Sura al-Baqara 2:27

ٱلَّذِينَ يَنقُضُونَ عَهْدَ ٱللَّـهِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مِيثَٰقِهِۦ وَيَقْطَعُونَ مَآ أَمَرَ ٱللَّـهُ بِهِۦٓ أَن يُوصَلَ وَيُفْسِدُونَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْخَٰسِرُونَ

lladhīna yanquḍūna ʿahda allāhi min baʿdi mīthāqihi wa-yaqṭaʿūna mā amara allāhu bihi an yūṣala wa-yufsidūna fī l-arḍi ulāʾika humu l-khāsirūna

Those who break Allah's Covenant after it is ratified, and who sunder what Allah Has ordered to be joined, and do mischief on earth: These cause loss (only) to themselves.

Sura Āl-ʿImrān 3:127

لِيَقْطَعَ طَرَفًا مِّنَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ أَوْ يَكْبِتَهُمْ فَيَنقَلِبُوا۟ خَآئِبِينَ

li-yaqṭaʿa ṭarafan mina lladhīna kafarū aw yakbitahum fa-yanqalibū khāʾibīna

That He might cut off a fringe of the Unbelievers or expose them to infamy, and they should then be turned back, frustrated of their purpose.

Sura al-Māʾidah 5:38

وَٱلسَّارِقُ وَٱلسَّارِقَةُ فَٱقْطَعُوٓا۟ أَيْدِيَهُمَا جَزَآءًۢ بِمَا كَسَبَا نَكَٰلًا مِّنَ ٱللَّـهِ وَٱللَّـهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ

wal-sāriqu wa-l-sāriqatu faqṭaʿū aydiyahumā jazāʾan bi-mā kasabā nakālan mina allāhi wallāhu ʿazīzun ḥakīmun

As to the thief, Male or female, cut off his or her hands: a punishment by way of example, from Allah, for their crime: and Allah is Exalted in power.

Sura al-Anʿām 6:45

فَقُطِعَ دَابِرُ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ وَٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّـهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

faquṭiʿa dābiru l-qawmi lladhīna ẓalamū wa-l-ḥamdu lillāhi rabbi l-ʿālamīna

Of the wrong-doers the last remnant was cut off. Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher of the worlds.

Sura al-Anʿām 6:94

وَلَقَدْ جِئْتُمُونَا فُرَٰدَىٰ كَمَا خَلَقْنَٰكُمْ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ وَتَرَكْتُم مَّا خَوَّلْنَٰكُمْ وَرَآءَ ظُهُورِكُمْ وَمَا نَرَىٰ مَعَكُمْ شُفَعَآءَكُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ زَعَمْتُمْ أَنَّهُمْ فِيكُمْ شُرَكَٰٓؤُا۟ لَقَد تَّقَطَّعَ بَيْنَكُمْ وَضَلَّ عَنكُم مَّا كُنتُمْ تَزْعُمُونَ

wa-la-qad jiʾtumūnā furāda ka-mā khalaqnākum awwala marratin wa-taraktum mā khawwalnākum wa-rāʾa ẓuhūrikum wa-mā narā maʿakum shufaʿāʾakumu lladhīna zaʿamtum annahum fīkum shurakāʾu laqad taqaṭṭaʿa baynakum wa-ḍalla ʿankum mā kuntum tazʿumūna

"And behold! ye come to us bare and alone as We created you for the first time: ye have left behind you all (the favours) which We bestowed on you: We see not with you your intercessors whom ye thought to be partners in your affairs: so now all relations between you have been cut off, and your (pet) fancies have left you in the lurch!"

Sura al-Anfāl 8:7

وَإِذْ يَعِدُكُمُ ٱللَّـهُ إِحْدَى ٱلطَّآئِفَتَيْنِ أَنَّهَا لَكُمْ وَتَوَدُّونَ أَنَّ غَيْرَ ذَاتِ ٱلشَّوْكَةِ تَكُونُ لَكُمْ وَيُرِيدُ ٱللَّـهُ أَن يُحِقَّ ٱلْحَقَّ بِكَلِمَٰتِهِۦ وَيَقْطَعَ دَابِرَ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ

wa-idh yaʿidukumu allāhu iḥda l-ṭāʾifatayni annahā la-kum wa-tawaddūna annā ghayra dhāti l-shawkati takūnu la-kum wa-yurīdu allāhu an yuḥiqqa l-ḥaqqa bi-kalimātihi wa-yaqṭaʿa dābira l-kāfirīna

Behold! Allah promised you one of the two (enemy) parties, that it should be yours: Ye wished that the one unarmed should be yours, but Allah willed to justify the Truth according to His words and to cut off the roots of the Unbelievers;-

Sura al-Tawbah 9:121

وَلَا يُنفِقُونَ نَفَقَةً صَغِيرَةً وَلَا كَبِيرَةً وَلَا يَقْطَعُونَ وَادِيًا إِلَّا كُتِبَ لَهُمْ لِيَجْزِيَهُمُ ٱللَّـهُ أَحْسَنَ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ

wa-lā yunfiqūna nafaqatan ṣaghīratan wa-lā kabīratan wa-lā yaqṭaʿūna wādiyan illā kutiba lahum li-yajziyahumu allāhu aḥsana mā kānū yaʿmalūna

Nor could they spend anything (for the cause) - small or great- nor cut across a valley, but the deed is inscribed to their credit: that Allah may requite their deed with the best (possible reward).

Sura al-Raʿd 13:25

وَٱلَّذِينَ يَنقُضُونَ عَهْدَ ٱللَّـهِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مِيثَٰقِهِۦ وَيَقْطَعُونَ مَآ أَمَرَ ٱللَّـهُ بِهِۦٓ أَن يُوصَلَ وَيُفْسِدُونَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمُ ٱللَّعْنَةُ وَلَهُمْ سُوٓءُ ٱلدَّارِ

wa-lladhīna yanquḍūna ʿahda allāhi min baʿdi mīthāqihi wa-yaqṭaʿūna mā amara allāhu bihi an yūṣala wa-yufsidūna fī l-arḍi ulāʾika lahumu l-laʿnatu wa-lahum sūu l-dāri

But those who break the Covenant of Allah, after having plighted their word thereto, and cut asunder those things which Allah has commanded to be joined, and work mischief in the land;- on them is the curse; for them is the terrible home!

Sura al-Anbiyāʾ 21:93

وَتَقَطَّعُوٓا۟ أَمْرَهُم بَيْنَهُمْ كُلٌّ إِلَيْنَا رَٰجِعُونَ

wa-ṭaqaṭṭaʿū amrahum baynahum kullun ilaynā rājiʿūna

But (later generations) cut off their affair (of unity), one from another: (yet) will they all return to Us.

Sura al-Ḥajj 22:15

مَن كَانَ يَظُنُّ أَن لَّن يَنصُرَهُ ٱللَّـهُ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلْأَخِرَةِ فَلْيَمْدُدْ بِسَبَبٍ إِلَى ٱلسَّمَآءِ ثُمَّ لْيَقْطَعْ فَلْيَنظُرْ هَلْ يُذْهِبَنَّ كَيْدُهُۥ مَا يَغِيظُ

man kāna yaẓunnu an lan yanṣurahu allāhu fī l-dunyā wa-l-akhirati fa-l-yamdud bi-sababin ilā l-samāʾi thumma l-yaqṭaʿ falyanẓur hal yudhhibanna kayduhu mā yaghīẓu

If any think that Allah will not help him (His Messenger) in this world and the Hereafter, let him stretch out a rope to the ceiling and cut (himself) off: then let him see whether his plan will remove that which enrages (him)!

Sura al-Muʾminūn 23:53

فَتَقَطَّعُوٓا۟ أَمْرَهُم بَيْنَهُمْ زُبُرًا كُلُّ حِزْبٍۭ بِمَا لَدَيْهِمْ فَرِحُونَ

faṭaqaṭṭaʿū amrahum baynahum zuburan kullu ḥizbin bi-mā ladayhim fariḥūna

But people have cut off their affair (of unity), between them, into sects: each party rejoices in that which is with itself.

Sura al-ʿAnkabūt 29:29

أَئِنَّكُمْ لَتَأْتُونَ ٱلرِّجَالَ وَتَقْطَعُونَ ٱلسَّبِيلَ وَتَأْتُونَ فِى نَادِيكُمُ ٱلْمُنكَرَ فَمَا كَانَ جَوَابَ قَوْمِهِۦٓ إِلَّآ أَن قَالُوا۟ ٱئْتِنَا بِعَذَابِ ٱللَّـهِ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ

a-innakum la-taʾtūna l-rijāla wa-taqṭaʿūna l-sabīla wa-taʾtūna fī nādīkumu l-munkara fa-mā kāna jawāba qawmihi illā an qālū iʾtinā biʿadhābi allāhi in kunta mina l-ṣādiqīna

"Do ye indeed approach men, and cut off the highway?- and practise wickedness (even) in your councils?" But his people gave no answer but this: they said: "Bring us the Wrath of Allah if thou tellest the truth."

Sura Muḥammad 47:15

مَّثَلُ ٱلْجَنَّةِ ٱلَّتِى وُعِدَ ٱلْمُتَّقُونَ فِيهَآ أَنْهَٰرٌ مِّن مَّآءٍ غَيْرِ ءَاسِنٍ وَأَنْهَٰرٌ مِّن لَّبَنٍ لَّمْ يَتَغَيَّرْ طَعْمُهُۥ وَأَنْهَٰرٌ مِّنْ خَمْرٍ لَّذَّةٍ لِّلشَّٰرِبِينَ وَأَنْهَٰرٌ مِّنْ عَسَلٍ مُّصَفًّى وَلَهُمْ فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ وَمَغْفِرَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ كَمَنْ هُوَ خَٰلِدٌ فِى ٱلنَّارِ وَسُقُوا۟ مَآءً حَمِيمًا فَقَطَّعَ أَمْعَآءَهُمْ

mathalu l-jannati allatī wuʿida l-muttaqūna fīhā anhārun min māʾin ghayri āsinin wa-anhārun min labanin lam yataghayyar ṭaʿmuhu wa-anhārun min khamrin ladhdhatin lil-shāribīna wa-anhārun min ʿasalin muṣaffan wa-lahum fīhā min kulli l-thamarāti wa-maghfiratun min rabbihim kaman huwa khālidun fī l-nāri wa-suqū māʾan ḥamīman fa-qaṭṭaʿa amʿāʾahum

(Here is) a Parable of the Garden which the righteous are promised: in it are rivers of water incorruptible; rivers of milk of which the taste never changes; rivers of wine, a joy to those who drink; and rivers of honey pure and clear. In it there are for them all kinds of fruits; and Grace from their Lord. (Can those in such Bliss) be compared to such as shall dwell for ever in the Fire, and be given, to drink, boiling water, so that it cuts up their bowels (to pieces)?

Sura Muḥammad 47:22

فَهَلْ عَسَيْتُمْ إِن تَوَلَّيْتُمْ أَن تُفْسِدُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَتُقَطِّعُوٓا۟ أَرْحَامَكُمْ

fa-hal ʿasaytum in tawallaytum an tufsidū fī l-arḍi wa-ṭuqaṭṭiʿū arḥāmakum

Then, is it to be expected of you, if ye were put in authority, that ye will do mischief in the land, and break your ties of kith and kin?

Sura al-Ḥashr 59:5

مَا قَطَعْتُم مِّن لِّينَةٍ أَوْ تَرَكْتُمُوهَا قَآئِمَةً عَلَىٰٓ أُصُولِهَا فَبِإِذْنِ ٱللَّـهِ وَلِيُخْزِىَ ٱلْفَٰسِقِينَ

mā qaṭaʿtum min llīnatin aw taraktumūhā qāʾimatan ʿala uṣūlihā fabiidhni allāhi wa-līukhzīa l-fāsiqīna

Whether ye cut down (O ye Muslim!) The tender palm-trees, or ye left them standing on their roots, it was by leave of Allah, and in order that He might cover with shame the rebellious transgresses.
