Surah 2 al-Baqara (The Cow)
RefArabic    TransliterationTranslation
(2:267)

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا  ٱلَّذِينَ  ءَامَنُوٓا۟  أَنفِقُوا۟  مِن  طَيِّبَٰتِ  مَا  كَسَبْتُمْ  وَمِمَّآ  أَخْرَجْنَا  لَكُم  مِّنَ  ٱلْأَرْضِ  وَلَا  تَيَمَّمُوا۟  ٱلْخَبِيثَ  مِنْهُ  تُنفِقُونَ  وَلَسْتُم  بِـَٔاخِذِيهِ  إِلَّآ  أَن  تُغْمِضُوا۟  فِيهِ  وَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟  أَنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  غَنِىٌّ  حَمِيدٌ yā‑ayyuhā lladhīna āmanū anfiqū min ṭayyibāti kasabtum wa‑mimmā akhrajnā la‑kum mina l‑arḍi wa‑lā tayammamū l‑khabītha minhu tunfiqūna wa‑lastum bi‑ākhidhīhi illā an tughmiḍū fīhi waʿlamū annā allāha ghaniyyun ḥamīdun
O ye who believe! Give of the good things which ye have (honourably) earned, and of the fruits of the earth which We have produced for you, and do not even aim at getting anything which is bad, in order that out of it ye may give away something, when ye yourselves would not receive it except with closed eyes. And know that Allah is Free of all wants, and worthy of all praise.

Surah 3 Āl-ʿImrān (The Family of Imran)
(3:113)

لَيْسُوا۟  سَوَآءً  مِّنْ  أَهْلِ  ٱلْكِتَٰبِ  أُمَّةٌ  قَآئِمَةٌ  يَتْلُونَ  ءَايَٰتِ  ٱللَّـهِ  ءَانَآءَ  ٱلَّيْلِ  وَهُمْ  يَسْجُدُونَ laysū sawāʾan min ahli l‑kitābi ummatun qāʾimatun yatlūna āyāti allāhi ānāʾa l‑layli wa‑hum yasjudūna
Not all of them are alike: Of the People of the Book are a portion that stand (For the right): They rehearse the Signs of Allah all night long, and they prostrate themselves in adoration.

Surah 5 al-Māʾidah (The Table Spread)
(5:68)

قُلْ  يَٰٓأَهْلَ  ٱلْكِتَٰبِ  لَسْتُمْ  عَلَىٰ  شَىْءٍ  حَتَّىٰ  تُقِيمُوا۟  ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةَ  وَٱلْإِنجِيلَ  وَمَآ  أُنزِلَ  إِلَيْكُم  مِّن  رَّبِّكُمْ  وَلَيَزِيدَنَّ  كَثِيرًا  مِّنْهُم  مَّآ  أُنزِلَ  إِلَيْكَ  مِن  رَّبِّكَ  طُغْيَٰنًا  وَكُفْرًا  فَلَا  تَأْسَ  عَلَى  ٱلْقَوْمِ  ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ qul yāʾahla l‑kitābi lastum ʿalā shayʾin ḥattā tuqīmū l‑tawrāta wa‑l‑injīla wa‑mā unzila ilaykum min rabbikum wa‑la‑yazīdanna kathīran minhum unzila ilayka min rabbika ṭughyānan wa‑kufran fa‑lā taʾsa ʿalā l‑qawmi l‑kāfirīna
Say: "O People of the Book! ye have no ground to stand upon unless ye stand fast by the Law, the Gospel, and all the revelation that has come to you from your Lord." It is the revelation that cometh to thee from thy Lord, that increaseth in most of them their obstinate rebellion and blasphemy. But sorrow thou not over (these) people without Faith.

Surah 6 al-Anʿām (The Cattle)
(6:89)

أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ  ٱلَّذِينَ  ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمُ  ٱلْكِتَٰبَ  وَٱلْحُكْمَ  وَٱلنُّبُوَّةَ  فَإِن  يَكْفُرْ  بِهَا  هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ  فَقَدْ  وَكَّلْنَا  بِهَا  قَوْمًا  لَّيْسُوا۟  بِهَا  بِكَٰفِرِينَ ulāʾika lladhīna ātaynāhumu l‑kitāba wa‑l‑ḥukma wa‑l‑nubuwwata fa‑in yakfur bihā hāʾulāʾi fa‑qad wakkalnā bihā qawman laysū bihā bikāfirīna
These were the men to whom We gave the Book, and authority, and prophethood: if these (their descendants) reject them, Behold! We shall entrust their charge to a new people who reject them not.

Surah 15 al-Ḥijr (The Rocky Tract)
(15:20)

وَجَعَلْنَا  لَكُمْ  فِيهَا  مَعَٰيِشَ  وَمَن  لَّسْتُمْ  لَهُۥ  بِرَٰزِقِينَ wa‑jaʿalnā la‑kum fīhā maʿāyisha wa‑man llastum lahu birāziqīna
And We have provided therein means of subsistence,- for you and for those for whose sustenance ye are not responsible.

Surah 33 al-Aḥzāb (The Allies)
(33:32)

يَٰنِسَآءَ  ٱلنَّبِىِّ  لَسْتُنَّ  كَأَحَدٍ  مِّنَ  ٱلنِّسَآءِ  إِنِ  ٱتَّقَيْتُنَّ  فَلَا  تَخْضَعْنَ  بِٱلْقَوْلِ  فَيَطْمَعَ  ٱلَّذِى  فِى  قَلْبِهِۦ  مَرَضٌ  وَقُلْنَ  قَوْلًا  مَّعْرُوفًا yā‑nisāʾa l‑nabiyyi lastunna ka‑aḥadin mina l‑nisāʾi ini ittaqaytunna fa‑lā takhḍaʿna bil‑qawli fa‑yaṭmaʿa alladhī qalbihi maraḍun wa‑qulna qawlan maʿrūfan
O Consorts of the Prophet! Ye are not like any of the (other) women: if ye do fear (Allah), be not too complacent of speech, lest one in whose heart is a disease should be moved with desire: but speak ye a speech (that is) just.
