, 'shall I show you
one who will nurse and rear the (child)?' So We brought thee back to thy
mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve. Then thou
didst slay a man, but We saved thee from trouble, and We tried thee in
various ways. Then didst thou tarry a number of years with the people of
Midian. Then didst thou come hither as ordained, O Moses!
Sura Ṭā Hā 20:40 إِذْ تَمْشِىٓ أُخْتُكَ فَتَقُولُ هَلْ أَدُلُّكُمْ عَلَىٰ مَن يَكْفُلُهُۥ فَرَجَعْنَٰكَ إِلَىٰٓ أُمِّكَ كَىْ تَقَرَّ عَيْنُهَا وَلَا تَحْزَنَ وَقَتَلْتَ نَفْسًا فَنَجَّيْنَٰكَ مِنَ ٱلْغَمِّ وَفَتَنَّٰكَ فُتُونًا فَلَبِثْتَ سِنِينَ فِىٓ أَهْلِ مَدْيَنَ ثُمَّ جِئْتَ عَلَىٰ قَدَرٍ يَٰمُوسَىٰ idh tamshī ukhtuka fa-taqūlu hal adullukum ʿalā man yakfuluhu farajaʿnāka ila ummika kay taqarra ʿaynuhā wa-lā taḥzana wa-qatalta nafsan fa-najjaynāka mina l-ghammi wa-fatannāka futūnan fa-labithta sinīna fī ahli madyana thumma jiʾta ʿalā qadarin yā-mūsā "Behold! thy sister goeth forth and saith, 'shall I show you one who will nurse and rear the (child)?' (28:13) | فَرَدَدْنَٰهُ إِلَىٰٓ أُمِّهِۦ كَىْ تَقَرَّ عَيْنُهَا وَلَا تَحْزَنَ وَلِتَعْلَمَ أَنَّ وَعْدَ ٱللَّـهِ حَقٌّ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ | fa‑radadnāhu ila ummihi kay taqarra ʿaynuhā wa‑lā taḥzana wa‑litaʿlama annā waʿda allāhi ḥaqqun wa‑lākinna aktharahum lā yaʿlamūna | Thus did We restore him to his mother, that her eye might be
comforted, that she might not grieve, and that she might know that the
promise of Allah is true: but most of them do not understand.
Sura al-Qaṣaṣ 28:13 فَرَدَدْنَٰهُ إِلَىٰٓ أُمِّهِۦ كَىْ تَقَرَّ عَيْنُهَا وَلَا تَحْزَنَ وَلِتَعْلَمَ أَنَّ وَعْدَ ٱللَّـهِ حَقٌّ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ fa-radadnāhu ila ummihi kay taqarra ʿaynuhā wa-lā taḥzana wa-litaʿlama annā waʿda allāhi ḥaqqun wa-lākinna aktharahum lā yaʿlamūna Thus did We restore him to his mother, that her eye might be comforted, that she might not grieve, and that she might know that the promise of Allah is true: but most of them do not understand. |
(33:51) | تُرْجِى مَن تَشَآءُ مِنْهُنَّ وَتُـْٔوِىٓ إِلَيْكَ مَن تَشَآءُ وَمَنِ ٱبْتَغَيْتَ مِمَّنْ عَزَلْتَ فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكَ ذَٰلِكَ أَدْنَىٰٓ أَن تَقَرَّ أَعْيُنُهُنَّ وَلَا يَحْزَنَّ وَيَرْضَيْنَ بِمَآ ءَاتَيْتَهُنَّ كُلُّهُنَّ وَٱللَّـهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا فِى قُلُوبِكُمْ وَكَانَ ٱللَّـهُ عَلِيمًا حَلِيمًا | turjī man tashāʾu minhunna wa‑tuʾwī ilayka man tashāʾu wa‑mani ibtaghayta mimman ʿazalta fa‑lā junāḥa ʿalayka dhālika adnā an taqarra aʿyunuhunna wa‑lā yaḥzanna wa‑yarḍayna bimā ātaytahunna kulluhunna wallāhu yaʿlamu mā fī qulūbikum wa‑kāna allāhu ʿalīman ḥalīman | Thou mayest defer (the turn of) any of them that thou
pleasest, and thou mayest receive any thou pleasest: and there is no blame
on thee if thou invite one whose (turn) thou hadst set aside. This were
nigher to the cooling of their eyes, the prevention of their grief, and
their satisfaction - that of all of them - with that which thou hast to
give them: and Allah knows (all) that is in your hearts: and Allah is
All-Knowing, Most Forbearing.
Sura al-Aḥzāb 33:51 تُرْجِى مَن تَشَآءُ مِنْهُنَّ وَتُـْٔوِىٓ إِلَيْكَ مَن تَشَآءُ وَمَنِ ٱبْتَغَيْتَ مِمَّنْ عَزَلْتَ فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكَ ذَٰلِكَ أَدْنَىٰٓ أَن تَقَرَّ أَعْيُنُهُنَّ وَلَا يَحْزَنَّ وَيَرْضَيْنَ بِمَآ ءَاتَيْتَهُنَّ كُلُّهُنَّ وَٱللَّـهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا فِى قُلُوبِكُمْ وَكَانَ ٱللَّـهُ عَلِيمًا حَلِيمًا turjī man tashāʾu minhunna wa-tuʾwī ilayka man tashāʾu wa-mani ibtaghayta mimman ʿazalta fa-lā junāḥa ʿalayka dhālika adnā an taqarra aʿyunuhunna wa-lā yaḥzanna wa-yarḍayna bimā ātaytahunna kulluhunna wallāhu yaʿlamu mā fī qulūbikum wa-kāna allāhu ʿalīman ḥalīman Thou mayest defer (the turn of) any of them that thou pleasest, and thou mayest receive any thou pleasest: and there is no blame on thee if thou invite one whose (turn) thou hadst set aside.
