Surah 2 al-Baqara (The Cow)
RefArabic    TransliterationTranslation
(2:79)

Then woe to those who write the Book with their own hands, and then say:"This is from Allah," to traffic with it for miserable price!- Woe to them for what their hands do write, and for the gain they make thereby.
(2:81)

بَلَىٰ  مَن  كَسَبَ  سَيِّئَةً  وَأَحَٰطَتْ  بِهِۦ  خَطِيٓـَٔتُهُۥ  فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ  أَصْحَٰبُ  ٱلنَّارِ  هُمْ  فِيهَا  خَٰلِدُونَ balā man kasaba sayyiʾatan wa‑aḥāṭat bihi khaṭīʾatuhu fa‑ūlāʾika aṣḥābu l‑nāri hum fīhā khālidūna
Nay, those who seek gain in evil, and are girt round by their sins,- they are companions of the Fire: Therein shall they abide (For ever).
(2:134)

That was a people that hath passed away. They shall reap the fruit of what they did, and ye of what ye do! Of their merits there is no question in your case!
(2:141)

That was a people that hath passed away. They shall reap the fruit of what they did, and ye of what ye do! Of their merits there is no question in your case:
(2:202)

To these will be allotted what they have earned; and Allah is quick in account.
(2:225)

Allah will not call you to account for thoughtlessness in your oaths, but for the intention in your hearts; and He is Oft-forgiving, Most Forbearing.
(2:264)

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا  ٱلَّذِينَ  ءَامَنُوا۟  لَا  تُبْطِلُوا۟  صَدَقَٰتِكُم  بِٱلْمَنِّ  وَٱلْأَذَىٰ  كَٱلَّذِى  يُنفِقُ  مَالَهُۥ  رِئَآءَ  ٱلنَّاسِ  وَلَا  يُؤْمِنُ  بِٱللَّـهِ  وَٱلْيَوْمِ  ٱلْأَخِرِ  فَمَثَلُهُۥ  كَمَثَلِ  صَفْوَانٍ  عَلَيْهِ  تُرَابٌ  فَأَصَابَهُۥ  وَابِلٌ  فَتَرَكَهُۥ  صَلْدًا  لَّا  يَقْدِرُونَ  عَلَىٰ  شَىْءٍ  مِّمَّا  كَسَبُوا۟  وَٱللَّـهُ  لَا  يَهْدِى  ٱلْقَوْمَ  ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ yā‑ayyuhā lladhīna āmanū tubṭilū ṣadaqātikum bil‑manni wa‑l‑adha ka‑lladhī yunfiqu mālahu riʾāʾa l‑nāsi wa‑lā yuʾminū billāhi wa‑l‑yawmi l‑akhiri fa‑mathaluhu ka‑mathali ṣafwānin ʿalayhi turābun fa‑aṣābahu wābilun fa‑tarakahu ṣaldan yaqdirūna ʿalā shayʾin mimmā kasabū wallāhu yahdī l‑qawma l‑kāfirīna
O ye who believe! cancel not your charity by reminders of your generosity or by injury,- like those who spend their substance to be seen of men, but believe neither in Allah nor in the Last Day. They are in parable like a hard, barren rock, on which is a little soil: on it falls heavy rain, which leaves it (Just) a bare stone. They will be able to do nothing with aught they have earned. And Allah guideth not those who reject faith.
(2:281)

And fear the Day when ye shall be brought back to Allah. Then shall every soul be paid what it earned, and none shall be dealt with unjustly.
(2:286)

لَا  يُكَلِّفُ  ٱللَّـهُ  نَفْسًا  إِلَّا  وُسْعَهَا  لَهَا  مَا  كَسَبَتْ  وَعَلَيْهَا  مَا  ٱكْتَسَبَتْ  رَبَّنَا  لَا  تُؤَاخِذْنَآ  إِن  نَّسِينَآ  أَوْ  أَخْطَأْنَا  رَبَّنَا  وَلَا  تَحْمِلْ  عَلَيْنَآ  إِصْرًا  كَمَا  حَمَلْتَهُۥ  عَلَى  ٱلَّذِينَ  مِن  قَبْلِنَا  رَبَّنَا  وَلَا  تُحَمِّلْنَا  مَا  لَا  طَاقَةَ  لَنَا  بِهِۦ  وَٱعْفُ  عَنَّا  وَٱغْفِرْ  لَنَا  وَٱرْحَمْنَآ  أَنتَ  مَوْلَىٰنَا  فَٱنصُرْنَا  عَلَى  ٱلْقَوْمِ  ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ yukallifu allāhu nafsan illā wusʿahā lahā kasabat wa‑ʿalayhā aktasabat rabbanā tuʾākhidhnā in nasīnā aw akhṭanā rabbanā wa‑lā taḥmil ʿalaynā iṣran ka‑mā ḥamaltahu ʿalā lladhīna min qablinā rabbanā wa‑lā tuḥammilnā ṭāqata la‑nā bihi wa‑aʿfu ʿannā wa‑aghfir la‑nā wa‑arḥamnā anta mawlanā fa‑anṣurnā ʿalā l‑qawmi l‑kāfirīna
On no soul doth Allah Place a burden greater than it can bear. It gets every good that it earns, and it suffers every ill that it earns. (Pray:) "Our Lord! Condemn us not if we forget or fall into error; our Lord! Lay not on us a burden Like that which Thou didst lay on those before us; Our Lord! Lay not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear. Blot out our sins, and grant us forgiveness. Have mercy on us. Thou art our Protector; Help us against those who stand against faith."

Surah 3 Āl-ʿImrān (The Family of Imran)
(3:25)

But how (will they fare) when we gather them together against a day about which there is no doubt, and each soul will be paid out just what it has earned, without (favour or) injustice?
(3:155)

Those of you who turned back on the day the two hosts Met,-it was Satan who caused them to fail, because of some (evil) they had done. But Allah Has blotted out (their fault): For Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Forbearing.
(3:161)

وَمَا  كَانَ  لِنَبِىٍّ  أَن  يَغُلَّ  وَمَن  يَغْلُلْ  يَأْتِ  بِمَا  غَلَّ  يَوْمَ  ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ  ثُمَّ  تُوَفَّىٰ  كُلُّ  نَفْسٍ  مَّا  كَسَبَتْ  وَهُمْ  لَا  يُظْلَمُونَ wa‑mā kāna li‑nabiyyin an yaghulla wa‑man yaghlul yaʾti bi‑mā ghalla yawma l‑qiyāmati thumma tuwaffā kullu nafsin kasabat wa‑hum yuẓlamūna
No prophet could (ever) be false to his trust. If any person is so false, He shall, on the Day of Judgment, restore what he misappropriated; then shall every soul receive its due,- whatever it earned,- and none shall be dealt with unjustly.

Surah 4 al-Nisāʾ (The Women)
(4:32)

وَلَا  تَتَمَنَّوْا۟  مَا  فَضَّلَ  ٱللَّـهُ  بِهِۦ  بَعْضَكُمْ  عَلَىٰ  بَعْضٍ  لِّلرِّجَالِ  نَصِيبٌ  مِّمَّا  ٱكْتَسَبُوا۟  وَلِلنِّسَآءِ  نَصِيبٌ  مِّمَّا  ٱكْتَسَبْنَ  وَسْـَٔلُوا۟  ٱللَّـهَ  مِن  فَضْلِهِۦٓ  إِنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  كَانَ  بِكُلِّ  شَىْءٍ  عَلِيمًا wa‑lā tatamannaw faḍḍala allāhu bihi baʿḍakum ʿalā baʿḍin lil‑rijāli naṣībun mimmā iktasabū wa‑lil‑nisāʾi naṣībun mimmā iktasabna wa‑sʾalū allāha min faḍlihi inna allāha kāna bi‑kulli shayʾin ʿalīman
And in no wise covet those things in which Allah Hath bestowed His gifts More freely on some of you than on others: To men is allotted what they earn, and to women what they earn: But ask Allah of His bounty. For Allah hath full knowledge of all things.
(4:88)

فَمَا  لَكُمْ  فِى  ٱلْمُنَٰفِقِينَ  فِئَتَيْنِ  وَٱللَّـهُ  أَرْكَسَهُم  بِمَا  كَسَبُوٓا۟  أَتُرِيدُونَ  أَن  تَهْدُوا۟  مَنْ  أَضَلَّ  ٱللَّـهُ  وَمَن  يُضْلِلِ  ٱللَّـهُ  فَلَن  تَجِدَ  لَهُۥ  سَبِيلًا fa‑mā la‑kum l‑munāfiqīna fiʾatayni wallāhu arkasahum bi‑mā kasabū aturīdūna an tahdū man aḍalla allāhu wa‑man yuḍlili allāhu fa‑lan tajida lahu sabīlan
Why should ye be divided into two parties about the Hypocrites? Allah hath upset them for their (evil) deeds. Would ye guide those whom Allah hath thrown out of the Way? For those whom Allah hath thrown out of the Way, never shalt thou find the Way.
(4:111)

وَمَن  يَكْسِبْ  إِثْمًا  فَإِنَّمَا  يَكْسِبُهُۥ  عَلَىٰ  نَفْسِهِۦ  وَكَانَ  ٱللَّـهُ  عَلِيمًا  حَكِيمًا wa‑man yaksib ithman fa‑innamā yaksibuhu ʿalā nafsihi wa‑kāna allāhu ʿalīman ḥakīman
And if any one earns sin. he earns it against His own soul: for Allah is full of knowledge and wisdom.
(4:112)

وَمَن  يَكْسِبْ  خَطِيٓـَٔةً  أَوْ  إِثْمًا  ثُمَّ  يَرْمِ  بِهِۦ  بَرِيٓـًٔا  فَقَدِ  ٱحْتَمَلَ  بُهْتَٰنًا  وَإِثْمًا  مُّبِينًا wa‑man yaksib khaṭīʾatan aw ithman thumma yarmi bihi barīʾan fa‑qadi iḥtamala buhtānan wa‑ithman mubīnan
But if any one earns a fault or a sin and throws it on to one that is innocent, He carries (on himself) (Both) a falsehood and a flagrant sin.

Surah 5 al-Māʾidah (The Table Spread)
(5:38)

وَٱلسَّارِقُ  وَٱلسَّارِقَةُ  فَٱقْطَعُوٓا۟  أَيْدِيَهُمَا  جَزَآءًۢ  بِمَا  كَسَبَا  نَكَٰلًا  مِّنَ  ٱللَّـهِ  وَٱللَّـهُ  عَزِيزٌ  حَكِيمٌ wal‑sāriqu wa‑l‑sāriqatu faqṭaʿū aydiyahumā jazāʾan bi‑mā kasabā nakālan mina allāhi wallāhu ʿazīzun ḥakīmun
As to the thief, Male or female, cut off his or her hands: a punishment by way of example, from Allah, for their crime: and Allah is Exalted in power.

Surah 6 al-Anʿām (The Cattle)
(6:70)

وَذَرِ  ٱلَّذِينَ  ٱتَّخَذُوا۟  دِينَهُمْ  لَعِبًا  وَلَهْوًا  وَغَرَّتْهُمُ  ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ  ٱلدُّنْيَا  وَذَكِّرْ  بِهِۦٓ  أَن  تُبْسَلَ  نَفْسٌۢ  بِمَا  كَسَبَتْ  لَيْسَ  لَهَا  مِن  دُونِ  ٱللَّـهِ  وَلِىٌّ  وَلَا  شَفِيعٌ  وَإِن  تَعْدِلْ  كُلَّ  عَدْلٍ  لَّا  يُؤْخَذْ  مِنْهَآ  أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ  ٱلَّذِينَ  أُبْسِلُوا۟  بِمَا  كَسَبُوا۟  لَهُمْ  شَرَابٌ  مِّنْ  حَمِيمٍ  وَعَذَابٌ  أَلِيمٌۢ  بِمَا  كَانُوا۟  يَكْفُرُونَ wa‑dhari lladhīna ittakhadhū dīnahum laʿiban wa‑lahwan wa‑gharrathumu l‑ḥayātu l‑dunyā wa‑dhakkir bihi an tubsala nafsun bi‑mā kasabat laysa lahā min dūni allāhi waliyyun wa‑lā shafīʿun wa‑in taʿdil kulla ʿadlin yukhadh minhā ulāʾika lladhīna ubsilū bi‑mā kasabū lahum sharābun min ḥamīmin wa‑ʿadhābun alīmun bi‑mā kānū yakfurūna
Leave alone those who take their religion to be mere play and amusement, and are deceived by the life of this world. But proclaim (to them) this (truth): that every soul delivers itself to ruin by its own acts: it will find for itself no protector or intercessor except Allah: if it offered every ransom, (or reparation), none will be accepted: such is (the end of) those who deliver themselves to ruin by their own acts: they will have for drink (only) boiling water, and for punishment, one most grievous: for they persisted in rejecting Allah.
(6:120)

Eschew all sin, open or secret: those who earn sin will get due recompense for their "earnings."
(6:129)

Thus do we make the wrong-doers turn to each other, because of what they earn.
(6:158)

هَلْ  يَنظُرُونَ  إِلَّآ  أَن  تَأْتِيَهُمُ  ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ  أَوْ  يَأْتِىَ  رَبُّكَ  أَوْ  يَأْتِىَ  بَعْضُ  ءَايَٰتِ  رَبِّكَ  يَوْمَ  يَأْتِى  بَعْضُ  ءَايَٰتِ  رَبِّكَ  لَا  يَنفَعُ  نَفْسًا  إِيمَٰنُهَا  لَمْ  تَكُنْ  ءَامَنَتْ  مِن  قَبْلُ  أَوْ  كَسَبَتْ  فِىٓ  إِيمَٰنِهَا  خَيْرًا  قُلِ  ٱنتَظِرُوٓا۟  إِنَّا  مُنتَظِرُونَ hal yanẓurūna illā an taʾtiyahumu l‑malāʾikatu aw yaʾtiya rabbuka aw yaʾtiya baʿḍu āyāti rabbika yawma yaʾtī baʿḍu āyāti rabbika yanfaʿu nafsan īmānuhā lam takun āmanat min qablu aw kasabat īmānihā khayran quli antaẓirū innā muntaẓirūna
Are they waiting to see if the angels come to them, or thy Lord (Himself), or certain of the signs of thy Lord! the day that certain of the signs of thy Lord do come, no good will it do to a soul to believe in them then if it believed not before nor earned righteousness through its faith. Say: "Wait ye: we too are waiting."
(6:164)

قُلْ  أَغَيْرَ  ٱللَّـهِ  أَبْغِى  رَبًّا  وَهُوَ  رَبُّ  كُلِّ  شَىْءٍ  وَلَا  تَكْسِبُ  كُلُّ  نَفْسٍ  إِلَّا  عَلَيْهَا  وَلَا  تَزِرُ  وَازِرَةٌ  وِزْرَ  أُخْرَىٰ  ثُمَّ  إِلَىٰ  رَبِّكُم  مَّرْجِعُكُمْ  فَيُنَبِّئُكُم  بِمَا  كُنتُمْ  فِيهِ  تَخْتَلِفُونَ qul aghayra allāhi abghī rabban wa‑huwa rabbu kulli shayʾin wa‑lā taksibu kullu nafsin illā ʿalayhā wa‑lā taziru wāziratun wizra ukhrā thumma ilā rabbikum marjiʿukum fa‑yunabbiʾukum bi‑mā kuntum fīhi takhtalifūna
Say: "Shall I seek for (my) Cherisher other than Allah, when He is the Cherisher of all things (that exist)? Every soul draws the meed of its acts on none but itself: no bearer of burdens can bear of burdens can bear the burden of another. Your goal in the end is towards Allah: He will tell you the truth of the things wherein ye disputed."

Surah 7 al-Aʿrāf (The Heights)
(7:96)

وَلَوْ  أَنَّ  أَهْلَ  ٱلْقُرَىٰٓ  ءَامَنُوا۟  وَٱتَّقَوْا۟  لَفَتَحْنَا  عَلَيْهِم  بَرَكَٰتٍ  مِّنَ  ٱلسَّمَآءِ  وَٱلْأَرْضِ  وَلَٰكِن  كَذَّبُوا۟  فَأَخَذْنَٰهُم  بِمَا  كَانُوا۟  يَكْسِبُونَ wa‑law annā ahla al‑qura āmanū wa‑ittaqaw la‑fataḥnā ʿalayhim barakātin mina l‑samāʾi wa‑l‑arḍi wa‑lākin kadhdhabū fa‑akhadhnāhum bi‑mā kānū yaksibūna
If the people of the towns had but believed and feared Allah, We should indeed have opened out to them (All kinds of) blessings from heaven and earth; but they rejected (the truth), and We brought them to book for their misdeeds.

Surah 9 al-Tawbah (Repentance)
(9:82)

فَلْيَضْحَكُوا۟  قَلِيلًا  وَلْيَبْكُوا۟  كَثِيرًا  جَزَآءًۢ  بِمَا  كَانُوا۟  يَكْسِبُونَ fa‑l‑yaḍḥakū qalīlan wa‑l‑yabkū kathīran jazāʾan bi‑mā kānū yaksibūna
Let them laugh a little: much will they weep: a recompense for the (evil) that they do.
(9:95)

سَيَحْلِفُونَ  بِٱللَّـهِ  لَكُمْ  إِذَا  ٱنقَلَبْتُمْ  إِلَيْهِمْ  لِتُعْرِضُوا۟  عَنْهُمْ  فَأَعْرِضُوا۟  عَنْهُمْ  إِنَّهُمْ  رِجْسٌ  وَمَأْوَىٰهُمْ  جَهَنَّمُ  جَزَآءًۢ  بِمَا  كَانُوا۟  يَكْسِبُونَ sa‑yaḥlifūna billāhi la‑kum idhā inqalabtum ilayhim li‑tuʿriḍū ʿanhum fa‑aʿriḍū ʿanhum innahum rijsun wa‑maʾwāhum jahannamu jazāʾan bi‑mā kānū yaksibūna
They will swear to you by Allah, when ye return to them, that ye may leave them alone. So leave them alone: For they are an abomination, and Hell is their dwelling-place,-a fitting recompense for the (evil) that they did.

Surah 10 Yūnus (Jonah)
(10:8)

Their abode is the Fire, because of the (evil) they earned.
(10:27)

وَٱلَّذِينَ  كَسَبُوا۟  ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ  جَزَآءُ  سَيِّئَةٍۭ  بِمِثْلِهَا  وَتَرْهَقُهُمْ  ذِلَّةٌ  مَّا  لَهُم  مِّنَ  ٱللَّـهِ  مِنْ  عَاصِمٍ  كَأَنَّمَآ  أُغْشِيَتْ  وُجُوهُهُمْ  قِطَعًا  مِّنَ  ٱلَّيْلِ  مُظْلِمًا  أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ  أَصْحَٰبُ  ٱلنَّارِ  هُمْ  فِيهَا  خَٰلِدُونَ wa‑lladhīna kasabū l‑sayyiʾāti jazāʾu sayyiʾatin bi‑mithlihā wa‑tarhaquhum dhillatun lahum mina allāhi min ʿāṣimin kaannamā ughshiyat wujūhuhum qiṭaʿan mina l‑layli muẓliman ulāʾika aṣḥābu l‑nāri hum fīhā khālidūna
But those who have earned evil will have a reward of like evil: ignominy will cover their (faces): No defender will they have from (the wrath of) Allah: Their faces will be covered, as it were, with pieces from the depth of the darkness of night: they are companions of the Fire: they will abide therein (for aye)!

Surah 13 al-Raʿd (The Thunder)
(13:33)

أَفَمَنْ  هُوَ  قَآئِمٌ  عَلَىٰ  كُلِّ  نَفْسٍۭ  بِمَا  كَسَبَتْ  وَجَعَلُوا۟  لِلَّـهِ  شُرَكَآءَ  قُلْ  سَمُّوهُمْ  أَمْ  تُنَبِّـُٔونَهُۥ  بِمَا  لَا  يَعْلَمُ  فِى  ٱلْأَرْضِ  أَم  بِظَٰهِرٍ  مِّنَ  ٱلْقَوْلِ  بَلْ  زُيِّنَ  لِلَّذِينَ  كَفَرُوا۟  مَكْرُهُمْ  وَصُدُّوا۟  عَنِ  ٱلسَّبِيلِ  وَمَن  يُضْلِلِ  ٱللَّـهُ  فَمَا  لَهُۥ  مِنْ  هَادٍ afaman huwa qāʾimun ʿalā kulli nafsin bi‑mā kasabat wa‑jaʿalū lillāhi shurakāʾa qul sammūhum am tunabbiʾūnahu bi‑mā yaʿlamu l‑arḍi am biẓāhirin mina l‑qawli bal zuyyina li‑lladhīna kafarū makruhum wa‑ṣuddū ʿani l‑sabīli wa‑man yuḍlili allāhu fa‑mā lahu min hādin
Is then He who standeth over every soul (and knoweth) all that it doth, (like any others)? And yet they ascribe partners to Allah. Say: "But name them! is it that ye will inform Him of something he knoweth not on earth, or is it (just) a show of words?" Nay! to those who believe not, their pretence seems pleasing, but they are kept back (thereby) from the path. And those whom Allah leaves to stray, no one can guide.
(13:42)

وَقَدْ  مَكَرَ  ٱلَّذِينَ  مِن  قَبْلِهِمْ  فَلِلَّهِ  ٱلْمَكْرُ  جَمِيعًا  يَعْلَمُ  مَا  تَكْسِبُ  كُلُّ  نَفْسٍ  وَسَيَعْلَمُ  ٱلْكُفَّٰرُ  لِمَنْ  عُقْبَى  ٱلدَّارِ wa‑qad makara lladhīna min qablihim fa‑lillahi l‑makru jamīʿan yaʿlamu taksibu kullu nafsin wa‑sa‑yaʿlamu l‑kuffāru liman ʿuqba l‑dāri
Those before them did (also) devise plots; but in all things the master-planning is Allah's He knoweth the doings of every soul: and soon will the Unbelievers know who gets home in the end.

Surah 14 Ibrāhīm (Abraham)
(14:18)

مَّثَلُ  ٱلَّذِينَ  كَفَرُوا۟  بِرَبِّهِمْ  أَعْمَٰلُهُمْ  كَرَمَادٍ  ٱشْتَدَّتْ  بِهِ  ٱلرِّيحُ  فِى  يَوْمٍ  عَاصِفٍ  لَّا  يَقْدِرُونَ  مِمَّا  كَسَبُوا۟  عَلَىٰ  شَىْءٍ  ذَٰلِكَ  هُوَ  ٱلضَّلَٰلُ  ٱلْبَعِيدُ mathalu lladhīna kafarū bi‑rabbihim aʿmāluhum karamādin ishtaddat bihi l‑rīḥu yawmin ʿāṣifin yaqdirūna mimmā kasabū ʿalā shayʾin dhālika huwa l‑ḍalālu l‑baʿīdu
The parable of those who reject their Lord is that their works are as ashes, on which the wind blows furiously on a tempestuous day: No power have they over aught that they have earned: that is the straying far, far (from the goal).
(14:51)

That Allah may requite each soul according to its deserts; and verily Allah is swift in calling to account.

Surah 15 al-Ḥijr (The Rocky Tract)
(15:84)

And of no avail to them was all that they did (with such art and care)!

Surah 18 al-Kahf (The Cave)
(18:58)

But your Lord is Most forgiving, full of Mercy. If He were to call them (at once) to account for what they have earned, then surely He would have hastened their punishment: but they have their appointed time, beyond which they will find no refuge.

Surah 24 al-Nūr (The Light)
(24:11)

إِنَّ  ٱلَّذِينَ  جَآءُو  بِٱلْإِفْكِ  عُصْبَةٌ  مِّنكُمْ  لَا  تَحْسَبُوهُ  شَرًّا  لَّكُم  بَلْ  هُوَ  خَيْرٌ  لَّكُمْ  لِكُلِّ  ٱمْرِئٍ  مِّنْهُم  مَّا  ٱكْتَسَبَ  مِنَ  ٱلْإِثْمِ  وَٱلَّذِى  تَوَلَّىٰ  كِبْرَهُۥ  مِنْهُمْ  لَهُۥ  عَذَابٌ  عَظِيمٌ inna lladhīna jāʾū bil‑ifki ʿuṣbatun minkum taḥsabūhu sharran llakum bal huwa khayrun la‑kum li‑kulli imriʾin minhum iktasaba mina l‑ithmi wa‑lladhī tawalla kibrahu minhum lahu ʿadhābun ʿaẓīmun
Those who brought forward the lie are a body among yourselves: think it not to be an evil to you; On the contrary it is good for you: to every man among them (will come the punishment) of the sin that he earned, and to him who took on himself the lead among them, will be a penalty grievous.

Surah 30 al-Rūm (The Romans)
(30:41)

Mischief has appeared on land and sea because of (the meed) that the hands of men have earned, that (Allah) may give them a taste of some of their deeds: in order that they may turn back (from Evil).

Surah 31 Luqmān (Lukman)
(31:34)

Verily the knowledge of the Hour is with Allah (alone). It is He Who sends down rain, and He Who knows what is in the wombs. Nor does any one know what it is that he will earn on the morrow: Nor does any one know in what land he is to die. Verily with Allah is full knowledge and He is acquainted (with all things).

Surah 33 al-Aḥzāb (The Allies)
(33:58)

And those who annoy believing men and women undeservedly, bear (on themselves) a calumny and a glaring sin.

Surah 35 al-Faṭīr (The Creator)
(35:45)

If Allah were to punish men according to what they deserve. He would not leave on the back of the (earth) a single living creature: but He gives them respite for a stated Term: when their Term expires, verily Allah has in His sight all His Servants.

Surah 36 Yā Sin (Ya Sin)
(36:65)

That Day shall We set a seal on their mouths. But their hands will speak to us, and their feet bear witness, to all that they did.

Surah 39 al-Zumar (The Companies)
(39:48)

For the evils of their Deeds will confront them, and they will be (completely) encircled by that which they used to mock at!
(39:50)

Thus did the (generations) before them say! But all that they did was of no profit to them.
(39:51)

فَأَصَابَهُمْ  سَيِّـَٔاتُ  مَا  كَسَبُوا۟  وَٱلَّذِينَ  ظَلَمُوا۟  مِنْ  هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ  سَيُصِيبُهُمْ  سَيِّـَٔاتُ  مَا  كَسَبُوا۟  وَمَا  هُم  بِمُعْجِزِينَ fa‑aṣābahum sayyiʾātu kasabū wa‑lladhīna ẓalamū min hāʾulāʾi sa‑yuṣībuhum sayyiʾātu kasabū wa‑mā hum bi‑muʿjizīna
Nay, the evil results of their Deeds overtook them. And the wrong-doers of this (generation)- the evil results of their Deeds will soon overtake them (too), and they will never be able to frustrate (Our Plan)!

Surah 40 al-Ghāfir (The Forgiving One)
(40:17)

That Day will every soul be requited for what it earned; no injustice will there be that Day, for Allah is Swift in taking account.
(40:82)

أَفَلَمْ  يَسِيرُوا۟  فِى  ٱلْأَرْضِ  فَيَنظُرُوا۟  كَيْفَ  كَانَ  عَٰقِبَةُ  ٱلَّذِينَ  مِن  قَبْلِهِمْ  كَانُوٓا۟  أَكْثَرَ  مِنْهُمْ  وَأَشَدَّ  قُوَّةً  وَءَاثَارًا  فِى  ٱلْأَرْضِ  فَمَآ  أَغْنَىٰ  عَنْهُم  مَّا  كَانُوا۟  يَكْسِبُونَ a‑fa‑lam yasīrū l‑arḍi fa‑yanẓurū kayfa kāna ʿāqibatu lladhīna min qablihim kānū akthara minhum wa‑ashadda quwwatan wa‑āthāran l‑arḍi fa‑mā aghnā ʿanhum kānū yaksibūna
Do they not travel through the earth and see what was the End of those before them? They were more numerous than these and superior in strength and in the traces (they have left) in the land: Yet all that they accomplished was of no profit to them.

Surah 41 Fuṣṣilat (Revelations Well Expounded)
(41:17)

As to the Thamud, We gave them Guidance, but they preferred blindness (of heart) to Guidance: so the stunning Punishment of humiliation seized them, because of what they had earned.

Surah 42 al-Shūrā (The Counsel)
(42:22)

Thou wilt see the Wrong-doers in fear on account of what they have earned, and (the burden of) that must (necessarily) fall on them. But those who believe and work righteous deeds will be in the luxuriant meads of the Gardens: they shall have, before their Lord, all that they wish for. That will indeed be the magnificent Bounty (of Allah).
(42:30)

وَمَآ  أَصَٰبَكُم  مِّن  مُّصِيبَةٍ  فَبِمَا  كَسَبَتْ  أَيْدِيكُمْ  وَيَعْفُوا۟  عَن  كَثِيرٍ wa‑mā aṣābakum min muṣībatin fa‑bimā kasabat aydīkum wa‑yaʿfū ʿan kathīrin
Whatever misfortune happens to you, is because on the things your hands have wrought, and for many (of them) He grants forgiveness.
(42:34)

أَوْ  يُوبِقْهُنَّ  بِمَا  كَسَبُوا۟  وَيَعْفُ  عَن  كَثِيرٍ aw yūbiqhunna bi‑mā kasabū wa‑yaʿfu ʿan kathīrin
Or He can cause them to perish because of the (evil) which (the men) have earned; but much doth He forgive.

Surah 45 al-Jāthiyah (The Kneeling)
(45:10)

مِّن  وَرَآئِهِمْ  جَهَنَّمُ  وَلَا  يُغْنِى  عَنْهُم  مَّا  كَسَبُوا۟  شَيْـًٔا  وَلَا  مَا  ٱتَّخَذُوا۟  مِن  دُونِ  ٱللَّـهِ  أَوْلِيَآءَ  وَلَهُمْ  عَذَابٌ  عَظِيمٌ min warāʾihim jahannamu wa‑lā yughnī ʿanhum kasabū shayʾan wa‑lā ittakhadhū min dūni allāhi awliyāʾa wa‑lahum ʿadhābun ʿaẓīmun
In front of them is Hell: and of no profit to them is anything they may have earned, nor any protectors they may have taken to themselves besides Allah: for them is a tremendous Penalty.
(45:14)

Tell those who believe, to forgive those who do not look forward to the Days of Allah: It is for Him to recompense (for good or ill) each People according to what they have earned.
