Surah 2 al-Baqara (The Cow)
RefArabic    TransliterationTranslation
(2:14)

When they meet those who believe, they say: "We believe;" but when they are alone with their evil ones, they say: "We are really with you: We (were) only jesting."
(2:37)

Then learnt Adam from his Lord words of inspiration, and his Lord Turned towards him; for He is Oft-Returning, Most Merciful.
(2:76)

وَإِذَا  لَقُوا۟  ٱلَّذِينَ  ءَامَنُوا۟  قَالُوٓا۟  ءَامَنَّا  وَإِذَا  خَلَا  بَعْضُهُمْ  إِلَىٰ  بَعْضٍ  قَالُوٓا۟  أَتُحَدِّثُونَهُم  بِمَا  فَتَحَ  ٱللَّـهُ  عَلَيْكُمْ  لِيُحَآجُّوكُم  بِهِۦ  عِندَ  رَبِّكُمْ  أَفَلَا  تَعْقِلُونَ wa‑idhā laqū lladhīna āmanū qālū āmannā wa‑idhā khalā baʿḍuhum ilā baʿḍin qālū atuḥaddithūnahum bi‑mā fataḥa allāhu ʿalaykum li‑yuḥājjūkum bihi ʿinda rabbikum a‑fa‑lā taʿqilūna
Behold! when they meet the men of Faith, they say: "We believe": But when they meet each other in private, they say: "Shall you tell them what Allah hath revealed to you, that they may engage you in argument about it before your Lord?"- Do ye not understand (their aim)?
(2:195)

And spend of your substance in the cause of Allah, and make not your own hands contribute to (your) destruction; but do good; for Allah loveth those who do good.

Surah 3 Āl-ʿImrān (The Family of Imran)
(3:44)

ذَٰلِكَ  مِنْ  أَنۢبَآءِ  ٱلْغَيْبِ  نُوحِيهِ  إِلَيْكَ  وَمَا  كُنتَ  لَدَيْهِمْ  إِذْ  يُلْقُونَ  أَقْلَٰمَهُمْ  أَيُّهُمْ  يَكْفُلُ  مَرْيَمَ  وَمَا  كُنتَ  لَدَيْهِمْ  إِذْ  يَخْتَصِمُونَ dhālika min anbāʾi l‑ghaybi nūḥīhi ilayka wa‑mā kunta ladayhim idh yulqūna aqlāmahum ayyuhum yakfulu maryama wa‑mā kunta ladayhim idh yakhtaṣimūna
This is part of the tidings of the things unseen, which We reveal unto thee (O Messenger!) by inspiration: Thou wast not with them when they cast lots with arrows, as to which of them should be charged with the care of Mary: Nor wast thou with them when they disputed (the point).
(3:119)

هَٰٓأَنتُمْ  أُو۟لَآءِ  تُحِبُّونَهُمْ  وَلَا  يُحِبُّونَكُمْ  وَتُؤْمِنُونَ  بِٱلْكِتَٰبِ  كُلِّهِۦ  وَإِذَا  لَقُوكُمْ  قَالُوٓا۟  ءَامَنَّا  وَإِذَا  خَلَوْا۟  عَضُّوا۟  عَلَيْكُمُ  ٱلْأَنَامِلَ  مِنَ  ٱلْغَيْظِ  قُلْ  مُوتُوا۟  بِغَيْظِكُمْ  إِنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  عَلِيمٌۢ  بِذَاتِ  ٱلصُّدُورِ hā‑antum ūlāʾi tuḥibbūnahum wa‑lā yuḥibbūnakum wa‑tuminūna bil‑kitābi kullihi wa‑idhā laqūkum qālū āmannā wa‑idhā khalaw ʿaḍḍū ʿalaykumu l‑anāmila mina l‑ghayẓi qul mūtū bighayẓikum inna allāha ʿalīmun bi‑dhāti l‑ṣudūri
Ah! ye are those who love them, but they love you not,- though ye believe in the whole of the Book. When they meet you, they say, "We believe": But when they are alone, they bite off the very tips of their fingers at you in their rage. Say: "Perish in you rage; Allah knoweth well all the secrets of the heart."
(3:143)

وَلَقَدْ  كُنتُمْ  تَمَنَّوْنَ  ٱلْمَوْتَ  مِن  قَبْلِ  أَن  تَلْقَوْهُ  فَقَدْ  رَأَيْتُمُوهُ  وَأَنتُمْ  تَنظُرُونَ wa‑la‑qad kuntum tamannawna l‑mawtā min qabli an talqawhu fa‑qad raaytumūhu wa‑antum tanẓurūna
Ye did indeed wish for death before ye met him: Now ye have seen him with your own eyes, (And ye flinch!)
(3:155)

Those of you who turned back on the day the two hosts Met,-it was Satan who caused them to fail, because of some (evil) they had done. But Allah Has blotted out (their fault): For Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Forbearing.
(3:166)

What ye suffered on the day the two armies Met, was with the leave of Allah, in order that He might test the believers,-

Surah 4 al-Nisāʾ (The Women)
(4:90)

إِلَّا  ٱلَّذِينَ  يَصِلُونَ  إِلَىٰ  قَوْمٍۭ  بَيْنَكُمْ  وَبَيْنَهُم  مِّيثَٰقٌ  أَوْ  جَآءُوكُمْ  حَصِرَتْ  صُدُورُهُمْ  أَن  يُقَٰتِلُوكُمْ  أَوْ  يُقَٰتِلُوا۟  قَوْمَهُمْ  وَلَوْ  شَآءَ  ٱللَّـهُ  لَسَلَّطَهُمْ  عَلَيْكُمْ  فَلَقَٰتَلُوكُمْ  فَإِنِ  ٱعْتَزَلُوكُمْ  فَلَمْ  يُقَٰتِلُوكُمْ  وَأَلْقَوْا۟  إِلَيْكُمُ  ٱلسَّلَمَ  فَمَا  جَعَلَ  ٱللَّـهُ  لَكُمْ  عَلَيْهِمْ  سَبِيلًا illā lladhīna yaṣilūna ilā qawmin baynakum wa‑baynahum mīthāqun aw jāʾūkum ḥaṣirat ṣudūruhum an yuqātilūkum aw yuqātilū qawmahum wa‑law shāʾa allāhu la‑sallaṭahum ʿalaykum fa‑la‑qātalūkum fa‑ini iʿtazalūkum fa‑lam yuqātilūkum wa‑alqaw ilaykumu l‑salama fa‑mā jaʿala allāhu la‑kum ʿalayhim sabīlan
Except those who join a group between whom and you there is a treaty (of peace), or those who approach you with hearts restraining them from fighting you as well as fighting their own people. If Allah had pleased, He could have given them power over you, and they would have fought you: Therefore if they withdraw from you but fight you not, and (instead) send you (Guarantees of) peace, then Allah Hath opened no way for you (to war against them).
(4:91)

سَتَجِدُونَ  ءَاخَرِينَ  يُرِيدُونَ  أَن  يَأْمَنُوكُمْ  وَيَأْمَنُوا۟  قَوْمَهُمْ  كُلَّ  مَا  رُدُّوٓا۟  إِلَى  ٱلْفِتْنَةِ  أُرْكِسُوا۟  فِيهَا  فَإِن  لَّمْ  يَعْتَزِلُوكُمْ  وَيُلْقُوٓا۟  إِلَيْكُمُ  ٱلسَّلَمَ  وَيَكُفُّوٓا۟  أَيْدِيَهُمْ  فَخُذُوهُمْ  وَٱقْتُلُوهُمْ  حَيْثُ  ثَقِفْتُمُوهُمْ  وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكُمْ  جَعَلْنَا  لَكُمْ  عَلَيْهِمْ  سُلْطَٰنًا  مُّبِينًا sa‑tajidūna ākharīna yurīdūna an yaʾmanūkum wa‑yaʾmanū qawmahum kulla ruddū ilā l‑fitnati urkisū fīhā fa‑in lam yaʿtazilūkum wa‑yulqū ilaykumu l‑salama wa‑yakuffū aydiyahum fa‑khudhūhum wa‑aqtulūhum ḥaythu thaqiftumūhum wa‑ūlāʾikum jaʿalnā la‑kum ʿalayhim sulṭānan mubīnan
Others you will find that wish to gain your confidence as well as that of their people: Every time they are sent back to temptation, they succumb thereto: if they withdraw not from you nor give you (guarantees) of peace besides restraining their hands, seize them and slay them wherever ye get them: In their case We have provided you with a clear argument against them.
(4:94)

O ye who believe! When ye go abroad in the cause of Allah, investigate carefully, and say not to any one who offers you a salutation: "Thou art none of a believer!" Coveting the perishable goods of this life: with Allah are profits and spoils abundant. Even thus were ye yourselves before, till Allah conferred on you His favours: Therefore carefully investigate. For Allah is well aware of all that ye do.
(4:171)

يَٰٓأَهْلَ  ٱلْكِتَٰبِ  لَا  تَغْلُوا۟  فِى  دِينِكُمْ  وَلَا  تَقُولُوا۟  عَلَى  ٱللَّـهِ  إِلَّا  ٱلْحَقَّ  إِنَّمَا  ٱلْمَسِيحُ  عِيسَى  ٱبْنُ  مَرْيَمَ  رَسُولُ  ٱللَّـهِ  وَكَلِمَتُهُۥٓ  أَلْقَىٰهَآ  إِلَىٰ  مَرْيَمَ  وَرُوحٌ  مِّنْهُ  فَـَٔامِنُوا۟  بِٱللَّـهِ  وَرُسُلِهِۦ  وَلَا  تَقُولُوا۟  ثَلَٰثَةٌ  ٱنتَهُوا۟  خَيْرًا  لَّكُمْ  إِنَّمَا  ٱللَّـهُ  إِلَٰهٌ  وَٰحِدٌ  سُبْحَٰنَهُۥٓ  أَن  يَكُونَ  لَهُۥ  وَلَدٌ  لَّهُۥ  مَا  فِى  ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ  وَمَا  فِى  ٱلْأَرْضِ  وَكَفَىٰ  بِٱللَّـهِ  وَكِيلًا yāʾahla l‑kitābi taghlū dīnikum wa‑lā taqūlū ʿalā allāhi illā l‑ḥaqqa innamā l‑masīḥu ʿīsā ibnu maryama rasūlu allāhi wa‑kalimatuhu alqahā ilā maryama wa‑rūḥun minhu fa‑āminū billāhi wa‑rusulihi wa‑lā taqūlū thalāthatun antahū khayran la‑kum innamā allāhu ilāhun wāḥidun subḥānahu an yakūna lahu waladun lahu l‑samāwāti wa‑mā l‑arḍi wa‑kafā billāhi wakīlan
O People of the Book! Commit no excesses in your religion: Nor say of Allah aught but the truth. Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) a messenger of Allah, and His Word, which He bestowed on Mary, and a spirit proceeding from Him: so believe in Allah and His messengers. Say not "Trinity" : desist: it will be better for you: for Allah is one Allah: Glory be to Him: (far exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belong all things in the heavens and on earth. And enough is Allah as a Disposer of affairs.

Surah 7 al-Aʿrāf (The Heights)
(7:107)

Then (Moses) threw his rod, and behold! it was a serpent, plain (for all to see)!
(7:115)

قَالُوا۟  يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ  إِمَّآ  أَن  تُلْقِىَ  وَإِمَّآ  أَن  نَّكُونَ  نَحْنُ  ٱلْمُلْقِينَ qālū yā‑mūsā immā an tulqiya waimmā an nnakūna naḥnu l‑mulqīna
They said: "O Moses! wilt thou throw (first), or shall we have the (first) throw?"
(7:116)

قَالَ  أَلْقُوا۟  فَلَمَّآ  أَلْقَوْا۟  سَحَرُوٓا۟  أَعْيُنَ  ٱلنَّاسِ  وَٱسْتَرْهَبُوهُمْ  وَجَآءُو  بِسِحْرٍ  عَظِيمٍ qalā alqū fa‑lammā alqaw saḥarū aʿyuna l‑nāsi wa‑istarhabūhum wa‑jāʾū bi‑siḥrin ʿaẓīmin
Said Moses: "Throw ye (first)." So when they threw, they bewitched the eyes of the people, and struck terror into them: for they showed a great (feat of) magic.
(7:117)

وَأَوْحَيْنَآ  إِلَىٰ  مُوسَىٰٓ  أَنْ  أَلْقِ  عَصَاكَ  فَإِذَا  هِىَ  تَلْقَفُ  مَا  يَأْفِكُونَ wa‑awḥaynā ilā mūsā an alqi ʿaṣāka fa‑idhā hiya talqafu yafikūna
We put it into Moses's mind by inspiration: "Throw (now) thy rod":and behold! it swallows up straight away all the falsehoods which they fake!
(7:120)

But the sorcerers fell down prostrate in adoration.
(7:150)

وَلَمَّا  رَجَعَ  مُوسَىٰٓ  إِلَىٰ  قَوْمِهِۦ  غَضْبَٰنَ  أَسِفًا  قَالَ  بِئْسَمَا  خَلَفْتُمُونِى  مِنۢ  بَعْدِىٓ  أَعَجِلْتُمْ  أَمْرَ  رَبِّكُمْ  وَأَلْقَى  ٱلْأَلْوَاحَ  وَأَخَذَ  بِرَأْسِ  أَخِيهِ  يَجُرُّهُۥٓ  إِلَيْهِ  قَالَ  ٱبْنَ  أُمَّ  إِنَّ  ٱلْقَوْمَ  ٱسْتَضْعَفُونِى  وَكَادُوا۟  يَقْتُلُونَنِى  فَلَا  تُشْمِتْ  بِىَ  ٱلْأَعْدَآءَ  وَلَا  تَجْعَلْنِى  مَعَ  ٱلْقَوْمِ  ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ wa‑lammā rajaʿa mūsā ilā qawmihi ghaḍbāna asifan qalā biʾsamā khalaftumūnī min baʿdī aʿajiltum amra rabbikum wa‑alqa l‑alwāḥa wa‑akhadha bi‑raʾsi akhīhi yajurruhu ilayhi qalā ibna umma inna l‑qawma istaḍʿafūnī wa‑kādū yaqtulūnanī fa‑lā tushmit biya l‑aʿdāʾa wa‑lā tajʿalnī maʿa l‑qawmi l‑ẓālimīna
When Moses came back to his people, angry and grieved, he said: "Evil it is that ye have done in my place in my absence: did ye make haste to bring on the judgment of your Lord?" He put down the tablets, seized his brother by (the hair of) his head, and dragged him to him. Aaron said: "Son of my mother! the people did indeed reckon me as naught, and went near to slaying me! Make not the enemies rejoice over my misfortune, nor count thou me amongst the people of sin."

Surah 8 al-Anfāl (The Spoils of War)
(8:15)

O ye who believe! when ye meet the Unbelievers in hostile array, never turn your backs to them.
(8:41)

وَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟  أَنَّمَا  غَنِمْتُم  مِّن  شَىْءٍ  فَأَنَّ  لِلَّـهِ  خُمُسَهُۥ  وَلِلرَّسُولِ  وَلِذِى  ٱلْقُرْبَىٰ  وَٱلْيَتَٰمَىٰ  وَٱلْمَسَٰكِينِ  وَٱبْنِ  ٱلسَّبِيلِ  إِن  كُنتُمْ  ءَامَنتُم  بِٱللَّـهِ  وَمَآ  أَنزَلْنَا  عَلَىٰ  عَبْدِنَا  يَوْمَ  ٱلْفُرْقَانِ  يَوْمَ  ٱلْتَقَى  ٱلْجَمْعَانِ  وَٱللَّـهُ  عَلَىٰ  كُلِّ  شَىْءٍ  قَدِيرٌ wa‑iʿlamū annamā ghanimtum min shayʾin fa‑annā lillāhi khumusahu wa‑lil‑rasūli wa‑lidhī l‑qurbā wa‑l‑yatāmā wa‑l‑masākīni wa‑ibni l‑sabīli in kuntum āmantum billāhi wa‑mā anzalnā ʿalā ʿabdinā yawma l‑furqāni yawma iltaqā l‑jamʿāni wallāhu ʿalā kulli shayʾin qadīrun
And know that out of all the booty that ye may acquire (in war), a fifth share is assigned to Allah,- and to the Messenger, and to near relatives, orphans, the needy, and the wayfarer,- if ye do believe in Allah and in the revelation We sent down to Our servant on the Day of Testing,- the Day of the meeting of the two forces. For Allah hath power over all things.
(8:44)

وَإِذْ  يُرِيكُمُوهُمْ  إِذِ  ٱلْتَقَيْتُمْ  فِىٓ  أَعْيُنِكُمْ  قَلِيلًا  وَيُقَلِّلُكُمْ  فِىٓ  أَعْيُنِهِمْ  لِيَقْضِىَ  ٱللَّـهُ  أَمْرًا  كَانَ  مَفْعُولًا  وَإِلَى  ٱللَّـهِ  تُرْجَعُ  ٱلْأُمُورُ wa‑idh yurīkumūhum idhi l‑taqaytum aʿyunikum qalīlan wa‑yuqalilukum aʿyunihim li‑yaqḍiya allāhu amran kāna mafʿūlan wa‑ilā allāhi turjaʿu l‑umūru
And remember when ye met, He showed them to you as few in your eyes, and He made you appear as contemptible in their eyes: that Allah might accomplish a matter already enacted. For to Allah do all questions go back (for decision).
(8:45)

O ye who believe! When ye meet a force, be firm, and call Allah in remembrance much (and often); that ye may prosper:

Surah 9 al-Tawbah (Repentance)
(9:77)

فَأَعْقَبَهُمْ  نِفَاقًا  فِى  قُلُوبِهِمْ  إِلَىٰ  يَوْمِ  يَلْقَوْنَهُۥ  بِمَآ  أَخْلَفُوا۟  ٱللَّـهَ  مَا  وَعَدُوهُ  وَبِمَا  كَانُوا۟  يَكْذِبُونَ fa‑aʿqabahum nifāqan qulūbihim ilā yawmi yalqawnahu bimā akhlafū allāha waʿadūhu wa‑bimā kānū yakdhibūna
So He hath put as a consequence hypocrisy into their hearts, (to last) till the Day, whereon they shall meet Him: because they broke their covenant with Allah, and because they lied (again and again).

Surah 10 Yūnus (Jonah)
(10:80)

When the sorcerers came, Moses said to them: "Throw ye what ye (wish) to throw!"
(10:81)

When they had had their throw, Moses said: "What ye have brought is sorcery: Allah will surely make it of no effect: for Allah prospereth not the work of those who make mischief.

Surah 12 Yūsuf (Joseph)
(12:10)

قَالَ  قَآئِلٌ  مِّنْهُمْ  لَا  تَقْتُلُوا۟  يُوسُفَ  وَأَلْقُوهُ  فِى  غَيَٰبَتِ  ٱلْجُبِّ  يَلْتَقِطْهُ  بَعْضُ  ٱلسَّيَّارَةِ  إِن  كُنتُمْ  فَٰعِلِينَ qalā qāʾilun minhum taqtulū yūsufa wa‑alqūhu ghayābati l‑jubbi yaltaqiṭhu baʿḍu l‑sayyārati in kuntum fāʿilīna
Said one of them: "Slay not Joseph, but if ye must do something, throw him down to the bottom of the well: he will be picked up by some caravan of travellers."
(12:93)

"Go with this my shirt, and cast it over the face of my father: he will come to see (clearly). Then come ye (here) to me together with all your family."
(12:96)

فَلَمَّآ  أَن  جَآءَ  ٱلْبَشِيرُ  أَلْقَىٰهُ  عَلَىٰ  وَجْهِهِۦ  فَٱرْتَدَّ  بَصِيرًا  قَالَ  أَلَمْ  أَقُل  لَّكُمْ  إِنِّىٓ  أَعْلَمُ  مِنَ  ٱللَّـهِ  مَا  لَا  تَعْلَمُونَ fa‑lammā an jāa l‑bashīru alqahu ʿalā wajhihi fartadda baṣīran qalā a‑lam aqul la‑kum innī aʿlamu mina allāhi taʿlamūna
Then when the bearer of the good news came, He cast (the shirt) over his face, and he forthwith regained clear sight. He said: "Did I not say to you, 'I know from Allah that which ye know not?'"

Surah 16 al-Naḥl (The Bee)
(16:15)

وَأَلْقَىٰ  فِى  ٱلْأَرْضِ  رَوَٰسِىَ  أَن  تَمِيدَ  بِكُمْ  وَأَنْهَٰرًا  وَسُبُلًا  لَّعَلَّكُمْ  تَهْتَدُونَ wa‑alqa l‑arḍi rawāsiya an tamīda bikum wa‑anhāran wa‑subulan la‑ʿallakum tahtadūna
And He has set up on the earth mountains standing firm, lest it should shake with you; and rivers and roads; that ye may guide yourselves;
(16:28)

"(Namely) those whose lives the angels take in a state of wrong-doing to their own souls." Then would they offer submission (with the pretence), "We did no evil (knowingly)." (The angels will reply), "Nay, but verily Allah knoweth all that ye did;
(16:86)

وَإِذَا  رَءَا  ٱلَّذِينَ  أَشْرَكُوا۟  شُرَكَآءَهُمْ  قَالُوا۟  رَبَّنَا  هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ  شُرَكَآؤُنَا  ٱلَّذِينَ  كُنَّا  نَدْعُوا۟  مِن  دُونِكَ  فَأَلْقَوْا۟  إِلَيْهِمُ  ٱلْقَوْلَ  إِنَّكُمْ  لَكَٰذِبُونَ wa‑idhā raʾā lladhīna ashrakū shurakāʾahum qālū rabbanā hāʾulāʾi shurakāʾunā lladhīna kunnā nadʿū min dūnika fa‑alqaw ilayhimu l‑qawla innakum la‑kādhibūna
When those who gave partners to Allah will see their "partners", they will say: "Our Lord! these are our 'partners,' those whom we used to invoke besides Thee." But they will throw back their word at them (and say): "Indeed ye are liars!"
(16:87)

That Day shall they (openly) show (their) submission to Allah; and all their inventions shall leave them in the lurch.

Surah 17 al-Isrāʾ (The Children of Israel)
(17:13)

Every man's fate We have fastened on his own neck: On the Day of Judgment We shall bring out for him a scroll, which he will see spread open.
(17:39)

ذَٰلِكَ  مِمَّآ  أَوْحَىٰٓ  إِلَيْكَ  رَبُّكَ  مِنَ  ٱلْحِكْمَةِ  وَلَا  تَجْعَلْ  مَعَ  ٱللَّـهِ  إِلَٰهًا  ءَاخَرَ  فَتُلْقَىٰ  فِى  جَهَنَّمَ  مَلُومًا  مَّدْحُورًا dhālika mimmā awḥā ilayka rabbuka mina l‑ḥikmati wa‑lā tajʿal maʿa allāhi ilāhan ākhara fa‑tulqā jahannama malūman madḥūran
These are among the (precepts of) wisdom, which thy Lord has revealed to thee. Take not, with Allah, another object of worship, lest thou shouldst be thrown into Hell, blameworthy and rejected.

Surah 18 al-Kahf (The Cave)
(18:74)

فَٱنطَلَقَا  حَتَّىٰٓ  إِذَا  لَقِيَا  غُلَٰمًا  فَقَتَلَهُۥ  قَالَ  أَقَتَلْتَ  نَفْسًا  زَكِيَّةًۢ  بِغَيْرِ  نَفْسٍ  لَّقَدْ  جِئْتَ  شَيْـًٔا  نُّكْرًا fa‑inṭalaqā ḥatta idhā laqīā ghulāman faqatalahu qalā aqatalta nafsan zakīyatan bi‑ghayri nafsin llaqad jiʾta shayʾan nnukran
Then they proceeded: until, when they met a young man, he slew him. Moses said: "Hast thou slain an innocent person who had slain none? Truly a foul (unheard of) thing hast thou done!"

Surah 19 Maryam (Mary)
(19:59)

But after them there followed a posterity who missed prayers and followed after lusts soon, then, will they face Destruction,-

Surah 20 Ṭā Hā (Ta-Ha)
(20:19)

(Allah) said, "Throw it, O Moses!"
(20:20)

فَأَلْقَىٰهَا  فَإِذَا  هِىَ  حَيَّةٌ  تَسْعَىٰ fa‑alqāhā fa‑idhā hiya ḥayyatun tasʿa
He threw it, and behold! It was a snake, active in motion.
(20:39)

أَنِ  ٱقْذِفِيهِ  فِى  ٱلتَّابُوتِ  فَٱقْذِفِيهِ  فِى  ٱلْيَمِّ  فَلْيُلْقِهِ  ٱلْيَمُّ  بِٱلسَّاحِلِ  يَأْخُذْهُ  عَدُوٌّ  لِّى  وَعَدُوٌّ  لَّهُۥ  وَأَلْقَيْتُ  عَلَيْكَ  مَحَبَّةً  مِّنِّى  وَلِتُصْنَعَ  عَلَىٰ  عَيْنِىٓ ani iqdhifīhi l‑tābūti fa‑iqdhifīhi l‑yammi fa‑l‑yulqihi l‑yammu bil‑sāḥili yakhudhhu ʿaduwwun wa‑ʿaduwwun lahu wa‑alqaytu ʿalayka maḥabbatan minnī wa‑li‑tuṣnaʿa ʿalā ʿaynī
"'Throw (the child) into the chest, and throw (the chest) into the river: the river will cast him up on the bank, and he will be taken up by one who is an enemy to Me and an enemy to him': But I cast (the garment of) love over thee from Me: and (this) in order that thou mayest be reared under Mine eye.
(20:65)

قَالُوا۟  يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ  إِمَّآ  أَن  تُلْقِىَ  وَإِمَّآ  أَن  نَّكُونَ  أَوَّلَ  مَنْ  أَلْقَىٰ qālū yā‑mūsā immā an tulqiya waimmā an nnakūna awwala man alqā
They said: "O Moses! whether wilt thou that thou throw (first) or that we be the first to throw?"
(20:66)

قَالَ  بَلْ  أَلْقُوا۟  فَإِذَا  حِبَالُهُمْ  وَعِصِيُّهُمْ  يُخَيَّلُ  إِلَيْهِ  مِن  سِحْرِهِمْ  أَنَّهَا  تَسْعَىٰ qalā bal alqū fa‑idhā ḥibāluhum wa‑ʿiṣīyuhum yukhayyalu ilayhi min siḥrihim annahā tasʿa
He said, "Nay, throw ye first!" Then behold their ropes and their rods-so it seemed to him on account of their magic - began to be in lively motion!
(20:69)

"Throw that which is in thy right hand: Quickly will it swallow up that which they have faked what they have faked is but a magician's trick: and the magician thrives not, (no matter) where he goes."
(20:70)

So the magicians were thrown down to prostration: they said, "We believe in the Lord of Aaron and Moses".
(20:87)

They said: "We broke not the promise to thee, as far as lay in our power: but we were made to carry the weight of the ornaments of the (whole) people, and we threw them (into the fire), and that was what the Samiri suggested.

Surah 21 al-Anbiyāʾ (The Prophets)
(21:103)

The Great Terror will bring them no grief: but the angels will meet them (with mutual greetings): "This is your Day,- (the Day) that ye were promised."

Surah 22 al-Ḥajj (The Pilgrimage)
(22:52)

Never did We send a messenger or a prophet before thee, but, when he framed a desire, Satan threw some (vanity) into his desire: but Allah will cancel anything (vain) that Satan throws in, and Allah will confirm (and establish) His Signs: for Allah is full of Knowledge and Wisdom:
(22:53)

That He may make the suggestions thrown in by Satan, but a trial for those in whose hearts is a disease and who are hardened of heart: verily the wrong-doers are in a schism far (from the Truth):

Surah 24 al-Nūr (The Light)
(24:15)

Behold, ye received it on your tongues, and said out of your mouths things of which ye had no knowledge; and ye thought it to be a light matter, while it was most serious in the sight of Allah.

Surah 25 al-Furqān (The Criterion)
(25:8)

أَوْ  يُلْقَىٰٓ  إِلَيْهِ  كَنزٌ  أَوْ  تَكُونُ  لَهُۥ  جَنَّةٌ  يَأْكُلُ  مِنْهَا  وَقَالَ  ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ  إِن  تَتَّبِعُونَ  إِلَّا  رَجُلًا  مَّسْحُورًا aw yulqā ilayhi kanzun aw takūnu lahu jannatun yakulu minhā wa‑qāla l‑ẓālimūna in tattabiʿūna illā rajulan masḥūran
"Or (Why) has not a treasure been bestowed on him, or why has he (not) a garden for enjoyment?" The wicked say: "Ye follow none other than a man bewitched."
