Surah 4 al-Nisāʾ (The Women)
RefArabic    TransliterationTranslation
(4:164)

Of some messengers We have already told thee the story; of others We have not;- and to Moses Allah spoke direct;-

Surah 6 al-Anʿām (The Cattle)
(6:130)

يَٰمَعْشَرَ  ٱلْجِنِّ  وَٱلْإِنسِ  أَلَمْ  يَأْتِكُمْ  رُسُلٌ  مِّنكُمْ  يَقُصُّونَ  عَلَيْكُمْ  ءَايَٰتِى  وَيُنذِرُونَكُمْ  لِقَآءَ  يَوْمِكُمْ  هَٰذَا  قَالُوا۟  شَهِدْنَا  عَلَىٰٓ  أَنفُسِنَا  وَغَرَّتْهُمُ  ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ  ٱلدُّنْيَا  وَشَهِدُوا۟  عَلَىٰٓ  أَنفُسِهِمْ  أَنَّهُمْ  كَانُوا۟  كَٰفِرِينَ yā‑maʿshara l‑jinni wa‑l‑insi a‑lam yatikum rusulun minkum yaquṣṣūna ʿalaykum āyātī wa‑yundhirūnakum liqāʾa yawmikum hādhā qālū shahidnā ʿala anfusinā wa‑gharrathumu l‑ḥayātu l‑dunyā wa‑shahidū ʿala anfusihim annahum kānū kāfirīna
"O ye assembly of Jinns and men! came there not unto you messengers from amongst you, setting forth unto you My signs, and warning you of the meeting of this Day of yours?" They will say: "We bear witness against ourselves." It was the life of this world that deceived them. So against themselves will they bear witness that they rejected Faith.

Surah 7 al-Aʿrāf (The Heights)
(7:7)

And verily, We shall recount their whole story with knowledge, for We were never absent (at any time or place).
(7:35)

O ye Children of Adam! whenever there come to you messengers from amongst you, rehearsing My signs unto you,- those who are righteous and mend (their lives),- on them shall be no fear nor shall they grieve.
(7:101)

Such were the towns whose story We (thus) relate unto thee: There came indeed to them their messengers with clear (signs): But they would not believe what they had rejected before. Thus doth Allah seal up the hearts of those who reject faith.

Surah 11 Hūd (Hud)
(11:100)

ذَٰلِكَ  مِنْ  أَنۢبَآءِ  ٱلْقُرَىٰ  نَقُصُّهُۥ  عَلَيْكَ  مِنْهَا  قَآئِمٌ  وَحَصِيدٌ dhālika min anbāʾi l‑qurā naquṣṣuhu ʿalayka minhā qāʾimun wa‑ḥaṣīdun
These are some of the stories of communities which We relate unto thee: of them some are standing, and some have been mown down (by the sickle of time).
(11:120)

وَكُلًّا  نَّقُصُّ  عَلَيْكَ  مِنْ  أَنۢبَآءِ  ٱلرُّسُلِ  مَا  نُثَبِّتُ  بِهِۦ  فُؤَادَكَ  وَجَآءَكَ  فِى  هَٰذِهِ  ٱلْحَقُّ  وَمَوْعِظَةٌ  وَذِكْرَىٰ  لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ wa‑kullan nnaquṣṣu ʿalayka min anbāʾi l‑rusuli nuthabbitu bihi fuʾādaka wa‑jāʾaka hādhihi l‑ḥaqqu wa‑mawʿiẓatun wa‑dhikrā lil‑muʾminīna
All that we relate to thee of the stories of the messengers,- with it We make firm thy heart: in them there cometh to thee the Truth, as well as an exhortation and a message of remembrance to those who believe.

Surah 12 Yūsuf (Joseph)
(12:3)

نَحْنُ  نَقُصُّ  عَلَيْكَ  أَحْسَنَ  ٱلْقَصَصِ  بِمَآ  أَوْحَيْنَآ  إِلَيْكَ  هَٰذَا  ٱلْقُرْءَانَ  وَإِن  كُنتَ  مِن  قَبْلِهِۦ  لَمِنَ  ٱلْغَٰفِلِينَ naḥnu naquṣṣu ʿalayka aḥsana l‑qaṣaṣi bimā awḥaynā ilayka hādhā l‑qurʾāna wa‑in kunta min qablihi la‑mina l‑ghāfilīna
We do relate unto thee the most beautiful of stories, in that We reveal to thee this (portion of the) Qur'an: before this, thou too was among those who knew it not.

Surah 16 al-Naḥl (The Bee)
(16:118)

To the Jews We prohibited such things as We have mentioned to thee before: We did them no wrong, but they were used to doing wrong to themselves.

Surah 18 al-Kahf (The Cave)
(18:13)

We relate to thee their story in truth: they were youths who believed in their Lord, and We advanced them in guidance:

Surah 20 Ṭā Hā (Ta-Ha)
(20:99)

كَذَٰلِكَ  نَقُصُّ  عَلَيْكَ  مِنْ  أَنۢبَآءِ  مَا  قَدْ  سَبَقَ  وَقَدْ  ءَاتَيْنَٰكَ  مِن  لَّدُنَّا  ذِكْرًا ka‑dhālika naquṣṣu ʿalayka min anbāʾi qad sabaqa wa‑qad ātaynāka min lladunnā dhikran
Thus do We relate to thee some stories of what happened before: for We have sent thee a Message from Our own Presence.

Surah 40 al-Ghāfir (The Forgiving One)
(40:78)

وَلَقَدْ  أَرْسَلْنَا  رُسُلًا  مِّن  قَبْلِكَ  مِنْهُم  مَّن  قَصَصْنَا  عَلَيْكَ  وَمِنْهُم  مَّن  لَّمْ  نَقْصُصْ  عَلَيْكَ  وَمَا  كَانَ  لِرَسُولٍ  أَن  يَأْتِىَ  بِـَٔايَةٍ  إِلَّا  بِإِذْنِ  ٱللَّـهِ  فَإِذَا  جَآءَ  أَمْرُ  ٱللَّـهِ  قُضِىَ  بِٱلْحَقِّ  وَخَسِرَ  هُنَالِكَ  ٱلْمُبْطِلُونَ wa‑la‑qad arsalnā rusulan min qablika minhum man qaṣaṣnā ʿalayka wa‑minhum man lam naqṣuṣ ʿalayka wa‑mā kāna lirasūlin an yaʾtiya bi‑āyatin illā bi‑idhni allāhi fa‑idhā jāa amru allāhi quḍiya bil‑ḥaqqi wa‑khasira hunālika l‑mubṭilūna
We did aforetime send messengers before thee: of them there are some whose story We have related to thee, and some whose story We have not related to thee. It was not (possible) for any messenger to bring a sign except by the leave of Allah: but when the Command of Allah issued, the matter was decided in truth and justice, and there perished, there and then those who stood on Falsehoods.
