Sura al-Anʿām 6:34

وَلَقَدْ كُذِّبَتْ رُسُلٌ مِّن قَبْلِكَ فَصَبَرُوا۟ عَلَىٰ مَا كُذِّبُوا۟ وَأُوذُوا۟ حَتَّىٰٓ أَتَىٰهُمْ نَصْرُنَا وَلَا مُبَدِّلَ لِكَلِمَٰتِ ٱللَّـهِ وَلَقَدْ جَآءَكَ مِن نَّبَإِى۟ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

wa-la-qad kudhdhibat rusulun min qablika fa-ṣabarū ʿalā mā kudhdhibū wa-ūdhū ḥatta atāhum naṣrunā wa-lā mubaddila li-kalimāti allāhi wa-la-qad jāʾaka min nabaʾi l-mursalīna

Rejected were the messengers before thee: with patience and constancy they bore their rejection and their wrongs, until Our aid did reach them: there is none that can alter the words (and decrees) of Allah. Already hast thou received some account of those messengers.

Sura Yūsuf 12:27

وَإِن كَانَ قَمِيصُهُۥ قُدَّ مِن دُبُرٍ فَكَذَبَتْ وَهُوَ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ

wa-in kāna qamīṣuhu qudda min duburin fa-kadhabat wa-huwa mina l-ṣādiqīna

"But if it be that his shirt is torn from the back, then is she the liar, and he is telling the truth!"

Sura al-Ḥajj 22:42

وَإِن يُكَذِّبُوكَ فَقَدْ كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ وَعَادٌ وَثَمُودُ

wa-in yukadhdhibūka fa-qad kadhdhabat qablahum qawmu nūḥin wa-ʿādun wa-thamūdu

If they treat thy (mission) as false, so did the peoples before them (with their prophets),- the People of Noah, and 'Ad and Thamud;

Sura al-Shuʿarā 26:105

كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

kadhdhabat qawmu nūḥin l-mursalīna

The people of Noah rejected the messengers.

Sura al-Shuʿarā 26:123

كَذَّبَتْ عَادٌ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

kadhdhabat ʿādun l-mursalīna

The 'Ad (people) rejected the messengers.

Sura al-Shuʿarā 26:141

كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

kadhdhabat thamūdu l-mursalīna

The Thamud (people) rejected the messengers.

Sura al-Shuʿarā 26:160

كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ لُوطٍ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

kadhdhabat qawmu lūṭin l-mursalīna

The people of Lut rejected the messengers.

Sura al-Faṭīr 35:4

وَإِن يُكَذِّبُوكَ فَقَدْ كُذِّبَتْ رُسُلٌ مِّن قَبْلِكَ وَإِلَى ٱللَّـهِ تُرْجَعُ ٱلْأُمُورُ

wa-in yukadhdhibūka fa-qad kudhdhibat rusulun min qablika wa-ilā allāhi turjaʿu l-umūru

And if they reject thee, so were messengers rejected before thee: to Allah back for decision all affairs.

Sura Ṣād 38:12

كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ وَعَادٌ وَفِرْعَوْنُ ذُو ٱلْأَوْتَادِ

kadhdhabat qablahum qawmu nūḥin wa-ʿādun wa-firʿawnu dhū l-awtādi

Before them (were many who) rejected messengers,- the people of Noah, and 'Ad, and Pharaoh, the Lord of Stakes,

Sura al-Ghāfir 40:5

كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ وَٱلْأَحْزَابُ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِمْ وَهَمَّتْ كُلُّ أُمَّةٍۭ بِرَسُولِهِمْ لِيَأْخُذُوهُ وَجَٰدَلُوا۟ بِٱلْبَٰطِلِ لِيُدْحِضُوا۟ بِهِ ٱلْحَقَّ فَأَخَذْتُهُمْ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عِقَابِ

kadhdhabat qablahum qawmu nūḥin wa-l-aḥzābu min baʿdihim wa-hammat kullu ummatin birasūlihim li-yaʾkhudhūhu wa-jādalū bil-bāṭili li-yudḥiḍū bihi l-ḥaqqa fa-akhadhtuhum fa-kayfa kāna ʿiqābi

But (there were people) before them, who denied (the Signs),- the People of Noah, and the Confederates (of Evil) after them; and every People plotted against their prophet, to seize him, and disputed by means of vanities, therewith to condemn the Truth; but it was I that seized them! and how (terrible) was My Requital!

Sura Qāf 50:12

كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ وَأَصْحَٰبُ ٱلرَّسِّ وَثَمُودُ

kadhdhabat qablahum qawmu nūḥin wa-aṣḥābu l-rassi wa-thamūdu

Before them was denied (the Hereafter) by the People of Noah, the Companions of the Rass, the Thamud,

Sura al-Qamar 54:9

كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ فَكَذَّبُوا۟ عَبْدَنَا وَقَالُوا۟ مَجْنُونٌ وَٱزْدُجِرَ

kadhdhabat qablahum qawmu nūḥin fa-kadhdhabū ʿabdanā wa-qālū majnūnun wa-izdujira

Before them the People of Noah rejected (their messenger): they rejected Our servant, and said, "Here is one possessed!", and he was driven out.

Sura al-Qamar 54:18

كَذَّبَتْ عَادٌ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِى وَنُذُرِ

kadhdhabat ʿādun fa-kayfa kāna ʿadhābī wa-nudhuri

The 'Ad (people) (too) rejected (Truth): then how terrible was My Penalty and My Warning?

Sura al-Qamar 54:23

كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ بِٱلنُّذُرِ

kadhdhabat thamūdu bil-nudhuri

The Thamud (also) rejected (their) Warners.

Sura al-Qamar 54:33

كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ لُوطٍۭ بِٱلنُّذُرِ

kadhdhabat qawmu lūṭin bil-nudhuri

The people of Lut rejected (his) warning.

Sura al-Ḥāqqah 69:4

كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ وَعَادٌۢ بِٱلْقَارِعَةِ

kadhdhabat thamūdu wa-ʿādun bil-qāriʿati

The Thamud and the 'Ad People (branded) as false the Stunning Calamity!

Sura al-Shams 91:11

كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ بِطَغْوَىٰهَآ

kadhdhabat thamūdu bi-ṭaghwāhā

The Thamud (people) rejected (their prophet) through their inordinate wrong-doing,
