Sura Yūsuf 12:21

وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِى ٱشْتَرَىٰهُ مِن مِّصْرَ لِٱمْرَأَتِهِۦٓ أَكْرِمِى مَثْوَىٰهُ عَسَىٰٓ أَن يَنفَعَنَآ أَوْ نَتَّخِذَهُۥ وَلَدًا وَكَذَٰلِكَ مَكَّنَّا لِيُوسُفَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلِنُعَلِّمَهُۥ مِن تَأْوِيلِ ٱلْأَحَادِيثِ وَٱللَّـهُ غَالِبٌ عَلَىٰٓ أَمْرِهِۦ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ

wa-qāla alladhī ishtarāhu min miṣra li-imraʾatihi akrimī mathwahu ʿasā an yanfaʿanā aw nattakhidhahu waladan wa-ka-dhālika makkannā li-yūsufa fī l-arḍi wa-linuʿallimahu min taʾwīli l-aḥādīthi wallāhu ghālibun ʿala amrihi wa-lākinna akthara l-nāsi lā yaʿlamūna

The man in Egypt who bought him, said to his wife: "Make his stay (among us) honourable: may be he will bring us much good, or we shall adopt him as a son." Thus did We establish Joseph in the land, that We might teach him the interpretation of stories (and events). And Allah hath full power and control over His affairs; but most among mankind know it not.

Sura al-Isrāʾ 17:62

قَالَ أَرَءَيْتَكَ هَٰذَا ٱلَّذِى كَرَّمْتَ عَلَىَّ لَئِنْ أَخَّرْتَنِ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ لَأَحْتَنِكَنَّ ذُرِّيَّتَهُۥٓ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا

qalā araʾaytaka hādhā alladhī karramta ʿalayya lain akhkhartani ilā yawmi l-qiyāmati la-aḥtanikanna dhurriyyatahu illā qalīlan

He said: "Seest Thou? this is the one whom Thou hast honoured above me! If Thou wilt but respite me to the Day of Judgment, I will surely bring his descendants under my sway - all but a few!"

Sura al-Isrāʾ 17:70

وَلَقَدْ كَرَّمْنَا بَنِىٓ ءَادَمَ وَحَمَلْنَٰهُمْ فِى ٱلْبَرِّ وَٱلْبَحْرِ وَرَزَقْنَٰهُم مِّنَ ٱلطَّيِّبَٰتِ وَفَضَّلْنَٰهُمْ عَلَىٰ كَثِيرٍ مِّمَّنْ خَلَقْنَا تَفْضِيلًا

wa-la-qad karramnā banī ādama wa-ḥamalnāhum fī l-barri wa-l-baḥri wa-razaqnāhum mina l-ṭayyibāti wa-faḍḍalnāhum ʿalā kathīrin mimman khalaqnā tafḍīlan

We have honoured the sons of Adam; provided them with transport on land and sea; given them for sustenance things good and pure; and conferred on them special favours, above a great part of our creation.

Sura al-Fajr 89:15

فَأَمَّا ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ إِذَا مَا ٱبْتَلَىٰهُ رَبُّهُۥ فَأَكْرَمَهُۥ وَنَعَّمَهُۥ فَيَقُولُ رَبِّىٓ أَكْرَمَنِ

fa-ammā l-insānu idhā mā ibtalāhu rabbuhu fa-akramahu wa-naʿʿamahu fa-yaqūlu rabbī akramani

Now, as for man, when his Lord trieth him, giving him honour and gifts, then saith he, (puffed up), "My Lord hath honoured me."

Sura al-Fajr 89:17

كَلَّا بَل لَّا تُكْرِمُونَ ٱلْيَتِيمَ

kallā bal lā tukrimūna l-yatīma

Nay, nay! but ye honour not the orphans!
