Sura al-Ḥijr 15:3

ذَرْهُمْ يَأْكُلُوا۟ وَيَتَمَتَّعُوا۟ وَيُلْهِهِمُ ٱلْأَمَلُ فَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ

dharhum yakulū wa-yatamattaʿū wa-yulhihimu l-amalu fa-sawfa yaʿlamūna

Leave them alone, to enjoy (the good things of this life) and to please themselves: let (false) hope amuse them: soon will knowledge (undeceive them).

Sura al-Nūr 24:37

رِجَالٌ لَّا تُلْهِيهِمْ تِجَٰرَةٌ وَلَا بَيْعٌ عَن ذِكْرِ ٱللَّـهِ وَإِقَامِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ وَإِيتَآءِ ٱلزَّكَوٰةِ يَخَافُونَ يَوْمًا تَتَقَلَّبُ فِيهِ ٱلْقُلُوبُ وَٱلْأَبْصَٰرُ

rijālun lā tulhīhim tijāratun wa-lā bayʿun ʿan dhikri allāhi wa-iqāmi l-ṣalawti wa-ītāʾi l-zakawti yakhāfūna yawman tataqallabu fīhi l-qulūbu wa-l-abṣāru

By men whom neither traffic nor merchandise can divert from the Remembrance of Allah, nor from regular Prayer, nor from the practice of regular Charity: Their (only) fear is for the Day when hearts and eyes will be transformed (in a world wholly new),-

Sura al-Munāfiqūn 63:9

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تُلْهِكُمْ أَمْوَٰلُكُمْ وَلَآ أَوْلَٰدُكُمْ عَن ذِكْرِ ٱللَّـهِ وَمَن يَفْعَلْ ذَٰلِكَ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْخَٰسِرُونَ

yā-ayyuhā lladhīna āmanū lā tulhikum amwālukum wa-lā awlādukum ʿan dhikri allāhi wa-man yafʿal dhālika fa-ūlāʾika humu l-khāsirūna

O ye who believe! Let not your riches or your children divert you from the remembrance of Allah. If any act thus, the loss is their own.

Sura al-ʿAbasa 80:10

فَأَنتَ عَنْهُ تَلَهَّىٰ

fa-anta ʿanhu talahhā

Of him wast thou unmindful.

Sura al-Takāthur 102:1

أَلْهَىٰكُمُ ٱلتَّكَاثُرُ

alhākumu l-takāthuru

The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things),
